What is Dataflow?
This post is inspired by another post about the Crowd Strike IT disaster and a bunch of people being interested in what I mean by Dataflow. Dataflow is my absolute jam and I'm happy to answer as many questions as you like on it. I even put referential pictures in like I'm writing an article, what fun!
I'll probably split this into multiple parts because it'll be a huge post otherwise but here we go!
A Brief History
Our world is dependent on the flow of data. It exists in almost every aspect of our lives and has done so arguably for hundreds if not thousands of years.
At the end of the day, the flow of data is the flow of knowledge and information. Normally most of us refer to data in the context of computing technology (our phones, PCs, tablets etc) but, if we want to get historical about it, the invention of writing and the invention of the Printing Press were great leaps forward in how we increased the flow of information.
Modern Day IT exists for one reason - To support the flow of data.
Whether it's buying something at a shop, sitting staring at an excel sheet at work, or watching Netflix - All of the technology you interact with is to support the flow of data.
Understanding and managing the flow of data is as important to getting us to where we are right now as when we first learned to control and manage water to provide irrigation for early farming and settlement.
Engineering Rigor
When the majority of us turn on the tap to have a drink or take a shower, we expect water to come out. We trust that the water is clean, and we trust that our homes can receive a steady supply of water.
Most of us trust our central heating (insert boiler joke here) and the plugs/sockets in our homes to provide gas and electricity. The reason we trust all of these flows is because there's been rigorous engineering standards built up over decades and centuries.
For example, Scottish Water will understand every component part that makes up their water pipelines. Those pipes, valves, fitting etc will comply with a national, or in some cases international, standard. These companies have diagrams that clearly map all of this out, mostly because they have to legally but also because it also vital for disaster recovery and other compliance issues.
Modern IT
And this is where modern day IT has problems. I'm not saying that modern day tech is a pile of shit. We all have great phones, our PCs can play good games, but it's one thing to craft well-designed products and another thing entirely to think about they all work together.
Because that is what's happened over the past few decades of IT. Organisations have piled on the latest plug-and-play technology (Software or Hardware) and they've built up complex legacy systems that no one really knows how they all work together. They've lost track of how data flows across their organisation which makes the work of cybersecurity, disaster recovery, compliance and general business transformation teams a nightmare.
Some of these systems are entirely dependent on other systems to operate. But that dependency isn't documented. The vast majority of digital transformation projects fail because they get halfway through and realise they hadn't factored in a system that they thought was nothing but was vital to the organisation running.
And this isn't just for-profit organisations, this is the health services, this is national infrastructure, it's everyone.
There's not yet a single standard that says "This is how organisations should control, manage and govern their flows of data."
Why is that relevant to the companies that were affected by Crowd Strike? Would it have stopped it?
Maybe, maybe not. But considering the global impact, it doesn't look like many organisations were prepared for the possibility of a huge chunk of their IT infrastructure going down.
Understanding dataflows help with the preparation for events like this, so organisations can move to mitigate them, and also the recovery side when they do happen. Organisations need to understand which systems are a priority to get back operational and which can be left.
The problem I'm seeing from a lot of organisations at the moment is that they don't know which systems to recover first, and are losing money and reputation while they fight to get things back online. A lot of them are just winging it.
Conclusion of Part 1
Next time I can totally go into diagramming if any of you are interested in that.
How can any organisation actually map their dataflow and what things need to be considered to do so. It'll come across like common sense, but that's why an actual standard is so desperately needed!

Cool for the Summer: HNK
âI can keep a secret, canâŚyou?â

Hueningkai x afab! Reader
Fluff, eventual smut

âYou know weâre getting married right?â A tiny, lanky, seven-year-old HueningKai says to you monotonously, as if stating a well known fact. âHuh? No wayâ you say sticking your tongue out at him, behavior fitting for two second graders. He huffs, puffing his already chubby cheeks out further, and crossing his arms. âWell why not?!â He demands.  You turn your noise up and pout as well. âI want someone tall and handsome, like Mr. Huening!â You retort. He gasps, dramatically putting his hand on his chest like he got stabbed there. âMy dad? Well Iâll be even taller and more handsome than him when I grow up, just you wait!â. You scoff, peering down on him with playfully judgy eyes. âYeah sure. And Iâll grow wings on my back and learn to fly!â. HueningKai takes a step closer and stomps his foot loudly. âFine then, since you donât wanna believe me, weâll make a bet! Youâll marry me once I get a little taller than youâ. He decides. âYeah whatever, Iâll marry you when youâre thiiiiiiiiis tall!â You say, reaching your hand upwards and getting on your tippy toes to really exaggerate. To your adolescent mind, this was never going to happen. The two of you of you pinky promisedâas little kids doâand ran back to your respective parents.
Youâd eventually eat your words, in more ways than one you suppose.
You and Hueningkai were childhood friends. Your mothers were absolute besties who got pregnant within months of each other, so naturally their children had to continue the legacy to some extent. You both were adorable kids. him being short, lanky and you being taller and equally awkwardly built, at least for the majority of your childhood.
Shortly after entering middle school Kaiâs parents moved away a few cities over with the rest of his siblings. You cried like a baby when he left, even though you didnât want to admit it. The two of you would communicate through your parents, FaceTiming and blabbering about random little things happening in your lives. When you were old enough (around highschool age) youâd begin texting on your own.Â
Kaiâs family would visit your hometown every now and then during the summer, staying at their summer home. Every summer he looked different. A little taller each time. A little more handsome each time. And most importantly, the beating in your chest that happened when he was simply existing in your presence, grew each time.Â
You didnât want to admit it, but you were falling for him. Unfortunately, your budding feelings felt just as fleeting as summer, lasting only months before you had to suppress them for another year. You failed to remember, however, that you can only shake a soda can so much until it explodes.Â
So, the feeling in your chest bubbled up and over the summer before your sophomore year of college. Going to a school out of state meant that you spent less time with your loved ones. By now, you had an established support system. You didnât know where youâd be if it werenât for your friend group.Â
âY/NNNNNNNNâŚ*hic* Dont leave meeeee! *hic*â your close friend Sabrina fake-sobbed into your shirt. âBRINAAAAAAAâŚIâm sorry! Itâll only be for a couple months. I havenât seen my family in a while, and theyâre blowing up my phone!â You also fake-sobbed back. Wiping her imaginary tears, Brina stepped back from your hug. âWell on the bright side,â she started, âat least youâll get to see your âhot childhood friend!ââ She nudges you. Blushing you turn away âMaybe⌠I donât even know if heâll be here this summer, maybe itâll be like last time where he didnât come. I prefer hanging out with his sisters anyways!â You lied with a childish pout. You missed âyourâ Hueningkai. Sabrina knew it, it was obvious. You knew it too, even though you were too stubborn to admit it. âWhat a dirty liar!â Sabrina said with a laugh. âKeep telling yourself that, babes. Keep me updated okay? I expect a text or call every day till you get back, or else your ass is mine! That IS a threat!â She says, pointing an accusatory finger at you. You meet her gaze and share a laugh. After going in for one last tight hug, you board your train, falling asleep on the 2 hour long ride.
Waking up a bit before your stop, you watch the familiar scenery through the window. You canât help but feel hopeful that youâll see your childhood friend again, you even dressed extra cute today. Hair done perfectly and a cute yet comfy skirt & hoodie set on. The train halted to a stop at the station, and you hurriedly got off, searching for your mom or your dad, who would typically come pick you up. Getting comfortable on a station bench, you text your mom for her location.Â
You: Hi mom! I just arrived at the station. Whoâd picking me up today, you or dad?
Mamabearđ§¸: Sorry hun, itâs neither.
You: what do you mean? Iâm stranded? (;_;)????
Mamabearđ§¸: Donât be silly! Whoops! I forgot to tell you! My mistake.
Mamabearđ§¸: Little Kai is coming to get you. Me and your dad got a little busy with the welcome party preparations, and his family got here a couple days ago.
Before you can even process your feelings, or even type a response, you hear a manâs soft, mellow voice, âHey pretty girl,â. Looking up through your bangs, your eyes widen at the sight in front of you.
Kai. Kamal. Huening.Â
At least 5 inches taller than when you last saw him, with substantially more muscle on his body, and somehow more handsome than he was the last time you saw him. Â
You donât even realize what youâre doing until he says, âYou done staring?â. You snap back to your senses with a quick blink and say sharply âI-I wasnât staring you short idiot!â Blush apparent on your face as you called him his old childhood nickname. Hueningkai lets out a loud laugh, the one that you missed so much âThatâs my girl. Letâs get you back to the house. Everyone misses you.â. You get up, smooth your skirt down and follow him to his car.
The car ride home mostly consisted of small talk about school life, but you were completely out of it.  The words âThatâs my girlâ played over and over in your head. His girl? Youâre his girl? LikeâŚhis? You stared out the window, unaware of his constant glances in your direction. When the two of you got to your house, you were met with hugs and kisses from both of your parents. âOur babies are finally back together!â Your moms squealed in excitement. âFinally, one happy family yet again.â Your dad chipped in. You admit, itâs been a while since you were all together like this. You couldnât help the grin sneaking onto your face. It felt like old times, but there was something a little different.
It was him, of course. Him in all of his 6 feet âand someâ of glory, you pretended not to notice the way his muscles rippled under his boxy white t- shirt every time he moved. You tried not to stare at his dangerously handsome face. You failed at both. Unsurprisingly.Â
After the main festivities were over, you headed up to your room, perfectly decorated, and just as you left it the previous year. After showering and changing into comfy pajamas, you got in your bed, cuddled with your childhood stuffed animal and put on a movie.Â
âY/Nieeeeee~â a freshly showered hueningkai bursts into your room, Clad with a white beater and pajama pants. You jump at his loud interruption. âKaiiiiâ you say, rubbing your tired eyes, âwhatâs up?â.  âIâm staying over tonight! My parents and sisters went home already.â He exclaims.
Your heart drops to your stomach. âWhat?â You ask in disbelief. âItâs just like the old days!â He says with a smirk. But itâs not. And he knew it. Your parents have let you sleep together since you were innocent children, so they still trusted you nowâŚExcept you were now both adults. You couldnât take him sleeping in the same room as you âlike the old daysâ. âOh. Okay.â You say tentatively with a hint of nervousness. âWhatâs wrong, doll?â He asks, noticing the shift in your voice. He approaches your bed, and the nickname makes your things clench under the covers. âNothing Hyuka, just tired after today,â you lie. âFine by me!â He exclaims, sitting on your bed and leaning against the headboard next to you. Itâs like he was doing this on purpose. âPut your movie back on, and start from the beginning if youâre going to go to sleep!â He nags. âFine,â you say, grabbing your phone and rolling over to update Sabrina. She had just been blowing up your phone begging to updates.Â
You: Heâs so sexy Iâm going to explode
Brinađš: HUH
Brinađš: WHAT HAPPENEDÂ
Brinađš: DID YOU FUCK HIM YET?
Brinađš: PROOF???!??
Brinađš: But like if u send me a tape keep the camera on you đđđđŤŚđŤŚđŤŚ
You: girl wtfđÂ
You chuckle as you text her, summarizing your day and letting the conversation take you wherever it does.
Suddenly, you feel breath fanning on your ear. You look up to see Hueningkai leaning over your shoulder with his eyebrows knitted in some unknown emotion. âWho are you texting?â He asks with serious tone that gave you shivers. âNone of your business!â you say, turning off your phone as you stick your tongue out, just as you did when you were kids. Rather than cheekily responding, he just huffs and goes back to watching the movieâŚweird.Â
You: He saw me texting you & I lowkey think he got jealous𫢠could be wishful thinking tho đĽ˛
Brinađš: he should be jealous! Youâre mine kittenđAnyways, does he even know who I am?
You: Okay thatâs enough from you. And no I just told him it was none of his business lolÂ
Brinađš: keep up the act and make him jelly! See where it goes! Iâm going to sleep now! Gn my loveeee ttylÂ
You: Okiiiiiie goodnight!
Brinađš: Iâm serious. Update me. This is a threat đđŞ
*liked by Y/N*Â
You set down your phone with a smile on your face that didnât go unnoticed by Hueningkai. âSomeoneâs got you happy,â he observed as his eyes flick back to the screen. âYup!â You exclaim, remembering what your friend told you. âNite Kaikai!â You say, turning overÂ
âNite doll,â there he goes with that nickname again. Every time the nickname leaves his lips, you get a familiar feeling in your lower stomach. Hueningkai pulls out the spare mattress and blanket your parents kept for him in your room and makes himself comfortable as you shut your eyes closed. You try to fall asleep, ignoring the burning sensation between your legs.
âââââ
*shlick, shlick, shlick*Â
The room was dark, only slightly illuminated by the dim TV.
Hueningkai had you locked in a passionate kiss as he pumped your wet cunt full of his long, slender musicianâs fingers. âHueningkai..â you moan his name through kisses. âShit, so tight for me. It doesnât matter where you are, youâll always be mine,â he says possessively. âKaikai, fuck, please!â You moan out as he speeds up, teetering on the edge of release. âSay my name, pretty girl.â  âplease, please!â you babble, not quite sure what youâre begging for. âKai, Hyuka Iâm gonna-â
And then you woke up. It was probably around 10am. You blushed as you recalled the events of last night-or lack thereof. It was a dream. Fuck. Glancing over to the empty mattress, your heart sunk into your stomach. You sure hope your fantasies werenât audible. Getting out of bed, you head to the bathroom to clean up the sticky mess between your thighs.
You find a yummy breakfast waiting for you downstairs, Kai and your family already eating. âOh hey honey,â your mom exclaims. We wanted you to be able to sleep in after the long day you had yesterday,â. âOh, thanks!â You respond, sliding into the only open seat and loading food onto your plate, too nervous to make eye contact with Hueningkai. âAnd howâd you sleep, Kai?â Your mom asks, directing your attention to the handsome boy beside you. âGreat, thanksâ he says with a smile. he then leans down towards your ear. âGood morning sleepyhead~â You jump and choke on your food for a second, not expecting that. âMorning, Kai,â you say, finally looking up to meet his gaze, chocolate eyes staring into your soul and a sweet smile directed towards you. You turn your attention back to your food as your mom tells you guys the itinerary for the day. You donât pay much attention, mind replaying the sinful scene that you acted out with your childhood friend last night in your dreams. The only thing you caught was that your family would be at Hueningkaiâs familyâs lake house today, the property they stayed at during the summer months. You unconsciously rubbed your things together at the thought of spending more time with the handsome man. You didnât notice his hardening gaze at the way your short-clad thighs shifted in your seat.Â
ââ-
Dressed in a bikini top and some shorts, you make your way over to the dock connecting the Hueningsâ backyard to the lake. Sitting down on the edge, you wince a little as your bare feet hit the cold water. Kaiâs little sister, Bahyyih, sat next to you. The two of you caught up, talking about mutual interests such as fashion and karaoke. Eventually the conversation ends up on the man you canât seem to get out of your mind . âYou know, Kai has been practicing more guitar along with drums again.â Bahiyyih proudly states, obviously with an adorable sense of pride in her brother. âReally? Is he any good with it?â You ask, genuinely curious. You always liked it when Kai played music for you growing up. Youâd rest your head on his shoulder as he practiced strumming chords on acoustic. His clumsiness adding to the allure. âOf course! You know how easily he learns when it comes to music. You should ask him to play for you soon!â You nod happily in agreement, youâd take any excuse you could to get closer to him.Â
Suddenly, you and Hiyyih hear a chorus of whoops and excited yelling. Whipping your heads around at the source of the noises, you find Kai and his older sister Lea racing recklessly towards the lake. Jumping past you and Hiyyih, they plunge into the lake with a big crash. âHey!!â You complain, water completely soaking your face and hair. âYou got us all wet!â Says Bahiyyih, evidently sharing your discomfort. âUgh!â Lea and Kai grown in unison, like you guys rained on their parade. âYou two should join us,â chimes Lea. Bahiyyih giggles as she jumps in, joining her siblings who turned their attention to you. âCome on, Y/Nâ begs Hueningkai. You huff in annoyance, âI didnât plan on getting wet today!â Hueningkai swims towards where your legs lay over the edge of the dock and in one swift motion, yanks you down into his arms. âHEY!â You screamed, landing a playful punch to his cheek. He just laughs. âCatch me if you can!â He says childishly before sticking his tongue out and swimming away. You felt like little kids again.Â
Swimming to him, you exclaim âGot you!â, arms wrapped around his neck from behind. âOh noooo!â He says sarcastically before shimmying your hands off of him and swooping you into his arms. Bypassing Lea and Bahiyyih, he sets you back up onto the docks, your jeans shorts absolutely ruined by lake water at this point. âI win,â he says, grinning up at you.Â
The sun is setting by the time you guys get out of the lake, and having already eaten itâs time to relax. One problem though: because you didnât plan on getting wet, you also didnât bring a change of clothes. Hiyyih and Lea offered, but Hueningkai insisted you wear his. Something about it being âhis responsibilityâ. You stepped into the bathroom holding the articles of clothing that Kai lended you; a simple black shirt and a pair of shorts he had long outgrew. You began undressing, peeling your wet clothes off of you and taking a shower using some of the girlsâ products. Stepping out of the shower, you looked towards the loaned pile of clothes. Thatâs when it hit you. Underwear. You had none other than your previous pair that had been soaked by the lake. Shit.
You were wearing Kaiâs clothes with no underwear. The thought of it made you twitch in anticipation. Ignoring the heat between your legs once again, you stepped out of the bathroom wearing Kais clothes. You then plopped down on the couch next to him.Â
Your family was spending the night at their house, but only one guest room for your parents to share meant that you had to room with one of the girls, which you didnât mind. You knew youâd probably end up spending the most time with Kai, though, considering you two were the closest. After some more family bonding, you followed Kai to his room. Youâd seen it plenty of times, decorated with posters of his favorite bands and memorabilia of things that meant a lot to him. Not to mention the cute stuffed animals he had a spot on the bed for. Remembering what you talked about with his little sister earlier, you spoke up. âHey Kai, I heard youâve been practicing guitar. Can you play something for me?â You say, sitting on the edge of the bed.Â
Hueningkai canât take it. His girl, in his clothes, on his bed, asking him to play music for her? It was all too good to be true. âOf course, dollâ he says. There we go with that nickname again. Thereâs no way it wasnât intentional, and you were at your breaking point. After unpacking his guitar, he sits next you and begins to play a song heâs been practicing.Â
âHey stupidâ you say, tugging on his sleeve. Fixing his attention on you, Kai playfully responds âHey idiot, whatâs up?âÂ
âCall me thatâŚâ you say, voice quiet and shaky with your nervousness. He stops playing. âWhat was that?âÂ
âI said donât call me that-doll!â You say with an irresistible pout. âItâs making me feel weirdâŚIâll get the wrong idea.â You say. Shifting uncomfortably on his bed.
âWhat if I want you to?â He asks quietly. For the first time in a while, Hueningkai looses the confident tough guy act. You just stared back at him, mouth agape, unable to believe what you were hearing. âNevermind,â he says in defeat at your lack of response. â
âHueningkaiâŚI love you.â you say quietly, finally snapping back into it, and before you realize it, youâre entrapped in his large build, chest buried into his chest. âYou donât know how long Iâve been waiting for you to say that, Y/N.â he admits  gleefully, looking down at you. âI love you too. Since we were kids. Iâve never even looked at anyone elseâŚit just had to be you.âÂ
Looking up at him, beaming, âWe promised, remember? Iâd be yours when we grew up,â you remarked. âOf course I remember!â He says, still holding you close to him. âExcept you specified that it would be when I got tall and handsome,â he says, raising an eyebrow with a smirk on his face. âSo you think Iâm handsome? Right?â He asks, teasing. âShut up idiot,â you respond, knowing you were caught. The unaffected Kai just giggled, *gently* tossing his guitar onto the floor of his bedroom. He then pulls you back into his chest and flops down onto the bed with you cradled prettily in his arms. âAll mineâ he says possessively, sending chills down your spine and into your core as he nuzzles into your head. You internally curse. âNot the time,â you internally tell yourself.Â
You and Kai talk for hours about various things. How heâs transferring to your college because of the offer he got for music, how life has been, how your relationship will develop moving forward, etc. Honestly? You wanted to move as quickly as possible, already having wasted enough time with pent up emotions towards him. With a sudden burst of confidence, you interrupt him while heâs rambling about whatever came to mind. He was just way too cute. âKai, kiss me.â You demanded. âNot even a please?â Kai asks with a fake pout on his face before kissing you, as per your request. It started off sweet and innocent at first, but quickly turned heated as Hueningkai deepened the kiss, licking at your bottom lip for permission. You readily obliged, wanting nothing more than to be as close to him as possible. He pulls away from you, looking at you with half lidded eyes as a string of saliva connected the two of you. He wasted no time before diving back towards you, peppering kisses onto your exposed neck and collarbone. âYou have no idea what you do to me, doll,â he says with his lips still on your neck. âSitting in my bed with my clothes onâŚâ he continues, his sultry tone making you grow wetter by the second. âLying here, acting like you werenât pathetically moaning my name last night.â Your heart practically dropped to your stomach. âW-what are you talking about?â You stammered, desperate to lie. He pulls away from your neck to make eye contact. âWhy are you pretending? After sitting right next to me, giggling while texting whichever guy you were entertaining, you went and had a wet dream about me. Admit it,â he says through knitted brows. You nod as you turn your face away in embarrassment. âI was texting my friend SabrinaâŚnot another guy!â You say defiantly. âWhatever, my point is that it took everything in me to not pounce on you then and there. Even today, when you wore that skimpy little outfit.â He shakes his head in frustration. âIâd ask if you were sure about going further, but considering you were just begging me, I donât think thatâll be necessary, huh?â He remarks cockily. âHyuka, just shut up and touch me.â You say with perturbed annoyance, hiding your face in your hands. âYour wish is my command, Y/N.â He says before sliding the shirt he let you borrow off of your body, a soft audible gasp leaving his plush lips after he realized that you werenât wearing a bra. Picking up where he left off on your neck, he began to bite and suck at your plush skin to his digression. He flicks a tongue across one of your nipples earning a gasp from you. Hueningkai takes turns worshipping your breasts with his lips and slender fingers. âKaiâfuckâ more,â you moan out, wetness soaking through the material of your shorts. Your body was begging to be touched. âSo needy,â Kai remarks harshly after releasing your breast from his mouth with a hash pop.Â
Gently sliding his old shirts down your frame, he winces at the sight of your bare pussy, strings of wetness connecting you with his shorts. âNo panties? Did you really want me to fuck you that bad? How naughty of you Y/NâŚâ He trails off âNo I promise I didnât! My clothes got ruined when you threw me into the lake! I promise!â You exclaim, obviously frustrated with the lack of friction. You were just so desperate him to finally claim whatâs been his all this time. âHmmâ he hums, rubbing a finger between your wet folds, making your body convulse. âSorry about that,â he grins cheekily, not bothering to look you in the eyes; He was just too focused on the lewd sounds your cunt was making as he teased it. âKai quit teasing me!â you exclaim as tears prick at the corners of your eyes. âMy needy babydoll,â he sighs, working a long finger into your hole, hissing at your tightness. You let out a loud moan as your fantasies were finally coming true. Hueningkaiâs eyes meet yours, glazed over and unfocused as your mouth lay open. âIâve wanted this so bad, Kai. I wanted your fingers so bad,â you admit, not caring about how pathetic and desperate you sounded. âCuteâ Hueningkai observes as he pumps another finger into you, obviously enjoying your reaction. He scissors his fingers into you, stretching you out thoroughly with the sheer size of them. âDo you want to cum on my fingers, pretty girl?â He asks you. âPlease!â You beg loudly, Hueningkai halts his movements. âYou really canât keep a secret can you? Hush unless you want everyone to hear you coming undone on my fingers.â He told you sternly. With a nod of agreement from you. He continues fingering you, sliding a third finger into you as he presses a thumb to your clit causing you to jolt in pleasure. âKai!â You exclaim, forgetting about your volume yet again. âI know you usually donât listen to me, but this is ridiculous even from you, Y/Nâ Kai says as he leans forwardâhand still assaulting your pussyâand shoves two of his fingers into your mouth. âThis should shut you up, yeah?â You moan in agreement around his fingers, earning a satisfied him from him. Choking on his fingers, you finally cum, body convulsing as he pulls his fingers out of your gushing cunt and brings them into his mouth. He sucks them clean before grabbing your face and leaning in for another wet, passionate kiss.Â
âRide me?âÂ
He asks, eyes almost pleading as he pulls way from your lips. You nod. He chuckles at your enthusiasm, stripping and lying back on his headboard. He motions for you to join him by patting his thigh. You obliged, positioning yourself on his legs with your hands on his abs. You couldnât help but stare at his erect member, hard and sticky. He had obviously been pent up for a while. âSomeoneâs happy to see meâ you joke. Hueningkai grabs your waist, sliding you forward so that you were pressed up against his erection. âDonât act all cocky as if I didnât just fuck the cum out of you with only my fingers,â he criticized, shutting you up. Picking your hips up and aligning yourself with his tip, you slowly lowered down until fully seated, mouth agape. He practically kissed your G spot with his length. Eyebrows knitted together in pleasure, you began to slide up and down his cock. Hueningkai looked no more composed than you did, mouth open with a fucked out expression on his face. Not being able to take the slow pace you were going at, Kai grabbed your hips and rutted into your tight hole. âFuckâ he grunted, âmine. my pussy. All mine.â He says as he throws his head back, continuing to thrust into you. Your hand flew up to your mouth as you tried to conceal your noises. Hueningkai lowered his hips and held yours to a halt, âIâm going to get you pregnant at this rate,â he says, flipping you into missionary and continuing pounding into you at a harsher rate. One of his hands snakes down to abuse your clit again. âKai, Kaikai âm gonna come,â you moan incoherently. âI know baby, me too,â he answers. With one last thrust, you cum on his cock. He fucks you through your orgasm before pulling out and spilling his seed on your stomach. âI love you so much Y/N,â he pants, flushed red and sweaty hair sticking to his forehead as he presses a kiss to yours. âI love you tooâ you mutter weakly before he cleans you up and dresses you, the both of you falling asleep in each otherâs arms.Â
ââââ-
âKAIII! Have you seen Y/N-oh.â Bahiyyih says the next morning, seeing the both of you asleep in his bed together.Â
âLea you owe me $20!â She yells, shutting the door and running down the hall.

week of may 18th, 2025
these are written predominantly for the *rising* signs but they are also intuitively "channeled" enough that they should work for any dominant energy you have! (try your sun if you don't know rising, or more advanced readers can try moon, anywhere you have a stellium, etc and see what works best for you!)
aries: without getting too granular this is a big week for your sense of personal identity, and your connections with your close community are also highlighted. use this week to really build self esteem or self concept if there are any weaknesses there, because you will want that fortified in the months to come.
taurus: perks of this week include a sharp mind, sharp wit, etc, and also some financial blessings if you set your intentions right around the new moon. the end of the week ushers saturn into aries which is a very good news/bad news situation for you, but more on that later. for now, be open to lots of shadow work even if it's messy.
gemini: the type of insights and downloads you get this week do not come from books or formal study or even from aimlessly browsing the internet or scrolling your phone. this is divine flashes of genius with no logical thread attached and you might not even notice them until later.
cancerians: any last minute aesthetic or fun updates to your public image should be made before saturday. saturn is heading for your 10th house and he's not that into these types of frivolity. a new moon around that time also brings potentially feelings of malaise, so prepare to mitigate that ahead of time.
leo: with your ruling luminary heading into gemini shortly, and then promptly participating in a new moon, focus intentions and goals on your social circles. if you're still working on career or legacy upgrades, this can mean your work network, but this can just as well mean friends, acquaintances, or dates. helpful people abound.
virgo: you're no stranger to the gut-brain axis and this week's transits remind you of it, just in case you were forgetting. start the week with the ceres-neptune conjunction really caring for the body - the viscera, the guts. you can get intellectual about it all later in the week, because then the astrology really supports it, but if you don't dive deep into your physical needs and the mind of your entrails first, you're more inclined to anxiety and overthinking later, which is a lot less fun than your alternatives.
libra: gemini season and its accompanying new moon herald an enjoyable, intellectual, and communcationally balanced period *but* - i'm so sorry there's a catch - saturn into your 7th house and his sign of fall is not super fun for relationship-oriented librans. fun little affairs and dalliances are as likely as ever but commitment? not so much. it's not impossible - saturn does grant staying power. but relationships that were not pre-existing will have a hard time getting off the ground. on the bright side, any skeletal or dental issues or stuckness in your daily routines are likely to start easing off from saturday onward.
scorpio: relationship conversations are likely to take strange turns. avoid it if you can't handle the potential of change, but remember that without change nothing ever happens! bonus points if you use this week to care for your literal bones and teeth. it sounds weird, but saturn is getting ready to move into your 6th house and you definitely don't want those things messing up your routine later.
sagittarius: gemini season and a gemini new moon bring fresh starts to relationships, if you are interested in securing commitments. if you are not, get that out of your system early this week! saturn is heading for aries and he can put a real damper on light airy flings. *even* for your vibrant 5th house.
capricorn: this is saturn's last week in pisces before moving into your 4th house. that has huge ancestry vibes for you or at least family secrets pertaining to your more recent family of origin. at the same time if you are seeking a roommate, *next* week starts a good time to look and if you are needing to get out on your own, you could start looking then too.
aquarius: airy vibes benefit you in many ways - especially if you are looking to have more fun/less stress. you do have to like, actually do the fun things, but the ability to do them arises more easily now. from saturday onward saturn leaves your second house which can also ease up money problems if you've had them.
pisces: gemini activity this week makes it a good time to straighten up household or family-of-origin-related matters. it is also the last week of saturn in your sign (although, note that a retrograde brings him back in september for a bit.)

A young entrepreneur who was among the earliest known recruiters for Elon Muskâs so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has a new, related gigâand heâs hiring. Anthony Jancso, cofounder of AccelerateX, a government tech startup, is looking for technologists to work on a project that aims to have artificial intelligence perform tasks that are currently the responsibility of tens of thousands of federal workers.
Jancso, a former Palantir employee, wrote in a Slack with about 2000 Palantir alumni in it that heâs hiring for a âDOGE orthogonal project to design benchmarks and deploy AI agents across live workflows in federal agencies,â according to an April 21 post reviewed by WIRED. Agents are programs that can perform work autonomously.
âWeâve identified over 300 roles with almost full-process standardization, freeing up at least 70k FTEs for higher-impact work over the next year,â he continued, essentially claiming that tens of thousands of federal employees could see many aspects of their job automated and replaced by these AI agents. Workers for the project, he wrote, would be based on site in Washington, DC, and would not require a security clearance; it isnât clear for whom they would work. Palantir did not respond to requests for comment.
The post was not well received. Eight people reacted with clown face emojis, three reacted with a custom emoji of a man licking a boot, two reacted with custom emoji of Joaquin Phoenix giving a thumbs down in the movie Gladiator, and three reacted with a custom emoji with the word âFascist.â Three responded with a heart emoji.
âDOGE does not seem interested in finding âhigher impact workâ for federal employees,â one person said in a comment that received 11 heart reactions. âYouâre complicit in firing 70k federal employees and replacing them with shitty autocorrect.â
âTbf weâre all going to be replaced with shitty autocorrect (written by chatgpt),â another person commented, which received one â+1â reaction.
âHow âDOGE orthogonalâ is it? Like, does it still require Kremlin oversight?â another person said in a comment that received five reactions with a fire emoji. âOr do they just use your credentials to log in later?â
Got a Tip?Are you a current or former government employee who wants to talk about what's happening? We'd like to hear from you. Using a nonwork phone or computer, contact the reporter securely on Signal at carolinehaskins.61 and vittoria89.82.
AccelerateX was originally called AccelerateSF, which VentureBeat reported in 2023 had received support from OpenAI and Anthropic. In its earliest incarnation, AccelerateSF hosted a hackathon for AI developers aimed at using the technology to solve San Franciscoâs social problems. According to a 2023 Mission Local story, for instance, Jancso proposed that using large language models to help businesses fill out permit forms to streamline the construction paperwork process might help drive down housing prices. (OpenAI did not respond to a request for comment. Anthropic spokesperson Danielle Ghiglieri tells WIRED that the company "never invested in AccelerateX/SF,â but did sponsor a hackathon AccelerateSF hosted in 2023 by providing free access to its API usage at a time when its Claude API âwas still in beta.â)
In 2024, the mission pivoted, with the venture becoming known as AccelerateX. In a post on X announcing the change, the company posted, âOutdated tech is dragging down the US Government. Legacy vendors sell broken systems at increasingly steep prices. This hurts every American citizen.â AccelerateX did not respond to a request for comment.
According to sources with direct knowledge, Jancso disclosed that AccelerateX had signed a partnership agreement with Palantir in 2024. According to the LinkedIn of someone described as one of AccelerateXâs cofounders, Rachel Yee, the company looks to have received funding from OpenAIâs Converge 2 Accelerator. Another of AccelerateSFâs cofounders, Kay Sorin, now works for OpenAI, having joined the company several months after that hackathon. Sorin and Yee did not respond to requests for comment.
Jancsoâs cofounder, Jordan Wick, a former Waymo engineer, has been an active member of DOGE, appearing at several agencies over the past few months, including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, National Labor Relations Board, the Department of Labor, and the Department of Education. In 2023, Jancso attended a hackathon hosted by ScaleAI; WIRED found that another DOGE member, Ethan Shaotran, also attended the same hackathon.
Since its creation in the first days of the second Trump administration, DOGE has pushed the use of AI across agencies, even as it has sought to cut tens of thousands of federal jobs. At the Department of Veterans Affairs, a DOGE associate suggested using AI to write code for the agencyâs website; at the General Services Administration, DOGE has rolled out the GSAi chatbot; the group has sought to automate the process of firing government employees with a tool called AutoRIF; and a DOGE operative at the Department of Housing and Urban Development is using AI tools to examine and propose changes to regulations. But experts say that deploying AI agents to do the work of 70,000 people would be tricky if not impossible.
A federal employee with knowledge of government contracting, who spoke to WIRED on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the press, says, âA lot of agencies have procedures that can differ widely based on their own rules and regulations, and so deploying AI agents across agencies at scale would likely be very difficult.â
Oren Etzioni, cofounder of the AI startup Vercept, says that while AI agents can be good at doing some thingsâlike using an internet browser to conduct researchâtheir outputs can still vary widely and be highly unreliable. For instance, customer service AI agents have invented nonexistent policies when trying to address user concerns. Even research, he says, requires a human to actually make sure what the AI is spitting out is correct.
âWe want our government to be something that we can rely on, as opposed to something that is on the absolute bleeding edge,â says Etzioni. âWe don't need it to be bureaucratic and slow, but if corporations haven't adopted this yet, is the government really where we want to be experimenting with the cutting edge AI?â
Etzioni says that AI agents are also not great 1-1 fits for job replacements. Rather, AI is able to do certain tasks or make others more efficient, but the idea that the technology could do the jobs of 70,000 employees would not be possible. âUnless you're using funny math,â he says, âno way.â
Jancso, first identified by WIRED in February, was one of the earliest recruiters for DOGE in the months before Donald Trump was inaugurated. In December, Jancso, who sources told WIRED said he had been recruited by Steve Davis, president of the Musk-founded Boring Company and a current member of DOGE, used the Palantir alumni group to recruit DOGE members. On December 2nd, 2024, he wrote, âIâm helping Elonâs team find tech talent for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the new admin. This is a historic opportunity to build an efficient government, and to cut the federal budget by 1/3. If youâre interested in playing a role in this mission, please reach out in the next few days.â
According to one source at SpaceX, who asked to remain anonymous as they are not authorized to speak to the press, Jancso appeared to be one of the DOGE members who worked out of the companyâs DC office in the days before inauguration along with several other people who would constitute some of DOGEâs earliest members. SpaceX did not respond to a request for comment.
Palantir was cofounded by Peter Thiel, a billionaire and longtime Trump supporter with close ties to Musk. Palantir, which provides data analytics tools to several government agencies including the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security, has received billions of dollars in government contracts. During the second Trump administration, the company has been involved in helping to build a âmega APIâ to connect data from the Internal Revenue Service to other government agencies, and is working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement to create a massive surveillance platform to identify immigrants to target for deportation.

The Solar System Legacy Challenge: Vet Visit Gen 1 pt.53
The Gratz had returned to Brindleton Bay and this week they had plenty to focus on. The triplets and Zohreh had back to back birthdays and they were going over to get to know the Walterâs .
They were new to the neighborhood and had moved in while the Gratz had been in Tomarang. Mercury had met Kiersten the day they returned. Kason had pointed out the moving boxes. She'd noticed a crib and toys meaning they likely had kids. Later that day they'd gone over to introduce themselves. Only Kiersten was home at the time, her husband Rufus, who had apparently landed a job at Kason's engineering company as some kind of computer tech, had taken their 2 children out on a store run. M, always the people person, liked Kiersten almost instantly. She was kind, loved books and was family orientated, so before heading home they'd made plans to have lunch.
Kason returned from work to find M and Zohreh out front.
Kason: Pose gorgeous, I'm gonna sell this one to the papparazzi.
He joked as he snapped her picture on his phone.
M: Hey babe. Good day at work?
Kason: Yeah, kind of a quite day. Worked on upgrading some of the servos nothing interesting.
M: I'm looking for Comet he's been scratching all day. I called the vet and made an appointment.
Kason: I'll take him don't worry.
Kason arrives at the Brindleton Pawspital. He gets Comet checked in, finds a place to get out of his uniform and waits for the Vet to call them in.
Madison, Paris's best friend was also at the clinic with her cat Pumpkin and had called Paris to keep her company. Kason hadn't noticed Paris come in.
Madison: See anything interesting in the cafe.
Paris: Nothing I won't have to spike myself.
Madison: It's a cafe at the vets office what did you expect.
Paris: Remind me why your mother got you that cat again.
Madison sighs but doesnt answer the question, instead she redirects.
Madison: Isnt that Kason?
Paris: Yeah. I saw when he came in. Haven't seen him much lately.
Madison: I assume its because he hates you.
Paris: Haha, funny. You should go over and say hi.
Madison looks at Paris skeptically.
Madison: Why would I do that?
Paris: Because he's a nice guy.
Madsion scuffs and whispers.
Madison: Yeah with a wife who told you to stay away from him. In fact he told you to stay away from him.
Paris: Which is whyyy, your going to go say hello. He avoids me like the plague.
Madison: Thats a sign Paris.
Paris: Oh come on. I just want to see what happens okay.
Madison rolls her eyes but gives in to Paris's childish request.
Paris: I'll just wait outside.
Once Paris makes herself scarce, Madison turns around and waves to Kason when they make eye contact.
Madison: Hi, I saw your dog when you came in he's a cockapoo right?
Kason smiles politely.
Kason: Yeah.
Madison came around to pet Comet
Madison: Aren't you just the cutest little guy. Whats his name?
Kason: Comet. Becareful he's an attention hog, plus weâre not sure what he's in for just yet.
Madison takes a seat beside him.
Madison: I'm Madison and we?
Kason: Kason, nice to meet you. And yeah my wife she made the appointment for comet to see the vet.
Madison: Oh, is she here?
Kason: No she's at home. Mercury Medley Gratz the writter you may have heard of her.
Madison: Your wife is Mercury Medley!? She writes the most amazing fantasy novels. I own her entire âJounal of a Werewolfâ collection.
Kason: I'll tell her that. She'll be glad to hear.
Madison: Please do... I'm sorry for her lost. I heard she lost her father recently. I can't imagine how hard that must have been, she's always thanked her father for her success in all her writting, they must have been close.
Kason: Thank you Madison. We appreciate your kind words and your support.
Kason found it easy to talk to Madison. He also couldn't deny she was fairly attractive. It wasn't a crime to appreciate beauty but he was slightly embarrassed to find himself checking her out. He knew it meant nothing, she was no M. Mercury's dark hair and curvy figure had captivated him but her beautiful mind and compassionate spirit had enamored him. Madison was a pretty face and a body, M was his soulmate. Besides, Kason had accepted his Faithful trait since he became a YA. He wouldn't ruin everything for something so trivial. He averted his eyes and continued their chat with his eyes kept at a respectful level.
They talked about Mercury's newest books and Madison explained why her cat Pumpkin was there. Neither of them noticed Paris slip back in and start snapping photos of the pair.
Vet Tech: Pumpkin and Madison. You can come in now.
Madison: It was nice to meet you and please if you convince her to do a signing or a meet and greet please email me. Have a good night Kason.
Madison heads in the back with her cat and Paris finally makes her presence known to Kason.
Paris: Hey Kay, How's it going?
Kason: What can I do for you Paris?
He asked with feigned politeness.
Paris: I just wanted to say hello but I saw you were busy. The girl, she was really pretty but she definitely wasn't your wife.
she says with a hint of accusation.
He quickly drops the act not wanting to play her game today.
Kason: It's none of your business who I talk to. But since you asked She a fan of literature something you probably know little about. Particularly a fan of Mercury's.
Paris: Rude. So if I liked your wife's fiction stories then you'd like me.
Kason: I don't like you because youâre a rude brat who throws tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants. You don't know how to behave like an adult and you don't know when to quit. I'll tell you again Paris leave me and my wife alone.
Vet Tech: Comet and Kason. You can head in now.
Kason follows the Vet Tech without another word to Paris
Veterinarian: Mr.Gratz Comet looks good. He just has a patch of dry skin. We gave him a preventative shot and we'll send you home with some special dog shampoo and he should be just fine.
Kason: Thank you, his mom will be glad to know its just dandruff. Lets get home buddy.

Erin Reed at Erin In The Morning:
Yesterday, news broke that transgender woman and computer pioneer Lynn Conway passed away at the age of 86. Her story is nothing short of remarkable. Conway helped pioneer early supercomputers at IBM but was fired after she transitioned. She went âstealthâ and had to rebuild her career from the ground up, starting as a contract programmer at Xerox with âno experience.â Then, she did it all over again, pioneering VLSIâa groundbreaking technology that allowed for microchips to be made small enough to fit in your pocket, paving the way for smartphones and personal computers. In 1999, she broke stealth, becoming an outspoken advocate for transgender people.
Conway first attempted to transition at MIT in 1957 at the age of 19 years old. At the time, the environment was not accepting enough for transgender people to do so. She would have faced enormous barriers to medical transition, as few doctors were knowledgeable enough to prescribe hormone therapy a the time. Like many transgender people seeing enormous barriers to care, she spent the following years closeted. Eventually, she was hired by IBM where she helped develop the worldâs fastest supercomputer at the time on the Advanced Computing System (ACS) project. The computer would become the first to use a âsuperscalarâ design, which made it capable of performing several tasks at once, dramatically improving its performance and making it much faster than previous computers. Despite her pivotal role in the project, she was fired when she informed her employer that she wanted to transition.
What she did next is nothing short of remarkable. Realizing that as an openly transgender woman in 1968, few companies would hire her, she went âstealthâ and pretended she had no significant prior experience in computers. She quickly advanced through the ranks and was hired by Xerox, where she famously developed VLSI, or Very Large Scale Integration. This groundbreaking technology allowed for thousands of transistors to be packed onto a single chip, revolutionizing electronics by making cell phones and modern computers possible through miniaturization and increased processing power. Conway didnât stop there. After gaining fame for her computer innovations, she came out in 1999 to advocate for transgender people. She was among the early critics of Dr. Kenneth Zucker, an anti-trans researcher still cited today by those working to ban gender-affirming care. Conway slammed Zucker for practicing âreparative therapy,â a euphemism for conversion therapy. Notably, Zuckerâs research continues to make false claims that â80% of transgender kids desist from being trans,â numbers based on his clinic's practices, which closely mirrored gay conversion therapy. That clinic has since been shut down over those practices.
RIP to Lynn Conway. She was a tireless fighter for trans rights in a time that publicly supporting LGBTQ+ causes (let alone trans causes) wasn't popular, and that led to her firing from IBM in 1968.
Conway helped develop the supercomputer while at IBM, and later on at Xerox, helped developed microchip technology found in cell phones. đłď¸ââ§ď¸đłď¸âđ

We could start this with a whisper â something gentle and reverent, a somber reflection on the quiet rows of white headstones that stretch across Arlington National Cemetery like the pages of a history book too painful for some men to read. But thereâs no time for quiet reflection when the vandals have already shown up with erasers.
Because thatâs what this was â vandalism. Not the loud, chaotic kind that leaves spray paint and broken glass in its wake â this was something far more insidious. A quiet, calculated purge disguised as policy. In the dead of night, the bureaucratic grave robbers slithered into Arlingtonâs digital archives and started scrubbing â not dirt from the tombstones, but stories from the record.
Gone were the pages celebrating Black veterans â the soldiers who fought for a country that saw them as second-class citizens, yet bled for it anyway. Notable figures like General Colin L. Powell, the youngest and first Black chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Justice Thurgood Marshall, the first Black Supreme Court Justice, had their stories buried under a digital whitewash.
Gone were the tributes to Hispanic service members â the men and women who stood on foreign soil defending a nation that couldnât even pronounce their names without butchering them. Heroes like Hector Santa Anna, a World War II B-17 bomber pilot and Berlin Airlift participant, found their legacies discarded as if their sacrifices were mere footnotes.
Gone were the stories of women in the military â the nurses, pilots, and groundbreakers who spent decades clawing for respect in a system that was determined to keep them in the background. Pioneers such as Brigadier General Hazel Johnson-Brown, the first Black woman to become a general in the U.S. Army and to lead the Army Nurse Corps, had their narratives erased, as if their contributions were too inconvenient for the sanitized history some wish to portray.
And letâs not forgetâŚ
Gone were the pages recognizing LGBTQ+ service members â those who risked their lives in battle while hiding who they truly were. The soldiers forced to live in silence under Donât Ask, Donât Tell â the ones who were told their very existence was a threat to âunit cohesion.â Those stories, too, were treated like clutter â discarded because they dared to challenge the cheap, plastic version of military pride that Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump are peddling like street corner hustlers.
All of it â gone. Deleted like embarrassing browser history by a teenager who knows his parents are about to check the computer.
And behind it all? Donald Trump â the bloated carny barker who spent years crying about âwokeâ culture like it was some sort of existential threat to his fragile ego â and his loyal lapdog, Pete Hegseth, a man whose grasp on military history seems shakier than his grip on reality.
Hegseth, Trumpâs hand-picked lackey now running the Department of Defense like itâs a Fox News production set, ordered the purge. He called it a âdigital content refresh,â as if wiping out references to Thurgood Marshall, the Tuskegee Airmen, and LGBTQ+ service members was the same as updating your phoneâs software.
This wasnât about cleaning up the website. This was about re-writing history â turning Arlington into a shrine for the whitewashed version of America that Trump keeps shoving down his supporters' throats. A place where Black soldiers only appear in grainy black-and-white photos if theyâre standing quietly behind a white officer. Where womenâs sacrifices are reduced to a footnote. Where LGBTQ+ soldiers â men and women who fought two battles â one for their country and one for the right to exist â are written out altogether.
Itâs cowardice â plain and simple. And the irony is, they wrapped this in the language of âpatriotism,â as if real patriotism means ignoring the contributions of anyone who doesnât fit their cartoonish ideal of what an American soldier should be.
What makes this even more pathetic is how lazy the purge was. In their rush to erase anything that smelled like âdiversity,â they even took down content that had nothing to do with race, gender, or identity. Entire sections about military aircraft, historical milestones, and obscure but important facts were collateral damage in Hegsethâs slapdash effort to make Arlingtonâs website look like something youâd find printed on a MyPillow⢠pamphlet.
But letâs be honest â this wasnât an accident. This was a signal â a neon sign flashing âThese people donât matter.â Itâs part of the same cynical game Trumpâs been playing for years â feeding his base a steady diet of resentment, telling them that celebrating diversity is somehow an attack on their identity. And Hegseth? Heâs just the guy holding the mop, swabbing out the parts of history Trump doesnât want remembered.
The message is clear: Trump and Hegseth donât want you to know about the Black soldiers who fought and died for this country. They donât want you to remember the Hispanic men who bled on battlefields from Europe to the Pacific. They donât want you to read about the women who refused to sit quietly in the corner while the boys played war. And they sure as hell donât want you to remember the LGBTQ+ soldiers who wore their uniforms while hiding a part of themselves to avoid being outed, humiliated, or kicked to the curb.
Because those stories challenge the fantasy theyâre trying to sell â a fantasy where white, straight men are the sole architects of American greatness.
And theyâre cowards for it. Hiding behind bureaucratic nonsense like âcontent refreshesâ because they know they canât just come out and say what they really mean. This isnât patriotism â itâs pandering. Itâs an insult to every person buried at Arlington who had to fight twice as hard to earn their place there.
But hereâs the thing about history: you canât kill it by hitting the delete button.
The Black soldiers who faced segregation before dying for a country that barely recognized them? Their courage isnât erased just because Pete Hegseth pretends they didnât exist.
The Hispanic soldiers who fought under flags that wouldnât even welcome their families back home? Their sacrifice isnât forgotten just because some Trump flunky thought their names were inconvenient.
The women who stood in combat zones and surgical wards, saving lives while fighting for their own dignity? They will not be reduced to a footnote.
And the LGBTQ+ soldiers who spent years serving in silence â facing the constant threat of exposure, dishonorable discharge, and public humiliation â their bravery will outlast this pathetic attempt to erase them. Because those soldiers didnât just fight for their country â they fought for the right to exist.
If Trump and Hegseth want to erase those stories, fine â letâs write them louder. Letâs drag those forgotten names into the spotlight and make them impossible to ignore. Letâs tell the stories they tried to delete until the names of those soldiers, nurses, and trailblazers echo louder than the hollow excuses coming out of Trumpâs marble-walled bunker.
Because these stories matter. They are part of Americaâs DNA â messy, complicated, and far too powerful to be buried under a pile of bureaucratic bullshit.
So letâs remember the names they tried to erase â and make sure Trump and Hegseth canât forget them either.

Ranking all portable ways to play Minecraft
Minecraft Java Edition (Steam Deck or other Portable PC): This is basically cheating, but it's super easy to set up on basically any portable PC, It's updated to the latest version, it has betas, it has full mod support, and the controls can be whatever you want thanks to Steam Input
2. Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition: this is the last version of Minecraft Legacy Console Edition, so it has all of the love and care that that version had, with the bonus of the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack. This version runs silky smooth with about a 10 chunk render distance, and has the easiest multiplayer on the list, assuming you can find other people with a discontinued version of Minecraft. This version of the game lacks a bunch of features because it was not updated past the Update Aquatic
3. Minecraft Playstation Vita Edition: I adore the playstation vita, and this is the other portable version of Minecraft Legacy Console Edition, although there are some limitations that come with being on weaker hardware, like Multiplayer being limited to 4 players, a slightly lower render distance (about 5 chunks), and a smaller world size. The game controls better than the Switch version because the Playstation Vita is more ergonomic than the Switch, but other than that it's basically the same game.

4. Minecraft (Android/IOS): Minecraft on Phones is better than you'd expect, but not much better, it has an 8-20 chunk render distance depending on the speed of your device and how okay you are with frame drops, which speaks to how much less stable this version of Minecraft is compared to the Java and Legacy Console Edtions are. There is mod support, but it's really lacking, and you are updated to the lastest version of the game. However, the touch screens just do not give Minecraft justice, so you would need a bluetooth controller, which have latency on both Android and IOS. Minecraft Bedrock Edition is missing a lot of the love found in the Legacy console versions, which really hurts it in the ranking.

5. Minecraft New Nintendo 3DS Edition: Despite sounding like a legacy console version of Minecraft, it isn't, this one was developed by Other Oceans Interactive, and thus is also missing a lot of the love found on the Legacy Console Editions. this is also the least updated version of Minecraft on this list being stuck in the World of Color Update, it's also the weakest system Minecraft has ever had an official port for, being about as powerful as an Xbox or Wii, and that leads to a lot of technical limitations. Like the 4 chunk render distance and the fact that the game freezes when it autosaves, it also hangs in some worlds when large structures are being loaded. the controls are about as good as you could reasonably expect for a 3DS, and you get used to them very quickly. The UI is strange and in some parts unintuitive. Multiplayer is about as easy as it can be on a handheld because of the 3DS' Download Play feature.

6. Minecraft (Nintendo Switch): This is the version of Minecraft that replaced the Legacy Console Edition, and it's bad, the render distance is 7 chunks and even then the game is quite framey, the touch screen literally does nothing, not even the presses buttons on the main menu. Multiplayer is somewhat easy in terms of split screen, but it makes the performance even worse, and the online features are barely there, (except for the marketplace, that works perfectly). The game is unstable, I've played for about 5 hours and in that time I got 7 crashes to the switch's home screen.

Banking vs. Fintech: Which Offers the Better Experience?
The financial services world has transformed rapidlyâand at the heart of this evolution is the rise of fintech (financial technology) companies. But traditional banks are still very much in the game.
So which offers the better experience:Â banking or fintech? The answer depends on what you valueâconvenience, trust, features, or innovation. Letâs break it down.
1. User Experience & Convenience
Fintech: Fintech apps are designed for speed, ease, and mobile-first users. From account opening in minutes to real-time notifications and AI budgeting tools, the experience is intuitive and modern.
Traditional Banks: Banks have improved mobile services, but legacy systems often result in slower apps, clunky interfaces, or longer wait times for support.
â
Winner: Fintech (for ease of use and speed)
2. Security & Trust
Fintech: Most fintechs are regulated and use encryption, but some users hesitate to trust newer names with their savingsâespecially those without FDIC or national backing.
Traditional Banks: Banks offer established reputations, FDIC/NCUA insurance, and years of operational trust. For large deposits or conservative customers, this matters.
â
Winner: Traditional Banks (for long-term trust and perceived safety)
3. Innovation & Features
Fintech: From crypto wallets and peer-to-peer transfers to robo-advisors and buy-now-pay-later services, fintechs lead in innovation. They quickly adapt to customer needs and technology trends.
Traditional Banks: Most banks struggle to innovate at the same pace due to regulation and legacy infrastructure. Their features often lag behind fintech competitors.
â
 Winner: Fintech (for cutting-edge tools)
4. Customer Support
Fintech: Many fintech companies rely on chatbots, help centers, or email for supportâfast, but sometimes impersonal.
Traditional Banks: Banks offer in-person branches, phone support, and long-standing customer service teams. For more complex issues, this can be a big advantage.
â
Winner: Traditional Banks (for personalized support)
5. Accessibility & Inclusion
Fintech: Fintechs excel at reaching the underbanked or underserved, allowing users with no credit history to access financial services and tools.
Traditional Banks: Banks often have stricter onboarding requirements and fewer tailored solutions for gig workers, freelancers, or low-income customers.
â
 Winner: Fintech (for financial inclusion)
Final Verdict: A Hybrid Future?
While fintech shines in technology, convenience, and innovation, traditional banks continue to dominate in trust, regulation, and customer support. The best experience may come from a hybrid approachâusing fintech tools alongside a traditional bank foundation.
As the financial world continues to evolve, one thing is clear:Â consumer expectations have changedâand both banks and fintechs must keep up.

PoE Media Converters: Power and Data Over One Smart Connection
In todayâs connected world, networks are expected to do more with lessâless wiring, less cost, less complexity. If youâre powering up IP cameras, access points, or remote devices, a solution that combines power and data over a single cable just makes sense.
Thatâs the job of a PoE media converterâbridging copper and fiber networks while delivering power and data simultaneously over Ethernet. Itâs compact, efficient, and ideal for modern network expansion.
What Is a PoE Media Converter?
Letâs break it down.
A PoE (Power over Ethernet) media converter is a device that extends your Ethernet network by converting signals between copper (RJ45) and fiber optics, while also supplying electrical power over the same Ethernet cable. This means you can connect and power devices like IP cameras, VoIP phones, or wireless access pointsâeven in places with no nearby power outlets.
Itâs a two-in-one solution: media conversion + power injection. That translates into:
Fewer cables
Simplified installations
Cost savings on power infrastructure
Whether you're upgrading surveillance systems or building smart campuses, PoE media converters make deployment smarter, not harder.
When and Where Should You Use One?
PoE media converters are especially valuable in remote or hard-to-reach locations, where running both power and data lines would be expensive, difficult, or outright impossible. Here are a few examples where they shine:
Security networks, powering IP cameras on parking lots or perimeter fences
Smart buildings, where wireless access points are mounted in ceilings or hallways
Transportation systems, like train stations or airports, with scattered digital signage
Industrial facilities, where ruggedized devices need connectivity in harsh zones
By converting copper Ethernet to fiberâand injecting power in the processâPoE media converters give you long-range connectivity and flexible device placement. Fiber extends the reach, while PoE eliminates the need for local power sources.
At VERSITRON, our PoE media converters are built for both commercial and industrial environments, supporting Gigabit speeds, multimode and singlemode fiber, and various PoE standards (PoE, PoE+, PoE++). Theyâre compact, easy to install, and field-proven in the toughest applications.
Why Choose VERSITRON PoE Media Converters?
When reliability matters, you donât want to gamble on off-the-shelf hardware. VERSITRON has been a trusted name in fiber and Ethernet technology for over 60 years, offering dependable solutions for government, military, security, and utility networks.
Why our PoE media converters stand out:
Designed for mission-critical uptime

Backed by expert U.S.-based support
Compatible with both legacy and modern devices
Whether you're installing one IP camera or building a smart surveillance grid, VERSITRON helps you build with confidence.
Conclusion: Simplicity Meets Power
If your network needs to span distance and power edge devices efficiently, PoE media converters are the missing link. They eliminate the need for separate power sources, simplify installation, and make fiber upgrades accessibleâeven in challenging locations.
With VERSITRONâs PoE media converters, you get the convenience of PoE, the range of fiber, and the trust of proven performanceâall in one small, powerful device.
