not enough discussion about the gavins' complicated relationship with feminine-coded/beauty products, i don't think.
#for klavier because it's not as direct it's about how we never see him actually wearing lipstick? even though apollo literally attends#a concert of his which is where you'd most expect him to wear makeup. but apparently he just doesnt. or at least not in public#klavier gavin#kristoph gavin#i feel like there are several ways you can read into it. the misogyny/toxic masculinity one is really obvious clearly with kristoph's#singling out of men specifically and klavier's (probably accidental?) condescending manner of calling women 'fraulein' plus his general#mildly patronising attitude towards many of the women in the game (also probably unintentional)#(i think he's trying to be charming and it's coming off wrong to some of them. like ema. and me.)#but i feel like there's also maybe an element of... inherent perfecfionism to it? like both of these products are conventionally beautifyin#products and kristoph while he is open to showing people he uses nail polish specifically chooses one that's clear and missable unless you#see him apply it. he also feels the need to justify his use of it and specifically spell it out as something he chooses to do rather than#needs to do even though duh. that should be obvious.#idk there's just something about his seeming need to take control of that narrative that i find interesting. his need to spin it into a#'there's nothing wrong with my nails but I had the foresight to see that even the smallest parts of my appearance should be kept immaculate#and it's a choice i'm making to refine an already adequate part of my personage /not/ to cover some unsightly defect.' the need to emphasis#that specifically is so. hm. and with klavier i could see it being a case of him liking makeup liking the pops of colour yet being unwillin#to admit to it because he's afraid that other people might see it as him being dissatisfied with his own appearance regardless of if he is#or isn't. or even just perceiving colourful makeup as being unseemly because it's so overt and unnatural.#like i can see this as them both viewing 'real' beauty to be that which is inherent to a person and seemingly effortless#thus somehow negating the beauty which one achieves through cosmetics or other external means.#and if you want to use external means to achieve beauty or neatness or whatever then your only valid options are those which blend into you#natural state. like clear nail polish. or really awful spray tan.#i feel like klavier's less confined by these ideas (if they hold merit at all) considering he actually owns coloured lipstick and he wears#jewellery (admittedly quite 'masculine' jewellery no gems or pearls or anything like that but jewellery nonetheless) but i think it just#makes it more interesting that he doesnt seem quite able to cross the line anyway. like it's that ingrained into his system.#anyway that's all i've got. you guys should tell me what you think too#annotations

One of these days I'm going to write a detective story where The Watson is a plural system so The Sherlock can go on long "As You Know" monologues explaining things they would've already known except, no, they didn't know, they forgor
Actually fuck it they're both plural, why not. Meanwhile Sherlock-System is full of gremlins who all have hyper specific super niche Special Interests which always wind up being exactly the thing they needed to solve the case.
And it's actually not much of a perk that they share memories because their brain is just Full of Bees and they are hopelessly inadequate at functioning in a neurotypical society.
Meanwhile Watson-System is very well ordered and structured and is the only reason things actually Get Done and has at least one member who gives zero fucks about their crime solving exploits and does not care to know and is just like when did you last eat a vegetable Sherlock, hydrate or diedrate Sherlock, if this cold case has gone 35 years without being solved I think it can go 35 years and 10 minutes without being solved and you deserve to take a break and maybe shower or something, Sherlock.

hater alert! far too many people say that juri’s character arc ‘isn’t about her being sad about being gay, it’s about being sad about unrequited love that happens to be gay’ and. well. that is not true and by saying that you are completely flattening the brilliance of juri’s character arc which literally culminates in her being able to accept her own lesbianism despite her unrequited love, despite all her shame and self-loathing, despite this pursuit by Some Fucking Guy to try and ‘save’ her from these feelings. like if you think juri’s entire character is just ‘sad about shiori’ how do you appreciate even a modicum of the emotion packed into that final juri duel. it is both about shiori and, even broader, her lesbian identity and what that means to her intrinsically as a person, removed from romantic relationships and just purely as like. you know. Who She Is. the idea that even when juri’s locket is cut from her neck she is still a lesbian that’s still who she is and she cant change that and, crucially, she doesn’t want to even as she is agonised by these feelings. that’s why she forfeits the duel!!!! she’s clocking out she’s quitting she’s saying no!!!!!! this is me and ive got to be ok with that this is me and i can accept that this girl might not love me and i can keep living despite that. like. god im so normal arisugawa juri im so sorry that no one understands you and your intrinsically unapologetically lesbian storyline like i do

Concept: in her obsessive need to control Anne and Marcy, Sasha tries to cause tension between them because they're getting a little too close and they might be oblivious but she sees the way in which they look at each other and - oh, oh no, no no no no no she's not having that. There's a reason they called their garage band "Sasha and the Sharps" and it's because it's always been her and her two girls, not her two girls... weirdly crushing on each other and leaving her behind.
Thankfully, she knows the inner workings of their psyches like the back of her hand. She knows all about their strengths, weaknesses and insecurities. She just needs to compliment Marcy's intelligence a little too much in front of Anne while rubbing on Marcy's face that she'd probably be alone and unable to handle herself in public without Anne bringing her down to reality. Stirring Anne's jealousy and Marcy's insecurity is surprisingly easy, especially when it starts to reflect in the way in which they treat each other.

why is not voting preferable to voting for biden? (genuine question)
Because supporting biden means that there is literally no line that the democrats can cross that would lose your support. Even meeting biden supporters within their framework of "this system sucks but it can't be helped right now so we need to do damage control and support the lesser evil", not voting democrat in this election would still be the 'pragmatic' choice. There are going to be republican presidents off and on until the American empire collapses, so if it is your belief that the democrats can truly be pulled left, the way to do so would be to show them that they will lose if they do bad things, even if it means life would get worse for usamericans.
#i also feel this strongly about the imperial core settler colonial state I live in by the way.#I don't care that my life will be made worse under a conservative government nothing is getting me to vote for Trudeau#this is also giving way more validity to the idea that the liberal democratic system has any functionality at all#but I am not a great writer so I'm doing my best to answer the question in a way that i guess is simple to understand

also i think people's opinions on what they're comfortable being called or would prefer being called can differ from what they find as acceptable as an umbrella term to describe the experience itself, so saying "would you be comfortable if someone called you specifically a certain label" is MUCH different than "would you be comfortable if someone labeled the experience that you also have as a certain label"
for some, the answers would be the same. for others, they might understand why the umbrella term(s) might differ from their comfort term(s)
#altho again: i really don't care either way personally.#they're all synonyms with slightly different connotations and implications depending on who's using them#also what you consider 'valid' will definitely skew how you feel about umbrella terms and such#if you think endogenic plural systems aren't really multiple/plural/systems/whatever? then you might not want to use the same terms they do#or might prefer umbrella terms that you see as excluding them#if a person uses plural to try and force personhood onto parts that aren't people? that's fucked up#if a person uses system to try and enforce a 'different disordered parts' idea onto headmates that are unique people? that's also fucked up#...idk where i'm going with this. i'm just experiencing feelings.#to me system has a slightly more medical and psychological tone to it#whereas plural is slightly more metaphysical and spiritual#but they both encompass roughly the same idea of more than one 'self' in some form#it's like arguing over whether “beautiful” or “gorgeous” is better. they're synonyms!!#some people might not like one or the other but they're basically the same thing they're practically the same word#why do we caaaaare#why are we lowkey going back to cdd = system and endogenic = plural againnnnn

#i remember learning about this from my MOMS psych textbooks back in like#2015#okay#systems have SO MANY formations#not all of them are going to present as a dude who has no idea whats going on#because in those systems theres a separation between the “host” alter#and the Original Alter#theres a severe divide in those cases which is why its so noticeable that theres a personality split and why its the only form of plurality#people think is valid#others are different lmfao#im not Going to get into the medical history of the epilepsy and trauma and whatnot#but plurality is COMMON#honestly and truthfully#back when i first was getting diagnosed for this#BECAUSE YES I'VE SEEN TWO PSYCHS ABOUT THIS AND HAVE HAD IT AFFIRMED IN SPITE OF MY LACK OF#“TRADITIONAL DID PRESENTATION”#anywah back when i was seeing shrinks for it because i was heavily fragmented at the time i knew of two other people#in my social circle#who were also systems#one had been in the process of gettin diagnosed on and off for about seven years#another was my age at the time (19) and starting the process like i was with a shrink who was#AFFIRMING US#BECAUSE WE DONT WANT TO HAVE THIS SHIT#AND WE WERE LOOKING FOR OTHER SOLUTIONS
