its taking all of my restraint to not just post the whole fucking conversation but they really are so dear to me. this whole scene is soooooo… like for inigo its everything he definitely needed to hear but never got to and for chrom its just kind of that full circle moment of making peace not only with his son but also his own self as someone who is slowly coming to terms with his weaknesses as a ruler (like his anger and his brashness—which inigo also has!) and how he projected his feelings of inadequacy onto inigo and is slowly making up for that. GOD. chrom inigo father son bonding hours. IM EMO

#ann plays awakening #i think about them so much #this scene is definitely a top five fire emblem convo #but. if u can believe it its only my second favorite future past convo. lmao #BUT i do think its one of the best and it just does so much for both of them i think its really really great #i think inigo in particular has a lot of really good conversations in the future past #some pairings u can tell the writers were grasping at straws but i feel like inigo is pretty consistent across the board #but i think with chrom its just. the way they can tie in the pc support and how that went down and kind of expand on the comparisons between #inigo and lucina is SO good #and theres just no other natural way to do that in the other convos bc why would they bring up lucina when inigo is DYING #even if they make the comparison in the pc support (which not every dad does but most do)#anyways #i think its great and i’ll gush about it forever and ever #the we look alike comment is really funny when inigo is a whole different shade than his dad tho 😭 like no you dont #well thats not true. i still see it. the hair obviously but the nose and mouth are decently similar #i’ll be honest though i do think there are other non canon parent child combos that look MORE similar than these two #(two of which i have. been recently emo about. lol) but i still think drawing attention to that similarity in the game is super fun #i like to think that inigo’s hairstyle was his attempt at replicating chrom’s but since he never really knew chrom #he only had old paintings to go off of most of which had been destroyed or were just too old #so its a LIIIITTLE off #and then by the time hes laslow hes kind of over it and lets it grow out #is laslow’s hair a lot longer than inigo’s or is it just me. i dont know.#im plagued with EMOTION man

Art challenge: color a characters hair without making the parts that should be in shadow / shaded / darker than the rest of the hair a lighter color instead.

Difficulty level: IMPOSSIBLE

#idk. when I started doing this. but once I started I never stopped. I can’t stop #I cannot shade hair normally I CANNOT make the behind the neck under ear area a darker color I CANT #I USED TO BE ABLE TO BUT NOW I CANT #even acknowledging it as a thing I do I still.. can’t #it’s always gotta be lighter #there is always some mysterious bounce light or spotlight shining upwards on the character or thru there hair iDK #there is no physical sense behind it I think I just saw other ppl do it thought it looked pretty and started doing it myself #and. I still think it looks pretty ! but also! I think it’s probably holding me back!#like surely there is a time and a place for this pretty thing and maybe that time isn’t ALWAYS #at myself… ghghg my refusal to think hard about lighting is one of the things I get disappointed about w my art a bit #like… I can sit there like. wow.. almost all my pictures have nebulous unclear lighting. maybe I should work on that #and then I do not ever work on that #I used to do lighting pretty well when I was younger but know a days I typically dont…#le sigh. it’s whatever tho #either I’ll eventually buckle down and get out of my comfort zone and try doing good clear lighting that makes sense #or I won’t! I’m not a professional artist me not being the best lighting doesn’t actually matter lol #pepper words #I mean. I think sometimes I have managed to color hair with the underside shaded recently. but it rlly is not the norm for my art #typically it mostly only happens if the character has a light base hair color. if they have a darker base hair color.#9 times out of 10 that shit is getting under lighting / nebulous highlights from nowhere lol

a sketch i liked of teen yosuke for okwd, pretty quick (like an hour or two total)

this takes place during the ski trip but pre hollow forest dungeon (i have not played to that point dont’ judge me)

because yosuke was a runaway, i’m saying that he ended up in northern canada, alarmingly close to the arctic circle at some point, so my man’s has a freakishly high cold resistance that doesn’t show pre-amatsu but would have an effect in battle

@verysexyseagull i gave him the blue bandanna that akira’s other cat plush mordred has (as this was the origin)

Coco! i actually remember building her really well despite the fact it was over a decade ago. i remember seeing this baskin robbin’s outfit when walking in and knowing the camo bear would look SO good in it (i was right btw brown and green ftw). i was SO torn on the shoes bc i was 8 so OBVIOUSLY i was obsessed with twinkle toes so getting bear sized ones was a must but also they weren’t ✨matchy✨. ultimately i think i made the right choice i think the fact that they clash gives her so much character

#she used to have a green bow but it wasn’t. the same shade of green as literally any part of her #i think i’m gonna get her a white bow tho i think it’ll look cute #at some point i lost her birth certificate i need to go in and get her a new one #i’ll get all the details on a newer one and then go back and make a custom one that looks like the old style #she’s stuffed a lot different than my other bears idk how to explain it #like she doesn’t feel more or less stuffed she just feels squishier? maybe it’s her fur texture #but i love it she’s so good for squeezing AUOGH #sassy speaks #babw #also in my head her and my bearlien Hubble are besties and are super competitive #i think Coco is more into physical sports and Hubble is more into video games #but put these 2 in an arcade and they’ll have a field day
