No kiss fine morning ready at 9 50 and went to M- for a few minutes - then went down to Mr. Husband - he wanted Thomas Sawyer and his man (2 of the York joiners) to do the stable at Mawsons’ - yes! then went to Mr. SW- who had brought me back the coal plans - said I would give him Mr. Charles Robinson’s lease tomorrow to get transferred to Mark Hepworth - breakfast at 10 ¼ - found M- had come down ready for being off - she took leave of A- about 11 ¼ and we set off - looked about is a little at home and then walked to the Lodge - there from 11 ¾ to 12 25 when the mail drove up, Duncan Milne jumped off from the outside and handed M- in (Robert the footman, too, in waiting) and she was soon out of sight - I had just had time to shake hands with DM. and wish M- goodbye - I think her visit has been a satisfactory one - she said so - but I think she did not expect to find me so really satisfied and attached to A- or so poof against all her π-’s blandishments she has reminded me constantly and very much of Mrs. Milne she would have intrigued if I would but I have turned all her open lipped kisses chastely tho’ kindly always ssaying Mary thou art a great pet  no symptom of passion for her as escaped me in saying once that if anything happened to A- I should feel quite lost and must have someone π asked if I would take her I got off and made no reply I think she was often disappointed at my calmness the fact is I am not sorry she is gone  in speaking of our going to Lawton π seemed uncertain whether δ would be civil to A- hinting at her family I said that would not do π to let me know in some I but not A- could understand whether δ would receive A- well or not if we go to Lawton in passing told M- we should only stay 2 days - said lastly our going at all was uncertain - on my return home at 12 35 Robert Mann waiting for me to shew me the dry wall groined arching - Mr. Husband had the centres struck this morning - the apex part of 1st groined arch fell in while Robert and I were standing look at it - talked of what should be done - came in to A- at 1 ½ for ½ hour then out again - with the gardener and Hemingway the Wyke gardener + 2 trenching the Conery low end for planting - then with Robert M- again and again with the gardener and about till came in at 5 - dressed - paid Ingham up to tonight and the 2 masons and had them till dinner at 7 10 - afterwards asleep on the sofa till coffee between 9 and 10 - from 9 ¾ to 11 25 wrote out the whole of Thursday yesterday and today - fine day F49° now at 11 25 pm rainy night - Oddy returned yesterday afternoon and cooked for us today 1st time very well

SKAM

w/all the hype around wtFOCK s3 rn i was feeling all nostalgic so i decided to rewatch SKAM s1 again... and since the first time it came out and i watched it, all these years have passed and it fucking hits different now

i just finished ep1 and just,,, eva’s struggle with her friends hits so fucking close to home. i just graduated year 12 here in australia (translation = i graduated highschool), and it was this year that my two best friends of five or so years ditched me.

seeing eva going through her old friends ignoring her and calling her names when she tries to talk to them didn’t hurt as much last time.

but now? man i can’t stop crying, because i know those feelings so fucking personally now. five years together for nothing. i leave school and we’re fine - i hug M goodbye at the bus and wave her off, and i joke with S that if we’re not married by the time we’re 40 we’ll just marry each other, as we always did,

and i turn up to school the next day and they didn’t look at me.

didn’t speak to me.

didn’t say hello, didn’t hug me goodbye

for two. fucking. weeks.

That’s what i love about it so much, you know? I just see myself in their stories and their lives,,, in Eva, my struggles with friendship and love, my feelings of inadequacy compared to M who was always always .5% higher than me in everything. always just a bit better.

In Isak, i see my journey with my own sexuality; coming out to my mum and dad, who took a while to truely understand. my mum was raised in a christian “cult” and my dad was adopted by christian parents, and i remember the fear and the pain and the self-hatred

Song of the Day - November 13, 2018

iKon - Goodbye Road

[M] Goodbye Road had to grow on me, there is something awkward about the track that I can’t put my finger on but I have grown to really like it. I won’t say its the best track that they have released this year because some of their other songs (Killin Me) where MUCH MUCH better but I think this song is fitting for the end of this series of albums that they have been working on since New Kids: Begin a year and a half ago. I have to agree B.I’s rap fits with the song a lot better than Bobby’s but I still love the rap, it flows into the song a lot better than it begins. This mini was one that I could listen to over and over again because it was just so chill and relaxing. Now that the New Kids era is over I’m curious to see where iKon goes next.

[S] I don’t know anyone from Ikon by face but the first thing that I must point out is the rapper in the first few seconds of this song doe’s not fit. The first vocals in the song are good but the rapper in the beginning ruined the tone of the song that the first vocalist had set up. So I was definitely worried because I knew there would probably be a second rap part in the song but I am happy to report the second rapper was able to keep the over all tone of the song going and if I could remove that awkward part at the beginning of the song i may actually be able to say I found a Ikon song I could tolerate but that awkward beginning just sticks with me to much.I do like the look of this music video it is pretty simple and I can really appreciate a video like this that mostly focuses on the dancing which I really like.

[C] I’ve never liked anything by iKon so far so lets so now. I really like the vocal parts in this track if they just stayed away from the rap in this track it would be perfect. Like S, I can handle the rap in the middle but the beginning one got me ready for a different feeling song. I like it much better without the rap.
