This is one of few stories where I know exactly what’s supposed to happen and how it’s going to end so I’m able to indulge in art ahead of time 😌 Mari did an incredible job and I love her work 💕

Barton IV was a harsh and unforgiving planet, inhospitable everywhere except beneath the ice, if you could get there. The population was about one sentient per square hectare which made for very few towns and even fewer neighbors. The Vulture’s Spine made up a large portion of the mountain range in the fifth quadrant of the northern hemisphere, named so for the long, ridgelike peaks stretching and winding for miles and inhabited by ice vultures. How the vultures found enough carrion to sustain themselves, no one knew, but locals expected they cannibalized their own once they fell. Their feathers were as thin and razor sharp as the mountain faces, the mountains themselves built of brittle shale and hardened, subzero ice.

It was there that the Empire saw fit to plant Commander Mayday’s crew and tell them to keep watch over the supply depot, so keep watch they did. Outside of fending off raiders from time to time there was precious little to do besides repair equipment (damaged from the cold), maintain the fence and weaponry (faulty and unreliable from the cold), and try to stay warm (due to the aforementioned cold). Some days it was hard to even see the sky, thick clouds and flurries eliminating any scrap of warmth or sunlight they might have had, and the longer time went on, the harder it was to differentiate between day and night anyway.

One question, is there still like, an alternate timeline thing going on? Cus I saw some older stuff abt different versions of smee and such. Just wondering! Thank u!!

Yeee so there’s a Wendy multiverse - which I have up to recently been referring to as alt universes/characters. However they’re actively NOT AUs - bc they interact with the play in pre-canon. 

As an aside - Anything pre-canon to the play, which includes multiverse existence/interactions, and absolutely anything that isn’t actively a scene in the play is a wobbly sort of non-canon canon. Is there a word for that? if there is I’d love to know bc I’m terrible at explaining otherwise. I’m gonna keep calling it pre-canon. 

Anyway because there is magic, the characters physically/literally get transported to each others universes and interact (which is also how we get Seeds/other oc crossovers in ppaw art)! 

Here’s a primer on the ‘verses, which is most easily explained by which Smee is present: 

Walt - the “canon” universe of ppaw, the characters who are the focus of the play (why the content is mostly based on these guys)

Tom - universe with a closer plot to the og play/book. tag is “Bs”, short for !Barries. more grimdark and depressing, but also very homosexual

Mary - literally just the one where they’re all lesbians. tag is “Fs” for !Fem (even tho both F!Hook and F!Smee are both butch lesbians and Hook is transmasc). there’s no plot yet

Ros - the most lighthearted of the bunch! peter as a main character and ally, little to no murder, fun hijinks, etc. tag is “8s”, which came from us calling them “the other hets” -> h8s (”hate” bc we hate hets? lmao) -> 8s). 

All art with the multiverse chars are tagged as “ppawalts” on @hpkn​ :D

Damn frfr. It would be so interesting honestly,, the horrors Sunny sees at night, and the horrors that Mari sees at day. Ough, that would be so fun to do.

BLACKSPACE is the horrors so I will make sure I make the smiles ever so present, and mocking. A big trait of Kel is his smile, and glow. He smiles, but it never reaches his eyes.

They rlly were besties,,,,,,, first friend stuff makes it all the more bittersweet.

The maverick rlly be flirting with the depressed "perfect kid" that works at his family job at night. And the said kid, is like..,, crying and stuff. Happy tears, but also soso confused too- cuz like,, this failguy. This dudenobody(Maverick) rlly be this boyloser's(Sunny) new crush and that's,, a nit wonky must say.

And ough,, ig they did their performance either way? KEL's death was a week before the recital,, had some time but then had to just do it in the day that they had to do it. So ig they still did it, but they stayed more inside their house when it was done and they were finally home. But maybe when the recital was done and stuff, maybe they went to get frosties??

That's what my mom does, or sometimes does whenever I get out of the house n stuff(people do hc that sunny is autistic, no judging, I see myself a lot in him, so uhyeah- but also Mari could be somewhat autistic,, like me and my twin,, yeah).

Overall I think very somber, but still depressing.

Honestly I don't rlly care how they look and stuff(they look hella awesome!! and honestly what I said and I- iugh *ugly sobs*), the skunk 🦨 and the the otter 🦦 (animals cuz I can, the the hair streak the lil man has feels very skunk like /pos).

Sunny's design for me tbh has been soososooso hard for me tbh. I want him in a ripped long skirt, but my guy would totally not dress like that at all(unless new personality, but kinda highly doubt that since mofo would rlly want to stay with "normal" stuff to him).

So tbh, he gives the feeling of a suit kinda fella?? Maybe wears contacts, and if so he wears sea green/yellow contacts. But that's kinda if he wants to try that. Dyes a lil part of his hair as an impulsive choice(color could be red/orange/yellow). Sunny follows dress code, so whatever they have in school he wears it most of the time. Maybe adds a tie or a bowtie(mostly a tie). For his lil gig of spray painting, he wears a kitsune mask that also kinda looks like LONG SNOUT from BLACKSPACE, but also he wears common masks like black masks(maybe medical masks, but he stays away from those since the day Kel dies he was sick and that just reminds him of that time he was very weak and did nothing to save Kel). His clothes for the lil gig, is smth like sukeban, but tbh he just wears his house clothes(if that's what ppl call them sometimes); a jacket, a tank top, shorts, and very long socks. Sunny's hair,, he kinda lets it grow out so he can get a ponytail. But he cuts it off when it gets too itchy and long for him.

Mari and Aubrey do dye their hair together, but only have a fade. Mari also seems like she'll follow dress code. So whatever collage she has, she'll wear whatever they give her most of her time/almost all of the day. Maybe also puts her hair in a braid,, she looks very pretty with a braid,,,, so not all that different, but still different as when she returns home she'll only practice her piano to forget ig?? And also, also. She still bakes! She has a lil part time job at the bakery(so does Sunny, but different shifts. Sunny takes night, while Mari takes day ig??? They wanna make their parents very proud of them, so they focus on studies). Mari's hair is a bit shorter tho,, yea

Aubrey and Basil, the lil cuties,,,, . Aubrey's mom still goes down hill, so basically she gets adopted by Polly(💕). Basil and Aubrey are muscle buddies too,, I just love that idea. They are basically still the same as when they were kids but a lot more mature and older. Basil kinda also joined in dyeing his hair tbh(all of them with dyed hair is kinda nice to me tbh and funny). Maybe a teal color,,, who knows. Smth that goes well with pink, and that's green as well so shrugs.

Aubrey has a more cleaner style of clothes, but still very messy tbh. Oh yeah!! She kinda went with painting as a hobby, or smth like a job! She likes paint.

Basil still gardens, as I think that just makes him,, him yk?? But he does help out on taking care of the town; the littering, trashing, etc. He takes care of that!

Hero is the most disheveled thing ever. Staying inside of his room, only getting out to use the bathroom and eat and do big brother stuff since Sally also plays a big role here! So he basically has long hair, but not too long. His parents take care of him and Sally, and he just- shrugs. Yk?? He stays in his pajamas, until he takes a shower and changes clothes. But he mainly wears home clothes,, some are kinda big on him now, since he's a bit skinny n stuff(still tall tho!). Whenever cooking, mofo tries to burn himself(I thought of this when having the moral orel ep of "numb" in my head n tbh,, he seems like a blorberta to me in all honesty). Trash panda he is

(in HEADSPACE everyone has music inspired stuff on them; Mari is classical, Aubrey and Kel are both hyper/hip-hop, Sunny and Basil kinda give this mysterious kinda horror stuff like Kikuo songs, Vi(stand in of OMORI here) has that LoFi jazz theme to him. They are also based on some foods, that they like/are shown the most with; Mari with bananas and cookies(like a sundae or smth, she has that vibe to her that not many ppl would tbh like but she is sweet like a cookie! And cookies have different types of flavors, etc etc), Sunny with onigiri and apples(he wears a hat in Headspace that has that apple vibe to him and the onigiri is on how simple he kinda is?), Kel with oranges(simple), Basil with carrots and tomatoes(that one scene in Basil's rw fight got me thinking tbh,, and carrots are good for your eye sight! Tomatoes just cuz they are natural in salads and you can grow them!), Aubrey with eggplants and burgers(family life and house wise,, she would really like fast food stuff, and bout that thing of her grilled eggplants too). Music is important to Hero as seen in OMORI, but also he did wanted to be a chef right?? So why not add food??)

Everything is cold, without Kel.

Everything lost it's aura, when He pushed Kel.

Everyone is not happy. Everyone used to be.

Not anymore. Kel is gone. His smile.

His hugs, his recklessness.

Everything about him is gone.

What a horrible older brother, he is.
