I’m getting used to drawing digitally, so I drew Xena from M.R. Anglin’s Silver Foxes series, which you should totally read because it’s amazing.
Drew this over two weeks ago and I’m only posting it now because I honestly don’t know.

What's your favourite book? Give a sentence from it to help show why you love it!
Favorite book series might just be the Silver Fox series by M.R. Anglin. I’m not sure I could pick one sentence from it to show how I like it. It’s about anthropomorphic foxes though which is cool.

Meet Characters Joshua and Deborah from Prince of the Sun, Princess of the Moon
Good morning, everyone. Today, we will be interviewing Joshua and Deborah from the book Prince of the Sun, Princess of the Moon.
How are you today?
Joshua: Just fine, thanks.
Deborah: I’m good.
Okay, let’s get started. First off, what's your full name?
J: Joshua Delango
D: Deborah Delango
What's your fav color?
J: Yellow and gold . . . like the sun
D: Silver . . . like the moon
Do you have any secrets?
J: No . . . none at all.
D: *smirks* Joshua’s lying . . .
J: No, I’m not. Shut up, Deborah! How’d you like it if I told one of your secrets?
D: I didn’t say I didn’t have one, but at least I’m not lying about it.
You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.
J: I don’t want to answer.
D: I have a secret I don’t mind sharing. I can tell when people are lying. It looks like a mist coming out of their mouths. It’s pretty handy when people are trying to hide birthday presents from me.
J: *cracks a smile* It’s not easy to hide anything from her.
D: Yet, you all do it anyway *crosses her arms* No one tells me anything.
J: There, there, Deborah. *Joshua pats her head*
What's your favorite season?
J: Spring . . . because that’s when the days start getting long, and the sun shines stronger again
D: I’m the total opposite. I love winter because the nights are longer and the moon is stronger.
What are your hobbies?
J: I like playing kick ball . . . or I used to before the . . . um . . . never mind. I’m too old for kickball now.
D: Hanging out with my friends; learning about the Princess of the Moon; shopping . . . though Desiree says the shopping is better in Ausen than it is in Telbod.
What is Ausen?
D: You don’t know Ausen? It’s the capital of Eschelion. You know, our country . . . duh!
J: Don’t be rude, Deborah
What do you do when you are stressed?
J: I tend to take it out on Deborah . . . of course, she’s usually the one stressing me out, so . . .
D: That’s not true!
J: You’re always getting into trouble, and I have to bail you out!
D: I can handle it myself . . . sort of . . .
J: Anyway . . . if Deborah’s not around, I fiddle with my sunstone necklace. It’s here under my shirt.
D: When I’m stressed, I *averts her eyes* . . . I talk to Joshua; he usually knows what to do
J: Aw, really, Deborah?
D: *nods* You’re the smartest person I know . . . apart from Auntie Shielle.
J: Thanks.
Are you an early-riser or a late-sleeper?
J: Early-riser . . . I love the sun.
D: Um . . . I’m a night person. The sun makes me sleepy, so . . . I guess I’m a late-sleeper.
Do you torture your younger siblings?
J: Of course not! I promised myself I’d never let anything happen to her.
D: I don’t have any younger siblings, but I like to mess with Joshua. *grins*
How old are you right this very moment?
J: 16
D: 12
If you were to fight each other, who would win?
J: I’d never fight my baby sister. But if I did, I’d win.
D: Yeah, right! I’d win. Joshua took fighting lessons, but he never wants to hurt anyone. I don’t mind hurting people I’m fighting with. And I fight dirty.
J: That’s true.
One more question and then we’re done. What is your favorite movie, book, or show?
J: Let’s see . . . The Core is my favorite movie from your planet. I’ll admit it’s a cheesy mess, but I still love it.
As for television shows, I like any astronomy documentaries.
And for books . . . I haven’t read many books from your planet so unfortunately I can’t offer one you’d know of. But there’s a fantasy book on Geon called, Stephen and the Journey to the Sun. It’s a complete joke! I mean, everyone knows the sun isn’t really a gigantic ball of burning plasma. It cracks me up every time I read it.
D: As for me, my favorite movie is the Neverending Story—I just love the name the main character gave the Child-like Empress at the end. Moon Child-- who wouldn’t like that name?
As for a show . . . eh, I’m not into TV so much.
And for my book, The City of Ember . . . it’s so haunting.
Well, thank you both for your time. I hope I have a chance to conduct another interview soon.
J: Sure.
D: Any time; this was fun!
Author Note - And thanks to Dana who came up with these questions. =)
About the Author -
M.R. Anglin has always had a fascination with space—particularly the moon and stars. She also has three amazing nephews, two adorable “near-nephews,” and one brilliant niece, so it’s no wonder she eventually wrote a story that combines these loves into one. You can often find her gazing up at the Florida sky at night or hunching over her notebook/computer by day.
She is the author of several books, including the self-published, ongoing Silver Foxes series and Lucas, Guardian of Truth (LampPost 2012). She has also has stories included in anthologies and posted online.
