This news surprised me last night.

Lee Changsub graduated after 80 episodes. Kai will be the new MC.

I've been watching Jeongwaja since it first aired back in November 2022. I happened to find this by chance too, when I was on my kdrama slump and had nothing to watch on Netflix. After the first season, I already knew this series will become big— but not to the point where classes were also held internationally, had its own merchandise and mascot, and made impact on universities and students’ life too. This is one of the most successful Youtube series out there.

It made me realize that there were lots of majors out there. Also made me want to study again.

This series got me into liking Changsub, and later on got me into listening and loving BTOB as well. I never thought an idol could be so funny and very idol-like.

I’m going to miss our og ex-convict 🥹 I always loved seeing him get surprise on how the staff introduce their PPLs, or do surprise interviews to students, or see him struggle in class and eventually get the hang of it. Thank you for your hard work, Lee Changsub! You’ve done very well. Thank you for making me laugh.

It had been one of those long days—full of meetings, schedules, and studio hours that blurred together until he could barely remember what time it was. The soft hum of home welcomed him immediately: the faint scent of your floral shampoo lingering in the air, the distant whirr of the heater, and the unmistakable warmth that came with knowing he wasn’t alone.

He moved through the apartment quietly, not wanting to disturb the peacefulness. As he turned the corner into the living room, his steps faltered.

There, on the couch, the two of you lay. You were curled up slightly, one arm tucked under your head, your features relaxed in the serenity of sleep. Next to you—half sprawled over your lap like a lazy guardian—was Guri, his small chest rising and falling with rhythmic ease. One paw rested protectively against your side, like he’d decided it was his job to keep you safe while Changsub was away.

The soft glow of the floor lamp bathed the room in a golden hush. A cozy blanket was tangled around both you and Guri, and there were two mugs on the coffee table—one empty, the other half-drunk, its steam long gone. A drama played faintly on the muted TV, the kind you always put on but never quite finished.

He stood there, completely still, just watching. His chest tightened with a rush of something tender and overwhelming—like his heart had swelled too fast to contain all the affection blooming inside it. This. This was everything. The quiet moments. The small, shared silences. The way Guri’s tail would twitch in sleep whenever he dreamed. The way your face softened, your lips slightly parted, your breathing steady and slow.

He could have taken a photo—immortalized this perfect little scene—but it felt too sacred to capture, like even the click of a shutter would disturb the delicate balance. So instead, he tiptoed closer, kneeling quietly beside the couch. He gently brushed a stray hair from your face and pressed a kiss to your temple, barely more than a whisper.

“You two,” he murmured, his voice thick with warmth, “are the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen.”

Guri stirred slightly, his nose twitching as if acknowledging his dad’s presence. You shifted, instinctively leaning into the warmth of Changsub’s hand, though your eyes stayed closed. That tiny motion alone undid him.

He stayed there a while, just watching—one hand resting gently on your arm, the other scratching softly behind Guri’s ear. The weight of the day melted from his shoulders like snow in sunlight. And in that quiet living room, with the love of his life and his furry sidekick fast asleep, Changsub realized for the thousandth time how lucky he was.

Eventually, he whispered, “I’m home,” even if neither of you could hear it.

But somehow, he knew—you already felt it.
