something I enjoy about Happily Ever After that I haven't seen anyone mention is that Shifty allows you and the princess enough time after leaving the cabin to dance under the stars just like she had wanted

she'd shown in other routes that she can take the princess just about whenever she wants, but she waits until your dance is over. it's such a small moment of profound kindness

I think the thing about the existence of the wilderness (in the supernatural sense) is that there was some sort of supernatural element out there with them. I say this because there are inexplicable elements to the show (no eyed man, Jackie's dying hallucination, Van's seeing things as she was dying). But that thing did not make them do the things they did.

Let's think about it here. When Lottie was speaking French, she said "it wants blood". Someone translated it fully (I don't remember who so if someone wants to tag them), the French translated to something like "I gave it offerings, but it wants blood. Yet blood doesn't mean death. You can get a papercut and bleed.

Which brings me to my point. The wilderness gives them something when there's blood. Not when there's death. When they were on their periods, they were eating better. When the plane crashed, van survived because of the blood spilled. During the seance, the spirit left Lottie when she was bleeding. When Shauna got a nosebleed on the symbol, the birds fell from the sky. At doomcoming, slitting Travis's throat brought the bear. When Laura Lee flew the plane, it saved Van. As Shauna was giving birth, Travis cutting his palm saved Shauna's life.

They have to spill blood to get what they want. They don't have to kill.

That's the whole point. There is something out there with them, but the girls are also crazy. It was just them. Them who decided to kill.

God I have so many thoughts about Pangkey and how their approach this relationship.

Pangi doesn’t see love and care as a secret but sees it as truth. He doesn’t flinch when it comes to declarations, because to him, caring is as natural as breathing. And if he knows anything, it’s how to speak the truth. He doesn’t sugarcoat care, he displays it, clear and full. The first time he said “I love you” to Lukey, it wasn’t whispered or romantic—it was yelled, frustration because Lukey wasn’t being careful. When he can’t say it outright, he says it with his presence, his protection, his quiet assurance . There’s no game with Pangi — what he feels, he names. But today he couldn't, because it felt too real. Because honesty is easy when it’s instinct, but terrifying when it’s hope.

Lukey, though—Lukey talks circles around truth. He cloaks his affection in metaphor, dresses it up in poetry, lets it slip in pretty sentences bundled with a bow. He could write volumes about how much he cares, and still never say it plainly. He told Newt everything—every soft, profound, terrified thing he feels for Pangi. And still, he swore he’d never say it to Pangi himself. Because saying it makes it real, makes it vulnerable. Lukey just got his memories back. He finally has something to lose. And he’d rather bury his heart under wit and riddles than risk having it broken.

And yet, despite their differences, Pangi and Lukey know. One declares, the other deflects, and they always meet in the middle. So when they're together against a foe, there's this instinctual rhythm between them, like an old married couple who’ve done this dance a thousand times. Comfortable in the steps, steady in the silence. And yet when just with each other there’s still the spark of something new, the vulnerability of a first touch, a first risk, a first confession. Their love is fragile because they're afraid of the loss it may bear — but also it’s fierce, it's instinctive, and it's assured trust. The kind of love that says: you are the danger I will choose willingly but I'm afraid you might not choose me .

I need to drag my cute mutt to the store with me. We'd look at doormats together and with every one we pull off the shelf, I'd lean in to their ear to ask what torture it would be to kneel on. How their weight would push uncomfortable plastic and fiber into their knees. How much worse it will be when I shove my boot into their leg to add my own weight to it.

Thinking thoughts about the fact that soooo many really super important Buckley-Diaz family conversations happen whilst two of them are sitting on a bed and they're all connected to parental roles in some way!

Chris gets questiony about Eddie going out (he's cottoned on to the fact Eddie is dating - which naturally is a big thing for him as it brings the potential of a new parental figure - and the 'replacement' of his mom);

Then we get the shooting conversation (which is obviously about the fact his remaining parent is in grave danger, but also served to really push Buck into a parental role);

Followed by this new one (which is all about Shannon and her role in Christophers life going forward - that Christopher is scared about forgettinng her, but also beginning to show his fears around people leaving him. It also again plays into Bucks role as a co-parent - its a really lovely progression from the shooting conversation);

But we also should include the will conversation in the list - it might not have taken place in Christophers room, but the mirroring of so many aspects such as colours and camera angles and lighting etcand the fact it reveals the legal standing of Buck within the family dynamic thats already been developing.

I'm a bit in my feels about it today especially because Bucks outfit in the 7x01 scene is, in colour terms an exact match for the hospital will reveal (yellow, navy and white trainers) - and Eddie hiding in the corridor is also more or less an exact colour match as well (navy/black and khaki green)- which is telling us to link the scenes together !!!!

Sunrise on the Reaping spoilers

One thing I adored so much in this book was the hints at how important creative freedom and allowing people to express their interests is.

This book highlights the dangers of propaganda and shows how far the Capitol is willing to go. How far Snow will go to not lose control. He has the Games, and to be honest everything else, edited in such a way it prevents, or reduces the flow of ideas and new ways of thinking. It's a very specific image he creates and with it, it allows him to keep his control.

But Haymitch, Lucy and Katniss, music plays an important part in their stories. They use it their advantage. It allows them to connect to others, to open up and explore new ideas and new ways of thinking, it shows them part of themselves they may not have known existed. Snow sees this as a weakness but it's truly a strength. Music in the series brings people together in multiple ways. In celebration, in mourning, in anger, in intimate moments between lovers. It ultimately brings an end to Snow's dictatorship, his control and the Games.

The series, and especially SOTR, shows us that with creative freedoms to express ourselves we can be the best versions of ourselves we can learn more about the world and the people around us.

And that together, we can make the world a better place and especially now, that is so very important.

Sastiels dynamic is, "We're not in love." as they never let go of each other as they go darkside or whatever, constantly need to be in close proximity. Can't live a day of peace knowing the other one is struggling. They need to see each other and know they're okay at all times but they're them so they're never okay. And like sure maybe they're not in love like normal people. But they're also just not normal, have you seen them?
