you were in mid life crisis. you had three exams to do this week, and then the next week you have two more. on top of that, after your five exams— you have to present with a group about the choice of literature your four people have chosen and reinterpret it in a modern context. so in three weeks, you have your side of the project to do until it’s due.

it’s only monday, and you were sobbing in your bed with your grey covered sheets above your head. hoping, praying, that the military would give your boyfriend back to you to get through this next month. sad music was in the back ground outside of your sheets. sheets of crumbled paper all scattered over your shared bedroom. five notebooks all over the king sized bed, pencils, sharpies, and highlights all lost into the sheets.

your phone was placed down on the bed, your face planted in the soft pillow with tears all over your face. you felt a buzz from your phone, and your head tilted its way as you propped your phone up to look what it was to make your phone buzz. a soft smile plants on your face, 'MICKEY ❤️' was seen as a message. you put in your lock and open your phone, reading the green message.

MICKEY❤️:

hi my love, how are you? miss you ❤️.

a tear ran down your cheek as sobs come out of your mouth, not calmly handling the message you just got. it’s been two months since you’ve last seen your boyfriend, and sure you’ve been with out him longer, but with school beating your ass you’ve been in a tough space recently.

YOU:

not doing so well. school’s eating my ass up right now, and honestly i’m at my breaking point…

you hit sent. chewing on your lip as you see the three bubbles pop up and then away, and then back up and then away as if mickey was trying to find a way how to soothe you.

awe i’m so sorry to hear about that. when i get back, ill make sure to give you the best princess treatment in the world. best everything for my hermosa. ❤️‍🩹

you smiled sadly. it’s only the halfway point of him being on duty and you’re already crashing and burning with out him. he’s supposed to be gone for four months, is what he told you.

MICKEY❤️:

by the time you know it, exam season will be done, you’ll crush that project, and then one more month until you’ll see me and i’ll be in your arms again. for a very long time, so… breathe for me okay baby? if you’re feeling like crashing out, just breathe for me. pretend i’m there holding you. just know, it’s killing me too for being so far away without you. we’ll get through this together mi vida ❤️.

and then you were back at it again sobbing, a hand clasped over your mouth as your eyes read that text over and over again. after two minutes, you did so as mickey told you. breathing in and out, eyes closed as you fan your hot face.

the time read 01:25, your eyes widening with horror. you had an exam tomorrow at 14:00, a class at 07:45 and ending at 11:25. putting all your notebooks in order, you took only one into your bag since you’re only going to one class tomorrow, and then for the exam you really won’t need anything other than your pencil.

finally cleaning up and finishing at 02:00, you hopped into bed and finally closed your eyes.

it was 17:55 by the time you came back to your humble of home. after your exam was done at 16:30, your friends wanted to have a bit of a sweet treat because they had said they felt ‘good’ about the exam. you didn’t want to go, but your two friends insisted on you going because you’re the life of the party everywhere you go.

chucking your shoes off, you didn’t notice mickey in the kitchen cooking up whatever it was on the stove as you made a big stretch and strut your way to your shared bedroom. you take out your hair clip, massaging your head for a good minute then began taking off all your clothes. moving to your drawer, you picked out an old hoodie mickey gave to you for the first of winter when you weren’t smart enough to bring your own to your fourth date. you put that on, then put his basketball shorts on as well.

going to your bathroom, you removed a bits of make up on you and jewelry as well. feeling so much better and relaxed, you make your way back into the living room and sat down on the brown soft leather couch.

star wars was on t.v.

star wars is never on t.v unless you’re cuddled up watching it with mickey of course. so when you see star wars was on— and the t.v. was as well, you shot up straight from the couch. “did you finally notice?” an oh so well familiar voice softly asked as you spun back to look where the voice was coming from.

there was mickey garcia, standing in comfortable civilian clothes cooking dinner for two. “m—” you start off, your lips quivering in shock as your eyes widen. you stay still like a deer in headlights, unable to move. you’re questioning everything in your head right now to see if it’s real or not, if you’re so far gone from missing mickey to making it look so believably real to see him standing just a few feet away from you.

“i-.., i know i said four months.., turns out, you really just need two to train basic trainee’s and then someone else takes over your shift.” he shrugged, a sheep smile on his face as he watches you. “mi amor?” he questions, his eyebrows furrowing with his head tilted.

that’s when you slowly move towards the kitchen, your hands both in front of you. “i’m going insane..” you mumbled, “if you were going insane you wouldn’t be able to smell this good spaghetti…, and this AMAZING tomato sauce you deeply love.” he grabs the sauce from the counter, shaking it side to side to show you then putting it back down.

you were inches away from mickey now. “hi.” he whispers, “you’re real.” you hiccup, “indeed i am real,” mickey giggled out. “were you crashing out that bad for me?” he laughed, his body touching yours as he leaned back. you don’t answer him.

all you do is wrap your arms around him tightly, your face into his chest. “i’ve missed you.” you sobbed, “i know mi amor. i know.” he whispered into your hair, kissing your forehead for as long as he could. “estoy tan feliz de tener a mi viejo en mi vida..,” you giggle out, sniffs coming along as you kiss his lips. “ohh.. ookay now okay now, i’m only five years older then you missy.” he snorts. “still old, old man.”

“and you love this old man, don’t ya?”

miles would probably see you at school as always, walk up to you and greet you a good morning, only to have you looking around, confused and restless, as you're muttering to a locker. "hey," he'd begin in the not-so-rizzing-up way and smile at you with his big, sweet smile as he looks at your back that's turned to your fidgety figure. "oh, hi miles." you say as you look at a mop erected on a clean up bucket by the janitor's closet. miles chuckles as he turns you around gently and holds you by the shoulders. "hey, quit playin', i'm over he--oh." he said in two starkly different tones as he sees your confused expression, your eyes seeming a lot smaller without those glasses that framed your cute face. you squinted to get a better look at miles, and you finally realized it was him. "oh, a cute baby deer is in front of me, i walked into a mystical forest, not school." you joked, and miles chuckled. "lost your glasses again?" he asked, to which you sighed and nodded. miles chuckled yet again, he loved you a lot, but you had a tendency to be a little scatterbrained. "oh, what would you do without me, chiquita?" he teased you as you pouted. he opened his locker, where there were photos of you two decorating the back of his locker's door, and with some of your stuff with him; notebooks, folders, pencil cases and books, and of course, your spare glasses if you ever lost your main pair. he handed them to you with a slight eyebrow raise and pout to match your expression. "for you, mi amor." he gestured so gallantly as you playfully rolled your eyes. "you practicing your spanish on me because of our test later, or because you want to impress me?" you quizzed him as you put on your glasses, him laughing a little at your bluntness. "come on, can't your boyfriend call you his one and only, linda?" he asked you sweetly as he took your hand. "you look really pretty with your glasses on, and even when they're off... i can't take my eyes off you."

gwen would have thought that a few lowlife bullies stole your glasses when she caught you in between periods at the hallway, wandering about, your hand extended in front of you slightly as you tried to weave your way through the crowd. gwen rushed over to you, knowing how bad your eyesight was, she was worried you'd bump into someone or something. she took your hand as she called your name, and you stopped. recognizing that voice, you turned your head to look at a fuzzy image of light blonde hair with light blue blobs on a face that looked distortedly concerned. "oh, hey gwinny." you said awkwardly, hoping it was gwen. "hi, where, uh, where are your glasses?" she asked you, to which you laughed nervously at that, scratching your cheek all the while, trying to come up with the right way to say it. "i... left them at home." you admitted. gwen sighed. "this is the, what, third time this month?" she asked as she held on to you tighter. you chuckled again. "ah, fourth time, actually." you corrected her as she shook her head and cracked a smile. "you can still read my handwriting, right?" "takes a while to register since you write your 'b's and 'p's so similarly, but i can manage. thanks, gwinny." you thanked her as she playfully hit your arm and smiled. "you owe me a tutoring session tonight for this."

pav would not have realized you needed glasses until he noticed how close you were to the papers that were posted on the bulletin board when he came up to you. "whatcha reading?" he'd ask you as he crept up towards you, and you'd've yelped a little in surprise, unsure who was in front of you until you saw a blurry shape of his signature hair. "now either it's spider man or it's just you, pav." you remarked sarcastically as pav grinned at you. "come on, don't kid around, you know it's me! spider man's not as dashing as i am, you know." he said. "sorry, you're just really blurry right now." you muttered as you rubbed your eyes. he tilted his head to the side. "blurry? wait... do you need glasses?" he asked, to which you perked up and looked at his direction. "...yeah." pav nodded as he leaned closer towards you. "well that explains why you keep leaning over to my side when we're in class, copying notes." he said as he brushed your hair off your face and smiled radiantly at you. "i've got you, though. i'll be by your side all day, i'll help you out as much as you need me to!" he beamed. "man, i really do wanna see you in glasses, though. bet you'd look super cute in them, and, oh, to have me pushing them up on your face when they're about to fall off..." he teased you as you blushed and pouted at him. "in your dreams, prabhakar." you spat at him as he chuckled.

hobie would have been slightly confused as you kept looking at the ground as you walked, and hastily looked up and around, waving your hands around as you tried to tread your way through the rows of people walking past you. he rushed over to you, concerned about what might've come over you. "you alright? you seem a little uncomfy." he asked you with a tone of slight worry as you looked up at the tall boy, making out a blurry image of his wicks and his dark skin as he placed his hand on your shoulder. "oh, don't tell me you got your lenses nicked off you." he said with a small smirk. you shook your head. "they weren't nicked, just... i lost them last night, and now i have to get replacements." you said with a sad sigh. hobie chuckled. "what's your eye grade?" he asked as he took your hand in his own larger ones. you blushed at the touch but cleared your throat to answer him. he nodded and smirked wider. "y'know, you could get yourself some replacements, go ahead, it's your personal liberty; but i'd... i'd like to make you some custom frames, courtesy of your beloved hobart. what do you say?" he asked as he leaned closer to you. "i'd... like that a lot." you admitted. "wonderful. now, let me make sure you don't stumble over your own cute little feet." he said as he lifted you up and carried you in a bridal style manner, out of concern you might bump into someone or something, of course.

Bricktober day 14- Time Travel/Modern

People do you understand how much I love R & Jehan. They are amazing. Also when I discovered this fandom (in June my gods has it only been that long I've got 300 bookmarks of these idiots already) I thought '' hell nah I can't write les mis the fics are all so good and I'm not that good". Cut to-me on day 14 of a Les Mis Writing Challenge, with a hp crossover planned, the beginnings of an afterlife au, and So. Many. Documents. About. Them. ANYYYWAY ENJOY!

Jehan sighs. Honestly, he is rather surprised something like this hadn’t happened sooner. With such friends as Les Amis and such roommates as Courfeyrac and Grantaire, you take your life into your hands daily. That being said, he really hadn’t expected to come back to Eponine, Gavroche, R, and Courf standing outside next to two slightly singed canvases, looking sheepish as their building burned.

Maybe a little bit of context might help. See, Eponine and Gavroche have been friends with R for years. He doesn’t know the whole story, but from what he’s seen and heard and the fact that more often than not the siblings are sleeping in R’s bed while he’s on the sofa, he can make a few guesses. So that explains their presence.

Jehan had had to leave early that morning for a lecture but neither R nor Courf nor Eponine had any classes, the lucky sods. So that left the three of them in close proximity with the chaos demon that is Gavroche. Obviously, something was going to go wrong. He just hadn't expected it to be this wrong.

He pulled out his phone and texted the Les Amis group chat. 'Hey guys, R, Courf, Gavroche, and Eponine have burnt down our place, we'll need somewhere to sleep tonight. Xxx'

Sending it, he walks over to his friends. “Care to explain what happened here?”

Courf winces. “Jehan! Dear heart! It- is really R’s story to tell!”

“You fucker.” R mutters, before beaming very widely. “Jehan! Fancy seeing you here, dear friend of mine!”

Jehan says nothing but raises an eyebrow.

R gulps. “Well- You see- Er-” He decides being deliberately obtuse is the best idea. “The building’s on fire.”

Jehan internally rolls his eyes, but keeps a stoic expression. His other eyebrow joins the first.

R casts around for something helpful. “I- well, you see- Ah! I rescued your notebooks!” He reaches behind him and produces a large stack of notebooks, varying in shapes and sizes. “And you keep your books at Ferre’s anyway! So everything’s fine!”

“Yes, R, but why did my notebooks need rescuing in the first place?”

R pauses, as if he hadn’t quite thought of that. In all fairness, he probably hadn’t.

“Ah. Well.. Eponine?”

“No. No, I am not being dragged into this.”

“Well, you were there when it happened, and you didn’t stop us, which is- er- makes you an accessory to the crime! Quod Erat Demonstratum and that?” Courf says. Eponine gives him the most deadpan look possible.

"Courfeyrac, I know you aren't quoting law at me. Because that would be a very bad idea, wouldn't it?” She asks dangerously. Eponine doesn't take well to anyone other than Cosette using laws to attempt to coerce her. After all, she knew the criminal justice system of Paris inside out by the time she was ten. Few in their friend group know law better than her.

“Erm-yes. What you said. Anyway, I agree with R, you should tell Jehan what happened.”

“I can do it!” Gavroche interjects, mischief clear in his eyes.

Instantly, three hands shoot over his mouth. “No, really, Gav, that won’t be necessary.”

“Actually, I think I would like to hear Gavroche’s version of events.” Jehan says. He knows that out of the four of them, Gavroche is most likely to tell him the truth, or at least something close to it.

“Are you quite sure?” R asks hopefully.

“Entirely. Gavroche?”

“Now, just out of curiosity, and bear in mind that I'm being generous here, how much would you consider a fair price for this information?" Gavroche enquires, business mode on. Jehan, unfortunately for him, is having none of it.

"Gavroche, the building is on fire. I have little doubt that you contributed largely to the fire in question. There are three people here who would, I am sure, happily let you take the blame."

R looks affronted. Courf mutters to Eponine "Damn, busted." She promptly kicks him in the shin.

Ignoring their antics, Jehan continues. "So why don't you tell me precisely what happened, hmm?"

Never let it be said that Jehan, finding his friend in possession of an Inspector for her step-father, turns down the chance to learn such skills as negotiating with criminals, par example.

"All right, but you owe me. See, R was painting and Ep was reading, so I was bored. So I nicked Courf and we went up onto the roof and experimented with the fire escapes. Then we decided that it was a night for marshmallow toasting, so we went back down and stole R's candles and mini marshmallows, as you do. Things were going well until R came out to join us. See, by this point Ep was asleep. So someone had the genius idea to paint something on her face."

"And that someone would have been.."

Gavroche points at Courf, who was currently fighting Eponine. She was winning.

"I see. Go on."

"So, basically, R went and got his paints. Only he tripped on-er-something that might have been left on the floor. Then-"

"Something that might have been left on the floor." Jehan says flatly, staring at Gavroche.

"Well- OK, something I might have left on the floor despite Ep telling me to move it. Does it matter?"

"Please, continue." Jehan states in lieu of an answer.

"Right, so R tripped and the paints hit the candles, which fell over onto the newspaper, which-"

"Hold up a second, there was newspaper?"

Gavroche looks at him like he was an idiot. "Yeah, else the wax would have gotten everywhere."

"Right. Of course."

"Anyway, the newspaper went up in flames, so the cupboard door caught on fire, the one with R's wine in it. So then there was a bang and everything went fiery so Courf grabbed the cat, R got your notebooks and his sketchbooks, Ep got R's current commission and I got his painting of Enj. Then we called the firefighters then you arrived."

Jehan thought through the explanation. In summary, it was everyone's fault but mostly Gavroche and Courf's. So technically he should be a bit mad. Although R had got his notebooks, which was nice. (he already kept his books at Ferre's in case of a scenario like this). "Why did you get the painting of Enjolras?"

Gavroche looked over at the painting in question. "Ah, well, because R's hopelessly in love with Enj and I have it on good authority that Enj feels the same, only neither of them will say anything, so when Enj and Les Amis comes he'll see the painting and maybe realise. Also it's really pretty and R would have been sad if it burned, even if he didn't say so."

"Whatever he's been saying, Jehan, it's all rumour, scandal, and lies!" R shouted across.

"Gavroche, if that works I will buy you a bag of sweets so big the sugar high will last for days." Jehan whispered.

Just then, there was a screech of wheels and Bahorel's van hurtled around the corner. It skidded to a halt, the rear doors opened, and Feuilly, Joly, Bossuet, Musichetta, Cosette, Combeferre, and Enjolras tumbled out.

Bahorel leaped out of the driver's seat and the horde rushed over. While they were all surrounding R, Eponine and Courf, Jehan noticed Enjolras staring at the painting. R noticed and went pink.

"So, last for days you said?"

"Uh-uh, it's not happened yet."

Before Jehan's very eyes, however, Enjolras practically dived across, pounced on R, and kissed him. There was silence.

R said something too quiet for anyone but Enjolras to hear, but whatever it was it made said leader kiss him again.

Only Courf wolf-whistling broke them apart.

Jehan laughed. "Alright, I'll take you to the sweet shop. Bear in mind that if you casually mention this to Ferre, he'd probably buy you a mansion if he had the money. After all, he's been dealing with a lovesick Enjolras for years."

"You reckon? Nice."

1. How many works do you have on Ao3? ~155. Approximate count because some are podfics of my work back when it was the convention to make the writer also an author. And I have some stuff posted in an anonymous collection which I don't think get counted in works despite counting into other stats.

2. What's your total Ao3 word count? 487,897. I will hopefully be cracking half a million this year!

3. What fandoms do you write for? Currently Batman, Star Wars, Foundation, Shadowhunters, Lord of the Rings, whatever random thing catches my attention.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? Double Blind [Daredevil/MCU] Exit Strategy [Batman] Surveillance [Batman] Extension [Batman] Victory Braid [Lord of the Rings]

5. Do you respond to comments? Very sporadically. Mostly for comments where there was something specific I wanted to respond to or comments from someone who prompted/inspired the fic. I feel a bit bad that I don't because I love all comments but it's a lot of energy for me that I could instead be putting into more writing.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Probably Everything I Build (Is Breaking Down).

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I'm a sucker for a happy ending so there's a lot to choose from! Maybe Rearrange.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Not a lot, but people have left some truly unhinged stuff on Exit Strategy. I delete/block where needed.

9. Do you write smut? I'm not good at it. There might be like 3 sentences and a fade to black.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you have written? I write a lot of fusion AUs but not many crossovers. There's probably some weird ones in my older stuff!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Full reposting, not that I know of. I did find that someone basically rewrote one of my fics, with extremely specific details, and that didn't feel great.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, many of my fics have been translated :)

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? A lot of my fics are based on prompts so kind of collaborative in that way, but the actual words on the page writing bit is pretty solitary for me.

14. What's your all time favorite ship? X-Wing. Iconic.

15. What is a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Still pained by my Les Mis Olympics AU WIP.

16. What are your writing strengths? I think I do a fun mix of humor and angst in my writing. Maybe word selection, I am obsessed with finding the best word with the most appropriate connotations. And perseverance, I will finish fics years later.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Extreme slowness. All vibes, no plot. Cannot write fic longer than 15k.

18. Thoughts of writing dialogue in another language in fics? I think generally I prefer to write in English and dialogue tag that someone said something in a different language. Occasionally I do the italics to indicate or don't do italics but use Google Translate which inevitably goes poorly. This reminds me that someone sent me a translation fix comment and I need to go see if I can find that.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Yeah, it was probably Harry Potter. Tehanu by Ursula K LeGuin - I'd recommend the whole Earthsea Cycle but Tehanu is particularly gorgeous.

Howls Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones - This is one of my favourite books ever, every time I read it I basically don't stop until it's done. DWJ writes some of my favourite books of all time tbh, mostly children's lit, but like, really good children's lit. I still really enjoy the Chrestomanci Series as well.

4. a book l've read twice or more

There are a lot of books that fit this. If I like a book I'll read it at least twice. Probably one of my most re-read books is actually an anthology called The Golden Book of Faerie by O.R. Melling. It was so influential on my outlook as a writer, Melling just has this really beautiful way of tying the ancient to the everyday that I've always enjoyed. It's technically 4 books and like 1000 pages but I've read it probably 10 times over the years.

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini - I can't even remember where I came across the recommendation or if I just happened to pick it up during an ebook sale, but it looked really interesting. It's set in Afghanistan and spans from the Soviet Invasion to post-Taliban.

I didn't get very far into Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao but I would like to revisit it sometimes soon. I was just really distracted at the time and I just never picked it up again. But I've heard a lot of good things.

Když se to ve stavu, v jakym si to normální člověk nekoupí, dá koupit za cenu kolem 2k tak proč ne.

Q: "K čemu ti to bude?" A: "Když tvořim mapu do Warcraftu tak ten World Editor vznikal, společně s hrou, na přelomu milénia. Kvuli tomu využívá jenom jedno jádro a generování stínů trvá celý hodiny. Chlazení se z toho může posrat." Q: "No a? Máš několik notebooků a počítač." A: "To jo ale 2 ze 3 notebooků jsou ultrabooky a ty nejsou na dlouhou a intenzivní zátěž dělaný. Ten velkej je starej krám a do bedny si klasickej Warcraft 3 dávat nebudu protože by mi to dělalo bordel s Reforged v registru." Q: "Tak dělej mapu pro Reforged." A: "Ne! Reforged má neskutečně rozmrdanej editor, že i indickej start-up by to snad udělal líp, a navíc pak by mapa nebyla hratelná na nižších verzích."

Ta věc je dokonalá. Kromě RAM a úložiště (2x) se dá udělat upgrade CPU a GPU. Přesně takový možnosti by měl nabízet každej velkej notebook (všechno nad 14") kterej stejně většinu svýho života dřepí na jednom fleku protože nikdo normální se s 15+" nikam nevleče (s vyjímkou hráčů).

A ty ceny jsou fakt nízko. Pro porovnání - současná generace, G11, teď stojí od 28.490,- za 14" ořezávátko bez OS a postavený na AMD (CPU i GPU, bohužel…) do 150.990,- za 16" dělo. Výkonem je to o 10 let někde jinde ale na hobby účely dobrý.

Jenom si sečíst na kolik mě to vyjde celkově… Ale určitě si s tim vyhraju.

💖 What made you start writing? 🤩 Who is your favorite character to write? 🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

💖 What made you start writing?

I have always loved stories. I was that kid who'd always outlast the fairy tales at bedtime because I was to invested in the plot to fall asleep lol. But my first steaps towards writing started with a particular book.

When I was 8yo a fantasy movie droped called Eragon. I fucking loved this movie. We had it on dvd and I'd watch it over and over. The magic, the elves, the dragons, I loved it all. Now my mom realised that this could be a great chanse to get me to read more, and pushed me to try and read the book the movie was based on. I resisted at first, because books are boring and this was a very big book with no immages. Eventualy mom wore me down thank the stars, and I decided to give Eragon by Christopher Paolini a try.

I fucking devoured that book.

When I tell you that I read Eragon at least 14 times between the ages of 8-18 I'm probably being conservative! And then I learnt there was more than one book! In fact there were 3 by the time I finaly got ahold of them in swedish, and I read book 2 and 3 just as many times as the 1st. I was 13 when the 4th and final book came out and I have never cried so hard over the end of a story. These books shaped everything that I am today. They were my first step into fantasy, reading, dragons, magic, all of it! They saved my life at a time when I realy didn't want to keep living anymore.

But how did this spur my love for writing? See one day when I was... I wanna say maybe 10 or so, I learnt that Paolini was just 15 when he wrote and published Eragon. And little baby me thought if he could do it, why not I! I was already a pro at making up stories for me and my few friends to play, or when we had to write fiction for school, and I had devoured every bit of fantasy I could get my grubby little preteen hands on, so I just grabed a notebook and got to work. And then I just... never really stoped. I still remember my first ever protagonist, Mikene or 'Mi' for short, running from evil soldiers in the rain and hidding in the forest with her friends. The notebooks are still somewhere, maybe she'll make a comeback some day.

I still have that original Eragon book mom got me. It's held together with tape and prayers now, and it's still as magical as it was when I was 8.

Right now I've been on a Thranduil binge, but I honestly prefer to write a lot of different characters. I feel like trying out as many different voices amplifies them all as individual, and it gives me a chanse to experiment with internal language and personality.

Though I am starting to wonder were the line goes between fanfiction and original fiction truly goes with some of these OCs and their stories😅

I just can't. 'Normal' realistic fiction as well it just, like, the Vibes are Not It. Something in my brain just doesn't work that way. I have a few exceptions for consuming realistic fiction, namely Sherlock Holmes, Dan Brown, and some realistic horror like Hannibal, but for writing? Nope nopety nope.

If we're doing a genre that I don't absolutely hate and would honestly like to be good at; probably detective stories. I love Sherlock Holmes in all the itterations out there, and I'm pretty good at riddles and puzzles, but something in the enginering of it all falls short. Tbf that probably just means I should write more detective stuff but eh.

At the end of the day my heart belongs firmly to fantasy and that has not changed in almost 20 years, though I don't mind branching put into horror and scifi to.
