Tumblr media
you two will be the cutest istg
. . ⇢ [ falling in love . ] ˎˊ˗ ꒰ ☕️ ꒱
Strangers to lovers trope!
You two would be partnered up in a project at school. He would initiate the conversation first and you two would talk about the project. You two would then set up a time to work on the project and let’s just say you two go to the library. It’s cliche but the more you two spend time with each other working on the project, the more he would like you. And that’s how you two would meet!
After the project Chifuyu would still keep in touch with you. This would include small gestures such as waving at you whenever he sees you to initiating small talk before, between, or after class. He would randomly ask you what you are reading. And let’s just say you help out the gardening club. He would come up to you and ask you what you are doing and when you say you are tending to the garden, he would offer to help. (God forbid you hands brushing by each other. This touch starved boy would blush and look away looking flustered)
I feel like he would be confused with his feelings at first considering he has never had a romantic relationship. He would be convinced that the “like” he feels is a platonic friendship but slowly, overtime it would become clear to his friends that it was clearly something more.
His friends would see the way he looks at you, patiently waiting for you to finish whatever you are talking about with a somewhat love-struck expression on his face. There is a fondness in his face that is probably only seen when he is playing with Peke J. That was when his friends would conclude that he has fallen.
Takemichi would definitely tease him. He would be the type of friend that would nudge Chifuyu whenever he sees you. Takemichi would also snicker whenever Chifuyu becomes clumsy around you because he’s just so flustered. He and Hina would be Chifuyu’s wing(wo)men!
. . ⇢ [ confessing . ] ˎˊ˗ ꒰ ☕️ ꒱
Chifuyu would confess in two ways: (and they will all be influenced by the romance mangas he read as well as advice from Takemichi and Hina)
The first way is the romance manga classic: love letter in the shoebox or under your table. It would just be a simple not of like “Please meet me on the rooftop” or “Please meet me by the cherry blossom tree.” And when you come, this boy is so nervous. (Hiding around the corners would be Takemichi and Hina. They would just be observing Chifuyu)
When he confessed, his cheeks would be tinted red and he would stumble over his words. After a few seconds of incoherent words, he would look at you in the eyes and blurt out that he likes you and if you would like to go out with him.
When you say yes he would be the happiest boy. The butterflies in his stomach would bloom into a warm and fuzzy feeling. He would definitely hug you straight away.
Now the second way he would confess to you is also another romance manga classic: inviting you out to (again) the rooftop or cherry blossom tree and giving you a love letter
He would spend sleepless nights attempting to write a confession and his trash can would be full of what he deems to be lacklustre notes. This would be a heartfelt and somewhat cheesy letter. But he would make sure his handwriting is a neat and impeccable as possible. He would also consult Takemichi and Hina, asking them how the letter is and if there is anything he should add or change
I feel like Chifuyu would most likely confess to you in the first way.
. . ⇢ [ dating . ] ˎˊ˗ ꒰ ☕️ ꒱
Most definitely, 10000%, he would give you his oversized hoodie/sweater any chance he saw. You are cold? He gives you his hoodie/sweaters. You like oversized sweaters? Pick one from his closet to wear. Is his closet (hoodies/sweaters) free real estate for you? Yes of course. Hotel? Trivago. He just loves seeing you in his oversized sweaters. His oversized sweaters are already big on him and on you who is shorter??? He find it absolutely adorable.
You two would spend a lot of time just silently reading with each other. He, reading a manga, and you, reading one of your books. It’s a comfortable silence where you guys would be leaning your backs on each other as Peke J lies on you and Chifuyu’s lap. He would also take interest in what you are reading! You two might one day be reading the same books (if it’s a romance book he would be like “damn X can do better than choosing Y. Z is better than X)
I can just see the scenario in which Peke J is more excited to see you more than Chifuyu. Like when you two enter his room, Peke J would immediately come over to you and rub on your leg affectionately. When you sit down, Peke J will hop on your lap and take a nap. Meanwhile Chifuyu would be jealous of his own cat. He would be jealous of the affection you give to Peke J. (This boy would probably one day say “meow” and you would be like ???. He would just reply with “I’m a cat so cuddle me too.”) You would one day catch Chifuyu looking very serious while talking to Peke J. It would be like:
“Peke J, s/o is mine so stop hogging all her attention.”
Peke J would Meow in defiance
“What do you mean no? I confessed to her first so she’s mine.”
But all in all, he would be glad Peke J loves you as much as he loves that cat. He adores you two and has photos of you and Peke J. His wallpaper is probably an aesthetic photo of you and Peke J. (He has a dedicated folder)
You two would also have dates where you two are playing video games! Imagine him visiting your town in animal crossing. You two would take cute pictures of your avatars in an aesthetic cottage core setting and it would be so cute.
He will 100% match your energy. You are loud? He will be loud too. And he loves being loud with you. It means a lot to him because that just means you consider him someone close! And he just falls harder for you (SIMPP)
When you bake, Chifuyu would also be interested! But be warned that your kitchen would turn into a cleaner’s mess with flour all over. By the end of the baking, you two would have flour in your hair and/or whipping cream on your faces.
Fuyu would most likely continue the Peyoung Yakisoba tradition with you. This tradition also bleeds out into other food such as cakes or other sweets. Sharing something in half means a lot to him and has a special meaning.
A lot of the times, you two might stop on the streets to pet some stray cats or dogs.
He doesn’t mind PDA. He would hold your hand in public, or have his arm sling around your shoulder. He doesn’t mind hugging or kissing you in public as well. But if you are uncomfortable with PDA he will minimize it to handholding.
Matching accessories!!! Matching earrings! Couple rings, bracelets! Chifuyu would definitely get those for you two! Ohhh and if you are comfortable, those matching couple outfits!!!
His kisses are so gentle, albeit a little clumsy because of inexperience but he learns! He also loves kissing you on the cheek and forehead. If you initiate the kiss, he would become a tomato.
When Chifuyu finds out that you want to be a veterinarian, he would be hyped and be your personal cheerleader. I can just imagine in the future where you two are all grown up, him as a pet store owner and you as a veterinarian. What a power couple. IT FITS SO WELLL U TWO ARE DESTINED!

.˚🌙 ༘┊͙ manjiro “mikey” sano ;
You and I both know Mikey would eat all of the stuff you bake no question. You finished baking cookies just a few minutes ago? Well you just summoned Invincible Mikey. But this boy will also share his sweets with you. Only you though. (Pls I can just imagine you two making your taiyaki kiss each other it’s cute omg)
He’s very very very protective. He doesn’t want to lose another precious person again and so he will treasure you. If you get upset or if god forbid someone upset you, then they will face Mikey. Your books will most definitely be safe.
When you are reading or watching a documentary, he will most likely fall asleep on you or on your lap. And when you are watching a documentary and his head is on his lap, play with his hair! He enjoys it and feels calm. He loves you playing with his hair. Bonus if you tie his hair for him!!!

. . . . . ꒰ ♡ ꒱ ,, this was my very first matchup so I really really hope you enjoy! And you are of no bother at all! Thank you for requesting and please come again! ⌲˘͈ᵕ˘͈

Tenipuri Party: Echizen Ryouma profile translation
Tumblr media
TN:
In the absence of an official English version, this translation is intended to help those who can’t read the material in the original language. Please support Tenipuri by getting your own copy of this book - it is worth it! There are various ways of purchasing it even for those not living in or visiting Japan.
The pictures I have included in this post do not show full pages.
On Echizen’s style of speech: he uses boyish style with pretty straightforward and brief sentences. In Japan it wouldn’t be considered exactly polite in style, even if the content is not exactly rude.
I’m still working on Japanese, so there might be mistakes. Please let me know if you spot any translation errors so I can fix them here!

Interview
“As long as I can play tennis, I don’t care which team I play for”
Congratulations on being reinstated as Japan’s representative! For Echizen-senshu, what was the experience of fighting as an American representative like?
What was it like…? Normal. As long as I can play tennis, the country is irrelevant.
Did you have a strong desire to play on the same team as Ryouga-senshu?
No, I wanted to play against him. But in the end, he was being evasive and escaped.
Where there any impressions you had looking at the Japanese team from the outside?
They’ve changed a bit, somehow. Fuji-senpai, Atobe-san, that person called “the child of god”. And… Akutsu-san too. Not bad, everyone.
Is that the reason you returned to Japan’s team?
Not really. It’s just that when I thought about who were the people that made me strong… If you’re fighting together with someone, I guess I’d do it here.
Sometimes, a samurai-like aura can be felt around Echizen-senshu.
Hmm… I don’t know since I can’t tell myself. When I was fighting the French prince, I guess it was said that he was a knight and I was a samurai. He was a troublesome guy, but the match with him was fun. Well, I’ll win next time too. The horseback match was a tie, but next time I’ll win that one too.

Party Talk
Q: Is there any table with players you’re interested in? A: Not really… But I guess there are strong looking guys at the German table. Well, I’d beat all of them.
Q: You offered Fanta to Tokugawa-san, didn’t you? A: He drank it in one go. I wonder if it was that good.
Q: Could it be you’re having taiyaki for the first time? A: Yeah. Why is it shaped like a fish? I’ll eat from the head side.
Q: Your suit is wonderful. Did you tie the necktie yourself? A: …How about not treating me like a kid? Well, I had it tied for me.
Q: Ah, suddenly a cat is clinging to Echizen-kun...! A: The Australian rep’s cat? There, there…
Fashion
“When we met by coincidence the other day, you were wearing a T-shirt with a strange design. What country’s brand was that?” (Yukimura)
“I’ll give you some hand-me-downs next time. But maybe they’ll be too big for you, Chibisuke?” (Ryouga)
“Koshimae is always wearing a cap! Lend it to me too!” (Tooyama)
“Basically I like clothes that are easy to move in. I guess I wear half-pants and shorts a lot.” (Echizen)
“Heeey Echizen! Are you wearing the socks we bought for color variation when we went shopping?” (Momoshiro)
Album
This is an album that happened to be in my backpack when I came to Australia. I think I got it after the nationals when I was leaving for America. Look at this and remember, they said. …But email and phones exist. Mada mada ne.
Room
Looks like stuff from America has increased While I was gone, mom and the others have rearranged my room, and exchanged stuff like the TV for a new one. The stuff I was made to take to the camp has also increased. I always play tennis at home too, though, so I’m only in the room when I sleep.

Monthly Listening: April 2020
Listening to music during quarantine has been... interesting. This might sound obvious but I’ve been putting on more indoor music. Calmer stuff. Especially because those indoor listens happen in the morning or at night. I’ve been saving more of the dynamic stuff like upbeat pop and rap, energetic techno or loud ass metal for my walks. It makes me realize just how much environment and activity plays into my listening choices now that I don’t have work or my work commute to determine those.

Tips for Shopping for Asian Music in Japan!
If you're a J-Pop fan, you probably know better than anyone that it's difficult to get content quickly at an affordable price. J-Pop releases are usually much smaller than their K-pop counterparts, but the price and shipping from online CD stores doesn't really reflect that. So if you ever find yourself in Japan, there's no reason not to take advantage of the good deals surrounding you! However, there are a lot of different places to get music, and it can be overwhelming to sort through. For a little hand in getting the most for your yen, please check out some of my tips and tricks for getting J-Pop while you're in Japan!
CD Stores (New):
The two major CD  stores in Japan are Tower Records and HMV. Both charge standard retail price for CDs, and both have pretty great stock, so if you're looking for a CD, there's a good chance these stores will have it—particularly if you're shopping in metropolitan areas like Shinjuku or Shibuya. Some regional branches of these stores are much smaller and will focus on new releases or best-selling groups like Johnny's groups or AKB48.
Both Tower Records and HMV sell K-Pop and have a small selection of music from popular Western artists. You can also buy magazines, photobooks, and concert DVDs from these stores.
If you're buying a CD around the release week, it might be a good idea to research if the group is having an event at Tower Records or HMV. Depending on which location you shop at, you might be able to get an event ticket to attend and in-store live or a lottery ticket to go to a handshake event. Usually the music store website will list their upcoming events.
Groups might also have special promo items at certain music stores. For example, you can get the same HMV exclusive novelty items at HMV stores that you can get online—this includes items like postcards, clear files, or posters like Da-iCE's calendar posters.
Basic tips:
-In Japan, you can usually buy an album the day before the official release day—this is called “flying get.” If you're worried about event tickets or novelty item running out, be sure to flying get your CD! This can also help your group of choice get a high first day ranking on the Orion charts!
-Music stores are not arranged by the English alphabet, but instead by Japanese syllables. Since some Japanese group names are English, this can often be a little confusing, so before you started shopping, it migh be helpful to figure out how the syllable system works. For example, Da-iCE starts with the “da” sound, but is actually filed under the “ta” syllable.
-Some groups are organized by their agency, and not their group name. For example, Johnny's Entertainment groups have their own section in most CD stores. In other CD stores, LDH groups and Ebidan groups have their own section. If you can't find them with the other CDs, they might be in their own individual areas!
-HMV has a fantastic online used store where CDs can sell for great discounts! Of course, you can take advantage of this store overseas, but in Japan it comes along with free shipping that can have your goods delivered in one to two days! The condition of the CDs is quite good, but the downside is while some sellers will tell you if the CD comes with a photocard or bonus content, others won't. It's good to hunt around the site for a bit before committing to a purchase.
CD Stores (Used)
Book Off is actualy my personal favorite place to go CD shopping since you can get fantastic deals or expensive content. Prices can go as low as 108 yen, and on average you can get most CDs between 500 yen and 1,100 yen (basically $4-$10). What kind of CDs are in stock and the overall size of the store varies from location to location, but most stores offer a wide selection of J-pop, J-rock, Western music, K-pop, jazz, classical, anime music, and so on.
You can also buy used concert DVDs, photobooks, magazines, and box sets at Book Off in addition to other content like books, manga, anime, TV shows, movies, figurines, and so on.
Since Book Off is a used store, the organization isn't always perfect, so try keeping these tips in mind when you visit:
-Book Off's CDs are usually divided into regular discounts, 500 yen mark downs, and 280 yen mark downs. However, a lot of discounts are scattered in each section. For example, I've found 108 yen and 280 yen CDs in the regular section, and 280 yen CDs in 500 yen section. If you have the time, I would explore all sections to see what you can find.
-K-pop CDs are usually divided from J-pop CDs and stuck on the end of the Western music section of the stores. HOWEVER, a lot of employees don't know which groups are K-pop and which aren't, so you'll often be able to find K-pop artists (especially TVXQ, BoA, and Supernova) with the J-pop CDs.
-Oversized CDs often can't fit on the standard shelves, so if you're looking for bigger albums like K-pop CDs or boxsets, look around for the over sized CD sections.
-K-pop or J-pop CDs which come with photocards or bonus content may or may not be sold with it in Book Off. If the CD isn't in plastic wrap, you can check, but if it is wrapped up, be aware that it may not contain a photocard.
-One of the best times/places to buy used CDs is directly after a CD release at the Shibuya Book Off. For certain J-Pop groups or K-pop groups, fans will bulk buy the album in hopes of getting certain event tickets or photocards, then immediately go to Book Off Shibuya to resell their extra CDs. With the influx of CDs, the staff won't plastic wrap each CD, and will place them immediately onto the mark down shelf, which makes them easy to check to see if they do or don't have photocard content inside.
Disk Union is also a good resource. While you can find a pretty decent J-pop selection in this store, I'd actually recommend this store a little more for fans of rock, classical, jazz, soul, and of course Western music. There are some VERY rare items in the store for excellent prices, but most of them tend in the direction of vinyl records, box sets, or limited edition releases. If you're near the Shinjuku area, I'd definitely give the branch there a look to see what kind of goods you can find.
Merch
If you're an idol fan, there's no better place to go than Trio! Here is where you can find merch, a lot of which you can normally only access by attending concerts or being part of the fan club! Items include concert goods, lightsticks, photobooks, photocards and postcards, posters, uchiwas, bags, keychains, and so on.
The stores are generally divided by male and female idols. Johnny's groups dominate the male half of the store, and you can find goods from pretty much every era of those groups' promotions for a FANTASTIC price considering how rare some of the items are. There are also items from LDH and Ebidan groups and avex groups like Da-iCE and Solidemo. However, the merch availability for the newer groups is mostly limited at the moment. On the female half, you can find exclusive goods for 48-project groups and Hello! Project groups, with some other smaller groups being represented.
AAA also a pretty sizable representation at Trio, including some hard to find concert goods that are almost impossible to get overseas these days!
Trio also has a rock section, particularly in the Nakano Broadway location, so if you're a fan of VK or some of the biggest names of alt-rock, you can also find some of their concert merch, magazines, and posters.
The store Mandarake also has a section dedicated to idols, those once again Johnny's groups dominates the selections for male idols. The goods are similar to Trio, so if there's anything you couldn't find at Trio, this is an excellent place to hit up.
However, please be aware that a lot of goods are in glass cases and you will need the help of a shop assistant to purchase them. Before you go, try brushing up on your shopping Japanese so you're not just grunting and pointing to what you need.
K-Pop
Along with the standard CD stores, you can find more K-pop CDs in Tokyo's Koreatown district in Shin-Okubo. In this area, there are entire streets dedicated to K-pop where you find CDs, posters, merch, photobooks, lightsticks, fashion, DVDs, and other K-pop related content. A lot of it is unofficial merch, but if that doesn't bother you, it's a fantastic place to go shopping! Best of all, a lot of rookie groups can often be found in the area to promote themselves, and occasionally you can even take a picture with them!
Prices can vary from store to store, and some stores have signed CDs available. Since there is a gap in the prices, my strategy while shopping in Shin-Okubo is to do all my browsing first and then backtrack to make purchases after comparing prices.
Please also be aware that many of the stores don't accept credit cards—it's always good to have some cash on hand!

Five PlayStation VR Titles You Should Consider Importing
When it comes to virtual reality (VR) titles, Europe and the US have been fairly luck so far, not much has been stuck in Japan with Western fans clamoring for it to cross the ocean. There are some exceptions, though. Here are five titles for the PlayStation VR not available in The Us or Europe that you should consider playing.
Restless Spirit
Restless Spirit is a Japanese horror title, though more like an interactive movie than a traditional videogame, the viewer is exploring the forest, and how the story progresses is directly related to what direction you are looking at certain key points. The title deliberately calls on classic Japanese urban legends, folklore and horror tropes. The experience only lasts for around fifteen minutes, but as anyone has seen the original Japanese version of the The Ring can attest, 15 minutes is plenty of time to scare the pants off you.

Headbutt Factory
Headbutt Factory is an off-the-wall puzzle title that involves headbutting flying balls for…reasons. Curiously, it’s controlled entirely using the PlayStation VR headset, no controller of the PlayStation Move or Dual Shock variety is required. Playing this probably looks like someone trying to play football (soccer, to our American readers) against invisible opponents. Quite apart from the unique control scheme, it looks beautiful, like a fantasy version of Venice in the clouds crossed with steampunk as drawn by Studio Ghibli.
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune
Dead or Alive is completely bonkers. It is completely shameless in its blatant fanservice and ludicrous jiggle physics. It’s still great, though. It’s so obviously ridiculous and over-the-top that it becomes amusing rather than insulting. They’re also fairly decent fighting games in their own right, with smooth, responsive controls and loads of different modes to try out. Playing the Dead or Alive titles with friends is hilarious fun, so obviously playing with friends and a VR headset must be even better.
Fly to Kuma
Everyone loves Lemmings. Whether your first Lemmings experience was on the Amiga, PC or any of the numerous console ports, the majority of videogamers have fond memories. Colpol Inc. brought the Lemmings concept into the 21st Century by incorporating VR with Fly to Kuma. Instead of green mop-topped creatures, the player has to stage-manage adorable pink teddy bears through the perilous levels. Though stylistically the title owes more to Portal than Lemmings, the gameplay is all classic Lemmings, involving placing blocks and ramps in strategic locations to help the bears through the levels filled with bombs and fire hazards. While the title is available on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive in the west, PlayStation VR owners will need to look to imports for this title.
Joysound VR
Karaoke gets a lot of stick in the west. Subject to jokes and mockery at the often terrible noises that pass for singing in clubs and bars running karaoke nights in city centres. It’s hard to deny that karaoke is a huge deal in Japan, however. So of course the Japanese PSN store has a karaoke title. Let’s face it, it’s not necessary for everything to be serious all the time. Joysound VR offers the atmosphere of a Tokyo karaoke bar without needing to fly halfway around the world, along with NPCs to cheer on your performance. If you like Japanese music, especially J-pop, and the Japanese karaoke scene and if you were a fan of Karaoke party games such as SingStar, you are quite likely to have a lot of fun with Joysound VR.
friends and a VR headset must be even better

「ROJACK for ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2017」間違いないバンド part.3(2/5)
youtube
普段から交流があったHATAKE(Vo)KAZUMA(Ba)OKT(Dr)MINE(Gt)が集まってできた4人グループ。
youtube
youtube
youtube
youtube
