If you do go to Stockholm, you must check out the Vasa Museum. It is amazing. Basically, this ship sank 20 minutes after launch in the 1600s and then in the 1970s they pulled it out and that's the whole museum. And this ship was FANCY! Like painted wooden sculptures all over it (left is the real ship, right is a model with the original colour)

(middle some Roman style carvings, bottom left is a repainted relief based on colour analysis, bottom right are the materials and colours used to paint the ship)

They also had some sailors trunks that were sealed for all those years and opened in the modern day. They contained, among other things, board games (left) and this very warm looking pair of mitten (right)

This ship was an absolute disaster, but if it hadn't sunk when and where it did, we wouldn't have this amazing example of a historical wooden ship today.

I really miss Galadriel’s armour from season one. I still head canon that Halbrand made it for her, and I know it would have taken longer to make and they left Númenor so quickly but he’s a demigod who’s main hobby is blacksmithing (the math adds up if you squint really hard) and this might be a crack pot theory but I like to believe he did something to her armour because when orodruin erupted she barely had a scratch on her. And knowing now who he is I don’t think she can bring herself to wear it again which is sad because she looked amazing.

My favorite detail about this ep was the way everyone was like "what a weird day" or "this is so weird" about what is supposed to be a *normal* adventure, literally supposed to represent a normal day as a normal worker in a normal world. But they're so used to the craziness and to the uncanny of the circus that a normal day just became "weird" to them

I think DC fic writers should steal the fanon "clones get their names by challenging someone with a cool name to a duel" trope and have that be how the Robin mantle is passed on. And then not just the Robin mantle, but Nightwing, Red Hood, all of them -- if you can challenge them and beat them, you have a right to the name.

Maybe you let them keep operating in that role, but that name is yours if you want it.

I do age this month and I just keep getting sad because last birthday I held my friends captive and made them all watch star trek with me (themed dress up party + a playlist of episodes I curated and me shouting, "wait watch this, this is iconic" every 2 minutes) and nothing will ever top that.
