#I started genshin for the pretty visuals and artstyle and stayed for the lore and characters

I think that one of the main reasons why I like Genshin lore so much is that it’s basically a Mandelbrot set. At first glance, a lot of it is Nothing™ but all you have to do is zoom in a little bit and see colors and patterns beyond comprehension. You can get lost in the beautiful patterns, and if you zoom in far enough everything repeats itself. It’s so wonderful and fascinating and complex and sososososososo interesting but I think the problem is that most people are just trying to zoom into the middle where there’s nothing but Void™, or trying to view the set by just taking a screenshot and zooming in. Of course you’re not going to be impressed, you have to actually move your cursor around or zoom out to see how close you are to the edge.
#genshin lore#rants#my posts#original posts#mandelbrot set#just to clarify this entire post is an analogy about genshin lore#I don’t know if trying to zoom in on the mandelbrot set by screenshotting is a real thing. I just know that people don’t look super closely#at the lore#I’m not a fan of genshin players who actively pls the same and are passionate about it but don’t care about 99 percent of the lore#I started genshin for the pretty visuals and artstyle and stayed for the lore and characters#also. if you’re tired of zooming into the void you can just take a screenshot and start doodling on it. You don’t have to leave it blank yo#can fill it in#though I don’t know how that fits in with the analogy mathematically#anyway. shoutout to genshin lore#genshin impact#genshin
