the fort i've just started is one i've been thinking about doing for a while, as a sort of halloween-time appropriate one, where i try to play as bad guys for once instead of avoiding combat with cage traps or locked doors like i usually do in my games. i started on a volcano embark, and my greater plan is to make a big evil bowser fortress full of skulls and lava rivers and put statues of demons all about the place, and make it really big and pretty and expensive and free to visit so that everyone will want to come visit it, and are welcome to..... If they dare. whenever traders come to trade i will steal all their stuff and laugh evilly and run away with it, and decorate the fort entirely and only with items stolen off of other civilizations in this manner. once i've done this to enough traders and visitors they hopefully will come try and siege me to get it back for being naughty, but will have to go through sinisterly designed traprooms and lava rivers and evil minecart rides to get into the fort. i just figured out how to drop pianos on people. which is all to say that acquiring Moonluck to make whatever people actually own it mad at me so they come into my evil lair and either kill me or i get to drop a piano on them in a room decorated with laughing skulls fits perfectly into my dastardly plan

Unfortunately i started in a 'good' biome so unicorns and fairies keep spawning outside and playing beautiful chime music and ruining the aesthetic. But i can work with it.

i don't always know what my goal is going to be when i start a new fort. but it's likely going to be tracking down and getting this artifact due to it having one of the best generated names i've seen in my games so far

Odette Moonluck was born and raised in Valedale Village, her family is native to Jorvik. Her family comes from the first few settlers to arrive on Jorvik. Odette’s family is considered Jorvik’s most wealthy families. She grew up alongside Anne Von Blyssen and they’re very good friends, Odette met the Soulriders through Anne as well as spending the summer in Mooreland Stables.

Personality: Odette’s personality is very explicit but sweet at the same time, her nickname is “The Swan of Jorvik” due to her elegant and simplistic nature but when provoked she’s on a war path. Due to Odette having a history of ballet training she’s also very determined to make sure Jorvik is safe by following the path of the Druids.

Fun Facts: Homegirl fucks Yrdis on the low 👀 (hes 21 imo and she’s 18 so it’s perfectly legal🤷🏻‍♀️) and they have a weird unspoken attraction to each other

Okay yall given the fact that I jumped the gun on yesterday, its been a full year since Ive played SSO and I have a majority of Odette’s character figured out but Im going to try again with her bio and personality

Name: Odette Moonluck

Age: 18

Occupation: part-time ballerina, full time equestrian

Birthday: October 12th (LIBRA GANG BITCHES)

Hobbies: riding horses, painting, dancing writing, playing video games

Horses: a dark bay Clydesdale named Roseblossom (her main horse) and a Jorvik Wild Horse named Cherryblossom

Personality: While born and raised in the lap of luxury, Odette was one to get down and dirty. Her parents always pushed her to enjoy things she liked - so long as it wasnt horseback riding. At their mismay Odette travelled to Moorland for the summer - learning the ropes of owning a horse as well as caring for one. She’s optimistic and outgoing but can be shy and reserved. She has a white cat named Luna that lives with her in the Moorland barracks. 

Upon meeting the Moorlands she and Justin grew very fond of each other and spent a lot of time together. Thomas Moorland seemed to like Odette enough but Odette had other plans in mind. Sure, Justin was a nice guy but she also had eyes for the circus man Ydris. To be frank, Odette would often sneak out of the barracks past curfew to visit Ydris and to see his magic show. Her late night outtings eventually caught his attention and the fact that Odette was interested in his magic and his thoughts also caught his eye. With Odette drowsy for days on end - Justin took notice and decided to follow her one night to see if she was really staying where she was supposed to be. Once he found out she left he followed her; unaware that it would lead him to the circus. Once Justin met Ydris the three of them hit it off well and became good friends. The only thing Odette has trouble with is finding out who she connects with more.

Upon meeting Elizabeth and the rest of the Soulriders, Odette felt out of place among them, the Soulriders were already friends before she showed up, how was she supposed to show them she had what it took to be a Druid too? Odette knew Anne and actually grew up with Anne. Since their families were both known around Jorvik they would often see each other at parties hosted by each other’s families. Odette tends to get along well with the Soulriders but she doesnt know which circle she belongs to or if whether or not she belongs to all of them. At night, Odette feels most at peace, she feels a strong sense and connection to the Moon - much like Linda. Odette also feels the most alive when it’s nighttime - she finds comfort in darkness despite her aesthetic being much different.
