FTII has mounted "one of the most modern" colour gradings and correcting software for films available in the marketplace at a value of over Rs1 crore.
FTII has claimed to be the first and only film faculty in India to put in the software program.
Suite, based on the Baselight V5 Virtual Intermediate, will keep the institute and its students enough money and time for the duration of post-manufacturing, as in advance films have been despatched out for grading and correction said a senior official of the FTII.
"Color grading and correction may be significant within the post-manufacturing method for films. However, due to the fact we did no longer have this suite earlier, we should send it out to film laboratories in Mumbai. Now that we have this base light suite, our students can create paintings on films on the campus itself. In reality, at once after its inauguration this week, the first movie is already being processed there," Bhupendra Kainthola, the director of FTII, stated.
