"Tunisia, where Islamic State looks for fighters" was the title of VENERDÌ di Repubblica magazine (January 9th 2015). I was producing for Amedeo Ricucci well known war reporter for the most important Italian tv mag. The terror tense was rising rapidly in Maghreb and got the high in 2015 with Bardo attack and Sousse heinous slaughter. But violence episodes were tens, often forgotten by main media. I lived there for 3 years, Tunisia was a great working base for North Africa and Middle East. I lived close to the real people, in poor area, distressed district, radical mosquee. The picture of reality started to shift from main stream narrative to a better scale of human framework. It was more complex and changed radically my approach to reporting as journalist but even as human being.
