Perhaps, that was what he was hoping for Vergil to realize from the start. So long as he'd been looked upon with disdain—treated as nothing less than the shameful reminder of the life he could've lived were it not for cowardice—then neither of them would truly know peace.

And yet, he would still remain. A constant. An untarnished piece of his shattered soul. A mirror image who always looked onto him with the love he so long denied himself, with tender eyes that’ve waited so patiently to be seen.

But the beast was different in the way it had stared up at Nero with more than just that fear of death, but a waver in its irises, withholding fresh tears that threatened to dampen its feathers. It looked up at him as if to grieve the life it had lived, about to lose; as if pleading for forgiveness from itself for having failed to see another tomorrow. Nero felt his throat tighten as he was met with a sorrow that was as thorough, as genuine enough to feel human.

And all at once, his discomfort made sense.

For each time he had looked upon the demon's face, he could only see a man's eyes staring back—dulled by the thrust of a sword through his chest, the white of his uniform awash with red.

Following the aftermath of the Qlipoth disaster, Nero encounters a ghost from his past (and they're a lot more feathery than he remembers).

A silly piece to answer the question of; what if Credo survived—but reincarnated as a bird? 🦅✨

It was an honor to be able to contribute a written piece for the DMC Countdown event! I haven't written a full fic like this in years (for many reasons - though among them being an overall loss of motivation), and being able to put in the time and effort for this has honestly really helped to rekindle my passion for writing as a whole. 🫶💖

(Belatedly) celebrating the one-year anniversary of the 'Destiny Bond' comic with a rare, fully-illustrated piece. A bit of extra context and rambly thoughts under the cut 🫶💖💕

A little over a year ago, I posted the first part of the Destiny Bond comic, originally intended to be a one-off doodle exploring the consequences of Morty's prophetic abilities on his relationship with Eusine.

That sketchy doodle of mine ended up being a whole narrative project spanning across a few months, before I eventually took a pause on it to focus on my mental health (having reached a low earlier in the year).

It was a daring enough project in and of itself, especially with how I had spontaneously taken it on when I was still recovering from a years-long burnout with 2D art. Though (temporarily) stopping sooner than I had hoped, I can confidently say that this little comic project of mine had helped to rekindle my love for drawing as a whole, and had further lead me to meeting some of the most wonderful people and friends in this small corner of the Pokémon fandom (whom also happen to be obsessed with these two silly guys from the GSC/HGSS games). It's a project I hold dearly to my heart, and one that I hope to revisit and continue once I feel ready to do so; as the story has yet to truly kick off (I'm not even joking we're still in the prologue technically I'm yelling /lh).

I hope to be able to share the rest of this story with you all one day, in whatever new form it'll take as. For now, I want to say thank you, from the deepest parts of my heart, for supporting this passion project of mine - and to assure you to tune in for the future of this title. 👀✨
