just realised I never posted this. Clovis headcanons (+ general Hypnos kid hcs) because he's one of my favourite characters and Hypnos is my favourite god

- knows how to give people piercings. Him and Nyssa did Nico's.

- so many people tell him he looks like his dad's hadesgame design. he can't even refute it bc he does

- does volunteer nightshifts in the infirmary, particularly in late spring/ early summer when there's a bunch of new campers

- has met over a dozen of his immortal siblings and remembers all about them

- the only one he doesn't like is Morpheus, because he recruited all of his human siblings to be in the titan army.

- has a pair of really small wings, one just above and behind each ear

- very birdlike, chirps and trills, bed resembles a nest, loves 'preening' his friends

- besties with Nico and Lou Ellen

- has a queerplatonic relationship with Pollux

- while he rarely needs to fight, when he does he'll use a branch of poplar wood intertwined with poppies almost as a wand to conduct his magic.

-habitual weed smoker

- yes, he can hypnotise people.

- one of the first things Hypnos kids have to learn is controlling their hypnotic abilities- altering the way they speak and move to make it less mesmerising.

- if they're in the heat of battle they can forgo it- their allies won't be affected because they're actively channelling their power elsewhere

- you know that one meme, 'not a good sign: this zookeeper is hauling ass.'? that's how the rest of camp feels when a Hypnos kid starts getting worked up about something.

-hypnos kids are usually very heavy sleepers - however if they're dream hopping, and/ or haven't severed their 'dream' and 'waking' selves properly, they are prone to sleepwalking (particularly if they are younger or out of practice)

- most of them also have narcolepsy, hypersomnia, a disrupted circadian rhythm, or a combination.

-lucky boy here gets narcolepsy and a delayed circadian rhythm that makes him pretty much nocturnal.

- I've said it before and I'll say it again: champion of Thanatos.

-he doesn't even really need a champion he just felt like pissing his brother off by claiming one of his kids.

-another one I've mentioned before; Hypnos kids are made of dream mist. the amount varies but usually around 50% of their bodies are made of it. (their father's divine... genetics? blessing? idk demigods are weird and their parents pulling shit like this doesn't make figuring things out any easier) (<- said like this isn't just something that I decided should be true just bc it's cool)

-while Hypnos adores humans, them spending ~1/3 of their lives in his domain and all, he doesn't have demigod children that often as he already has 1000 immortal children

-even so, he does make an effort to form a bond with his mortal children, and is probably one of the most proactive gods in that regard (do NOT tell the other gods though they will get pissed)

-cabin 15 has an "open door policy" of sorts, where anyone, whether they're a camper, hunter, visitor from another pantheon, monster, mortal, god or anyone else, is allowed to stay overnight or request assistance with sleep issues.

-they also probably help Mr D's kids grow weed
