PERSONALITY

Eliott is, first and foremost, good at finding the good side in almost every situation. His family treating him like a servant? Well, at least he's gaining a lot of skills that may be useful to him in adult life! His step-brother is fighting with him again? Maybe he can use their fights as an inspiration for dialogue in his next fanfic! Hope is the only thing he has, and he holds onto it as tightly as he can.

At home, where making himself be too noticed would probably do him more harm than good, Eliott is quiet and obedient ― he knows when to put his head down and bite his tongue, keeping the complaining to himself, and when to exit the scene. Away from home, though, he transforms completely. He's cheerful and full of energy. Even if he can sometimes be a bit awkward when talking to others, he's still very friendly (sometimes to the point of not knowing when to stop talking) and loves meeting new people. To make up for having to be quiet and calm at home, he often indulges in a bit of harmless chaos. He jokes around a lot, tends to pull little harmless pranks on people, and is not above a little rule breaking if he knows he won't get into too much trouble for it.

Amongst other Royal Sword Academy he has a reputation of being always willing to help others, though Eliott himself is not exactly proud of it ― he's not sure how much of it is the natural goodness of his heart, and how much is just a habit of agreeing to other people's demands without even thinking.

A dreamer at heart; he spends most of his time fantasising about the life he will lead once he moves out of his house or, better yet, completely strange worlds. Often times, he gets lost in his own fantasies, making him seem a little airheaded.

Signature Spell -> A Dream, A Wish ; It allows him to bring to life things he had written about, within certain limitations. For the thing to came out looking good and actually function as intended, he needs to describe it in as much detail as possible, and the bigger, more complicated the thing, the more magic it requires. Most of the things disappear after a some amount of time.

BACKSTORY

A leftover child ― that's what Eliott calls himself, usually when trying to make a joke about his situation. He never knew his mother; she died in childbirth. His father, trying to give his son a good life, remarried quickly, not noticing that his new wife seemed to be more concerned with his money than his son.

After Eliott's father died too while Eliott was still a young boy, his step-mother sold their house and their family moved into a more prestigious part of the town. His step-mother didn't hold too much affection for the son of her late husband, either leaving Eliott to take care of himself, or pushing him around to do whatever needed to be done at the house, and clearly favouring her biological child.

Growing up, Eliott quickly found ways to escape his situation. Sometimes ― quite literary, as he would start to spend more and more time at his friends' houses, his absence often unnoticed by his step-mother. Other times, he would escape into the world of fiction, devouring one tv show after another or, even better yet, discussing his favorite shows with people online.

RELATIONSHIPS

Grace Celestique [OC] ― Eliott's vice-housewarden and his senior, they basically adopted Eliott the moment they saw him. Eliot can see that despite Grace's usual silliness, they can often be pretty mature and he trusts them with helping him run the dorm well. He often comes to Grace for advice, and even without that, the two of them hang out a lot ― they simply compliment each other's chaotic energy quite well. Duncan Lawerence [OC] ― Eliott's freshman year roommate. At first Eliott was afraid that the two of them wouldn't get along, considering how cold and aloof Duncan was acting. Luckily, the two of them quickly bonded over their favorite tv show and now not only is Duncan a part of Eliott's closest friend group, the two of them have also co-authored a few fanfiction together. Allan Embers [OC] ― Eliott's younger step-brother. To say that the two of them never got along would be an understatement. Eliott was always jealous of Allan getting all the attention and support, while Allan, being the spoiled child, would often treat Eliott horribly just for the sake of it. Growing up, the two of them would either constantly fight or ignore each other for days. Now, with Eliott going to RSA and Allan going to NRC, their relationship seems more strained than ever. They simply don't talk to eachother at all, and during every interschool event, Allan seems to be avoiding his brother like the plague. Eliott isn't sure why Allan suddenly stopped picking on him and started to just ignore him the whole time, but he chooses to think of it as a blessing. That way, he can have some peace. Trey Clover ― Growing up in the same neighbourgood, the two of them quickly became friends. Not only did they spend hours playing together, Eliott would spend most of his free time at the Clover's house, adoring the atmosphere there. He very much sees Trey as an older brother figure, and even if they can't spend as much time together now, they still keep in contact and meet up as often, as they can. Che'nya ― The two of them are childhood friends as well, and they grew even closer after they both got into RSA and if Eliott is not spending time with the friends from his dorm, he's usually always with Che'nya. Separately, Eliott is almost a model student, but together with Che'nya, they're the staff's biggest headache, as Che'nya often happily enables Eliott's mischief seeking behaviours. ♡ Riddle Rosehearts ― They're both childhood friends and neighbours, as the new house Eliott's family moved into was next to the Rosehearts' house, with the windows to the boys' bedrooms being opposite eachother. Eliott would often see Riddle through the window and grew curious about the boy, readily taking the first chance to befriend him. Despite how different their temperaments were, they quickly grew close ― when they couldn't see each other anymore, they would exchange letters through their windows. Eliott didn't understand why after some time their friendship suddenly stopped altogether, with Riddle ignoring his letters, but he assumed he must have done something to make the boy upset. He missed his friend, but there was nothing he could've done about it, and with enough of his own problems, he didn't have the time to dwell on it. They only rekindled their friendship after Riddle's overblot; they slowly learn how to be friends again, often meeting up on the weekends or after school, if Riddle has the time.

TRIVIA

he's the housewarden of Cendrea. he took the position at the beginning of his sophomore year, after being chosen by a popular vote by his dorm mates at the end of the previous school year

Eliott is a passionate ― and a quite prolific ― fanfiction writer. he specialises in writing long-winded modern AUs for fantasy shows that may be bittersweet, but still always have a happy ending. he's not particularly shy about this interest of his and will happily show his works to whoever asks about it

his dream career is becoming a children's books author

while he is good at doing all the various house chores, he doesn't especially enjoy them

not only does he feed the mice living in his house, he also gives them names and talks to them as if they are his friends ― he's been doing it since he was a child

he has an old shoebox that he keeps under his desk, full of the rocks he collected on his walks

(Belatedly) celebrating the one-year anniversary of the 'Destiny Bond' comic with a rare, fully-illustrated piece. A bit of extra context and rambly thoughts under the cut 🫶💖💕

A little over a year ago, I posted the first part of the Destiny Bond comic, originally intended to be a one-off doodle exploring the consequences of Morty's prophetic abilities on his relationship with Eusine.

That sketchy doodle of mine ended up being a whole narrative project spanning across a few months, before I eventually took a pause on it to focus on my mental health (having reached a low earlier in the year).

It was a daring enough project in and of itself, especially with how I had spontaneously taken it on when I was still recovering from a years-long burnout with 2D art. Though (temporarily) stopping sooner than I had hoped, I can confidently say that this little comic project of mine had helped to rekindle my love for drawing as a whole, and had further lead me to meeting some of the most wonderful people and friends in this small corner of the Pokémon fandom (whom also happen to be obsessed with these two silly guys from the GSC/HGSS games). It's a project I hold dearly to my heart, and one that I hope to revisit and continue once I feel ready to do so; as the story has yet to truly kick off (I'm not even joking we're still in the prologue technically I'm yelling /lh).

I hope to be able to share the rest of this story with you all one day, in whatever new form it'll take as. For now, I want to say thank you, from the deepest parts of my heart, for supporting this passion project of mine - and to assure you to tune in for the future of this title. 👀✨

Today I just caught up with WuWa's main story, after starting the game for the first time in the last week of v2.3...

but then tomorrow HSR's v3.4 comes out, with the climax (I think?) of the Amphoreus arc and huge plot stuff happening...

...but then the following day WuWa's NEXT main story update releases (jfc the previous one left on such a cliffhanger so I'm glad I only have to wait a couple days for this one T_T)

rolls up to your ask box. hey. i don't know if this happens in the drk au but. how do the dreemur/holiday families react when they figure out dess n kris are still around. would they be angry at dess or glad she's back or some mix of the two. curious about noelle specifically because she wasn't really old enough to understand or remember what happened but she has to deal with the repercussions. also is kris still a puppydog or a deer goat puppydog or what. most important question

oh dess and kris ABSOLUTELY come back lol, there is no universe where they arent major characters. i love them both too much for that. before i even knew what all the dark worlds were gonna be i knew how kris was gonna come back and i knew dess was getting an interlude to explore what shes been up to.

your pretty spot on with a mix of anger and relief!!! dess gets the brunt of it 'cause it was very much Not kris's idea lol (they were. i wanna say 5-7 but i forget how much i widened the age gap between the sibling pairs to make drk work lol. tho tbf its not like we know the real canon age gap so i could be right <3) but everyone IS very mad at dess for essentially kidnapping a kid and just vanishing for like. five years or whatever. the answer the adults had sort of settled on (so, carol tori asriel asgore, plus rudy but hes dead soooo) is that dess had probably just wanted to show kris something cool in the woods, 'cause the two of them liked that, but she never really was the most responsible when it came to watching kids and that + a record snowstorm led the two of them to getting lost and probably freezing to death. (drk au takes place in the us south, so the kids were Not in any way used to snow lol). so like, dess and kris being alive is a lot better than dess getting them both killed, but it also means dess made the CHOICE not to like. call. do anything. kris's involvement makes this a lot worse, basically--its one thing for 18-year-old dess to vanish and start a new life. its another thing when she does that with her six year old kinda-cousin.

noelle has REALLY weird feelings about this whole thing, because noelle doesn't actually remember dess! she repressed that shit SO HARD she formed a system about it, and her headmate is the one who holds all of the dess memories (this is poinsettia. we love settia <3 it'll be a long time 'til it gets that name tho lol). as far as noelle is concerned she's always been an only child and dess hasn't ever existed, which is held up by her family because nobody ever explicitly talks about dess. maybe vague references that noelle can easily tune out. but any pictures of her are hidden away and while some of her things are still around, they dont actually mean anything to noelle. ex. asriel has her old bat but to noelle its just like 'i guess asriel played baseball before i was born????'

so noelle is mostly just Mad when dess comes back. so SHES the reason noelle's been sheltered her entire life? this woman she doesnt even KNOW, who claims to be her older sister, and even if thats true, she still chose the neighbor's kid over noelle???? noelle would like nothing to do with her actually. she and kris have a better but still strained relationship, tho they'll be good friends in the end.

as for kris, kris's species identity is something i put a LOT of thought into lol--in drk they're a monster! in my deltarune 'canon' (think i know im not well, that tends to be my base) kris is a monster as a kid, but finds out they're biologically a human around the same time dess disappears, their parents get divorced, etc etc, and a lot of their coping mechanisms fall into self-destruction and isolation. dess leaving particularly is a HUGE hit bc she's always been the biggest advocate and supporter of their species, and without her kris basically has nobody in their corner (their parents dont really get it, azzy doesnt get it and will insist their human bc he thinks their issues are because nobody ever explained that to them, noelle is Also a kid and literally just lost her sister so shes really in no place to be much help). kris also tends to idealize monsters as best-of-all so in 'canon' they end up not good enough to be a monster, but they know, they KNOW they arent a human, because being a human would kill them. so they find coyote--they really identify with the general narrative around coyotes as unwanted pests who are trapped and killed, as well as their loyalty to their smaller packs and their cleverness, and they've always been pretty caninecoded even as a kid, so thats what they settle into. sidenote that kris is not aware of this lol, kris just Exists, they do not actually think this hard about the Why behind things.

ALL THAT TO SAY in drk this arc goes a lot differently, because they're with dess basically their entire life! so they never have the same break around being biologically human--they probably still LEARN, at some point, but they're like okay thats stupid. im a monster like dess! and dess is like hell yeah you are harbinger, and thats that lol. they present as a monster and specifically would model themself after dess, and are usually read as monster bc especially when with just chara and frisk (very common bc dess is. yknow. not around a lot bc she never wanted this) their silhouette tends to read monster when contrasted. kris says :3 about this. and of course they still have their caninecoded traits, those dont GO anywhere, they just narrative...ize? them different. these are worked into being a monster rather than being a coyote, if that makes sense lol.

MCD Tarot deck 0-VII

Here are the first seven cards of my MDC Tarot deck, a project a year in the making!! For times sake and my own sanity, I'll only be doing the major arcana, but expect the next seven (hopefully) soon :)

Introductions + explanations under the cut! and disclaimer: I know VERY LITTLE about tarot, so please take all this with a grain of salt!

Aphmau, the Fool - Among other things, The Fool is representative of new beginnings, opportunity and potential, things Aphmau's character (specifically in MCD) encapsulated. Her newness to the world is a huge part of her character in the beginning of the series, and towards the end as the lore fleshes out it gets reflected in her dynamic with Irene, and being Irene's reincarnation. She is the culmination of the fresh start Irene wanted, and was filled with the potential to be everything she could never be.

Zoey, the Magician - Among other things, The Magician is representative of manifestation, resourcefulness, power, and inspired action. This was somewhat of a hard call on my end, but I think her dedicating the 15 year timeskip to research on how to free Aphmau and co. from the Irene Dimension, and ultimately succeeding even though it would cost her her immortality, aligns with this best. She worked hard and used all her power to change fate, to return her loved ones to their rightful home, which is pretty inspirational if you ask me.

Lucinda, the High Priestess - My note for this one is "I don’t know how to explain how this makes sense to me it just suits her" so there's no real reason for this decision lol. Among other things, The High Priestess is representative of intuition, sacred knowledge, divine feminine, and the subconscious mind. You could argue that MYST Lucinda inhabits some of these, being very comfortable in her femininity and having a strong sense of intuition as well as knowledge most of the cast isn't privy to, however we all know that MYST =/= MCD so do with this information what you will.

Zianna, the Empress - Among other things, The Empress is representative of nature, nurturing, and abundance. This is based somewhat on headcanons, but Zianna is heavily associated with being a kind, doting mother. She loves and nurtures her children, and in MYST we see this kindness applies to others' children as well as her own. Additionally, The Empress when reversed encourages one to make self-love and self-care a priority, something this ever-doting woman desperately needs after devoting all her time and energy to other people's needs for the past several DECADES.

Garte, the Emperor - Among other things, The Emperor is representative of authority and establishment, and when reversed is representative of domination and excessive control. This is based somewhat on headcanons, but Garte more so resembles The Emperor reversed, being a cold and controlling tyrant, both as the leader of a nation and as a father figure. He is a man of strict rules and regulations and tends to abuse the power he holds over people.

Zane, the Hierophant - Among other things, The Hierophant is representative of spiritual wisdom, religious beliefs, conformity, tradition, institutions. Zane canonically is the high priest of a very large and traditional religion, this aspect of The Hierophant is self explanatory. He is literally the head of an institutionalized religion of which he is very knowledgeable about. When reversed, The Hierophant is representative of personal beliefs and freedom. This is based somewhat on headcanons, but I believe Zane's hunt for Irene's Relic/the Divine Relics is a personal goal, and ties into breaking free from the controlling nature of his father, his nation, and his religion: who would dare control you when you become their god?

Donna and Logan, the Lovers - Among other things, The Lovers card is representative of love, harmony, relationships, values alignment and choices. I feel like this one if the most self explanatory, as their entire arc together is about over coming differences, and choosing to love each other in spite of those differences. Y'all remember how freaked out Logan was when he got turned? Specifically about Donna's reaction? And how she chose to love him anyways because this plot point happened before Jess added her werewolf kink to the canon lore? They constantly choose to be happy and they choose to be together, who else could I have picked for this card?

i don't need to redesign black manta for my universe because the peak black manta design already exists. young justice black manta pictured above. i will just be touching up his story to make his autism um. not be stupid. it will have narrative importance without being like that. (local man hates the feeling of bedsheets so much that scientists experimented on him and he became more evil. later they injected his brain with more autism so it cancelled out and he's not autistic anymore. you're kidding me????)

I am nearly done with all of my Pokeani charm designs for my shop drop later this year...after that I'll probably start working on One Piece charms!! Except they have way too many outfits to choose from! Help!!!

I'm probably going to make a poll to vote for your favorite post timeskip outfit for each Strawhat? (And also Law probably bc he goes through a few wardrobe changes as well) And whichever one gets the most votes for each will be the outfit I draw them in for the initial charms 🤔 Pairing them together by arc probably makes more sense but there's some outfits I like more than others lol so. Idk. I'll let you guys choose ;)
