More basal than some of the later Late Cretaceous oviraptorosaurs, Wulatelong gobiensis was a small, long-legged oviraptorid native to Northern China. While small, it was considerably larger than most basal oviraptorids. Like other oviraptorosaurs, its toothless, parrot-like beak was likely an adaptation for a diet of tough desert plants. Living in an arid environment where you don’t know when your next meal will come along may have also led to an opportunistically omnivorous diet. This “dragon of Wulate” is known from a nearly complete skeleton, however, its remains were scattered, eroded, and damaged by insects before being fossilized, so not much else is known about it.

The Bayan Mandahu Formation of Late Cretaceous Northern China was semi-arid, and many fossils were preserved by sudden wind-blown sandstorms. It was similar to the nearby Djadochta Formation, and shared many of the same types of animal. Short-lived streams, oases, and arroyos would have attracted much of the life here. Wulatelong would have lived alongside (and possibly been hunted by) the similarly-sized dromaeosaur Linheraptor. It would have also shared this harsh environment with the alvarezsaur Linhenykus, troodontids Linhevenator and Philovenator, and crocodylomorphs like Shamosuchus, as well as small birds, lizards, and mammals.

Hiya! In the short film teaser 2 what are the three species shown? It looks like Pentaceratops sternbergii, Parasaurolophus cyrtocristatus, and some troodontid, maybe Saurornitholestes assuming this is New Mexico. I’m really curious and I just wanna tag them correctly. I love your work btw! ^-^
Hi! Pentaceratops is correct, However they're the odd one out in the cast and this is set in Asia. The Hadrosaur is Tsintaosaurus, the brown raptor is Velociraptor and the black and white one is a Linheraptor.
since I knew I was going a more stylised route with these characters I did not narrow them down to type species as well.
Thanks for the ask!

Help me pick paleoartworks for my digital print store!
R-L: Aquilops, Kentrosaurus, Velociraptor ⇓
R-L: Sauropelta, Utahraptor, Tupuxuara ⇓

R-L: Barosaurus, Ceratosuchops, Yutyrannus ⇓
R-L: Tupandactylus, Elopteryx and Hatzegopteryx, Linheraptor ⇓
the top 6 prints chosen from this poll will be the first ones released to buy from my shop in a couple weeks! these will be roughly postcard-sized and $10-15 apiece depending on demand—this initial printing is going to be small in order to test if this will work out for my store. if this is successful i will be able to expand to offer more and larger prints, provide preorders, bulk orders, and so on...
I'm printing these at my community studio to keep costs down on both sides: you will be buying these directly from me with no Inprint fees. it's a great way to support me (an unemployed transgender paleoartist) on a low budget, so if you want to make sure these will be available + affordable, spread the word and hype me up to all your dinosaur-loving friends, and of course reblog this poll!
thank you for reading and voting :>

Linheraptor exquisitus
A species of dromaeosaurid from the Wulansuhai Formation of Inner Mongolia, Linheraptor is one of a few closely related species of dromaeosaur that all lived at roughly the same place at the same time. These other species include Tsaagan mangas and two species of Velociraptor, and are the source of some debate over whether they all represent truly different species or whether they should all be lumped together under Velociraptor.
Linheraptor itself is an animal I’m surprised we don’t see more in palaeoart, since it is actually known from exquisitely preserved remains (hence the species name). We have almost a complete skeleton that looks like this
and yet it remains a pretty obscure dromaeosaur?? What’s up with that, somebody get on this.
Anyone who’s familiar with my art knows I love to make dinosaurs that look kinda like scraggly little rat creatures and I had a real blast with this guy. There are so many animals out there just just look kinda ugly (affectionate) and I think dinosaurs also deserve to look like mildly scrumfley guys!

Some relatively old art with one of my most recent dinosaur oc - Sokor (Blind) the Linheraptor. Really strange character with not the best morality, not really clear mind and not very pretty ilnesses. Either way, i got attached to him. Thanks to him i started to worldbuilding the Gillion setting.
One day he and his follower will finally be fully integrated in this setting as one of the Runners, but for now it's only several sketches of their appearance
