Shaved zucchini salad. To prepare for the monstrous zucchini plants that voluntarily started growing across our gardens, I’ve been saving up a whole bunch of great zucchini recipes… only to have no fruit on any of our plants, so late in the season! So here I am with tons of delicious recipes and no in-house zucchini to use them up on :( but our local farmers market came to the rescue!

I wanted something fresh and healthy tasting for lunch, and I thought this would fit the bill… not realizing you added entire cup of grated cheese at the end, ha! I actually think this recipe would be great (and better than it was?) without the Parm and if you chilled the zucchinis in advance. It was good, but I was really after something a little bit more refreshing, and I think this recipe could support that. Maybe just add a few big shavings of parm at the very end to plate!

Kantha, the ancient embroidery tradition from India, can be traced back to the first or second century. The needlework gave new life to old cloth by upcycling and repurposing various fabrics. Traditionally, the technique was used to create quilts, encompassing layers of old cotton or silk cloth sewn together using a running stitch, or kantha stitch, of coarse thread.

This is nothing more than a quick reference post for myself: I found this photo, and tracked down the recipe, more than two years after I made it, ha!

Two things I know for sure: I used pomegranate molasses instead of fresh pomegranate seeds (which just weren't available), and it wasn't a 5/5 star recipe. Based on a few clues, I suspect it was good but nothing extraordinary.

#sundayfunday Tonight we had a Mediterranean feast!!! I got a wild hair yesterday and decided that today would be falafel day and hummus day... and then I added on pitas too! 🧆 🥙 ❤️🥙🧆 It was a day of new cooking adventures and it was really quite fun and easy! Thanks @alisapalmer for the share of @seriouseats easy falafel recipe! It was in fact just that and so flavorful! I’m pretty sure @toddtalkpodcast and I both made ourselves sick from our delighted indulgence! 🤤 🤩 I made homemade pita breads care of @testkitchen bread book and @177milkstreet easy, smooth, creamy & mega flavorful hummus that was next level! And Todd insisted on making garlic sauce which was DIVINE and the perfect accompaniment!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 It’s like garlic mayo on roids!!! I made a quick slaw and my own fast version of tzatziki sauce to go with everything and it was so damned good I can’t even tell you! P.S. when you make and eat the garlic sauce make sure everyone eats it... 😆🧄😷 What a fun and adventurous day for myself and my taste buds! Thanks boo, for your help in the kitchen!
