hey so I do actually use my own tools to make mods (shocking I know) and it well past time to actually share some of the head's I've made. Wayward Faces is a small collection of 4 custom made heads I've made, and is also my last minute entry to week 3 of the BG3 modathon. Apologises for not posting a lot of my wips lately, I've been busy with a whole slew of things, but I have been working on quite a number of projects.

Sneak peek at a big and very exciting project !!
I am working on a tail accessory mod !
I haven't forgotten my ambition of making tail gear when I first started modding but I am taking things slow and simple for now.
I have 12 tail accessories ready out of 15 planned (the end number may change), then I can move on to testing and refitting. What you see here are the dangling accessories, but I also have simpler accessories like lace and bandages.
The planning stage is pretty much done but a lot of work still has to be done !
I am hoping to be done for the 2025 modathon, but who knows what the future holds ...
Signing out for my first vacation, I've been pretty much modding for a year straight at this point.

So Morrowind had quite a few quest mods release very recently as part of a modathon, and I played through (I think) all four of them.
Greymarch Dawn is a Jigglebags based faction mod that serves as a prequel to Shivering Isles and probably ended up my favorite of the lot. A lot of these had a lot of interesting scripting stuff in them, but Greymarch was the first that actually surprised me when I realized some of the tricks it was doing (particularly that the tower loops). I am not usually surprised like that, which shot it up to the top of the list. There's a lot of unique assets in it that are used effectively, and though it's relatively short, there's a lot packed into it.
Probably my only two criticisms (one of which was quickly rectified) was that the game's rewards were pretty basic looking (again, no longer the case), and that it ended up having a dwemer ruin when, honestly, not every mod needs to have a dwemer ruin.
Lord of Rebirth was a space pirateyesque mod that didn't have too much that surprised me, but had a lot of solid assets and design work in it. It was pretty short (all these mods kind of are), but there are a few nice set pieces overall. The rewards are a little lackluster in terms of appearance and some of the quests were a little bit too much "find this one thing" kind of stuff that I've grown to dislike, but overall it takes the #2 spot.
Halls of Colossus is, as the name implies, a mod that takes place in the Numidium's big storage tank, with a lot of time travel and time loops involved. By far this mod had the most impressive scripting of the three, and probably the most useful rewards overall with a lot of time manipulation spells. The basic premise was a lot of fun, very Dishonored 2.
BUT a lot of the actual visuals were really disappointing (in particular, the actual Numidium chamber was fairly undetailed and largely unlit, despite being the big climactic area). Fairly weak level design and lighting overall, with a few texture/mesh errors that needed my own patching. It also didn't really stick the landing, with the whole quest sort of just ending, more or less.
Finally, Terror of Tel Amur was the smallest of the four: a horror/house mod that mostly consists of a dungeon that becomes a house later.
This one was fairly basic and to be honest, I didn't enjoy it too much. Too much running around in overly dark corridors with not a lot of detail to make up for it while wondering if the things I could interact with were part of the quest I was doing, with not a particularly interesting payoff.
All in all, check them out.

I have no concepts for Morrowind Modathon mods this year... I may spend the time I took off on bugfixes for last year but I still need something fresh for participation credit....

Back when I did my HL2 modathon where I played through hl2 mods on steam, many of the puzzles I encountered were solved with grenades. So I used this phrase for whenever I got stuck in a hl2 puzzle.

Review of Thieves' guild in Gnaar Mok by Alice
Honestly, I ended up being super disappointed with this. I think it accomplishes what it says on the tin. But while it advertises 10 quests, and I like the overall plot presented by the quests, the actual quests are a bunch of 'talk to 1 npc then return for 500 gold'. The monetary reward is silly, as it rewards about 8k gold for what is honestly relatively easy thieves guild work.
There was 1 highlight and quest that I found fun and interesting which involved breaking some people out of the ministry of truth.
The quests have seemingly no alternatives to completing them(which, given we end up killing 4 people along the course of the quest, 1 of which absolutely should just be able to be resolved via a conversation), which was by all means disappointing.
The questline was completed by me in about 20 minutes. While I didn't expect unique models, having no rewards other than the same fixed sum for most of the quests was just very videogamey. The dialogue in general was also very much 'fit for purpose' and lacked flavour.
Other minor quibbles are the greeting based quest progression, rather than topic based. I was completely unable to find all of the required objects for the second quest, which absolutely may be on my head. The thieves guild is incredibly murderous and conspicuous in this. the quests should have been longer/less but stapled together.
For things I actually did like, as said, the overall plot is good, it's cute and appropriate, the scope of the quests feels appropriately mundane, with a little better delivery, I think it'd really have pulled it off.
Unfortunately I don't really have any as-modern alternatives to suggest, other than PTR. I wouldn't say it's an awful mod, and it's the work of one person and should be seen as such, but maybe a smaller scope would have been better. I won't be keeping it installed in further playthroughs.

Twenty-two years ago, on May 1st, Morrowind was released to an eager gaming and modding public, and what was at first a strange and alien land has become a home, a place we long to return to, a world we visit again and again, and though decades pass, we always come back.
But Morrowind isn't a static world, for modders have been building upon it, expanding it, improving it, reimagining it for 22 years, adding new adventures, new experiences, new lands to explore, new mechanics and new graphics, and so much more! After 22 years, not only does Morrowind still have an active modding community, but the Morrowind modding community has grown and expanded, and is now more active than ever, releasing over a thousand new mods every year!
And on this special anniversary, what better way is there to celebrate Morrowind's 22nd birthday than to continue to build upon it? As such, once again this year, we're hosting the 2024 Morrowind May Modathon Month Modding Competition, the tenth annual Modathon for the Morrowind Modding Community!
For the last 10 years, the Morrowind Modathons have served as an annual celebration for both Morrowind's anniversary and the modding community's creativity, celebrated every May 1st and lasting throughout the entire month of May! And this year, we're excited to announce, once again, that the Morrowind May Modathon Month is back for 2024, celebrating 22 years of Morrowind!
From May 1st through to June 2nd, modders can submit mods, earn achievement badges, and win prizes by using the May Modathon 2024 tag and the Morrowind Modathon 2024 header in their mod description on the Nexus! We have an exciting array of 94 achievement badges for modders to unlock with their mods, with achievements for competing in weekly themed challenges, category achievements, metric achievements, bronze, silver and gold achievements, and 27 hidden achievements - how many can you find? For a full list, check out our announcement thread over on the Nexus forums!
Over the last 10 years, 1300+ mods have been released for the annual Morrowind Modathon Month modding competitions, and with your help, we can add even more to that impressive tally, making this amazing game bigger and better than ever!
There is no better way to celebrate Morrowind's anniversary than building and releasing mods, and whether you're a modding veteran or a newbie just starting out with using the Construction Set, I hope you'll join us for the 2024 Morrowind May Modathon!
Participation is simple, any Morrowind mod released in May can be entered into the competition, just remember to include a tagline "Part of the May Modathon Month" (or the Morrowind Modathon 2024 header) near the top of your mod's description, or use the Modathon 2024 tag to enter your mod as part of the competition. You'll be automatically entered to potentially win one of our weekly random-drawing prizes, and of course, unlock achievements!
For more information, including rules, links to tutorials for first-time modders, and a complete list of achievements, check out our official announcement thread here on the Nexus forums or stop by our Discord channel!
As I always say, the best games never die! Happy modding and long live the Morrowind Modding Community!”

As the Morrowind Modathon continues into its second week, I've got an update on my project! I'm hoping to release a preview version of my companion and questline mod this week! It's a much bigger undertaking than I had originally planned, but I'm passionate about it and want to see it through to completion. Expect more details this week leading up to the release!

Devil Boo Replacer
Boo now looks quite devilish with glowing horns, glowing wings and a new longer glowing tail.
Available on Nexus and mod.io
Yes another one, I know. This one was trickier to get right, I had help for weight painting from @nikjima, a very good friend who took amazing screenshots. I only managed to melt Boo twice in my failed attempts to animate the wings.
Side note: I am going on vacation on the other side of the world for two weeks. I will still be able to get access to comments, but since it's my third replacer, I don't expect it to break, but if it does, and it does badly, fixing it will have to wait.
I am also working on a big and very exciting new mod that I hope to be able to release by the time the 2025 modathon starts !
