I bet the Rosharan version of The Floor is Lava is Shattered Plains themed. Besides kids jumping between tables and sofas because the floor is a giant chasm, a key part of the game is that at least one kid is always on the ground pretending to be a chasmfiend, so the rest of the payers have to jump between plains (furniture) while avoiding the creature. Every few minutes the chasmfiend is allowed to climb up to the plain (furniture) of their choice and players can battle it using wooden shardblades

In terms of what is likely given Nintendo's track record w/ Splatoon:

❌️ Great Turf War Prequel, old man yaoi, squids in imperial Japan, actually elaborating on the Octarians more

✅️ 80s fashion revival, or perhaps something a lil more Y2k, squid kids gentrifying historic cities after Grand Fest like w/ Splatsville after Chaos v Order, everything being mostly the same as the previous games just w/ more retro clothes and music

(and im still down for it honestly but like, temper your expectations, be realistic)

jwct s3 spoilers sorta idk I’ll cut it anyway

Ykw I wont even be mad if The Handler has no brief mentions at all or no addition to her backstory in s4, because that means I can continue to use my silly brain and interpret whatever the hell I want for her. Even with the info we get from s4, I can still use that to make connections to her character with or without her presence. Hell I made hella essays and expansions abt her during s2 and she only showed up ONCE then was never to be seen again.

And now that the Camp Fam (well, Darius, Brook, Yaz and Ben anyway) will be investigating the whole dino training stuff, I knowwww the connections I’ll be making will be so goodddddd with or without The Handler. She’s a mystery and she’ll forever be one, thats the whole point of her character. Mysterious and unpredictable like the dinosaurs, but at least we have free reign to interpret her however the hell we want in regards to her backstory. The AU ideas and fics will be endless.
