This interview was conducted on Reading Day in the Tunxis Library as Liz did math homework beside me. Liz is 26 years old and is often rolling her eyes at my fangirl shenanigans.  Then again she's an out and proud Slytherin...

Liz: (Eyes on her screen) Okay...Go.

Lauren: So...First question. What is your opinion on how fandom affects relationships.

Liz: (Laughs) What does that even mean?

Lauren: Shit. That question was kind of dumb...Let’s skip that one.

Liz:(Shakes her head at my antics and then nods)

Lauren: Do you feel people have gotten over sensitive in the media?

Liz: (Smirks and laughs a little) Yes.

Lauren: Cool. Do you feel that fan creative works have any value in society? Why or why not?

Liz: I guess...I think all creative works have value. Because art shows how society is being affected politically and socially.

Lauren: (Smiles) Perfect. So...with the rise of millennial culture in fandom...there’s quite a bit of inclusion of their children in their fandoms. Do you think that’s a good idea? Like...how old or young should people be to get involved in fandom?

Liz: I think that’s just a parental thing. You want your kid to follow you politically and religion wise...So it really has nothing to do with fandom. It’s just a thing that happens as a parent regardless.

Lauren: Huh. Okay then. What is the most extreme case of fan you’ve ever seen with your own eyes? Like nothing from an online article...How far is too far?

Liz: Hmmm...When people are so emotionally invested they forget a world is fiction. When they lose touch with reality and need to get help.

Lauren: Excellent. Final question...Does this subculture matter? Why or why not?

Liz: Yes. Because it’s highly social.. People who have similar interests come together and talk about what they like.

Lauren: Perfect. Thank you!

Mostly to help develop them since, aside from designing them, I haven't given much thought. 1.- What is your real name and nickname? V: My designation is Vaporwave. Previously it was Woofer, and some like to call me Vapor or Wave. I'm not picky about it. R: And ah'm Reagan, no last name. Wave likes ta call me Ree, an' he's the only one allowed to.

2.- Interesting, what is your current age? V: It's difficult to quantify with your human years, but I believe I am approaching four million. R: ...dude, really? V: Is... that a problem? R: No! No, ah'm just surprised. Anyway, ah'm about to turn 27. 

3.- What is your favorite food? V: Mmm... energon goodies are good enough. R: And ah'll eat anything s'long as there's potatoes included.

Interview 5: Nesha and Nesha

Our names were practically the same with the exception of two letters, that’s such a win. 5/7 letters were in the same place! Also, I finally adapted a specific way to interview people and obtain the answers I wished to gather, which made interviewing much easier to get through.

Nesha (Not me ;] ) :

-Shockingly, she tried to join BSM as a freshman since there’s a freshman council but she didn’t get the job she applied for. She didn’t try again and seeked another community to be part of. 

-Before coming to this campus, went to PWI .

-“I noticed that you’re not considered black because you’re doing something right. [Especially when you] speak proper and do well, it isn’t seen as being black.”

“Defining blackness was one of my first courses on campus and made me feel apart of the movement as a black student.

People that were apart of BSM were also in this course.

-The organization she’s currently in used to be part of BSM, but now it’s an organization by itself and has spread to other universities. It was created by a past president of BSM, whose focal point was to target youth mentoring. 

-“You have to make people aware of what you’re doing while you’re on campus. I dont feel like they’re advocating enough and I dont feel like people don’t know that BSM even exists on campus.”

Happiness

“I really like the natural hair movement, Black Girl Magic, BLM, etc. these things promote happinesss where people can join together and get happiness.”

“Silent Sam was here to keep blacks out of white spaces. Also, it’s exciting to see so many black people at once, especially coming from a PWI where it can’t really be viewed”
