Ribuan Peserta Ikuti Tes Jalur Mandiri Polinema

MALANGTODAY.NET - Hari ini (28/7), Politeknik Negeri Malang (POLINEMA) melaksanakan seleksi jalur Mandiri sebagai tahapan akhir penjaringan mahasiswa baru. Dari sebanyak 5660 pendaftar, sebanyak 4452 yang mengikuti mengikuti tes. Namun yang akan diambil, hanya sejumlah 1161. Itupun termasuk pendaftar dari kelas GMF dan PLN. "Seleksi ini, terbagi dalam dua sesi, pagi hari untuk Rekayasa dan siang harinya untuk Tata Niaga. Selain itu juga ada sejumlah 1400 calon mahasiswa dari kelas PLN dan GMF yang ikut ujian," kata Wakil Direktur I Polinema, Supriatna Adhisuwignjo ST MT kepada MalangTODAY.net, beberapa saat lalu. Baca Juga: Polinema Jalin Kerjasama Dengan Divisi Infantri II Kostrad Menurutnya, dari keseluruhan pendaftar, seringkali tidak mengikuti tes karena ada beberapa pertimbangan seperti sakit maupun sudah diterima di kampus yang lain. "Mungkin juga ada kendala-kendala yang tidak kita bisa kita ketahui. Itulah yang menyebabkan proses antara pendaftaran dengan (peserta) tes tidak sama," imbuhnya. Sementara itu, Wakil Direktur IV, Dr Luchis Rubianto LRSC MMT menambahkan bahwa untuk kelas kerjasama sudah pada tahap akhir proses seleksi. "Kelas GMF sudah mendapatkan 48 calon mahasiswa dibagi dalam dua kelas, sehingga minggu depan mereka harus segera daftar ulang. Kalau (kelas) PLN tahap akhir-nya kita masih nunggu beberapa hari lagi," tuturnya. Baca Juga: Mahasiswa Teknik Sipil Polinema Suntikan Ilmu dari PT WIKA Selanjutnya, sebelum memasuki perkuliahan, para mahasiswa kelas kerjasama tersebut akan diikutkan dalam Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan (LDK) di Divif 2 Kostrad. "Kita rencanakan segera masuk ke barak militer selama kurang lebih dua minggu, ini berbeda dengan kelas reguler yang hanya seminggu. Sehingga harapan kita nanti, tingkat kedisiplinan mereka jadi lebih meningkat," tandasnya.

IBM and MTN used IoT to predict threats and combat the poaching of Endangered Rhinos

The data collected from the LoRa sensors is communicated via the LoRa WAN Network Server (LRSC - Long Range Signal & Control) and backhauled over the MTN 3G/4G network. Through the platform, the solution collects animal location information, movement, direction and average speed of travel, along with other data. The data is used by Wageningen University to create approximately 20 rule-based patterns based on the animals’ response to threats. As a result, animals such as zebra will act as sentinels with their response patterns becoming an early warning system to protect the rhinos.
