Gravity Falls: Diner at the End of the Falls

A mock sequel concept, where Pacifica, after a year of her father basically bankrupting the entire Nortwhest name and putting them into poverty, is forced to work to survive. If that wasn’t enough, an incident has also caused her to see ghosts—all ghosts, not just the level 10s everyone can see—and she’s finding out just exactly how haunted this town is.

Ideas for a GF Lost Legends sequel or well midquel.

1). We get a story that features Ford working together with Dipper and Multi-Bear!

We learn more of their friendship and their interests.

Multi-Bear meets Ford! Him, Multi-Bear, and Dipper become an unlikely trio!

They all work together to find something or someone in The Crawlspace about Ford's past. Maybe also some information of The Oracle!

Also maybe some more flashbacks of Ford's childhood and maybe Multi-Bear shares some of his childhood memories too.

Also their love of the group BABBA and their hit song Disco Girl!

2). The second story can be about Pacifica working at Greasy's Diner.

After her parents lost their mansion for pledging their alliance to Bill. Pacifica has to find work to pay off her parents new house.

While at the start, she's her usually bratty and spoiled self. She slowly learns how to be nice and compassionate to others. Also because her, and her parents aren't wealthy anymore, no one is cowering before her.

Even when Pacifica is mean to her at first, Lazy Susan is is still cheerful and polite towards her, she even lets her stay at her place when her parents are "busy" wallowing in pity.

We also learn a little bit of Lazy Susan's past and why she's nice. Also her becoming Pacifica's grandmother figure.

3). A reconcile story of Old Man McGucket and his son.

We get flashbacks of what's his childhood like and what type of people his family were.

His friendship with Stanford, him giving an axolotl, and more of their friendship during college.

Some flashbacks of him when he was healthier, and his relationship with his son Tate McGucket, along with is ex wife Emma-May.

Maybe even some tension between Ford and Tate for understandable reasons.

4). A story of Wendy during high school, and still having adventures after The Pines Family left Gravity Falls.

She's still the awesome laid-back, rebellious teenager, we know and love, but this time we learn a bit more about her childhood and who her mom was.

We see the relationship between her dad, her younger brothers, and her mom before her disappearance (I like to think she disappeared when Wendy was twelve. Also I believe in this theory)

In the flashbacks, we get to see her dad training her and her brothers for an apocalypse, and her awesome fighting skills!

The origin on how she met Tambry, despite being complete opposites. Also her eventual friendships with Nate, Lee, Robbie, and Thompson.

We also see she still goes on adventures without Soos and The Pines Family. Sometimes she goes on adventures with her friends or brothers.

Maybe even while she's ditching school during a boring trip at the museum, she finds a something about her missing mom.

[As Dipper and Kevin continue to sit around the forest and doing nothing, picnic supplies fall to their location and after everything lands, the two boys emerge from their state of doing nothing and stand up.]

Dipper and Kevin: Praise the Magic Ball! [Victory screech]

[Pacifica stares in shock, as the bug gets up, hits her with a stick and leaves while Dipper and Kevin begin eating and laughing and Pacifica joins them.]

Pacifica: Say, Dipper, that's a lot of food you got there.

Dipper: It's a gift from the Magic Ball.

Pacifica: Everything looks good! Hey, listen, uh, [Laughs] Dip, I... You know, I was just kidding around earlier and I mean, I'm...I'm still part of the club, right? [Dipper eats a cookie and drinking juice] And, after all, the club's gotta stick together and I mean, you know...

Dipper: Paz?

Pacifica: Yeah?

Dipper: Once a member, always a member!

Dipper and Kevin: [Clink their glasses] To the club! [Victory screech]

Pacifica: Yeah [mimics the screech weakly] Now, if you'll excuse me... [Rush for the picnic table] Which should I eat first? The spaghetti? The trukey? The soup?

Dipper: Why don't you ask the Magic Ball, Pacifica?

Pacifica: [Scoffs] Oh, yeah, like that'll ever happen. Right after I consult the Magic Toenail!

[Pacifica prepares to eat, but Dipper and Kevin push the picnic table away from her and block it.]

Dipper: Pacifica! Are you seriously questioning the authority of the Magic Ball? This ball is the one, who gave us this banquet! This copyrighted ball is the cornerstone of this organization!

Kevin: [Whispering] Maybe she's not a member.

Pacifica: [Chuckles] Hey, you guys got it all wrong! I love this, uh, piece of plastic! [Takes the Magic Ball from Dipper] Uh, hello there. Magic Ball, uh, should I have the spaghetti or the turkey?

Magic Ball: Neither.

Pacifica: Oh, then how about the soup?

Magic Ball: I don't think so.

Pacifica: [Becomes annoyed] Can I have anything to eat?

Magic Ball: No.

Pacifica: [Gets angry] No?! What do you mean no?! I'm starving!

Kevin: [Takes the ball from Pacifica] Here, lemme try. Magic Ball, can Pacifica have this yummy, delicious, super-terrific sandwich?

Magic Ball: No.

Kevin: Hmm, can I have this yummy, delicious, super-terrific sandwhich?

Magic Ball: Yes.

Kevin: Awesome! [Vaccuums the sandwich and burps] Sorry, Pacifica.

Pacifica: [Livid while taking the Magic Ball] Give me that! Can I have something to eat?!

Magic Ball: No.

Pacifica: Can I have something to eat?!

Magic Ball: No.

Pacifica: Can I have something to eat?!

Magic Ball: No.

Pacifica: Can't you say anything else but no?!

Magic Ball: Try asking again.

Pacifica: [Hopeful and calm] Can I have something to eat?

Magic Ball: [Sarcastic and insulting] No!

[Pacifica grits her teeth with rage while stammering out of control.]

Dipper: Uh, Paz, are you okay? [Pacifica continues to stammer in rage]

Kevin: Maybe we should ask the ball if she's okay.

Another of my favourite title cards for RTTF. I really like the opportunity to draw characters in different outfits, and I regularly give everyone costume changes in the fic.

I try colouring the characters' pupils when it seems thematically striking, and in this scene - when they're all horrified, with eyes like pindots, it really adds to the overall effect. At least, that's the theory. I'm not a great artist so I just kind of go with what makes sense in my tiny, shrivelled brain.

Of course, though, my favourite aspect is that this one has a rare visual from the ship I personally built, launched and will likely never sink - Kevbel. Because frankly, if there's anything in A Return to the Falls that I consider a masterstroke, it's that.

*hits fantasy blunt* what if Henry grew up with Mabel and Dipper, that would be weird, right, anyway thank you to @soulsinshadow who inspired this and @marypsue who i'm pretty sure i texted about this once or thrice.

The year after the Transcendence, Wendy’s dad got a call. Tyler had picked up the phone, gone pale, then turned to Wendy and said “Go get your Dad- now.”

Dad had never gotten in the habit of carrying a cell- the service in the forest was too spotty, even after all these years- so this meant Wendy had to get in the golf cart and start looking for him.

Tyler was still on the phone when they got back an hour later. He handed the phone to Dad without even a peck on the cheek.

Her father listened. Two minutes in he said, “Yes, of course, bring him here.” He looked at Tyler, who nodded. “Talk to my husband. He can handle the logistics.” Dad practically threw the phone at Tyler, then rushed outside. Wendy went to go follow, but Tyler gently grabbed her arm. “Honey, not right now.”

Outside, her father screamed out load, a roar that shook the windows of the house. Wendy turned to look outside the kitchen window just in time to watch her father uproot a twelve foot pine tree, throw it to  the side, before collapsing to the ground, deflated.

From behind her, finally off the phone, Tyler said. “I’ll take care of him Wendy.”

(left unspoken was ‘That isn’t your job anymore.’ Wendy appreciated it more than she ever could say.)

“Why don’t you get the spare room ready, if you please?”

“For how long?”

Tyler looked outside, at his heartbroken husband. “For good, I think.”

Two days later, Wendy’s cousin Henry came from the hospital to live with them.

It was a weird time, a limbo time.

There were two Stans now. Soos decided to leave town for a bit, to see the world and move in with Melody (though Wendy had a feeling they’d both be back). She figured out that while boys were fun to play with, really though, she liked girls. Tambry and Robbie were still going strong which she was pleasantly surprised about. She still worked at the Shack but the wind had gone out of Stan’s sails which meant the wind had gone out of the Shack’s sails and it all felt sad and diminished.

Above all, there was a Mabel and Dipper shaped hole in town. They should be in Gravity Falls- hell, even as someone as insensitive to all this weird magic shit as Wendy could feel the ache of the town, the loss sucking like a black hole.

But they would be back. She knew it.

And then there was Henry.

No one told her how Henry had ended up in the hospital, and Dad had actually pulled her aside to tell her not to ask. As someone who had been the deputy adult in the house for many years, Wendy was a little miffed at first to not know, but that died the day she met her cousin for the first time, all long limbs far too skinny, and hollow eyes and little round burns still healing.

(Years later, Wendy finally found out what Rita and Arnold had done, to send Henry to the hospital and them to jail.

She gave Dipper a snickers bar each, to make it look natural.)

Henry was a Corduroy all right: red hair, freakishly tall, looked good in plaid.

He read. A lot. He was at the library every other day practically. It was summer vacation, but Wendy had a feeling Henry would do okay in school. He probably wouldn’t have a lot of friends, but neither would he get teased. He was surprisingly good at the house chores, slipping into dish and living room rotation seamlessly. Thankfully he wasn’t a weird fundie like Aunt Rita and Uncle Arnold- Kevin asked the first week if they needed to say grace, for Henry.

Very quietly, but very firmly, Henry said, “No.”

It was the first thing that he had said since he moved int. He proceeded to not say another word for the next eight days.

It was okay. Wendy could be patient, when she wanted to. As a child she would wait for hours, hands outstretched, until birds would finally land on her fingers and eat the seed cupped in her palms.

This was just basically a larger bird.

He read. He helped Dad with the trees, even though it left him pale and shaking with exhaustion when he got back to the house. He took long walks in the woods by himself- sometimes as the mood took him because he would occasionally forget to put on his shoes before leaving. He began to speak, though still only a sentence or two- simple, polite, phrases, nothing more.

But she waited, and she waited, and final, one day as they were cleaning up after dinner, Wendy casually said, “You don’t have to go out with Dad, you know?”

“I beg your pardon?”

“Out in the woods. I mean, Dad won’t say no to the help and you get a cut of the score but-“

“Wendy, I apologize for interrupting, but did you say that I get… a portion of your dad’s pay?”

She couldn’t help but start a bit. “Uh yeah? You’re out there helping, of course dad will throw you a bone. He doesn’t get paid until next week but I’m pretty sure you’ve earned at least a hundo-“

“Hundo?”

“… hundred or two hundred dollars.”

“Oh.” It was odd, for someone as big and tall as Henry, to have a voice so soft and quiet. “But… I don’t have to?”

“Nah.” Wendy was going to go on a bit more, but then she looked at Henry, looked at how pale he was.

Realized that he wasn’t shaking and sweating when he got home from lumberjacking because he was tired.

“No one is going to force you to do something you don’t want to do here, Henry,” she finally managed to say.

“The Bible says to honor thy mother and father.” Henry paused. “The brother of thy father I guess but the point still stands.”

“But do you still believe that? Like, really?”

He was deadly quiet. But finally he said, “No.”

Without warning, Henry got up and went outside- again without shoes.

But he began to talk more after that.

The two make up and hug after letting down their walls. Isabela becomes concerned for Mirabel after she goes missing after the destruction of Casita. Isabela joins her family in looking for her.

Snakes and Stairs

[Dipper and Kevin are in the Mystery Shack in Dipper's room while having a board game on the floor.]

Dipper: Man, I'm sure glad your dad told us that the word we've been using was a bad word.

Kevin: Yeah, me too. Classy sophisticates like us should never stain our lips with cursing.

Dipper: Yea, verily. Now, let's play a nice and wholesome game of Snakes and Stairs.

Kevin: Oh, boy! I love this game!

Dipper: [Rolls the dice] Come on! Mabel needs a new pair of shoes! [Throws the dice, which shows snakes]

Kevin: Ooh, snakes. Too bad, Dip. You gotta ride the snakes.

Dipper: Darn. [Moves his game piece to a snake]

Kevin: My turn! [Rolls the dice and throws them, showing stairs] Awesome! Stairs! [Moves his game piece to the stairs] Up, up, up!

Dipper: [Rolls the dice] C'mon, stairs, stairs, stairs. [Throws the dice and sighs] Snakes again.

Kevin: My turn! [Rolls dice and throws them] Stairs!

Dipper: Stairs, stairs, stairs. [Throws the dice] Seriously?! Snakes?!

ALRIGHT FUSION THOUGHTS IN COMING

fusion can be both platonic and romantic!! It just depends on a gems relationship with one another — ITS JUST FROWNED UPON like in the show — fusion with the same gems is fine, but if it’s two or more different gems , it’s very hush hush because of their hierarchy

OH and and — some of these fusions take names from already existing gems — so there’s fused gems (ex. — fused opal), and then regular gems ( ex. — opal )

ONTO SCTUAL FUSIONS

Regina and Roy! — Very slightly taller, with two sets of eyes — not entirely stable! Not because they don’t like eachother, but because they have such stubborn heads that hold hefty opinions, they find it hard to balance themselves in Rhodolite BUT they do work together if they can let their guards down!

Regina Regan and Rachel — SOOO CUTE they are very surprised by their own fusion! They were just hanging out and they were so caught up in the moment, they all fused! They’re surprisingly balanced, more stable than Rhodolite — they become a bicolor kunzite!

Roy Ross and Robert — similar to the skirtz! They were having fun and got so lost in eachother that they fused into tanzanite — balanced but not as balanced as the skirtz — they have so much fun though — they run rampant in town /silly

Marco and Kevin — my sillies.. they were so sentimental with one another, carefully holding one another and they just. fused, without a second thought. — they became a hematite! — they are so stable too!! You would think Kevin would be so freaked out because of something that happens, but Marco is able to keep him steady and keep their fusion stable — Kevin loved flying like this :]

Roy and Lottie — A red spinel! — they were very surprised when it happened… it was during one of Lottie’s melt downs surprisingly, just holding eachother and they just synced — it doesn’t last long though — they’re not stable and struggle to not butt heads together because of their personalites, but they try!! — Roy loves how tall they become

Corduroy and Gregor — they were kissinggggg /silly — a rainbow moonstone! — incredibly stable once they get over the initial shock, they just compliment eachother so well /aff
