"Good" Acting

i have a theory that a lot of people say acting is "good" when they're emotionally moved by it, and a lot of cishet white people have a lifelong habit of not listening or empathising when minoritised people speak, so minority actors get called "bad" even when they display some pretty fucking amazing technical skill

i love the fact that ian seems to always surprise me. just as i think i’ve got every member down, he always has some ability or interest that throws me for a loop.

he can do laps around the cast. he actually is well versed in music. he is a car enthusiast. a highway enthusiast. a history nerd. he eats everyone up in jenga??

i really love it. i love when he’s included in videos because it just feels like a reminder of how great he is and also how multi-talented he is

I love how Luo Wenzhou refers to Fei Du as a precious, fragile vase. It is so evocative of his protectiveness towards him and of how scared he is of hurting him accidentally. Also I love "the vase was normally kept under glass, and he still thought that wasn't safe enough". It is such a beautiful way to describe Luo Wenzhou's feelings at the moment.

He had became a level 12 wizard with a hell of a handicap, and with that handicap absent beyond its lingering scar, it's like all his previous mastery finally returned--and with force, mind you, like a strike of lightning. In a way, one could compare him to a runner stripped of their weights. He'd learned unparalleled control with an arcane bomb strapped, but now no longer fearing his imminent explosion, is free, as goes the metaphor, to cast a god damned marathon. And Gale is learned. Rather, he's disgustingly learned. He knows all schools of magic, is qualified to teach every field in Blackstaff, and he doesn't serve his city or own his own floating realm, but he'll once again become archwizard in those ways that matter--in his ability to cast and his hellish ferocity. Maybe he won't become as great as he had been with Mystra, but as a former chosen, it's a helluvan accomplishment. In time, Gale Dekarios becomes Gale, professor at Blackstaff, but as a testament to his ability, the city again warms to the idea of Gale of Waterdeep--because she's really only one Gale one could possibly need.

Of course, he doesn't advocate for the title... But it still delights him.

It's so satisfying to finally have Quinn at level 10 for all the skills

I'm honestly not sure which Mastery to try for first tho...I'm thinking either fishing or foraging, but the trinkets you get from combat are pretty useful

Ultimately I think fishing will be more useful tho, especially since I'm using the riverland farm map

I also need to remember to put crab pots down at the beach since I still need to "catch" certain "fish" like the lobster and shrimp—idk why it doesn't count the crab you can get from the mines or the forageable shellfish like the oyster or clam that you pick up as having been caught, like yeah you didn't pull it out of the water but you did obtain it yourself instead of buying it
