Peach or pancake, Hawks fat ass or Hawks flat ass? The internet splits in outcry.
His fans faction off—between the bubble butt truthers and the firm pancake believers.
Is it photoshop or a trick of light? Is it an illusion, a trick of an eye? Something of a phenomenon between the internet breaking over the gold or blue of a dress?
The answer is unclear. Inexplicable. Debated, between the ages of kids on the streets comparing the bounce of their handballs to the shape of Hawks' bubble, to the grandma and grandpas across the streets, adjusting their glasses to squint and ask 'what ass?'
The forums explode. Hawks' rankings and public approval skyrockets. Is it Hawks' FLAT ass or Hawks' FAT ass?
Hawks laughs with talk show hosts, gossips with magazine columns. Cheeky grin and another line about he's certainly eaten enough pancakes to become one, that leaves the world wondering—is he serious, or is it another joke?
And Hawks will be seen flying across the city from one pancake house to another, enjoying another delectable stack.
Hawks winks in front of cameras too, a juicy ripe peach bitten through in one hand, to announce to the world that he's doing just "peachy" and the cameras will follow him as his unfold to uncover the round shape of his very own peach, as he takes off for another flight.
There are photoshoots of Hawks from all his modeling gigs paired side by side like perfectly realistic detective boards across the web. Snaps of perfectly round globes of flesh shot from high quality camera lens of those who caught a fluttering Hawks across their skies, body hunched over as he lazily passes by. And then there are modeling shoots released on myherogram, some new pair of jeans for Best Jeanist' line and he's so painfully flat from every shot of an angle, every swipe of the post—an arguably perfect flat pancake.
It's the baggy give of his hero costume, it's not Hawks' actual ass.
It's the reality of Hawks' actual ass, the costume just hurries that fact along.
'Hawks got ass. Seen it in person,' HawksPlumpAss writes. 1451 ButtLikes. 578 Rebutts.
'Hawks got no ass. Accidentally brushed past me once and didn't feel a thing. That man is flat as a board,' User AForHawksStandsForAssless writes back. 1454 ButtLikes. 524 Rebutts.
'Pics or it didn't happen,' User HawksOneTrueAss demands. 3769 ButtLikes. 1769 Rebutts.
'Top-hero. Plush ass. You'd best believe,' User HawksUnsuspectingAss writes.
'mfs out here thinking pro-hero hawks has got nothing when he's constantly flying and saving lives...YOU KNOW BIRD BOIS GOT ASS' User HawksBirdAss screams into the void. 2170 ButtLikes. 727 Rebutts.
'Who you calling bird boi like he's yours or smthg???' User HawksOneTrueAss comments. 4069 ButtLikes. 2569 Rebutts.
'listen, realistically bro has a plush ass he works out hes a top hero u kno he has the muscle. logically.' User Dove explains, politely. Beautifully, flawless. Even User HawksOneTrueAss likes the post, rebutts it for the world to see.
And then there are those who swear, upon the fan sight meetings of Hawks on the streets that they know ass when they see it. The debate takes the heroic world by a storm, and Hawks never confirms or denies the rumors, never justifies or settles the matter.
On an unsuspecting afternoon after months and months of Hawks peach vs pancake, villain Dabi dubbed user HawksOneTrueAss across the socials, snaps a shot, uploads it. Puts the discussion to rest.
The photo shows what is undeniably pro-hero Hawks' familiar golden locks, framed against the bare of his muscled back and a pair of ruby red wings. A pair of pants are slipped half way up to his thighs, undeniably plush ass hanging out and scandalously--a purple scarred hand grabs a fist full of the delectable globe, middle finger stuck out.
"Hawks true FAT Ass," User HawksOneTrueAss comments. 6969 ButtLikes. 6969 Rebutts.
The internet goes off its rails.

Among the pottery figurines and line carvings of the Tang Dynasty, wearing 披袄/ Pī ǎo" is a very common combination, as well as winter clothing such as double-layered thick Pī bó(披帛)and Earmuffs(暖耳/Nuǎn ěr)
Tang Dynasty”Earmuffs”:暖耳(Nuǎn ěr):
The mural of Li Yong(李邕)'s tomb in Fuping, Shaanxi (the fifteenth year of Tang Kaiyuan, 727 AD),showing a woman wears 暖耳(Nuǎn ěr).

Lots of pictures from the Museum of Science and Industry!
I spent the weekend in Chicago with my dad and my sister and one of the main things we did was go to the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI)! I'd been once before, so I was very excited to go back, since it's one of my all time favorite museums! I ended up taking a lot of pictures of my fav exhibits, so I'll post some of the highlights here! It'll be a bit of a long post tho lol

Part 1 - German U-Boat U-505!
This was the first exhibit we went to, since my sister is really into maritime stuff (shipwrecks and ocean liners especially). I wasn't quite as into this one but it was still really cool to see something so big inside a building like this and it's one of only 4 German U-boats that are preserved as museum ships today. We didn't get the chance to do the onboard tour, but it was still really neat to see the submarine itself as well as all of the naval artifacts and models and stuff that were part of the larger exhibit

Part 2 - Space Hall!
This next exhibit was my favorite as I'm sure you can tell :3c This was all about space exploration and space transport vehicles and stuff like that! The first pic is a full-scale model of one of a lunar landers I believe (I don't remember if it was from the Apollo missions or the upcoming Artemis missions). Pics 2, 3 and 4 are all models of different vehicles that have taken people to space! They had a bunch there, but of course my two favs were the Saturn V and the Space Shuttle <33. The Saturn V model especially was HUGE. Then the last two pics are two different crew modules. The one on the left is the module for Apollo 8 from 1986, and the one on the right is the SpaceX Dragon module that docked with the ISS twice during the 2010s!

Part 3 - Boeing 727!
They had a huge exhibit about planes, the centerpiece of which was this United Airlines Boeing 727 suspended up on the upper level! It was the first 727 ever placed into commercial service and has all sorts of things cut out inside so you can see things like the cockpit, the inner workings of the engines, the baggage hold and other stuff like that. The main thing, like with the U-Boat, was just how big this things was. It was super impressive and I loved getting to look around it!

Part 4 - Misc Other Things
The first four pics here are part of their huge model train display that has a scale model of a lot of Chicago's most famous buildings as well as Seattle on the other end of the train tracks (hence why the Space Needle is there lol). Honestly I was more enamored by the landscaping and building models than the trains themselves (which were still cool dgmw!!) hence why I don't have any pictures of the actual trains lol. Then the last pic is racing driver Al Unser's 1978 Lola T800 car, which, along with some of his other cars, helped him to win the Indy 500, the Pocono 500 and the California 500. This pic I took more to show my mom because she's a huge IndyCar fan and I know she's talked a lot about watching Al Unser race when she was a kid haha.
Anyways, that's a brief summary of some of my fav stuff I saw at the MSI today! We saw a bunch of other exhibits too, but I didn't get pics of those. If you ever find yourself in or near Chicago and are a big museum fan like I am, I HIGHLY recommend checking this one out! It's up there with the Franklin Institute in Philly, the Natural History Museum in New York, and the Air and Space Museum in DC as one of my all time fav museums <3

airsLLide No. 10186: N772AS, Boeing 737-4Q8, Alaska Airlines, San Diego-Lindbergh Field, February 6, 1994
In 1992, the arrival of Alaska's first Boeing 737-400s marked the beginning of the end of the Seattle-based carriers intermezzo with operating in sizeable numbers an aircraft modell not developed by the local manufacturer Boeing. In the mid 1980s only, Alaska had replaced its fleet of ageing Boeing 727-200s with up to 48 McDonnell Douglas MD-80s, some of them inherited through the acquisition of Jet America in 1987.
During the 1990s, 40 Boeing 737-400 joined the fleet, and as Alaska was in a phase of massive growth, they initially did not fully replace the MD-80s, but initially pushed them aside on many domestic routes, especially on the flights linking the lower 48 with Alaska, while the MadDogs found themselves more and more on leisure flights to Mexico.

What would a 2903 exhibit look like at the MSI if he hadn't been moved to the IRM in the 90s?
Real talk, there wouldn't be a 2903 exhibit even in that event.
We've talked a bit about how 2903 isn't really what the MSI typically looks for in an exhibit. To recap, 2903 is not particularly notable, historically significant, or even rare as a preserved engine. He is Just Some Guy.
Our current theory on how he came to be donated to the MSI is that they had a general request for a steam engine out, same as they had for a submarine a decade before, and the ATSF (who were already sponsoring the model railroad) gave them 2903, one of several 2900's they had in storage and were trying to get rid of. The next year, the MSI were also given the opportunity to accept New York Central and Hudson River Railroad No. 999, who is a much better exhibit in every respect. But by that point, they already had this fuck-off huge steam engine on their lawn so what were they to do?

It's never been expressly stated anywhere, but I think that 2903 being a very late model steam engine compared to 999's much earlier model was at least a little bit of an excuse to have them both, but really I think they were just stuck with him at that point. I won't go so far as to say they'd rather not have had him at all, but that there wasn't much to truly say about him didn't do him any favors when the MSI decided to start moving their deteriorating outdoor exhibits indoors.
See, 2903 was really suffering from several detriments when it came time to figure out what to do with him. There wasn't much general information about him anywhere, he wasn't famous or well known or even particularly remembered, and he was heavy and big. Any one of those individual downsides would have left him outside, but unfortunately he had all of them.
Consider Pioneer's exhibit for a moment. Pioneer and his cars have an entire hall all to themselves. It was dug out underground and they were lowered into it with cranes. Together, their train weighs 208,061 pounds, but that's divided up between the three of them with Pioneer probably being a bit heavier than 505 and 570, obvs.

The reason they have a hall all to themselves is because they take up a lot of space and because there's enough interesting information about them to fill that space. The Pioneer Zephyr can carry an exhibit on their own and they're also not very heavy so the logistics of getting them underground were not so difficult.
Now consider 999's place in the Transportation Hall. She's probably a bit heavier than any one piece of the Zephyr train at 124,000 lbs, but she and her tender could be separated so moving her was not hard either, relatively speaking. The column was already taken out for 727 anyway. 999's also the smallest of the outdoor exhibits and comparatively takes up much less floor space.

She cannot, however, carry an exhibit on her own. Even knowing what we do know about her, there's still not enough information to fill more space than she actually occupies and so her exhibit is not only about her specifically but also steam engines in general. Moreover, her exhibit is also a smaller part of a larger tableau exhibit about transportation. She would never have been considered for a hall of her own.
And it bears remembering that U-505 spent another ten years on the lawn before they figured out how to lower his 1,120 tons underground.
So 2903, who takes up 1342 square feet, weighs 882,365 lbs, and barely has enough to say about him to fill a placard? It's tough to say goodbye, but there was just no place inside the MSI for 2903.
So if the IRM hadn't taken him?
I would hope that some railway museum somewhere else would have wanted him, but I'm not sure if a further (and necessarily smaller) museum would have been able to manage it logistically, let alone financially. Getting 2903 even as far as Union was also an immense undertaking. It took them ten days to pull him a mile along leapfrogged track to the nearest railroad.

Everything worked out for the best, though and 2903 is exactly where he's supposed to be.

i thought southwest was all 737s?? why does she look so stubby???
Southwest is all 737s, yes! It's wild how quickly the 737's reputation has changed because they used to be The stubby plane.
There are four 'generations' of 737 - original (100/200), Classic (300/400/500), Next Generation (600/700/800/900), and MAX (8M/9M/7M and 10M when those enter service). The first 737 model from all the way back in the 60s, the -100, looked like This:
(They only made 30 of them and they were basically all Lufthansa's, but I think NASA might still have one)
Because, you see, the 737 was intended to be strictly a short-range jet carrying small amounts of passengers and because of that it was absolutely teeny. It was actually meant to compete with planes as small as the Fokker F28, and in modern terms I'd compare it to something like an A318 or E170 (except far more limited in range). Original 737s operated routes you'd probably use props for today. They were literally made to take over on routes too small and low-capacity for the 727.
(Check out those weird stretched out nacelles - those are JT8Ds, and they're most prominently also used on the DC-9 but you can also find them on some 727s, some Caravelles, and one of my favorite obscure failed airliners, the Dassault Mercure. Get a long, little engine, they said. You can tell original 737s apart from Classics because those ones have regular(ish) engines.)
Then for some reason Boeing just kept stretching her?
737-200 of United Airlines | 737-300 (Classic) of LOT Polish Airlines
737-500 (Classic) of Southwest Airlines | 737-600 (Classic) of Air Algérie
737-700 (NG) of Southwest Airlines | 737-800 (NG) of Southwest Airlines
737 MAX 8 of Southwest Airlines
And now they're comparable to 757s, for some reason. I have a massive soft spot for the old stubby 737s. To me that's what a 737 is supposed to be. But the -800 was the most produced until the MAX 8, which I believe has similar numbers, so those are what people are most used to seeing if they grew up after the 727 era.
As for Southwest, they operated the 200, 300, and 500, and right now they operate the 700, 800, and MAX 8. They're planning to replace the 700s with MAX 7s, but those aren't getting built yet...so you got to see the 700, which, despite all the stretching, manages to hold onto some of the stubby glory the 800 and MAX lost. I think the Southwest livery looks extra good on her because of it 😊

Boeing 737-800 Sun Country Airlines
Registration: N813SY Type: 737-8Q8 Engines: 2 × CFMI CFM56-7B26 Serial Number: 28237 First flight: Jan 29, 2001
Sun Country Airlines was established in July 1982 by a group of former Braniff International Airways employees, which ceased operations in May of that year. Among its founders were pilots and flight attendants who, after losing their jobs following Braniff’s collapse, aimed to create a new airline focused on leisure charter services. The initiative was led by Ken Sundmark, who, alongside Bob Daniels, co-founder of Mainline Travel Inc., proposed the idea of a charter carrier. Captain Jim Olsen played a key role in the founding, becoming the first president and CEO of the airline, as well as its chief pilot. His wife, Joan Smith-Olsen, took on the roles of senior flight attendant and head of flight operations, significantly contributing to the development of the company’s operational structure. Sun Country’s first flight took place on January 20, 1983, from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Las Vegas, Nevada, using a leased Boeing 727-200. The initial workforce consisted of just 36 employees: 16 pilots, 16 flight attendants, three mechanics, and one office worker.
In the 1990s, Sun Country began transitioning from solely charter services to scheduled flights, launching regular services from Minneapolis to major U.S. cities in 1995. In 1999, the airline was acquired by a Minnesota-based investment group led by William La Macchia Sr., after which it officially became a scheduled carrier, competing with Northwest Airlines. This period saw the expansion of its route network to include international destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean.
As of March 2025, Sun Country’s fleet comprised 46 passenger and 15 cargo Boeing 737-800 aircraft, serving approximately 140 destinations across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Sun Country Airlines occupies a unique niche in the U.S. aviation industry, balancing three business segments: scheduled passenger services (70% of revenue), charter flights (20%), and cargo operations (10%). This hybrid model enables efficient resource allocation, crew management, and aircraft utilization across segments, minimizing seasonal revenue fluctuations.

✨💖Positivity chain! List 5 to 10 things that make you smile and explain why! Send to others who also make you smile✨💖
Thank you! I haven't felt all that positive lately so I'm sorry I can only think of one positive thing for this post, but on the bright side it's one of the things I love the most in life- aircraft!
I'm going to add pictures 👉👈
I was in Chicago recently and got to see one of my favorite planes, the Junkers Ju-87 Stuka. It was a German dive bomber during WWII and was most well known for its "Jericho Trumpet" which was a terrifying siren that activated when it dived towards the ground (though this specific one doesn't have Jericho Trumpets on it)
There are only two Ju-87s in complete condition in the world, and this one is the only one in North America. This aircraft also served in the North African campaign and even has battle damage on it still
The Spitfire hanging up behind the Stuka is a combat veteran of The Battle of Britain so that was pretty neat to see too, I love early model Spitfires. The Boeing 727 (big silver United airplane) was also super cool to see and go inside of!

And then this is a picture I took of a row of TBM Avengers at an airshow dedicated specifically to this type of aircraft

New Post has been published on https://www.vividracing.com/blog/best-racing-transmissions/
Best Racing Transmissions for Specific Vehicle Makes and Models

When it comes to shaving seconds off your ET or putting more power to the track, your choice of racing transmission matters just as much as your engine build. High-power, high-torque mills need a transmission that won’t crumble under throttle but also shift fast enough to keep the engine in its ideal powerband.
Whether you’re launching a Pro Mod down the strip or building a weekend warrior, pairing the right performance transmission with your vehicle make and model is key to reliability, speed, and control. Let’s break down some of the best racing transmission options by some popular drag racing vehicle types so you can choose the setup that fits your build.
1. Chevrolet: Powerglide Dominance
If you’re building a GM drag car, such as a first gen Camaro, early 70s Chevelle, or even an 80s S10, odds are you’re looking at a Powerglide. Known for its simplicity and strength, this 2-speed racing transmission is a go-to for bracket racers and Pro Mod builds.
Why it works: Fewer shifts, less weight, and durable components built for high-torque launches.
Best models to pair with: Camaro, Nova, Chevelle, Corvette, S10, Monte Carlo, El Camino
Popular upgrade path: Add an aftermarket case, billet input shaft, and deep filter pan to ensure durability past 1,000 HP.
2. Ford: C4, C6, and 4R70W for Versatile Builds
Ford fans don’t have to look far for solid performance transmission options. The C4 and C6 have long been race staples—both of which were introduced in the mid-60s. The 4R70W offers electronic control for street or strip use, and it’s a good fit for modern engines.
C4: Light and perfect for small-block builds (Mustang, Fairlane, Falcon).
C6: Heavy-duty transmission suited for big blocks and trucks.
4R70W: Great balance of old-school toughness and modern control, ideal for modular engine swaps.

3. Dodge/Mopar: 727 TorqueFlite Rules the Strip
The 727 TorqueFlite is a legendary transmission in Mopar circles—and for good reason. It’s built to handle the brute power of HEMIs and big-blocks with minimal fuss. It’s one of the most bulletproof racing transmissions available.
Ideal pairings: Dodge Dart, Charger, Challenger (classic or resto-mods)
Consider adding a manual valve body and hardened internals for serious performance.
Combine with a high-stall converter and you’re ready for the track.
4. LS Swaps: The Turbo 400 and 4L80E Standouts
LS swaps are a popular option, producing a ton of reliable power from a serviceable engine. And, whether it’s going in a G-body, Fox body, or full custom build, an LS swap needs a performance transmission that can handle torque and abuse. The TH400 and 4L80E are up for the task.
TH400 (Turbo 400): Extremely durable, easy to find, and simple to modify. Popular for high-horsepower drag and street builds.
4L80E: Offers overdrive and electronic control for street/strip versatility.
Great match for: Silverado swaps, GTO, late-model F-body, and restomod Corvettes.
5. Imports: Manual Gearboxes with Race-Ready Upgrades
While domestic builds dominate the auto performance world, import drag racers aren’t left out.
Honda K-Series: Pair with a Quaife or PPG gearset for insane high-RPM shifting, taking full advantage of that VTEC powerband.
Nissan 350Z/370Z: Upgrade the OEM 6-speed with a twin-disc clutch and short-shifter for track consistency and sharp, fast shifts.
Toyota Supra (MK4): Many swap the V160 6-speed or go full race with a TH400. Considering how expensive the V160 is now (over $15,000 since its discontinuation), the TH400 is a great option.

Things to Consider When Choosing a Racing Transmission
When you’re searching for racing transmission products on any page, it’s tempting to sort by price or popular items, but here’s what really matters:
Application-specific design: Not every transmission is meant for every car or race format.
Availability of internal components like gearsets, drums, and servos (it needs to be serviceable)
Will it fit your current cart of parts and build goals?
If you’re unsure, don’t guess—get advice from pros who know how to match the right trans to your car.
Final Thoughts
The right racing transmission isn’t just about gear ratios—it’s about matching performance, durability, and reliability to your exact build. From warriors to modern electronic beasts, each transmission on the market has its place.
Take the time to research, build smart, and shop wisely. With the right components in your cart, you’ll be one step closer to domination at the track. And, if you need help choosing, contact us.
