Be Irresistible, Click Here Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers says he “learned a lot” during his four months at Ohio State and says he still cherishes the ... [Music] your first question is going to come from Bill robinowitz Bill go ahead hi Quinn bill reinitz from The Columbus Dispatch um you're obviously in Columbus only one semester what stands out to you about that time and and your decision to come and your decision to go um obviously CJ strout had established himself I'm sure that was a big reason but if you could kind of talk about your time here um yeah um learned a lot while I was there under you know coach day and and CJ and just that whole room was awesome to to be around and know super thankful for for that time that I got to spend there and like I said I learned a whole lot so um I don't regret any decision I made on going or or anything like that so um but the main reason I went was I felt like I had a you know a great relationship with with the coaching staff and you know they were winning a lot of games and um I wanted to go be a part of something like that and um the reason that uh I came back to Texas was one you know to be closer to where I'm from and just closer to the resources that I have and you know the relationships that I've built over time just being from Texas your next question is gonna come from Joe cook Joe go ahead hey Quinn kind of along those lines what was one of the biggest tips that you got from CJ and do you still keep up with him as well now he's uh not too far from you Houston yeah no we don't we don't keep up that much but um you know I got one of his receivers that he played with in high school in Silas Balden so we we caught up a little bit over that just talking about Silas but um you know it's it's been fun to watch him and as his NFL career you know continues and everything but um you know what I really learned from from the guys in that room is really how to be a college quarterback and kind of what it takes to be a college quarterback from preparing in the film room and taking that on to practice and then ultimately the game your next question is going to come from Nicole Sheeran Nicole go ahead hey Quinn just kind of going off of that as well what's it going to be like going up against you know your former coach and Ryan day but you've also got some of your former teammates Ty Williams called you his guy the other day and you've got you know Mecca bua guys like that so what that what's that going to be like for you yeah it's gonna be awesome just to to get to see all those guys again I mean in the semester that I was there I feel like I made you know some pretty good relationship while I was there and um you know those guys were those guys were fun to be around when I was there they they took me in and and kind of in a weird time for sure for as me coming in as you know kind of in the middle of fall camp and you know some of those guys just kind of you know saying what's up to me it was simple as that and you know kind of Welcome welcoming me in and you know I felt like I belong there and um it was it's going to be fun to get to see those guys um you know me me and Jack soya were roommates my freshman year with a couple other guys so it's it's going to be it's going to be cool to get to see those guys for sure your next question is going to come from Terry Middleton Terry go ahead when good afternoon um so I'm curious from your time here at Texas do you remember a time when not only coach sarkeesian AJ milwe the rest of the entire staff and team when they put their complete and unwavering trust in you as their quarterback do you remember that time and what was it like do well I mean sorry so someone say something nope okay um well I could tell you my first fall Camp here um obviously I was battling with Hudson Hudson card to to earn the starting job and then towards the end of that Sark and me had a you know a good conversation where he pretty much told me that it's it's my job and
you know I think that was a big step for me obviously because it makes things a whole lot easier whenever you do know that you're going to be the quarterback and especially the starter um it just helps my confidence for sure and then you know that year there was definitely some ups and downs um with going on with the injury you know we we came out the first quarter against Alabama and in 2022 and um you know we were rolling as an offense and I feel like that obviously helped build confidence and and me and then everybody around me and um from from then on out it's kind of just built on from then your next question is gonna come from Dan hope Dan go ahead hey Quinn just want to ask from your time at Ohio State are there any specific relationships you made with people there that have really stayed strong for you to this day well I mean me me and Kyle still still talk to get him out I know he's not there anymore but um we talk often and I mean I I guess it's been a little bit but to me those relationships feel like if I'd see him you know walking down the side of the road it'd be like you know I was hanging out with them yesterday I just feel like those the relationship that I built there were just they were they were definitely super special for sure your next question is g to come from Chip Brown chip go ahead qu what is what is a a finish to the Peach Bowl like you had fourth and 13 and then turning right around hitting Gunner for the touchdown then hitting Matt for the two-point conversion what what does that do for your confidence and as a quarterback the biggest moment to deliver yeah I think that's you know it's it's awesome for everybody around around us and everybody around me and you know whenever you know we had our backs up against the wall for sure in that game you know fourth and 13 you know in a moment we had to have it and you know Matt made a great play um on on a double move and you know I think that that single play allowed us to to regain momentum and and go on to to win the rest of that game and it's definitely huge for for our confidence just cuz you know being in those type of moments those God of habit moments and and coming out with a win is is huge and what what has to happen against Ohio State what you know what kind of performance does the offense need to have for you all to pull off this win yeah I mean we just got to go play our game and execute at a high level and you know have first and second down wins that will ultimately lead to Shorter third downs and more manageable third downs and if able to do that then the the drive will continue to work down the field and then you know obviously we have to score in the Red Zone field goals I don't think we'll get it done your next question is going to come from Kurt blls Kurt go ahead qu if you size up the Ohio State Defense and especially your old friend Jack Sawyer uh what stands out what jumps out at you I know they had 12 sacks in the last two games so how would you assess them well I think that they're a really high effort group and and they play super hard and you know they're coached really well and whenever you have coaches like that that that put the schemes in that they have and you know it's they create you know mismatches and and they create you know one-on ones that you know they do a good job of of um you know Max iing every opportunity that they that they get and you know I think they do a really good job of covering on the back end I think they're just a really good overall defense your next question is gonna come from Sam Khan Sam go ahead hey Quinn uh when you first got to Ohio State I think it was in the middle of training camp you get reclassified can you kind of talk about kind of what the motivation was to arrive then and what the challenge was like joining the team at that juncture kind of in the middle of camp yeah well um I guess one of the main things was that there was that I don't know if you guys remember or not but the Texas legislature
wasn't going to allow High School football players to be paid and you know me and my family had a pretty big opportunity in front of us that you know we felt that it was a good a good decision for for me to go on and you know forego my senior year and enroll early at Ohio State and you know have the opportunity to to have some some good money uh in our pockets as a family and um sorry what was the back end of that question yes just uh it in getting to the team in the middle of Camp I imagine that was the challenge what was that like yeah no it was it was definitely definitely had to grow up super fast um you know as you know fall Camp is not easy and um you know going from a high school schedule to where you know you're practicing after school whatever it is practicing before school and you know for me to kind of going in the middle of fall camp and um you know practice at a college level was definitely uh a shock for sure um but again I'm just super thankful for my opportunity that I that I had up there you you mentioned your support system here and being closer to that was it difficult to be away from them as you kind of went through that transition there and and not getting to play as much yeah you know it's definitely tough whenever you know I've never really been a backup in my life and you know obviously CJ was you know very much deserving to to be playing for sure and you I'm a young kid you know um but you know it's tough whenever you're supposed to be a senior and you know you see all your all your buddies who you grew up with you know still playing football and you know I'm just um sitting obviously because know I wasn't prepared to to go play a game you know I just got in the middle of fall camp but you know going back to it I think again it was just just a shock for me to to to go into uh going from high school level to college level we're gonna get a few extra minutes with Quinn and we're gonna get in as many questions as we can but not all of them next one is GNA come from Danny Davis go ahead hey Quin now that you've had a chance to kind of look over the film and reflect on it what stands out about that fourth and 13 play and where do that kind of rank on your personal favorite plays um of your call time and Texas yeah well I mean it's definitely up there for sure but um I don't even think I watched it on film to be honest with you you know just straight we were straight to Ohio State your next question is going to come from Donovan bridge for go ahead hey Quinn Donovan bridge for txa and 24 news what do you think will be the key to setting the tone early against Ohio State and how important is it to get a fast start in a game of this magnitude and can you kind of tell me about like the chemistry how you were talking about earlier of the offense and how that'll play into the execution yeah well um you know I think is if we go out and just play our game get completions early and um just continue to have first and second down wins I think we'll be in a good spot to where we want to whenever SAR wants to call those shots downfield we'll be in a good enough spot to where he's comfortable enough to to call those shots or whatever it is and um you know the chemistry off the field definitely helps on the field for sure because you know just the relationship and the Rapport that we've all built together carries on to the field you know we want to play for each other we want to play for to the guy to our right and our left it just adds that you know extra extra motivation if if it's needed we got time for two more questions for Quinn first is g to come from Eric Henry go ahead Eric afternoon Quinn uh just want to revisit that fourth and 14 uh we spoke with Matt after the game and he said that you were kind of the calming presence in the Huddle I'm just curious how important is it for you as the quarterback to be that calming presence not you know no disrespect to Jake or kelvin or guys like that who El here are great players
but how important is it for you as the quarterback to be that calming presence for everybody yeah I think that's huge for for the quarterback to be that guy who's going to be calm within the storm and just a guy to kind of rely on and you know I I I picture it as when I want when when I when I see a receiver an old lineman a running back tight end look at me I want them to see the calmness and hear the calmness in my voice and you know just see like oh he's calm like you know we got this we're we're we're good you know if he's comfortable I'm I'm going to be comfortable and you know I just want to be that guy that just kind of that example for for other guys who you know might be a little nervous for the for the situation or for the moment but you know it's the guys that make the plays around me your final question is g to come from Joey Kaufman go ahead Joey when as far as um the things you learned in your semester at Ohio State is there anything is there anything specifically or anything that's carry over from your time under coach day that you feel like was a good habit or something you learned about football or or just light that's carried over yeah well I mean going back to it again I think that they did a really good job of preparing for from week to week and that's like the first time that I really got to see it firsthand at at this level you know how to watch film and and how to prepare for the game for the upcoming game and um you know because obviously it's different from from the high school level you know um and getting to see that first hand I think was was awesome for me ...

ESPN insider suggests massive NFL Draft change before Arch Manning becomes eligible
Tumblr media
Arch Manning’s junior season at Texas will be under a heavy spotlight this upcoming college football season, and many believe he's the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy and become the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. It’s not a certainty Manning will decide to go pro next year, but he does have the option to do so being three years removed from high school. If he does, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter says the league should borrow from the NBA and host a draft lottery. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMThe NBA’s draft lottery is designed so teams can't tank a season for the first overall selection in the following year’s draft. Though there was debate Monday about the Dallas Mavericks being awarded the first pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, they had just a 1.8% chance of getting the pick. Granted, NBA teams still try to lose to increase their percentage of winning the first pick in the lottery. But the process still works, and Schefter agrees with the NBA’s decision not to incentivize losing altogether.ARCH MANNING HYPE BEGINS AS EARLY MOCK DRAFTS GET RELEASED BEFORE 2025 SEASON"The more I think about it, the more I think the NFL should be in that business," Schefter said on ESPN Radio’s "Unsportsmanlike." "They don’t want teams to tank. They don’t want teams to lose. We had a couple situations last year where, in the last game of the year, the Patriots are putting in Joe Milton. I’m not telling you they’re trying to lose, but they certainly don’t want to win."Milton did lead the Patriots over the Bills in Week 18, 23-16, but Buffalo sat most of its starters for the playoffs. Still, Schefter’s idea is one that might catch on."If nothing else, if the NFL were able to implement a lottery system, they’d have one more night of ratings," Schefter said. "They’re doing shows for everything else. Why would there not be a draft lottery show? That would rate huge. Could you imagine a year where there is a top quarterback prospect or the year Arch Manning comes out? They put that in primetime, a half-hour special primetime NFL Draft Lottery. Come on, it's a home run."With Quinn Ewers drafted by the Miami Dolphins, Manning is the presumptive starter for the Longhorns for the 2025-26 college season. He has flashed his talent in games Ewers was hurt or Texas was up big, but he’s never had to lead the team through a full season. Manning hasn’t hinted one way or another regarding his draft status for 2026.. Follow Fox News Digital’s sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter. Gallagher Premiership Rugby: Exeter Chiefs 20-15 Bath

Gallagher Premiership Rugby: Exeter Chiefs 20-15 Bath
Exeter Chiefs were made to sweat right until the final moments in recording a welcome Christmas Eve Premiership win over Bath at a blustery Sandy Park
Sandy Park plays host to Exeter Chiefs v Bath Rugby in Round 13 of the 2022/23 Gallagher Premiership on Christmas Eve. Chiefs come into the match following impressive back-to-back wins in the Heineken Champions Cup while Bath lost home and away in the Premiership Rugby.
First-half of attempts from Dave Ewers and Henry Slade and Joe Simmonds’ 10 factors off the tee gave Chiefs the lead, after Joe Cokanasiga’s early Bath rating. Bath stiffened up their set-piece after the smash, and had been rewarded whilst Niall Annett mauled over for a strive.
MATCH SUMMARY – Exeter Chiefs 20-15 Bath Rugby
Bath Rugby had to settle for a losing bonus point against Exeter Chiefs but it could have been a lot more.
Joe Cokanasiga and Dave Ewers traded scores in the first quarter before Henry Slade’s try and Joe Simmonds’ boot put Exeter 20-10 up at half-time. The brilliant Niall Annett, who had to play almost the whole game due to an injury to Tom Dunn, crossed just past the hour to bring Bath to within five.
All the play was with Bath in remaining 15 and although opportunities were there, Chiefs stood firm to earn the win.
They saved the home side scoreless, however had been not able to similarly breach the line. This win takes Rob Baxter’s side up to sixth, leapfrogging Northampton, at the same time as Bath stay 2d bottom following successes for London Irish and Newcastle the preceding evening.
If Baxter became seeking out signs and symptoms that Exeter Rugby had rediscovered their mojo at the returned of European bonus factor wins, it became truly gift within the shielding mettle they confirmed in the final phases of this come upon.
Premiership table
Bath had rallied magnificently in the second 40, kicking to corners and the usage of line-outs to really dig at the heart of the Chiefs returned-line.
But Exeter stood firm even if they conceded a five-metre scrum with seconds left on the clock, and did no longer wilt inside the face of repeated drives before a relieving penalty sealed the points.
At the other give up, Exeter’s in advance tries had been more the end result of graft than craft, as Ewers powered over on the back of select-and-move surges and Slade’s rating accompanied a close-variety charge-down.
Bath commenced with the aid of scoring a high-quality attempt when a Louis Schreuder ball to the left wing was batted returned interior in one motion through Cameron Redpath for Cokanasiga to dive in.
And having compelled their way again into the competition, they were rewarded while Annett, an early alternative after Tom Dunn changed into forced off following a failed head damage assessment, finished off a close to full-group maul to make matters thrilling.

But after three instantly wins in the autumn, lower back-to-again Premiership Rugby defeats keeps Johann van Graan’s aspect down at the incorrect stop of desk.
Bath director of rugby Johann van Graan told
I’m gutted. Exeter Chiefs are a team I respect a lot and we had an opportunity in the end to beat them here. To come up one metre short in the context of the game is gutting.
The charge down was a key moment in the game, seven points for them, but I’m really proud of the way we fought tonight. Credit to the Chiefs as well, I thought it was a class game. Conditions played their part, we had the first 40 against the wind and they had it in the second.
We’re getting better, we want to become tough to beat and we certainly were.

Wine Country Sonoma Valley
New Post has been published on https://1q44.com/2020/06/12/sonoma-valley/
Wine Country Sonoma Valley
Tumblr media
Winemaking and Sonoma Valley region of Northern California known premium wine-growing region. Learn about the history of the region.
History on Sonoma Valley
The historical backdrop of Sonoma truly starts with Agoston Haraszthy. Agoston Haraszthy, a Hungarian worker, carried near 100,000 grapevine cuttings from Europe, (for the most part vines from Hungary) to the territory. Before Haraszthy, practically every one of the vines planted the Mission assortment.
His underlying thought was to plant in San Mateo and San Francisco. In any case, the chilly, foggy mornings made him look for sunnier land for his grapevines.
At the hour of his initial plantings, the land was modest in Sonoma, selling for as meager as $6 per section of land. In time, because of his prosperity, costs moved to $150 per section of land. Agoston Haraszthy likewise merits credit for his viticulture and winemaking progresses.
Following the European custom, he didn’t inundate, he dries cultivated. Agoston Haraszthy required similarly invested individuals who shared his energy. He started getting the message out of his prosperity. Agoston Haraszthy contracted both Charles Krug and John Patchett.
More History On Sonoma Valley
By 1860, Haraszthy possessed in excess of 5,000 sections of land. In 1862, with a complete generation assessed to be near 15,000 cases, he was at that point effectively packaging Zinfandel.
Other berries assortments planted in his vineyards included Riesling, Traminer, Fire Tokay, Dark Morocco, and Sultana. During the 1860’s the most famous California wines comprised of white wines, sweet wines and later, shining wines.
By 1870, they were creating their adaptation of Champagne. The Buena Vista shimmering sold for the royal whole of $1.00. While this wasAgoston Haraszthy was not by any means the only pioneer in Sonoma during those early days.
The start of the 20th century Business of Wine:
This was a period of development. 1904 saw the production of Beaulieu Vineyards by Georges de Latour. Before the buy by Latour. The property is known as the Ewer and Atkinson Winery.
This was a lot for America to expand. Overproduction and the absence of interest because of a downturn were at fault. This prompted the formation of the Wine Relationship in 1894.
The wine Relationship as an exchange bunch attempted to raise costs and requests. The inevitable outcome demonstrated to help the Napa Valley become America’s most noteworthy district.
Occurred on the grounds. Quality gauges authorized. Makers had the option to charge more cash. Marks expressing vineyard planted on a slope or the valley floor. The Mission berries quickly supplanted with better European berry assortments. The quality was improving and this helped cultivate requests.
The Destruction of the Sonoma Valley Winemaking!!
Tumblr media
The Volstead demonstration, also called Restriction, which banned the deal and generation of mixed drinks, annihilated the industry. It additionally hurt state and Government charge incomes, as assessments on liquor were high. Compensate for lost income.
Deals’ charges gathered by the states. With exceptional grants from the Forbiddance Division. A few makers permitted to make cognac during Preclusion. To endure, the bigger organizations sold grape squeeze in barrels with overwhelming measures of S 02, otherwise called Sulfur dioxide. A great many people just surrendered, relinquished their territory, and enabled their vines to kick the bucket.
A clever way around the Volstead Act
The raisin cakes sold with express directions on how not to enable the item. Despite the fact that berry costs immediately heightened, this was insufficient to keep the business above water. Disallowance of the rule until the eighteenth Amendment to the Constitution revoked in 1932.
Authorized to make wine in America. By 1933, under 100 remained! A couple of cultivators made due by selling their natural products as table grapes. When Preclusion finished. Alicante Bouschet, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Grenache, Cinsault and Carignane the most famous red grapes planted. Riesling and Muscat of Alexandria were likely the most common white grapes in the vineyards.
Sonoma Valley comes of age with new winemaking:
The historical backdrop of Sonoma shows that it created along a similar way as Napa Valley until Disallowance. Be that as it may, from that point onward, the area fell behind. In 1957, Sonoma Region planted with field mixes made of a bunch of various grapes.
A great part of the credit for planting the right grape assortments goes to James Zellerbach. James Zellerbach established Hanzell vineyards and started planting Pinot Noir.
Joseph Swan and Joe Rochioli followed in the strides of Zellerbach. The Pinot Noir clone made by Joseph Swan stays well known today. Sonoma conceded AVA status. There 18 one of a kind AVAs perceived in Sonoma.

The All Blacks World Cup selection !
Tumblr media
The All Blacks made significant strides in 2022 towards finding the 33 players who will jump on a plane to France next year, with many experienced campaigners potentially on the outside looking in after the turbulent season.
The coaching shake-up that saw new assistants Jason Ryan and Joe Schmidt join the All Blacks staff has altered the arc of a few playing careers, propelling some into the frame whilst others have slipped in standing.
With nine months to go until the start of the tournament, there is sure to be one or two late bloomers burst into contention and injuries will always play a role in the final selections.
For the All Blacks, the backs for the World Cup squad are far more settled with most of the positions already secured, while it is the forwards that offer the most uncertainty.
The All Blacks who are on the World Cup selection bubble after 2022
The positional group that saw the most change in 2022 was the front row, once new forwards coach Jason Ryan arrived the All Blacks he swiftly introduced new props and a new rake.
The new trio of Ethan de Groot (24 years old), Samisoni Taukei’aho (25) and Tyrel Lomax (26), all in their mid 20s, started most of the tests following the first loss to South Africa and as such are expected to remain the first choice front row heading into next year barring a colossal form drop or injury.

White Dog Roses
White Dog Roses
Behind the monastery lies a garden, That belongs to the old, noble family Of Capri,  to Nikola Vuoto. And you must go through his garden, If you want to get to the Saracen tower, The Marelatto, that clings to the side of a cliff. But if you are careful, stranger, you can climb up On a steep goat path that leads down to the sea: And throw heavy stones at Vuoto. Be careful as well in the rock tower, If you step on the wrong flagstone, You will plummet down into the blue waves. —Until you are there take off your shoes, stranger, Lay your stockings aside and take your knife, Scratch your soles and heals, So that the blood lightly oozes: The blood will cling to your feet And to the smooth stones of the Castiglione. You only need to climb a little higher And you will see growing on the steep cliff walls A bush of white dog roses. Stick to it, stranger, look only at the roses, Don’t cast one look down below, Where the blue sea temptingly cavorts, Where many blonde German youth have already Dashed out their brains on the salty rocks, Mixing red blood with deep blue. —Oh, I lift my clear headed gaze, To greet the sun in the sea, rejoicing, Rejoicing, as I pluck my white roses! II If you climb up a few steps from the piazza, You can see Santa Teresa, The palace of Bourbon times. Just ask there for the Signore, And they will lead you into a cool hall, Everyone knows the invalid Herrn of the Villa. In earlier days he rode on fast horses, A leader of one of the lusty dragoons That rushed charging through the fields of France. In earlier times he fought well with a sharp saber, Which he waved in front of his squadron Of Italians, giving the order to attack— But today he goes on his way sedately, In the most beautiful place on this beautiful earth, Living for his art and for his dreams. Stranger, if you see his pale cheeks, Greet him from a German poet, Whom he once led through his hall, Who loved the fine features of his head, His long narrow hands, And the deep silence of his villa. III Slowly I went back to Santa Teresa, I carried my white dog roses Into the coolest of its cool halls. I carried water in a polished lava vase, In the deep silence of this villa And sat alone with my white roses. Strange!—my dog roses laughed, In the wondrous deep silence They chuckled in exalted innocence! But this laugher sounded like crying, —crying without tears, foolish crying, Like the sounds of silly children’s songs, Silly songs, like the “Five Barrisons” Had once sung, at the winter garden In Berlin in front of witty Berliners. The same way Salome danced in the Pomare: —for the head of John the Baptist!— This exalted innocence was cruel! She was cruel, as if even her nerves Felt the sweet tickle of desire, Of wanton thirst, this woman of antiquity, Even though no surge of blood Raced through her thin arms And no light flickered in her eyes. Her cruelty was white as marble, White, like her silky baby soft clothing, White, like my dog roses are! And she shook her alluring little head, Clasped her hands together, leaped, curtsied, And her narrow, pale lips smiled: “Daddy wouldn’t buy me a Bow, Wow, Wow, Daddy wouldn’t buy me a Bow, Wow, Wow. So I’ve got a little cat And I’m very fond of that, But I’d rather have a Bow, Wow, Wow!” —Yes, she sang and her lips smiled, But her laughter sounded like crying, Like the crying of my dog roses. Ask, why are you crying?—then the roses laugh. Through the wondrous deep silence They chuckle in exalted innocence. Laughter without desire and crying without Tears.—their song echoes strangely, Their silly foolish children’s song, Through the cool halls, these thin, Pale dog roses strangely sway, In white exalted innocence. —tell me, why are they laughing?
