Terrible that I should out myself like this but
150,989
friendly reminder that the stats mean absolutely nothing too :) the fic with 151k+ of hits has been on ao3 since 2011, the fic with 35 is a Gen one shot that was so much more fun conceptually to write
Fic writers, put in the tags what the difference in hits is between your most and least viewed fics. Mine is 7,720 (7,779-59).

I feel compelled to say this to newer trek fans - specifically new k/s shippers invested in their relationship on snw - kirk and spock are never going to be a couple and kiss on your tv screen.
i’m saying this from a place of love as one of their biggest shippers. spock is paramount’s golden boy - he will never sleep with men because of that. every new iteration of spock becomes more and more heterosexual for that reason. the sooner you accept that, the easier you will breathe. the more you will enjoy what we do get.
just enjoy the subtext (it’s there and will always be there) and know in your heart of hearts that their love transcends paramount+

I love one of the undersold truths of Tumblr where it doesn’t matter what you do, you’ll always end up mutuals with a Trekkie

“In 2024, Spock and Kirk reunited. Across life and death, across timelines and universes, they always find their way back to each other. They are written in the stars, inevitable as gravity, eternal as the cosmos.
And then Bashir and Garak kissed with tongue in Lower Decks.”
“Okay, Grandma, let’s get you to bed…”

aos is fascinating to me just because of how stupidly self-destructive aos kirk can be. that man is a ticking time bomb at all hours of the day. aos spock, bless him, is, um. not much better. two little lemmings leaping over one another to be the one risking their life this week, and leaving poor mccoy with an eternal tension-headache from trying to keep those two idiots from bleeding out.

What is with you? (Spock)
Tumblr media
Description: When Spock suddenly becomes human, he can’t hold back.
Warning: Smut
Word Count: 1,357
Request: If you feel like writing smut/fluff Spock (SNW)/reader, I would be eternally grateful ❤❤❤ it seems I've read everything in the tag....
Y/N was so confused when Spock tried attacking Sam Kirk. She had always assumed that he hated the man but Spock did pretty good with holding himself back. The other officers had to hold him back as Sam kinda looked scared. Y/N’s eyes were wide at the sight. Spock never acted out like this before. “Control your boyfriend.” Kirk told her and got up to leave the room.
Y/N rolled her eyes. Spock wasn’t her boyfriend. They were good friends and while she wished that they were dating, they were not. “Spock, are you okay?” Y/N asked once Sam left the room. Yeah I don’t know everything about me is changing. I’m human now.” His ears did look human now that he pointed it out and even his hair wasn’t in his usual style.
“So you can’t control your emotions?” She asked, walking up to him. “It appears not.” She nodded. “Well, welcome to being human.” She joked. He chuckled, something he never really does.
The rest of the day was crazy. Spock had no idea what his body was doing and Y/N felt so bad. He went on and on about wanting to kick Kirk’s ass. “He sucks.” Y/N agreed with him. “And he spreads rumors about us.” Y/N points out. Spock looked at her confused, “Rumors? What kind of rumors?” Y/N sighed.
Does Spock really have no idea? “That we are dating.” He didn’t look mad about that rumor after all. He almost looked pleased? “I know it’s not the worst rumor that could be going around.” She said and he agreed. “But don’t let him get to you, Spock.” She told him but she had no idea how different and hard this was for him. “That rumor is not bad compared to what others have said about me.” He looks down. He was getting sad. Y/N set down her fork and grabbed his hand. He was no longer Vulcan so it shouldn’t matter. But she almost missed the dark look in his eyes as he looked at their hands.
“Spock, don't listen to them. Those people suck and are racist.” She tells him and gives his hand a squeeze. He looked up at her and the sadness that was in his eyes for not even a minute was gone. It was replaced with something that she wasn’t aware of. “Spock, are you okay?” She asked. She pulled back her hand just for him to grab it again. “So uh tell me Y/N. What do you think of these rumors of us?” She looked a little surprised by his actions and words.
“Uh well, like I said it’s not the worst rumor that could be spread.” She said and she noticed the grip he had on her hand. “What about you?” She asked him. “I think that rumor shouldn’t even be a rumor.” She nodded. “It should be true.” Her eyes widened at her friend. “Spock…” Before she could finish her sentence he was on her side of the table with his lips on hers.
Her eyes widened during the kiss and she pulled back. “Spock, what is with you?” She asked. “I’ve held back for years but now since I’m human I can longer do that.” He almost growled and kissed her again. “Spock, maybe we should take this back to your quarters.” She looks at the people watching them.
The second they are in his quarters and the door is shut he nearly pounces on her. Her back was against the wall and his lips practically eating her up. He had her pinned to the wall as his lips left hers to kiss down her neck. She closed her eyes and let out a pleasured sigh as he bit and nipped at her neck, definitely leaving a mark or two. His hands pulled up her shirt and he sank to his knees.
She watched as he kissed down her stomach and to her pants. He looked up at her and smirked. The dark look in his eyes no longer made her nervous but made her wet. He pulled down her pants and smirked at the sight. She had forgotten to wear panties. “Fuck.” She whispered but he chuckled. “That’s perfect.” He said and ran a finger to gather her wetness. She held her breath. His eyes darkened at the gooey substance on his finger. She was really wet.
She looked down at him with pleading eyes, silently begging him to do something. He looked up at her pleading eyes and put his finger in his mouth. He moaned at the taste and his eyes nearled rolled back. Her jaw dropped as he did this. “Spock.” She whispered to the man. “You taste so good.” He grunted and she threw her head back against the wall. As she did that he rubbed his perfect nose against her clit.
She gasped and felt his hot breath against her wet pussy as he chuckled. Both his hands rubbed up her thighs to get a good grip on them. He gave an experimental lick on her clit and her hands went down to grip his hair. He took that as a good sign and began eating her out like a hungry man. Her moans filled his quarters and she gasped as she felt one of his fingers circle her dripping wet entrance.
“Please Spock.” She almost screamed as he teased her hole. Her legs were shaky, almost too shaky as he inserted a finger inside of her. His mouth sucking on her clit. She could barely stand as the pleasure coursed through her body. Spock took notice of this and placed her legs over his shoulder. Before she could let out a sound, he stood up and she was higher on the wall than she was. Spock was tall. If she was to open her eyes she would be able to see all of his quarters. But his tongue and now two fingers pleasuring her was making it very hard for her to focus.
Her thighs were trying to shut as they squeezed around the vulcan’s head but that seemed to excite him and continue his abuse on her pussy. “Spock.” She whined. The whine was very loud and if anyone was outside his quarters they definitely heard it. She felt like she was floating. Being in the air and getting her pussy eaten out was definitely something that needed to happen again.
It was too long until he felt her thighs shake and her pussy squeezing his fingers. Her breathing turned to panting and her whines turned to whimpers. She was close. He added a third finger causing her to gasp his name and release on his fingers and tongue. She was trying to catch her breath as he ate her out like a meal and worked her through her orgasm. It wasn’t long before he pulled away from her and looked up. She was still trying to breathe and her eyes were closed.
He tapped her thigh and her eyes opened and looked down at the man and gasped. His face was covered in her slick as were his fingers. “Spock, that was amazing! But what the hell has gotten into you?” She asked. He helped her onto the ground, ignoring the question and kissed her.
She moaned as she tasted her sweet juices on his tongue. She never really thought about how she would taste but she totally understood why he was going at it. She pulled away and looked at him. He was still Spock but something was different about him.
Not just him fully being human but the look in his eyes. She was ready to drop to her knees and repay the favor but a chime was heard through the quarters that someone was at the door.
Spock rolled his eyes and asked who it was. M’Benga and Christine found the cure. “Be down there in a minute.” He yelled out. Y/N tried to stand up so he could go get fixed but he kept her on her knees. “I’m not going anywhere until you repay me.” He winked at her.

Welcome to the world's worst love square. T'Pring/Stonn-Kirk/Spock. I said 'Starfleet' here, I meant The Federation begins an investigation after receiving a report from Starfleet. Because you know what? I think the Federation would be concerned about a planet among them where women legally can't get a divorce unless their potential husband is killed. Which means, functionally, divorce is illegal for women. More in depth relationships under the cut!
Kirk & T'Pring: He feels bad for T'Pring because he recognizes the law is unjust and he sincerely hates the position she was put in but, emotionally, still resents what they were put through and it bleeds into his interactions with her. Doesn't like her extremely cold attitude (not mean, just completely absent of emotion in a way neither Spock nor Stonn are.) Doesn't realize he's jealous of her marriage to Spock, it's subconscious and he won't believe you if you tell him. Plus, he isn't envious of how it was forced on her. T'Pring feels nothing for or against Kirk. She assumes Spock has romantic feelings for him but does not tell him, will not tell anyone. It's only an assumption. If anything, she finds interacting with him slightly irritating and confusing - has never been around Humans before and frequently comes off as rude or standoffish. Kirk & Stonn: Kirk and Stonn are both protective and resent the other, perceiving the other's protectiveness of THEIR beloved as being a slight against THEIR beloved. You get me? In reality, they're both similar and good men who'd do anything for the people they care about. [They were both willing to gamble their life for a chance to save their beloved]. Stonn has a tendency to rile him up intentionally, though it's difficult to tell that's what he's doing from an outside perspective. Stonn talks the most to Kirk - he's usually very taciturn. Spock & Stonn: Spock views Stonn as an idiot taken in by T'Pring to some extent. Projects onto Stonn a lot, negatively. Even traits he admires in others (say, Kirk) are negative when attributed to Stonn. Some tease this might be jealousy over T'Pring - it VERY MUCH is NOT. Stonn is much keener than most give him credit for and is usually able to say at least one thing that sticks with him when he does speak at length. Stonn DID view Spock neutrally but it's all been downhill since that little "You might find having isn't so pleasing a thing as wanting" jab. Kirk & Spock: They love each other so so so so so much but both think the other could never return their feelings. Spock has known about his feelings for Kirk for a long time (and is ashamed of them) but Kirk didn't recognize he had feelings for Spock at all until literally right now and even now he hasn't ACCEPTED it. They're...it's...a work in progress. T'Pring & Stonn: They love each other an appropriate amount for two Vulcans which is (eternally forever I'd kill for you I'd rather be forced to marry another man than risk your life) not at all. T'Pring & Spock: Spock subconsciously views T'Pring as sorta Vulcan made manifest. She is flawlessly, unflinchingly logical. Has a tendency to assume things of her because of how terribly his Vulcan peers treated him in the past. However, he doesn't hate her and acknowledges the laws she's subject to are unjust. A bit bitter over being made to fight Kirk to the death - while he understands why it happened and that T'Pring didn't have any malicious intent it still bothers him....For Some Reason. (For the same reason T'Pring couldn't risk Stonn's life) An outside observer wouldn't think Spock had this much complex thought wrapped up in T'Pring. T'Pring views Spock as her captor by law. It is as negatively neutral as that. Before this incident, she viewed him absolutely neutrally. She is a bit...stuck, on that little "Having v Wanting" jab. It's introduced a certain negativity to her opinion. Also, having to be legally married to him due to a trick Mccoy pulled is...conflicting. On one hand, she's glad no one died and that so much potential good is coming out of this. On the other hand, it's (of course) attracting a lot of unwanted attention and because of that trick, they're still married instead of her being free. Mccoy is also here. He's not part of this relationship chart but he IS there and he's doing his part for women.

Discussing the crew swap as Saavik goes to the Klingon ship and Spock to the Romulan one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
David's loss mentioned (T-T) she still misses him- Saavik and David friendship is so important to me!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dr. McCoy and Kirk being worried for Saavik is adorable. She ask confirmation from Spock, and its great to see he is fully confident in her.
I really like that David's murder isn't minimized, it really sets the table for Kirk's reluctance in the VI movie, which twists the knife deeper in the wound.

Okay, hear me out. TOS 4 is the time travel movie. So AOS 4 is the time travel movie, but it's not about whales.
It's about a conversation AOS Spock had with TOS Spock before the latter died, when TOS Spock mentioned that things didn't really go irrevocably wrong in his universe until Admiral Kirk disappeared with the Enterprise-B. AOS Spock wonders what repercussions this has had on his own, somewhat more distressing universe, and when the AOS Enterprise bridge crew finds itself assigned to protect Earth by examining an unstable temporal ribbon that seems to be crossing through the galaxy--well. Spock wonders. Is this the Nexus? They find out soon enough that it is. And since Spock's the first one in, technically, the Nexus gives him what he wants, which is what the Nexus has--the ability to cross universes as well.
Now everyone, out in two groups on separate missions has to resist succumbing to the temptations of the world of the Nexus while they try to rescue Admiral Kirk, making sure his mission is still completed (so as not to destroy anything for the TNG folks' reality) but that he survives, so that they can figure out how to get through the Nexus and pop him back in his universe right as he's supposed to leave on the Enterprise-B. AOS Spock is sure he can figure out those calculations somehow. Some of the temptations are funny, some are sad, but we find out where Uhura and Sulu and Scotty are in their lives, and where they want to be.
Like Spock got to meet TOS Spock, TOS Kirk gets to meet Kirk (and Spock, and McCoy, and eventually the rest of the bridge crew). AOS Kirk learns that the life he's been envious of all this time didn't turn out well in the end because TOS Kirk ran toward duty alone despite what he had, and TOS Kirk learns that a) he could have suffered so much more loss, b) he's just one of a set of infinite possibilities, just like AOS Kirk is, and c) he's been wasting eternity exploring those other possibilities of happiness in the Nexus when he could have been content with what he already had.
He finds out what happened to TOS Spock, and it's agonizing. He sees this weird young Spock and Bones, both of whom could bench-press him, and he misses his Spock and Bones so much that the Nexus starts trying to change the fantasy world, to their detriment. It's only when the crew sticks as close as possible together and all concentrates on wanting the same thing that they're all able to shift the Nexus to their goal. Then Picard shows up. Things get complicated.
We hear, from Generations: And in the end, what did it get me? An empty house...Not this time.
and from Star Trek V: I knew I wouldn't die because the two of you were with me.
I thought you said men like us don't have families.
I was wrong.
TOS Kirk decides that, yes, he wants to leave, and he wants to go back. But they're not entirely sure how to line up Picard's plan and TOS Kirk's plan and the AOS plan and have it all work. It's a lot to figure out.
To simplify things, AOS Kirk decides he's going to volunteer to go die in TOS Kirk's place so that they can return TOS Kirk and at least one of them will have a decent ending, because his own life still feels so uncertain. This seems like it's going to work until his Spock and Bones both read him the riot act. But it's Bones who really goes off.
Karl Urban gets a great speech as Bones about how both Spock and Kirk met their counterparts, a chance which he will likely never be afforded and neither of them learned anything from it. Spock went off and punctured the walls of a universe even though TOS Spock indirectly destroyed AOS Vulcan through it. Kirk is trying to run away and die again because he doesn't know what to do with himself, even though TOS Kirk had an unhappy ending to a good life because at the end he ran away and tried to die again. Bones just tries to pick up the pieces. You don't fix things by tearing them apart, and you don't fix them by tearing yourself apart. You fix them by healing the rift. AOS Kirk's eyes light up. They're going to fix the rift.
They're going to give this random meaningless villain what he wants, throw him into the Nexus, he can have infinite joy, then they're going to seal it and heal it.
After all, AOS Bones says. He had a drink with TOS Kirk at the man's insistence, even though the Saurian Brandy didn't taste like anything, and Kirk told him he could cure anything from a rock to a rainy day. The tasteless brandy? Apparently Bones is the person who can actually perceive that nothing here is real, so he doesn't want anything except for everyone to remain safe.
From Beyond: Better to die saving lives than to live with taking them.
Bones says: Better that no one dies at all. This time, no one dies.
So TOS Kirk and the Bridge crew go with Picard to subdue Soran and honestly, it's not that tough with all of them. Nobody had to die. And as they fix the rift, with TOS Kirk and Picard's Enterprise about to be thrown back into their universe on one side and the AOS Enterprise into theirs on the other, Picard suddenly realizes that he never clarified how they were getting Kirk back to his own time. And how will they explain his status?
TOS Kirk grins. Good thing I know how to slingshot around the sun, he says. And when they report me missing, I'll just say I didn't go in the first place. Clerical error. Who are they to argue with an alive man?
AOS Kirk has so many questions, but the two of them merely salute each other, and then they're thrown back.
Back in his own time, TOS Kirk walks into a Starfleet Academy apartment, and hear him say:
Bones, I heard you got laid up with Andorian flu and Spock was taking care of you, and this I just had to see! How many hypos? Don't let him talk you out of any, Spock. They're all important, every single one, even ones he hasn't heard of.
A pause.
Yes, I know I said Starfleet needed me. I just thought maybe you two needed me more this time.
Back in the AOS universe and Spock's calculations are totally off in getting home, because he didn't account for the gravitational pull of--
Vulcan. The planet that apparently still exists.
TOS Spock still came into their universe--he was always going to live longer than his ties to his Enterprise family. But his actions had been tempered, less destructive, which had clearly resulted in the Enterprise being able to save the planet. They were going to have to find out how.
Not everything had changed, of course. Nero had still been Nero, they had still come together. But Jim only vaguely remembers dying, now, as though it had happened to somebody else. He feels more settled than he ever has before. Some of that's the time travel revision, and some of that's the meeting with his alternate self, and some of that's Bones' yelling. Spock feels a sense of closure. Bones is just relieved that nobody died this time.
Uhura suddenly and quietly alerts them to the chronometer. It's a week before they left, which means there are now two Enterprise bridge crews on Earth, and that they need to lie low for a week to avoid running into themselves.
What should we do, Captain? she asks.
Jim smiles.
Let's go to Yosemite.

Watched The Search for Spock for the first time the other day, and wow this movie is such a tragic love story I’m in awe:
Kirk reflects in his personal log that he feels very uneasy, like a home without the children except even more empty (basically implying that even his “spouse” is gone)
Jim feels that he’s left the noblest part of himself (Spock is a part of him apparently) on the new planet
Sarek automatically assuming that Kirk holds Spock’s katra (why would he assume that if they were just friends)
“Your son meant more to me than you could know. I would’ve given my life if it could’ve saved his.”
Sarek essentially forcing Kirk to relive the worst possible moment of his life, and Kirk tearing up all over again
Tumblr media
Jim saying he has a responsibility to Spock’s eternal soul “as surely as if it was his own” (if this isn’t admitting they’re soulmates idk what is)
Jim directly being told that if he goes through with this, he will never sit in the captain’s chair again which has always been shown as the most important thing to him, yet he completely ignores that and goes to warp speed because now nothing matters more than getting Spock’s soul to its resting place
Even in the middle of an intense confrontation with the Klingons, Jim’s face still betrays his hope and joy after he hears about the “Vulcan scientist [he’s] acquainted with”
Jim BLOWS UP the Enterprise instead of surrendering to the Klingons because he can’t give up on saving Spock now, and barely even mourns since he’s already lost someone more important
Jim demanding that Spock get beamed up and the Klingon captain refusing because he can tell how much Jim wants it/cares for Spock
Jim immediately rushing to Spock’s unconscious body and shielding it with his own, draping Spock’s body over himself in a protective “white knight” stance
Tumblr media
Unlike everyone else, Jim is restless during the fal-tor-pan, wanting to be with Spock but being prevented from doing so and resorting to pacing instead
Jim not even asking about how Bones is faring but immediately wondering about Spock
“I had to do [it]. If I hadn’t tried, the cost would’ve been my soul.”
Sarek even points out that Jim paid with his ship and his son, but Jim genuinely feels it was worth it
Spock, having just been revived, is supposed to leave to get healed but is compelled to turn back — he cannot recognize any of them (not even McCoy who he literally cohabitated in the same body with) except Jim
Spock asking why Jim came back for him, and Jim responding “because the needs of the one outweigh the needs of the many” (the reverse of the Vulcan philosophy—he’s saying it was illogical but he needed Spock back and Spock too needed him)
Spock parroting the “I have been and always shall be your friend” line, then finally identifying him as “Jim”
Jim’s face melts into the biggest smile ever seen on his face, even as he’s tearing up from joy
Tumblr media
Suffice to say, I love this movie and will be considering it a romance with a side of action from now on.

Help me!
I have been making myself absolutely crazy trying to find a spirk fic. It was AOS, different first meeting, where McCoy and Kirk had been mistreated and treated dismissively on the recruit shuttle from Iowa. It was a WIP - only one or possibly two chapters
McCoy's flask was not liquor, it was anti-nausea medication
McCoy threw up on Kirk
There were tree nuts (I believe pistachios) in McCoy's concoction, which caused Jim to go into anaphylactic shock
Bones assisted him in using his epipen
Hendorf (cupcake) convinced the attendants that the injector was a "party injector" and that McCoy and Kirk were troublemakers
They were strapped in instead of helped.
Spock met the shuttle and was the first one that listened to them.
Spock assisted McCoy in getting medical supplies and a place to treat Jim
I am not exaggerating about being driven nuts. I have been through my ao3 history back to a YEAR ago (even though I know I read it since the first of the year). I have combed through the tags that I had been binging fic in. I have combed through the authors that I binged on also. I have been searching every which way on ao3.
I can't FIND IT!!!!!! 😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭
If you help me find this fic, (or point me to someone who can) I will be eternally grateful (there's a dedicated podfic in it for you if you like!). I will be cyber-kissing your feet.
I will also bookmark the fic so I never lose it again, and hug it and squeeze it and call it George.
