For the months of July, August, and September, we’ll be doing a mod spotlight on the last Fic Friday of the month!! We’ll have a set of predetermined questions for our mods to answer, which can be found in the form, and several questions from you all!

Mod Questions

I'm looking for a synth-skin mod. Something inorganic/metallic/robotic. Like Lizzy Wizzy or possibly like Shaitan's arm textures but, you know, all over. Any recommendations?

Just curious, why does it matter if confessions aren’t anonymous, and why do you post them if they’re not on anon and you want them to be?

Well, I prefer that you post anonymously to help you feel safer in posting your opinion. Anonymous confessions allow you to safely admit whatever you want (as long as you follow the rules)

As for the ones I posted that weren't anonymous, I do want to be able to share everyone's opinions, regardless if they did it anonymously or not. That is the whole reason I made this blog. I wanted a safe and secure place for people to share their thoughts on the wild era games.

Hi! I was thinking about signing up for the fest as an artist, but the form only mentions digital art, traditional art, and comics. I specialize in crochet, craft, and costume design. Would I be allowed to submit an art piece in one of those areas?

Thanks so much for reaching out—and we’d love to have you join the fest! While the form focuses on digital, traditional, and comic-style art, we’re happy to make an exception for original pieces in crochet, craft, or costume design, as long as it’s clear that the characters are from the Harry Potter universe.

Just a quick heads-up: it will be up to the writer whether they feel inspired to claim and interpret that kind of prompt. We want to be honest about that so you don’t end up disappointed if it doesn’t get matched. That said, we absolutely welcome creative expressions, and we’re excited about the possibility of having your work in the mix!

Hi, I'm looking for a way to change world names in the Sims 4. Does anybody know if @midnitetech 's Rename Worlds Mod still works? It seems like the easiest option and doesn't involve Sims 4 Studio which hasn't worked for me in the past.

Thank you for organizing this event for everyone! I'm excited to see the works that come out of this event. Will the work I submit to this event be visible with my other works on my AO3 account after it is revealed?

Answer:

When you submit to collection, at the link provided, your work will be hidden until the day it is scheduled to be revealed. When the fest starts, i can let you know what day it will be revealed. When it is revealed, people will see the collection with your title of story and your name. then they can click on your name and see other works by you. Simultaneously after reveal when people go to your page, it will also be there. So it'll be in two places at the same time giving it more exposure.

Why is my confession left without tags to not go any further than this account? That feels quite unfair. I wasn’t trying to be rude or imply they were being harmful, it was just my opinion about that post. I thought that this account was exactly for that.

Hi friend, thank you for your question. Here’s a quick overview of how it works: • You’re totally free to draw whatever you'd like, as long as it features a Harry Potter WLW pairing. • Once art submissions close, we’ll open writer claims. Writers will choose a piece of artwork that inspires them, and then write a story based on it. • After matches are made, we’ll check in with you and your assigned writer as you collaborate on your final pieces for the October posting period! • You’ll submit your art through a Google form (we’ll send that out closer to the submission deadline) and you can also post it on your own platforms when the fest goes live. We’ll be sending out more detailed emails with dates and reminders, but if you have any questions at all in the meantime, feel free to ask!
