The whole idea of celebrities having “platforms” that they’re obligated to use in one way or another is absolute bullshit, and only leads to ridiculous half-assed virtue signalling like the “Imagine” video and the “I Take Responsibility” shit that just dropped, like, 10 hot minutes ago.

IT MAKES ME SICK.

Colin’s tweeted, liked and retweeted enough shit to show he’s aware of the situation and supports the movement. And he didn’t HAVE to. Nobody fucking HAS to. The moment you start saying people HAVE to is the moment people phone shit in literally because they feel like they have to. and the voices of the people who really, deeply, truly fucking care get drowned out in a sea of magical #BlackLivesMatter and #ITakeResponsibility hashtags from people who, quite frankly, don’t give a flying fuck and will go right back to not giving a damn as soon as they click “POST” and earn their “woke” points for the day.

AND ASKS LIKE THIS ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

If you’re disappointed in Colin’s level of involvement with this or any other cause, don’t try to cajole or bully him into being more active. No. Instead, fucking deal with it and worry about what YOU’RE doing, instead.  ACCEPT that he is as active as HE wants to be, both privately and publicly, and that he SHARES as much of that activity as he feels comfortable sharing. Some people are chock full of posts and hashtags and all the right words, but don’t do a goddamn thing that makes a bit of fucking difference. While others keep their thoughts and their words to themselves, but donate their time, money, emotion, and energy in ways that actually DO make a difference.

AND YOU CAN’T KNOW WHICH IS WHICH. AND YOU DON’T KNOW WHICH IS WHICH.

You can’t tell by how many posts they make. You can’t tell by which hashtags they use. You can’t tell by how big their black square is or what they’ve changed their icon to or how many exclamation points they use. You can’t fucking tell unless THEY TELL YOU, and anyone who knows anything about Colin knows damn well that he is generous with his money, time and emotional investment when it comes to things he cares deeply about - and that he doesn’t toot his own fucking horn about it, either. If you’re expecting him to shout from the rooftops and virtue signal all day long, you’re barking up the wrong fucking tree and looking for disappointment. He donates to what he cares about, and doesn’t tell a soul about it. And frankly, Nonny?

It’s none of our fucking business, anyway.
