How often do your teams make decisions based on outdated data?
In todayâs business climate, relying on end-of-day reports can mean missed opportunities. Real-time performance monitoring bridges the gap between insight and action, giving companies a live, holistic view of their most critical metrics.
By integrating data across systems like ERP, CRM, and marketing platforms, real-time monitoring creates a single source of truth for business performance. Teams can track KPIs like delivery speed, website conversions, or server uptime, and react the moment performance slips. Itâs not just about seeing whatâs wrong. Itâs about acting before it becomes a problem.
Hereâs what it takes to get started: Â â
identify the right KPIs to monitor in real time  đ ensure systems are integrated for seamless data flow  đ build intuitive dashboards tailored to team roles  đ set smart alerts based on performance thresholds
Mayerfeld Consulting supports organizations through this entire process, from strategic planning and platform selection to implementation and adoption. We believe that the right data, delivered at the right time, fuels better decisions at every level of your business.
If your company is still relying on yesterdayâs insights, itâs time for a change.
Reach out to Mayerfeld Consulting to learn how real-time performance monitoring can drive agility, reduce risk, and unlock new levels of efficiency.

The puppies have worms đŠ Both have hookworm and Mila also has coccidia overload. Theyâre on medication and are good now, but poor Maggie was so sick. She went to sleep fine one night and woke up a mess - just out of nowhere. We had to call the emergency vet, do a video consult, perform all the checks, take her in the morning for a diagnostic panel⌠The whole time, we were expecting the worst. Because thatâs how it happened with Marko. He was completely fine until he woke up one night and wasnât - three days later, he was gone. Iâm so grateful the girls ended up having something simple and treatable, but I think Iâm always just going to expect the worst now and I hate that. Loving these little beasts is so rewarding but itâs also absolutely fucking terrifying.
#dogs#also wish our town had a 24 hr vet service#we used to but they stopped during covid#the video consults are expensive and not very helpful#anyway#thatâs my rant

by Bassam Tawil
Hamas and Egypt were quick to issue statements denouncing the capture of the Rafah border crossing, claiming that the move would "threaten" the lives of the Palestinians and hinder the entry of humanitarian and relief aid into the Gaza Strip.
The Egyptians and Hamas have good reason to be angry with the presence of the IDF at the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing. For several years, Palestinians who wanted to exit the Gaza Strip via the terminal have alleged that they had to bribe Hamas and officials. Hamas and Egypt are now afraid of losing the Palestinian milk-cow.
"It is our right to travel without bribes and without corruption. We are living under a [Hamas] dictatorship." Abu Amr was later arrested by Hamas security officers, who confiscated her mobile phone and ordered her to delete the Facebook post. â Noha Abu Amr, Palestinian journalist, 24.ae, January 24, 2024
[A] Palestinian man in the US [said] he paid $9,000 to get his wife and children on the list. On the day of travel, he was told his children's names were not listed and he would have to pay an extra $3,000. He said the brokers were "trying to trade in the blood of Gazans".
[T]he company [Hala Consulting and Tourism Services] owned by an influential Egyptian businessman and ally of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi] is estimated to have made a minimum of $118 million from desperate Palestinians trying to leave the Gaza Strip. "By the end of this year, if the April average continues, the company may earn well over half a billion dollars from the so-called VIP list of people Hala is transferring across the Gaza-Egypt border. " â Middle East Eye, May 1, 2024.
An international charity [that does not want to be named] with extensive experience in providing emergency aid in wars...is also being forced to pay $5,000 per truck to a company linked to Egypt's General Intelligence Service (GIS) to get aid into the Gaza Strip. â Middle East Eye, January 30, 2024.
The Palestinians actually owe Israel a huge debt of gratitude for finally driving Hamas out of the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing.
Egypt and Hamas are, it seems, indifferent to the pain endured by the Palestinians they are effectively imprisoning. All that matters to them is making more money off anyone desperate to leave the Gaza Strip.

Hi Mrs. Beeton - you seem to be an expert re: history of domestic service. Do you by chance have any book recs? I'm predictably interested in early 20th c. high-income households and their senior staff (y'know - #JustRebeccaThings) but pretty much any topic, or overview, would be more than welcome
Hi there! Definitely not an expert by any means (itâs the field Iâm currently working in but is not what my degree is in at all), but I do have decent research skills and lots of experience in this one specific topic!
I always recommend that for a primary source, you consult Mrs. Beeton herselfâmy ask button is a reference to Mrs. Beetonâs Book of Household Management, first compiled/edited by Mrs. Isabella Beeton in 1861 and continually updated/re-published as recently as 2010. By the early 20th century it was a household standard, and I have zero doubt that Mrs. Danvers would have referenced it regularly(or even have committed several chapters to memory).
Hereâs some information ABOUT the book/its legacy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mrs._Beeton%27s_Book_of_Household_Management
And here is a link to one archive edition of it (there are many available for free online, and as there are near infinite editions you can find printed copies very affordably secondhand): https://archive.org/details/b20392758
One of the great things for research about the late 19th/early 20th centuries is the rapid evolution of the printing and publishing industries in that time, as well as the VAST amount of material written for and by women specifically about housekeeping, entertaining, homemaking, etc.
There are just countless extant examples of womenâs magazines, ladyâs journals, etiquette books, home guides, etc etc out there! Brittanica gives a good overview of some of the more successful ones: https://www.britannica.com/topic/publishing/Womens-magazines
In terms of contemporary resources, I think this might be right along the lines of what youâre looking for:

I also recommend you check out the British reality/history series The Edwardian Country House! Itâs not currently streaming anywhere that I know of (available for digital purchase on Amazon and AppleTV it looks like), but the majority of it is available on YouTube (in varying different uploads and playlists and resolutions lol). Hereâs one video compiling a couple episodes, the sound quality gets better after the intro: https://youtu.be/ILfXMhFNE7c?si=vygvafS_ESpwfz4d
youtube
And then here are some other books Iâve used in my work, though your mileage may vary for your own purposes (the time periods vary and these are US centered).

This is mainly a to-do list for myself, but there are two important UK government consultations which close on Monday 30th June at 11:59pm.
Both can be responded to using an online form or by email.
Disability benefits consultation
Where to respond: Pathways to Work: Reforming Benefits and Support to Get Britain Working
The charity Scope have a decent summary and their own campaign work against the cuts (for other ways to get involved).
Also to note: the Access to Work scheme is being cut back alongside the benefits mentioned in this consultation, which makes the narrative of getting people into work even more ironic.
EHRC response consultation (trans rights)
TransActual have put together a comprehensive guide on where and how to respond and other important info.
Important note about both consultations:
While the relevant charities have put out guides on how to respond, but it's really important that written comments are in your own words wherever possible - if multiple people copy and paste the same answer, the people reviewing can choose to treat it as one single response.
(Similar goes for writing to MPs - my local MP states they no longer reply to template emails from campaigns, only direct individual correspondence).
By all means use guides for inspiration but include your own examples and put it in your own words wherever possible.
And it's still worth taking part even if you can only fill out the tick-box answers.
#for reference#ukpol#disability#lgbtqia#I'll be reblogging other posts about these consultations too#because others have put together much more informative posts#apparently you can respond to consultations by post as well but I think the deadline is the same#so don't risk it with the post service at this stage if you can avoid it
