actually this is making me think of a really good fic series, angelus ex machina, which is about the parabatai bond — they become one person when they're fighting together, really good writing & I think you'd like it! (+ there's immortal husbands, which is always a plus)

anyway that concept is definitely super interesting — they're combining minds to make essentially one person with two bodies. SO COOL
