My FC leader (Rex) has us all contemplating our latest financial decisions. Cardboard should not be so expensive. Help. I fell asleep last night and dreamt about magic cards. I DON'T EVEN GO HERE OKAY?!

...He's going to make sure I know how to play this game in the next year. The worst part? I'm not entirely unwilling. Still... I made full art magic cards last night of some members from our RP group. What is happening to me?

Anyways. These are dope and I really wanted to share.

THE SEA HAD ALWAYS BEEN HOME TO HER. THE WAVES A SIREN SONG THAT ALWAYS CALLED HER BACK and it was to the docks she’d once called home — (what an interesting word for a place that abandoned her before she could even dream of abandoning it) — that she would return to seek out a flagship that she hoped would come to her aid, infamous as the crew’s captain was.

And what a relief it was to find the ship docked within Limsa Lominsa’s port, given that a trip elsewhere in the hopes of finding the elusive hyur would’ve worn her out far more than she would appreciate. There was something to be said for her luck but maybe, just maybe it would be on her side this eve.

Still, even though she squared her shoulders, there was a hesitance in her as she approached. A merchant ship, maybe, but once known for its illegality, and well, the Captain had many rumours and more attached to her name. Maybe they were like her own — fed by those who had nothing better to do and loved the idea of ruining someone’s life, their livelihood, or maybe there was a kernel of truth to them and she’d end up with a blade against her throat within the bell. How was she to know without seeking out what may possibly be her very demise?

“I’ve come to see Captain @edenfelled, if she is willing to take a visitor.” Nerissa spoke to the nearby dockhand, assured and strong, barely a waver in her voice despite how her insides roiled like the nearby ocean crashing upon the pillars. “I wish to barter a passage on the Wolfsbane, and more but the rest is for her ears alone. Would she be willing to speak with me?”

Even if I don't write him any further than being Kor's first mate/npc I SHOULD talk about Mr. Robince Emsworth because he's one of my favourite ocs that I don't mainline write (anymore), but he brings me such joy.

He is:

The most prim, pompous and polite Elezen you will meet in your life. He came from a fairly high-class Ishgardian family and has yet to abandon the decorum despite being disowned.

He will call you by a formal title even if you try to correct him a thousand times. Kor has. She has even tried to get him to just call her 'Koret' if he's so intent on adhering to hierarchy. No. He will use Madam every single time and she will drag her fingers down her face.

He was disowned for a crime he did not commit! That his family framed him for! So as much as he is ambitious and whatnot as a result of trying to scrape a living for himself, he took one look at her father and was like 'haha. no.'

In her WoL verse, this was why he couldn't help her during Ishgard because he knew returning was setting himself up to be arrested and brought before the tribunal.

He's gay. Kor likes to make fun of him because he probably tripped over himself the first time he got to properly meet Aymeric because he crushed on him from afar in an 'oh that's unattainable but wow he's so pretty' kind of way. Same with Estinien, come to think of it.

They bicker like people divorced three times because they care about each other but will also drive each other insane if they're left in a room together for longer than an hour.

At the same time, however, do not insult one in front of the other. Only they can do that. They're absolutely vicious... but only to each other.

I sure do! I have playlists for pretty much all of my characters, but the degree of songs featured in each varies.

Kor's is my biggest by far. I don't curate it or generally cut songs out. I've had it since she was primarily a WoW character and some of the songs literally run on ✨vibes✨.

I have a LOT of hidden lore when it comes to Kor's Azem, mostly because I am shy™ about her WoL verse. But some people will recognise this screens from my edits; notably with a few more changes in photoshop to get what I want.

This is Kore.

A lot of the Acsians, most notably Elidibus and Emet-Selch, do not refer to her as Kore within the context of ARR-SHB. Rather, if they were to mention her at all, they call her Persephone; referencing the concept of Dread Persephone who ushers winter to the realm when she descends to the underworld. Because she chose to be sundered rather than commit herself to Zodiark, those in the convocation bestowed her an insulting moniker that flies in the face of who she actually was: a steadfast, stubborn woman who wasn't afraid to defy tradition for the greater good. Because she knew knowledge that they did not, and was willing to walk away from it, they believed she was abandoning them to die.

Kore also looks very similar to Koret's sister, Lily — to the point that Kor often believes she is not a shard of Azem. (It's also fun for me when I do screenshot edits: am I posing with Kore or Lily?) It's the sibling trauma. However, Kore and Kor share a similarity that Lily does not, which is they both have amber-coloured eyes. Though it's not always the greatest tell, I have a headcanon that shards these of Azem tend to be born with those eyes more often than not — though there are notable outliers, such as Ardbert. It's not noticeable enough for any Ascians or greater beings to pick it up from the get-go, but a handful have likely recoiled at just how similar the colour is from Kore/Kor.

When I wrote Emet-Selch a bit more frequently, I used a lot of my personal Azem lore for his characterisation. Because of that, he fully believes she's an insulting simulacra bestowed on him because the universe is comical. It's a little jester.

Kore embodies a lot of the mischief Kor keeps buries and is also responsible for a handful of tribes she personally adores: moogles, sylphs and faeries. She was also known to dabble in a lot of creation magic pertaining to the ocean; most notably in the development of octopi, anglerfish and jellyfish. The weirder the better.

To all of you who have an Azem/Ancient design for your WoL/FFXIV OC: I wish you a very can I see them and tell me their names/lore.
