okay but imagine how much anxiety garrus must have had when he heard that earth was attacked by the reapers. head cannon that he was then on a quest to single handedly take down these giant creatures and go rescue his lady. but of course she shows up on his moon, because she is the baddie that we know and love. honestly i applaud him for keeping it together and not planting one right on shepards mouth in front of everyone and god.

Shepard swiped her sweaty palm against her equally sweaty forehead to push back a damp lock of hair. ‘A little uncomfortable’ her ass. What an understatement.

“Downright relaxing by our standards.”

“Exactly,” she rasped—her throat was killing her, but it wasn’t exactly an opportune moment to grab another hydration pack. “Practically a vacation.”

“Personally, I could do with more palm trees,” Garrus said, and she caught the motion of his head turning to look at her as she checked the pressure reading.
