V sat there fixing Uzi's beanie, sewing the hole shut and any tears on it are getting closed on the way. It's been worn for robo-god knows how long...

And at the farthest of the room sits Six, the Solver drone on the couch who previously looked at her phone like nothing of interest was happening.

She's been staring at V with love and admiration and maybe curiosity, entranced by her apparent expertise in sewing. Where did she get that from? Maybe the manor.

And then the thoughts rise. Wouldn't you love it if she kissed you right now?

Six blushes and squeaks at the thought, trying to shake it off, but all she did was blow the wind to the fire and now the entire forest is doomed to be set aflame.

She kisses you and calls you her devil slice?

"mmm!" The worker's tail began wagging as she held her cheeks in embarrassment. She knows they're together, they've done much more than that but even then V just somehow manages to press every right button to get her to overheat!

And then...

Wouldn't you love it if she pinned you down on the couch?

"eep!" V looks up from the beanie and at Six, with worry. "You okay, devil slice?"

"yEp!" V looks back at her project, though not without skepticism. "Alright..? Just know that i'm here if you need me, okay love?" Oh yes i need you so badly mo– Six nods fast and gives a thumbs up, albeit shaky but it's confirmation nonetheless.

And then the spiral begins... The world fades away into the nothingness as her mind becomes foggy in her lust.

...

"mnn~!" A sound escapes the entrance as it's invaded. "Mmm tiiight...~" It's so big, it's unbelievable that it fits at all.

"aah~! Muh- nn~!"

"Were you gonna call me- mmmph...~ something~?"

The sound of two colliding bodies is loud, how does nobody hear it? Are they really alone?

"ngh~! Faster~?"

"Don't worry, mommy's got you~"

And suddenly, the pace quickens. "maAH~! Ah~!"

She grabs onto a cushion trying to muffle her noise, but a hand pulls her by the hair, arching her back. "meEP~!"

"Be good and lemme hear it~"

"nngaah~! Ahh~! Oh fuck~!"

"Ooh shit- better be ready, cuz i got something comin' for ya~" And suddenly, the pace quickens even more. "AAH~! MOMMYYY~!"

And then, the knot enters. It is released inside.

"OH FUuuck~!"

The dissassembler chuckles in a darkly sweet tone...

"Ready for another? Cause i'm not satisfied just yet~"

"Six? Are you okay..?" Six snaps back into reality, her fantasy paused for the moment. She just stares back at her like she just lifted up the rock she hid in like some sort of bug.

Then she speeds off into the bedroom, a puff of smoke in her place. "... Alright..?" V just continues the project as normal.

Meanwhile...

He could pinpoint the absurdity of every situation with a snappy wisecrack but he had no words for a twist of latest ongoing. Alas, the President was already waiting for him in the corridor with gaze scorching as never. Even with the question mark present, it was hardly a question but rather a demand; Mayuri hated when he engaged in obscurities as trivial as sitting on the grass enjoying sunlight or going to visit another Division in affairs other than undertaking. But then -- isn't the working hypothesis tested and refined through discussion? Ah, well then.

Those demanding crimson sparks in the backdrop as part of the scenery in charcoal irises flashed gone with a camouflage of his typical, puppy-eyed demure, giving space to an expression of surprise and more than minutely long stare pretty much akin to the phase of hypnosis provoked by the surface of smallest things.

The flow of his breath thickly shifts with a sense of edginess. Prying question hanging upon tip of tongue : jeez, how'd ya know? But he would swallow the sentence back along with the lump that suddenly manifested among walls of his throat. Of course, he would know, somehow he always would. In Kisuke's absence, Mayuri was always in charge, he trusted him and Hiyori enough to sometimes stroll out without announcing be within hour of day or night. The last resort obtained via willpower pushed him to speak and not run away from the question as he typically does.

This isn't going to be very nice to Lenore, and in general the "remembering in pieces" mechanic, so just don't click read more if you don't want to see me tear into it thanks.

Like I know we all love to call Annabel a manipulator, and she is, but THIS MOMENT is kind of egregious as fuck to me.

The audacity to call her a monster (AND mad) to her face and then comfort her when she reacts badly over it

Why is she even saying "I don't know what I'd do with myself" if she's not supposed to remember that they were close?

But then why would she be acting like this if she DOES remember that they're close???

The worst thing is that it's so obvious how Lenore cares for the Misfits but when it comes to Annabel it feels cheap? Like it doesn't feel like there's any connection there other than "I remember I'm supposed to love you but do I actually?" rather than there being any genuine emotions involved. (Is that the point???)

WHERE is the delusion? The "Annabel must have surely had a reason—"

WHERE is the trust?

WHERE is the loyalty? <- truly my biggest gripe because Annabel is so fucking devoted I cannot let it go, I can't LMAO

WHERE is her not actually being as mad as she SHOULD be despite all of her misgivings and thus making Duke and Pluto suspicious as all hell?

Lenore has never ONCE given Annabel the benefit of the doubt and I understand that in the beginning when she knew nothing, but now? NOW? After THIS

Clear realization?

At some point I have to think that the flashbacks we're shown are not things they remember in canon unless we're explicitly shown them waking up to it because THIS

does not make sense otherwise.

Lenore WHY are you not losing your mind here? After saying that you're done with Annabel's whole game?

Annabel gave you the same reasoning, Lenore. Why are you tolerating this from him? You were manhandling Annabel and inches away from pulling a gun on her but now Duke has Annabel by the throat and halfway past a balcony railing and you're just TALKING?

Is it because Annabel treats it like a "game"? She's being playfully and giggly rather than being serious and "there's no other way" like Duke, even though she said THIS

That's the worst part, really. Annabel has been VERY transparent the ENTIRE time and yet Lenore gets mad over her doing exactly what she said she'll do.

Conclusion to my rant:

What do they remember, what do they NOT remember? I don't know!

Annabel is devoted to the depths of hell even to her own detriment but is that because she remembers or because she's just Like That™?

Lenore is full of doubts and perpetual suspicions, and is willing to call her a monster to her face, but at the same time she sprouts "I don't know what I'll do without you." and jumps off balconies. Is that because she remembers or because she's just Like That™?

What is going ON

It's been a week, give or take, right? So they remember, what? 5 days worth of memories? Unless they remember much, much more than just a singular happening a night?

It feels inconsistent at best and utterly pointless at worst.

Just show us the flashbacks as an outside thing, it didn't have to be organically connected to their Nevermore storyline,,,,OR have them remember everything only when they first go Specre

So the Shadow story (Project Guardian) iiiisss.... unintentionally on hold because I'm obsessing uncontrollably over Manic these days *WHEEEZE* X'DDDDDDD

I have THOUGHTS and want to continue writing because I do enjoy how relaxed that story is for me. I even have a little note in my inbox about giving Shadow some ice cream that I'm keeping there to add that treat in at some point. But at the moment whenever I try to think about hedgehog related stuff I end up thinking about the Sonic Underground rewrite my friend is doing X'DDD It's an endless spiral of insanity looping off each other atm, we be chasing that dopamine.

When I can wrangle my brain to work on/think about something else I'll get back to Project Guardian. But at the moment I can't even focus on my original stories X'DDD Just Manic and Amy brain

Anywhizzle, here's some fanart of @rufwooff's AU!! I absolutely love how unique their take on the brothers is. And their designs? MMM YES. Donnie's is my favorite. :) But they all are so special and really on par with each character. Plus the fun shapes of their designs made it really fun ( and a little challenging! ) to draw! Also, this is only the second time I've drawn a bigger-built Raph. The first time was with Phoebe's fanart I made a little while ago. I NEVER draw big, muscular characters.. LIKE EVER- But I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. :)
