I mean, it's obvious as they both enlisted the same day, serve in the same unit, sleep in the same dorm, and basically are inseparable, and yet, he could have gone with just mentioning himself, it's not like they are always a two-for thing... or aren't they?😜

He also, most definitley, did not have to mention the number of days left.

This kind of shows us two things.

For one, they are most definitley counting down the days...

and second, JK chose to tell us how many days are left on the 16 October 2024. Not in any other previous post he made since their enlistment.

In South Korea couples have a unique and delightful way of celebrating anniversaries marking special milestones. They commemorate these milestones by exchanging personalized gifts, going on romantic dates, by wearing matching clothes or by sharing photos documenting their relationship. This is done in recognition of their continuous love and appreciation.

Now let's dive into see how Jikook celebrates a special a date in their relationship.

On Nov 8th 2015 Jikook posts their first video together on twitter

Exactly 100 days after Nov 8th 2015 Jungkook made a tweet about the importance of lyrics in a song and uploaded his cover of Nothing Like Us by Justin Bieber

One year later on Nov 8th 2016 Jimin posts a video of Jungkook and him sitting together on a plane

On Nov 8th 2017 Jungkook releases his first ever GCF. It was video documenting Jimin and Jungkook's private trip to Japan in 2017. A trip Jungkook planned and arranged as a birthday gift to Jimin

On Jan 26th 2018, which is 811 days from Nov 8th 2015 Jimin posted this pic. Do you see the black & white reference at the foot of the champagne glass? Interesting right??!!

On August 2018 BTS were in Malta filming BV Season 3.

1000 days after Nov 8th 2015 Jungkook posted a selca while in Malta at 10:13 local time which is Jimin time

Now before we move on let's take a moment to remember that Jimin won the Search King Challenge question where BTS had to find the 2000th day from the first episode of Run BTS. He used the NAVER Anniversary Calculator. Jungkook was not far behind. He was about to answer but lost by a few seconds to Jimin. Hoseok had no idea about the calendar while Namjoon went for Google. So, this shows Jimin often uses the calculator for finding important dates and anniversaries

Okay, now back to our main topic.

BTS PTD Seoul Concert in March 2022. And during the concert...

He said "This is Jimin from grade 2 class 3 number 15". Cause March 10th 2022 was exactly 2315 days from Nov 8th 2015.

Remember the rectangular Maison Margeila pendant which Jimin wears? He wears the one where the number 11 is encircled.

Let's take out 11 and add all the other numbers on this pendant.

On Feb 21 2022 Jungkook posted a video on his IG highlighting 23:08 which is basically 11:08 however the story was originally posted at 1 am

On October 26th 2022 (which is 13 days after Jimin's birthday and 13 days to Nov 8th) while in Qatar Jungkook posted a pic on his IG at 11:08 pm KST

There are a myriad of references to 11/8 from song covers, song recommendations ending at the 1:18 mark to pics posted by both Jimin and Jungkook.

Both Jungkook and Jimin has shown how they are serious about these numbers relating to their relationship or those about each other. Reminds me of how Jimin started a live on Sept 1st 2023 wearing a 1997 model watch adjusted to Jungkook's birth time

Nov 8th 2024 marks their 9 years of togetherness.

1108 started on the 8th of November of 2015.

Jimin uploaded a video of him and Jungkook to twitter:

On the 26th of January 2016, Jk uploaded a small snippet of a song he was covering.

And on the 15th of February of 2016, Jk uploaded the entire song Nothing Like Us and noted to listen to the lyrics as they were expressing what he wanted to say:

My impressions

Based on Korean customs, celebrating different day milestones is typical in a Korean couple.

While some may think that jikook started dating on the 8th of November 2015, I think that's when they decided to be intimate with each other.

I feel like a jikook kiss had already happened since the last time Jimin asked Jk for a kiss publicly was in September 2015 for Jk's birthday. From there, one can only think that things proceeded quite quickly.

I think that in recent years, we have observed less mentions of 1108 because of BTS' popularity and so many fans expecting something from jikook.

It's possible that jikook has decided to not make these milestones known like they did before, but every now and then, they still reference that number. Who knows when they will do it again.

But who is counting, right?

11/08 is considered Jikook day, esp in Korea & celebrated like a real holiday over there. Mainly because its Jikook who started it themselves. Jimin was posting selfies together with Jk on that day, even before Jk ever posted GCF Tokyo on that day. Both have made several references toward that date in particular, with Jk flat out writing 23:08 (11/08) in KST on his IG when Jimin was recovering from his surgery, as well as the cover of Hate Everything he posted when Jimin was recovering as well, where he cropped it at 1:18. Interesting he made two back to back posts references that date/time while Jimin was hurt/recovering. And he started his white day live at 8:11, where he spoiled Jimin's songs, talked about Jimin& randomly played There for you & brought up GCF Tokyo in that live and of course it worked & Jimin showed up, even tho he was overseas. Interesting coincidences. Regardless if you believe any theories, it is a date/time Jikook references & why its celebrated, but mainly celebrated due to GCF Tokyo being released on that day, which is NOT A MADE UP DAY. It's real & is still there for everyone to watch. Kinda sus how actual koreans go all out for Jikook on that day & funny that 85% of Jikookers are k-jkk. Businesses & civilians celebrating like its a real anniversary. Hmnn. Do they know something we don't?

At this point the cult is so desperate they've given Tk like 20 days & pray every year they come online on any one of them & reference it. They wanted Jk to say happy Taekook day, but instead he said, of course I went to Jimin's room and we hugged. Like him saying, I only remember this day because of what Jimin did. Too bad so sad. and it negative affect on jikook

A baby army phase is the main reason why alot do not believe in jikook, for various reasons spanning from the abundance of Y/Ns scenarios, armyblinks theories and an unhealthy exposure to tkk. Today however my focus is on the Jimin the flirt image.

I became an official ARMY after MOTS7 meaning I was a baby Army during lockdown so plenty of time to go through every YouTube recommendations. So from compilations videos, to performances, to taekook slow- mo edits -you name it I watched every youtube video a baby army in 2020 had to watch. And with all that comes certain and distinct images painted on every member.

Jimin is the flirt of the group, the womanizer and mostly the one to lure for male gazes. Jimin the one that knows his hot and very much loves the attention they give especially the attention coming from the male audience... once you JIM-IN you can't JIM-OUT (😂)

The video I want to highlight on is the access interview about the members favorite body parts... you know the famous clip on which Jimin lusts real hard for the interviewer that slaps his thighs that he loses concentration -yeah that one.

Time skip to December 2020, now I refer to myself as a well established ARMY and get to watch the jikook mma performance and I'm like wow are they beautiful. So yes after that day it was logical (human nature even) to search more on the pair because prior to that they were just known as Jimin the flirt and Jungkook the not-so willing victim because that how they were branded by ARMY.

So the more I watched, the more I realized that there is something different with the pair however as early as my Jikook honeymoon started it ended on February 2021. I stopped trying to degrees deeper meaning to them because... Jimin is the flirt he does it with everyone.

Fortunately pandora opens up again during Jimin's 2021 birthday live (still soft for that Jimin 🥹). That whole conversation of calling Jungkook over is still by far the most domestically romantic shit I have seen on media. Their interaction made one thing clear -there is more to jikook that meet the eye, they are in love.

So down the rabbit hole I go once again however this time not in search of the pairs perfect synergy on stage but for the pairs magical romantic moments. Funny enough I was expecting to see Tkk slow-mo type of edits but I was presented with a jackpot -GCF Tokyo directed by, edited by and filmed by Jungkook.

I was spooked, shocked and amazed that what I just watched was real and not just a fragment of my imagination. So I binged watched more (observation by a non-shipper.) And read about them extensively. A common timeline is established with the most important date being 08/11/15.

And that makes for the triumphant return of the JIMIN EFFECT videos especially the highlighted one. So I couldn't help but ask myself why in the world would Jimin lust over someone when his boyfriend is sitting right next to him??? and why is he such a flirt if he has been in a relationship all this time.

Questions like that came to mind immediately. However once I return to watch all those videos... I laughed at how stupid I am to make such things rise doubts to jikook being real. By this time I am two year old ARMY and aware that the image painted by ARMYs for baby ARMYs to follow aren't all that factual once you actually establish yourself into the fandom.

So yeah the baby army phase takes away validation of Jikook via high dosage of rubbish.

"Jimin is a flirt, he does it with everyone and Jungkook is just a victim of his flirtatious advances." a baby army just recently told me this, I was about to fight them however I realized I was once there but I saw beyond that... Unfortunately not all get to see how special Jungkook is to Jimin.

This is a great question.

My short answer is that many jikook supporters think 8 November 2015 is the date their relationship status changed. They've played with those numbers so many times over the years that even a sceptic like me can see there's some significance there.

Wait a damb minute....i have been a jkkr for yrs now and how the heck i didn't know 11/08 is supposed to be the jkk anniversary? As far as i know we celebrate 11/08 as GCFT's anniversary and because gcft is special for us we might celebrate it in more excitement than anything else. And since it's the date he posted gcft we give it important cause again back to the point it's a gcft date. Where the heck anon got it's a jikook anniversary?? Do you think we're tkkrs who go around 1538352th taekook day in 365 days?? There's no such"jikook day" or "jikook anniversary" thing here. We celebrate the moment that happened at a particular date which we find big and important for us we don't call any day as jikook day. You'll never see any big jkk account calling 11/08 jikook day. Other small accts might think so but we don't do it like tkkrs here.

And his first ever gcf is still special cause jungkook himself said he'd never forget the trip in an interview, they have talked about the trip in multiple interviews. Even though they have already went to japan so they had other options to go for travelling yet they went to japan again. And do not forgot the fact that no one knew jk was going to upload gcft cause no one was aware of it neither the staff nor jimin or members. jungkook himself said "gcft was different and i did what i wanted cause it wasn't work" and said since other gcfs are work related he has restrictions which he didn't had for gcft so you can crawl back anon.

Got to thinking about Minkook Math and wondered if anyone else was too. I did a calculation, and 11/19/2024 is exactly 3300 days from 11/08/15. There’s all kinds of other symbolism in 11/19/2024 too, like 9/1, 11/8, 10/13. It’s kind of like we hit the jackpot in one date. I’m also wondering if Jikook will somehow take note of it, or if both might post something at 16:50 (4:50 pm). Just a thought. Anyone else feeling it or am I expecting too much? Jikook Week 47 Complete (29/10-05/11/2024)

Their 47th week in the military is now complete and we celebrate with a look back at this week in 2017.

It was a very special week for Jimin and Jungkook marking their first trip together. They went to Tokyo between 28/10 and 31/10 on a trip that JK organised as a birthday present for Jimin, a trip that they are still talking about seven years later.

"We were walking down an alley, there weren't many cars, there was the light from the street lamps.... It was really beautiful. And then Jimin said that his feet hurt and so we walked slowly. These simple things were so fun" Jungkook, Real Love, Beyond the Story

"We went around wearing masks from the move Scream with black fabric covering our bodies, and black umbrellas. When people came over, we took picture, it was fun. We went around people watching, and when we went to the restaurant, we took off our masks and ate" Jungkook, Real Love, Beyond the Story

They wandered the streets, went shopping, ate good food and visited Disneyland before returning to Korea on the 31/10.

The first Golden Closet Film came out about a week later on 08/11 much to JK's delight as its talented creator and Jimin as its star.

No one before or since has shown Jimin quite like JK does here. He is completely open, relaxed and joyful. He beams at JK behind the lens. This is what it must feel like to be in Jimin's inner circle and have his complete trust. It is a Jimin that we don't really see anymore, although perhaps, in Are You Sure? we caught glimpses of that guy.

On 31/10, Jimin posted this photo of them looking relaxed and happy with an emoji caption. The trip seems to have done them a lot of good and brought them even closer.

The trip took place during a break in the Wings tour between the Taiwan concerts on the 21-22/10 and the Macau concert on 04/11. If you want to know how crazy this time was for them and how hard they were working nothing can demonstrate that more clearly than the Burn the Stage series and in this case Episode 8 which shows the October and November leg of the tour and its final concert in Seoul on 10th December 2017.

It is in this episode that Taehyung asks us to love all seven of the members of BTS which seems worth repeating at this moment.

Watching their 2017 selves talking about what they learnt about each other and about themselves during the Wings Tour made me nostalgic for a time when I wasn't even in the fandom and hopeful for the future that they deserve, pursuing the next steps of their musical journey together as a group. Just over seven months to go before that future can become a reality and all we need to do until then is hold it together, ensure we put out our share of positivity to balance the incessant toxicity of SM and TRUST IN BTS.

Since your a taekooker, I wanted to know what your opinion is on the whole November 8th, 2015 being Jimin and jungkooks anniversary theory. They’ve posted things that were on certain hundred day mark multiple times (like 100 days, 300 days, 1000 days, 1500 days. Although, some of these were posts that were just Jimin or just jungkook, not together), it seems like that number (1108) has been referenced by them on multiple different occasions (jikookers bring up the biggest moment being when jungkook posted the story with the time 23:08 on it and Jimin saying the whole student thing with the numbers 2 3 15 after it had been 2315 days since that date) and multiple other things. If you would like, I could send you posts that explain it?

I’m not a jikooker, I just want to know what your opinion is on this since you don’t think they’re dating and it seems to be a very popular theory between jikookers.

Hi anon! Kinda confused by this ask, though it's quite alright (don't worry), because you kinda already know my answer to this right? I don't think Jimin and Jk are together, therefore I don't think there is any anniversary date to start with. I've also not gone through this extensively, so I may not be entirely aware of everything surrounding this idea.

But to elaborate a bit. It appears to me there is not much to base the actual November 8th, 2015 on. Only one short video of Jk and Jimin together on Twitter(?), which Jkkrs have dubbed Jikook day. That can not stand on it's own as proof at all. So if your starting day is based on nothing, then why start counting from there? There's also been no consistency in posts from either of them on 100 day's marks, not even if you combine their posts. It's only a few instances that match, which can easily be seen as coincidences, since Jimin and Jk post regular as it is. You can also not deduce any meaning from those posts. Who knows what was meant by them? Pics of them together are not rare, Jk posting songs is not rare. None of those instances can stand alone as Jikook proof. So all there is really is fanbased theory.

I don't know if this is true, but to me it looks like someone took the releasedate of GCF Tokyo and made that out to be a special dat in general and that way 8th of November 2015 became Jikook's anniversary date. They came across some posts that fit that narrative and a headcanon was started. Jkkrs talk about the appaerance of the numbers 11 and 8 in some posts as if it's too much to be coincidence, but if you look at ot in the timespan of ten years, and take with that the amount of posts in general, it really is coincidence. Same goes for Jimin mentioning 2,3, and 15 at that concert. It cannot stand alone for anything. What kinda day is 2315 days even? With their schedules I can imagine them losing track of time and places constantly.

So, no I obviously don't think anything of this, except that it's fans trying to make something fit. I don't even place significance on Taekook dates really. It's stuff I think fandom won't be privy to.
