I've officially given up on sorting these out properly. So unless I state otherwise - have fun with these lucky dips from now on.

1) negotiation breakdown by setosdarkness. Atsushi describes this as, '1600 words, enemies to lovers fast burn.' and I couldn't agree more

2) Dazai's Sick Day by RayvnAshes (IronScript). As the title suggests, Dazai gets sick and Kyouka calls on Chuuya to help.

3) No such thing as separation by Izu (soaringivy). A skk relationship reveal where they're disgustingly in love and decide it's everyone's problem.

4) Not Safe For Work by Insomnia_Productions. Dazai introduces Chuuya to his family at the ADA.

5) Three-Coloured kiss by Seedus. Five times Dazai tries to kiss Chuuya under the mistletoe and the one time he finally succeeds. I know Christmas was awhile ago but it's never too late! (That's what I think at least)

Hi! So, I might not be the best person to ask this to, only because...well...I don't read a lot of skk fics...

I KNOW, I know. I'm obsessed with those two but most of the content I consume of them comes from fan arts now. That being said, I have read a handful of fics but they're one of the most popular ones out there like:

- I probably read this sometime in 2019. It's one of the first fics I remember reading for the pair and it definitely sucked me further into the skk rabbit hole. I remember being absolutely obsessed with it and I didn't want it to end, which is why I never read the last chapter of the series because if I don't see a "the end," the story can never come to an end lol

- I read this in 2019 and I found the Chuuya/Agency interactions and his banter with Dazai really entertaining. When I tell you guys my mind was blown when I went back to skim it and found the author's name extremely familiar and realized that they've read/commented on my fic!!

Basically, if they were on the top of the ao3 rankings pre-2023, I've probably read them. There's a reason why they're so popular though, they're really good and worth the re-read!

Hey I'm looking for an ao3 fic that im pretty sure takes place in the summer break between 5th year and 6th. It starts with Harry finding Draco with a suitcase outside of a common chain supermarket. I think i remember Harry complaining about having to do the groceries for the Dursleys. When asked, Draco claims to have run away in search of this ?thing? that will grant one wish; it said something about it being based on a children's tale? or lullaby? o song? some stort of similar origin. So then they somehow end up looking for it together, travelling around and such. I do remember a specific scene where Draco rides a Hippogriff, there's a bunch of them in the area (ruins?). In the end it turns out that there wasn't a wish granting thing but they felt greatful of their budding relationship and went back. I'm pretty sure there weren't any other character pairings, nor appearances, its completed, most likely around or shorter than 50k?.

It is a mucisian AU and I promise you this fanfic is so worth the read, it is pretty long but it is amazing.

The name of the fanfic is "I was screaming your name through the radio" which was made by ElectricSplatter. I recommend it so much, im not even a fan of aus myself but this one is truly an exception.

I am more inclined to believe the first one.”

What The Oath Rod Does - Johmega

Rating: G, Length: 2,770

An interesting (and plausible) hypothetical, where Fortuona- like Mat before her- learns about consequences. Will likely be continued, but also works on its own as a standalone piece.

Hollow Victories - mabus101

Rating: T+, Length: 1,589

There is a fascinating tension in Fortuona, which this fic acknowledges and resolves in a glorious crescendo. Mind the archive warning, but I wouldn't include it on the list if it wasn't worth it.

One-shots that focus on Tuon

Shadow - Millia

Rating: K+, Length: 1,975

Some little character moments between Tuon and Selucia. This fic gives you access to Selucia's inner world, but as in the books, Tuon's inner world is veiled; her true feelings are something everyone must piece out, by implication and context.

Protect and Serve - alkin

Rating: K+, Length: 7,565

Alkin does a lot of delving into the inner lives of damane (check out their profile for some darker works). This character piece features Charral, one of Tuon's six personal damane. Once again, you see Tuon through the relationship she has with others, rather than directly.

Last Words - Min Daae

Remember Sheraine Caminelle? Mylen won't. Yet another point of view from one of Tuon's personal damane, this one much bleaker.

Heels - Zorpisuttle

I don't care if it's bad form to rec my own stuff, this is a story where Fashion Icon Min teaches Tuon about high heels and it belongs on this list. XD

Nora, Nora - Insomnia_Productions

This is a very bittersweet portrait of Fortuona, channeled through a realistic and emotional take on the inevitable "Mat & Tuon's child can channel" plot. The details and writing in this are lovely and heartbreaking.

Hmmm...fake dating for tropes inversion?

This is an interesting one because I have read very good fics where the trope was played mostly straight! (Read Hey Alice, where's your Wonderland? by Insomnia_Productions. Bottom text.)

However, fret not; almost any trope can be further tailored to my (admittedly kind of niche) tastes.

Fake dating where they kind of hate each other's guts and will use their dating status as a way to be passive-aggressive and insufferable in a way that reads to others as innocent. They leverage their situation to make each other's lives a living hell, and they don't stage a breakup because they don't want to be the one to blink first. This charade is a game of chess with lasers, and they're each convinced they'll win it.

hi! i hope this isn’t too vague, but i’m looking for a fic where draco and harry run away to go treasure hunting. the treasure is a wish (i believe) and they have to offer sacrifices collected from where they get the clues/riddles. this takes place in summer and they’re both still underage but draco does something so they don’t get caught by the trace. anyway, draco has spent years trying to find clues to the treasure and this is why he took ancient runes, which he uses to translate the riddles. draco has a something (a map or a poem i think) that’s been passed down generations to find the treasure. there are a few mythical creatures and the riddles are based on various folklore in the uk. i’m pretty sure there’s a scene where draco and harry trade their clothes for the next riddle to a snake. and at one point they go scuba diving in a cave and harry got disoriented while they were heading back to the surface and draco saves him. they also go to a graveyard and according to the folklore there’s creature at the graveyard that will try to kill/hurt them but draco dismisses this, but the creature does show up and attacks them. there was also an altercation with a beast creature that they had to cut the claws off of and it woke up and attacked them. i think at one point draco has to sing in a lake to get the next riddle. in the end they have to put the sacrifices in a fountain or well and they get their wishes. draco also has a bag of irish gold that replenishes so they don’t have to worry about money. they stay in hotels/motels while draco translates. harry also introduces draco to some muggle stuff (i think they go to the cinema/movies at one point). this is all i can remember, hopefully you’ll be able to help out! thank you
