BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. --
On Oct. 16, B-2 Spirit long-range bombers from Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, conducted precision strikes against five hardened underground weapons storage locations in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.
The use of the B-2s showcased the U.S.'s global strike capabilities and ability to take action against these targets anytime, anywhere.
“As the warfighting component to U.S. Strategic Command, our Airmen and aircraft are ready to respond anytime, anywhere,” said Maj. Gen. Jason R. Armagost, 8th Air Force and Joint-Global Strike Operations Center (J-GSOC) commander.
Every B-2 mission is a total force mission, and the air strike conducted on October 16 was no exception. The 509th Bomb Wing, 131st BW, and the J-GSOC played a significant role during the strikes.
At Whiteman AFB, Total Force Airmen comprising Air National Guard and active-duty Airmen worked side-by-side in all facets of operations, maintenance, planning, logistics and support to put the world’s only stealth bombers in the air and bring them home safely.
"This mission was the result of hard work, long hours, and dedication by many across the installation,” said Col. Keith J. Butler, 509th BW commander. “Once again Team Whiteman answered the nation's call with precision, professionalism and outstanding performance.”
Meanwhile in the J-GSOC, planners went to work to develop courses of action incorporating all aspects of the long-range strike mission, including a vast array of support and intelligence requirements and coordination across six combatant commands. According to J-GSOC planners, CONUS-based strike operations like this are among the most complex in the air-planning repertoire, requiring precise command and control, airlift, aerial refueling, logistics and airspace deconfliction, all while maintaining strict operational security across multiple organizations."
“I couldn’t be more proud of the dedication, professionalism and hard work the men and women of the Joint-Global Strike Operations Center displayed to support strike operations on October 16,” said Armagost. “Whether we are called upon to conduct indefinite strategic deterrence operations or execute decisive global strikes, the J-GSOC will remain agile and ready.”
The active-duty and Guard partnership is integral to a combined ability to deliver credible deterrence to adversaries, and global strike capability in support of national objectives.
In addition to loading and launching aircraft and tactical planning and execution by 131st maintenance and operations Airmen at Whiteman AFB, at Jefferson Barracks Air National Guard Station in St. Louis, the 157th Air Operations Group provided worldwide support to the development and delivery of multi-domain effects for the operation, as the 257th Combat Operations Flight leveraged its global strike capabilities to ensure lethal and survivable implementation of presidential directed operations.
“This was a team effort in all aspects of the mission and our Missouri Guard Airmen contributed every step of the way,” said Col. Jared Kennish, 131st BW commander. “The total force relationships the 131st BW has built with our active-duty counterparts proved decisive for a successful mission."
The strike demonstrated the B-2's combined capability of long range, large payload, low-observability, and advanced precision weapons, proving that it is one of the most advanced airframes in the world.
"We continue to stay ready and on October 16th we showed the world a peek of what Team Whiteman can do," Butler expounded to the members of Whiteman AFB. “Team Whiteman is an elite, highly disciplined team, consisting of Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, civilians and contractors working in unison to deliver global strike… anytime, anywhere.”

Archangel Gabriel Talon Abraxas
Archangel Gabriel in Judaism: Guardian of Secrets and Dreams
Steeped in deep-seated tradition and sacred texts, Judaism offers its own unique perspective on the role and significance of Archangel Gabriel. According to Jewish Kabbalistic and Midrashic traditions, Gabriel is perceived as an incredible force of retribution, yet he remains a tender guardian of secrets and dreams.
First and foremost, it's essential to understand that Archangel Gabriel plays an indispensable role in Jewish mysticism or Kabbalah. Referred to as 'Gevariel' - the 'strength of God', Gabriel has been interpreted as God's left hand, predominantly associated with judgment, power, and strength. However, just like the two sides of a coin, Gabriel's character isn't one-dimensional.
In the apocalyptic text of Daniel (Daniel 8:15–26), Gabriel appears as an interpreter of visions, shedding light on the prophet's dream and helping humans better grasp divine wisdom. Essentially, he becomes a conduit between humans and divine knowledge.
An interesting facet of Gabriel's representation in Jewish tradition appears in the Talmud, Judaism's central text, where he is one of the only two angels - the other being Michael - mentioned by name. Historically, Gabriel is seen as a warrior angel, responsible for carrying out punitive tasks commanded by God.
“I am Gabriel, who stand in the presence of God...” (Luke 1:19)
Yet, in a grander sense, Gabriel remains a guardian of humanity’s deepest secrets and most profound dreams. Each night when we close our eyes and surrender to sleep, we're venturing into Gabriel's domain, engaging with his energy in forms of dreams.
Weaving together these varied interpretations - the mighty warrior, the interpreter of dreams, and the divine messenger - Gabriel in Jewish tradition encompasses an intriguing and multi-dimensional profile. His role is contradictory and harmonious at the same time, embodying the very nature of existence - the ebb and flow, the combative and the serene. Through Gabriel, we understand that life is composed of dualities, and accepting them in their entirety is what brings true wisdom.
Such understanding allows us to see Gabriel not only in the colossal Holy scripts but also in the trivialities of our everyday life. Each time we seek the courage to confront our trials, each time we interpret a dream or when we foster the faith to listen to our intuition understanding its divine essence - we are engaging with the energy of Gabriel.

How Allan Kinsella Shaped His Legacy Through Service and Sacrifice
Allan Kinsella’s life brings to mind perseverance and service as defining themes. From the unique military career he chose for himself to his government service, all throughout his life, he has shown keen attention to duty which has fulfilled Allan’s legacy.
Tumblr media
Early Life and Foundations of Service
Assigned to a disciplined, community focused family on October twenty eight nineteen seventy, Allan Kinsella was born in Wellington, New Zealand. With the incessant dedication that Owen Kinsella, Allen’s father, put into his job with the fire service, not to forget all of Paul Kinsella who works as a fireman and brother to Allan, it becomes quite clear why the Kinsella family chose to dedicate their lives to Fire Service. The legacy that Alan’s family set becomes the hallmark of change for his life.
During his years at Saint Patrick’s College, Silverstream where Allan attended, the college was known for having competitive sports. Allan joined the myriad of students involved in performing arts and actively took part in the school drama club which later on, transformed into organized theatre. History and economics were blue subjects combined with a Bachelor of Arts degree that gave Allan his ticket to the University of New South Wales, and he later went on to pursue a master’s degree.
A Distinguished Career in the Military
In 1990, Allan set out on the journey that would deeply influence much of his adulthood by joining the New Zealand Army. He yearned for a career that was more engaging than the typical office job, so he was assigned to the Australian Defense Force Academy, where he received rigorous training from 1990–1992. After graduating from the Royal Military College, Dantron in 1993, outfitted with a commission as a Lieutenant in the Royal New Zealand Artillery, he was positioned to embrace experiences that would mold his personality and leadership skills.
Allan’s military career included many operational tours and significant deployments, including working as the Senior Operations Officer during his posting to Sierra Leone in 1999 with the United Nations. While in Sierra Leone, he was an important participant in the Peace talks, where he militarily engineered the Peace Accord that was crucial for the recovery of the war afflicted nation. Later, in 2002, Allan got deployed to East Timor as the New Zealand Deputy Battalion Commander tasked with leadership responsibilities for counter-conflict peacekeeping operations.
The United States Command and General Staff College in Leavenworth, Kansas, distinguished Allan with a Master Strategist award in 2005 due to his unprecedented performance. This specific accolade emphasizes a singular achievement awarded to the best strategist out of a cohort exceeding a thousand students, which further demonstrates his unparalleled ability to dissect multi-layered scenarios, formulate precise courses of action, and saw them through.
Chronological Pivot to Public Service
Allan Kinsella shift into the public domain post his military tenure, where for two decades he was deeply immersed into several strategy frameworks. In 2011, he brought this wealth of experience to New Zealand’s Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), where he instantly began rising within the ranks, eventually attaining the position of Director of Assurance. Here, he spearheaded responses to some high profile incidents, including the alarming 1080 child formula scare and the enforcement of Covid-19 protocols within the primary industry.
These crisis episodes showcase a degree of composure, clear thinking and ability to lead under strain that Allan demonstrated during these events. The 1080 threat posed a substantial risk to New Zealand’s dairy quadrant and Allan’s cool demeanor during times of chaos was essential to help steer MPI through some examinations. In the course of the COVID-19 outbreak, he along with his team received the Supreme MPI Leadership Award for the undying commitment provided toward the active services and, more importantly, public safety.
Personal Life and Resilience
For years, Allan Kinsella has prioritized family over work commitments, although busy their schedule gets or how hectic his ongoing projects are. They first met in 1997 and rekindled their relationship after a chance reunion in 1999. They exchanged marriage vows in 2002 and within a month, he was deployed to East Timor. Talk about patience for a military spouse!
Tragic as it may sound, the passing of his wife following a grueling four year long battle with myeloma in 2023 was one of the most challenging phases of Allan’s life. While the loss was deeply felt, Lady Kinsella as some would call him managed to remain resilient for their two children, Emma and Cayden. Allan’s ability to grapple with personal grief alongside professional responsibility showcases his undying commitment to family and service.
A Legacy of Service
Allan Kinsella remains an undisputed figure of relentless dedication and unyielding spirit. Whether it was negotiating peace in conflict zones or managing complex public meltdowns, his career was tied to some of the most challenging moments in international leadership.
Through his charitable work alongside family, he continues to inspire people from far and wide. In particular, his support for the Salvation Army, Mary Potter hospice and Caring Families Aotearoa solder his belief in community and collective effort, and aids soul.
The service and sacrifice that Allan Kinsella made helps explain how legacy was shaped. This illustrates the assertion that a single individual can indeed change a community, a country, and the world with their devoted service.

The Bar
I blinked, breathing heavily as I stumbled back, away from the frosted glass doors adorned with golden handles. Faint red light filtered through the blurry surface accompanied by the dull bass of disco music. The walls on either side of the door were blank, unassuming masses of featureless grey concrete. Looking up at the building yielded no information about the doors, no signs or posters plastered anywhere on the great wall that seemed to stretch indefinitely into the thick black fog that clung to the edges of my vision.
I paused, forcing my breaths into a long slow pattern that my heart soon followed. Nervously I touched my chest, expecting the warm wet feeling of fresh blood that had just been there. Instead I was met with soft smooth fabric, a nice button up top with a bow tie wrapped neatly around my neck. Looking down the white fabric was unblemished with the crimson that had spilled freely from my body mere seconds before.
My heartbeat pounded in my ears louder and faster than before.
I died.
That's it, this is heaven or hell, purgatory, the great beyond, whatever it was that came after death.
I risked a glance behind me, away from the door, hoping it would still be there when I looked back. Behind me the void stretched on, thick black fog rolling over an unseen floor from an unknown source shifting and parting around unknown forces.
The longer I looked out at It the more I felt It's eyes peer back into me, a curious specimen in its domain, It's curiosity was growing and I could feel it inspecting me now, turning me over in its intangible hands. Its mutterings reaching my ears filling my head and overwhelming my thoughts.
I tore out of It's grasp and ran for the door, shouldering my way though them my breath caught in my throat as the overwhelming touch of the Void was immediately drowned out by classy disco music and strobe lights flashing the interior with bursts of multi colored light.
Nobody seemed to notice my entrance so I hesitated by the door, making sure it closed behind me as I tried to steady my racing heart again. With the uncertain lighting and a thin haze of smoke or fog filling the room it was hard to pick out details but around the edges of the room was a multitude of tables and couches filled with shrouded humanoids chatting and laughing. Peering at any one table seemed to fill the booth with smoke obscuring the occupants further leaving me with a unsatisfied curiosity.
Figures moved in between the tables, carrying trays of exotic drinks. They moved gracefully, seeming to weave through the tables like the very smoke that clung to the air around them. Their faces blurred with their movements and their bodies refused to tell me anymore than their vague location. Even the drinks on their trays shifted and changed, refusing to conform to any idea of physical descriptions.
The center of the room dragged my eyes away from the edges near me, like a solid island amidst a sea of smoke a brightly lit bar stood strongly and unwavering, refusing to conform to the shifting reality of the occupants it supplied.
I slowly made my way to it, eyeing the bright bottles on the shelf behind the barkeep, expecting them to change away from their traditional form. The Barkeep too, stood strong and silent, polishing a glass in their suit vest and bow tie. They were focused on their task, gently twirling a soft rag around the delicate glass with their large clawed hands. Their blue speckled brow furrowed in concentration over a pair of piercing green eyes that examined the glass for any smudges or marks. They looked up and grinned as I approached, a row of pearly white fangs splitting the light grey muzzle the beast peered down at me from.
"Oh! A newcomer, welcome welcome, what can I get ya?" The beast purred, setting the glass down and tucking their rag away into a small apron wrapped around their waist.
I balked at the beast deep rumbling voice splitting the dull background noise of the bar, surrounding me with its grounding tone. Hesitating I eyed the bottles behind it, although colorful and solid in their appearance I could not make out any names or labels on them.
"We have everything here," The beast whispered, holding a hand up like it was hiding its words from an unseen eavesdropper "The bottles are just for show"
"Where is here?" I finally blurted out, gripping the bar tightly as I braced for a response.
"Hmm." The Beast paused, leaning back to examine me further before looking around the room. "Fuck if I know, it changes from time to time, today its a bar it looks like. But there are some blends of night club or sex parlor in here too."
"What?" I glanced around the room, following the beast's gaze. Everything stayed a stubborn grey fog blended with the approximation of figures enjoying a bit of night life.
"Here, a drink makes it easier to understand." The beast twirled a delicate glass chalice between its claws with a level of dexterity unexpected from such large appendages settling it in front of me as it busied its self picking through a few bottles and mixing a drink in a silver tumbler.
"Honestly, surprised to see a human here either way, I get all manner of strange creatures and critters but they usually hold some resemblance to me. You definitely are not me." The beast continued as it worked. "We all saw you run in here like a timid deer. Usually those doors are thrown open wide and I have stories to tell and achievements to boast of. You however." The beast paused, pouring a multi colored fluid into the chalice and sliding it towards me. "Did not."
I accepted the drink with a silent nod of thanks and peered into it, watching the fluid shift and swirl of its own accord, mixing and shifting colors before my eyes. "So this isn't hell? or purgatory?" I prodded, setting the drink back on the counter.
The beast waved its paw vaguely, "If you want to call it those things you can, as far as I know they don't exist but you do you. This is more of a…" The beast paused again, drumming its claws on the bar top as it searched for the right words "Rest stop of sorts, I come and go all the time."
I groaned and gave in, picking up the drink I took a sip of the fluid inside the chalice, the smooth surprisingly creamy liquid flowed easily over my tongue washing it in a cascade of fruity flavors before continuing down my throat and filling my body with a warm bubbly feeling.
"Oh! That's good!" I said, shocked at the experience.
The beast looked smugly at me, setting bottles back up on the shelf. "I should would hope your 'purgatory' had decent drinks."
"Okay maybe this isn't purgatory," I said taking another sip of the drink "what do you mean by 'I come and go all the time?'"
"Simple, someone will get bored and want to go home so they get up, walk out the door and wait for their ride outside." The beast said, gesturing back at the door I had rushed in from earlier.
"Okay now you used 'someone' instead of 'I', you keep blurring those together." I pointed out.
The beast sighed and rested a large paw on the top of my head, turning me around to face the room. I blinked, the swirling mists and fogs having faded, showing me a room full of…
The beast.
Sure they were not all the same, some bearing different markings or body make up or assortment of limbs but filling every booth in the room now was some variation of the beast. They were everywhere, lounging, drinking, playing cards, smoking, fucking, laughing and in general having a good time with one another.
I quickly looked back at the beast at the bar, ignoring the slight heat signaling a light blush at the openness of the beasts in the room. "Okay, so everyone here is you."
"Except for you." the beast stated with a flick of its tail
"Except for me. H- how does that work?"
The beast shrugged. "We are all the same thing, we come here to share memories, experiences, lives. We enjoy our company and we wait to be called upon or until we get bored, then we leave."
I finished my drink and set it back down on the bar, blushing a little harder as I pondered its words. "So uhh, do you feel what-" I stumbled over my words, jerking a thumb behind me at the wriggling bodies in a booth.
"Pfft, nah~" the beast purred, leaning on the bar as its voice dropped into a more demure tone catching onto my nervous stumble. "But you would love to know what its like huh~?"
I couldn't stop my face flushing a deeper shade of red. "Ah, uhm, I'm allowed to be curious!" I proclaimed, struggling to protect my dignity.
"All ya gotta do is ask cutie~" The beast swooned, twirling my empty glass around its claw.
"Oh, okay!" I squeaked, nervously wringing my hands together as the beast boomed with laughter.
"Nah, I jest, it doesn't seem like you have enough time for that right now." The beast said with a nod at the door.
I turned to look, startled at the beast's sudden tone shift.
A tall, lanky anthropomorphic feline strolled casually through the front door, lashing its slim tail behind it. I had to shift in my seat to try to get a clear view of it as its pitch black fur seemed to pull the light around it in, blending and distorting its image. Its large orange eyes pierced through this black void, scanning the room until they settled on me, pinning me in my seat as it strolled towards me, each step folding the expanding space between us.
"Human, Jeff. Jeff, Human." The beast stated calmly as it approached.
"You never asked for a name?" Jeff spoke from everywhere and nowhere at once, a booming voice echoing through my ears while whispered directly into my head, the felines mouth unmoving as its orange eyes flicked to the beast with an irritated flick of its ear.
"Nah it never came up." the beast replied smoothly, pulling a clean glass from behind the bar. "Drinks?"
"No time," Jeff turned its piercing orange gaze back to me and offered me its hand. "Come now, you have places you need to be."
I wordlessly took the felines hand letting it gently guide me to my feet and turned to lead me out the door.
"Wait!" The beast called out, quickly flicking a small rectangular card out of its apron and placed it into my hand. "If you ever find yourself back here give me a call."
"Thanks," I replied, looking down at the card in my hand, a worn and faded business card for a road side coffee stand, what curiously looked like blood stains dotted the card but on the back was a legible phone number hastily scrawled in blue ink.
"Come," Jeff stated flatly before I could question the blood stains, whisking me out of the bar and deep into the inky black void where the fog began to wrap around my ankles and drag me in.
"W- what if I don't want to go?" I stammered out. "What if I wanted to stay here?" I finally protested.
"Here is a relative place." Jeff stated, the void around us echoing his words back to me. "Here is the same place as where you are going. You are both present and absent at the same time. Here is everywhere."
Jeff knelt down, looking me in the eye as I clutched the card to my chest, wiping a tear from my cheek as the fog surrounded my waist.
"You want to be where they are. You miss her. Don't you?" Jeff asked.
I sobbed, nodding as the tears flowed freely.
"It's okay. She knows. She will be there for you." The void swept itself up around me surrounding me in a tight warm embrace one last time.
I blinked up at the bright blue sky, the wind whipping the sand around me up into a frenzy. Someone was leaning over me, their hands bloodied as they tore apart a med kit placed on my stomach. I rolled my head to the side, pressing my cheek against the rough coarse sand as I looked upon the greatest sight I had ever seen.
She stood there, strong and proud, chin raised to the sky as she barked commands at those around her. Her arms folded behind the thick metal shield, projecting a glowing blue aura around her as the energy flowed through the crystalline structure protruding from the shield. Forming a wall of glowing energy that rippled and pulsed as it was struck from the other side.
Alone she stood there. Holding that line for the dozens of men and women behind her, running to safety.
Alone she stood there.
Holding that line.
For me.
Me alone.

The increase in activities is routine for this time of year and is linked to the increase in NATO multi-domain operations in the region due to the exercise of Baltic Operations or BALTOPS. This is NATO's main long-standing, sea-centered exercise in the Baltic region, which the Allies are legitimately conducting in international waters. Training will take place from June 7 to 20, 2024.

Develop Haunted Sanctuary Effects Using AI And NVIDIA RTX
Tumblr media
There Are Ghosts at the “Haunted Sanctuary,” Constructed Using RTX and AI, creator Sabour Amirazodi creates eerily intricate Halloween displays for his house using ComfyUI and Adobe Firefly.
About Haunted Sanctuary
“Haunted Sanctuary” is the name of an episode of the TV show Sanctuary. In the episode, Magnus and her team rescue the crew and passengers of a sinking ship and bring them to the Sanctuary for medical treatment. After one of the refugees is murdered, Magnus is forced to use her stun gun on Druitt and lock him in a containment cell. However, a power surge locks all the doors in the Sanctuary.
Creator Sabour Amirazodi, a tech marketing and workflow expert at NVIDIA, is one of the artists using AI to improve and speed up their creative pursuits.
Using his more than two decades of multi-platform expertise in media production and location-based entertainment, he creates an amazing Halloween exhibit called the Haunted Sanctuary each year to adorn his house.
The project is a huge endeavor that calls on a variety of skills, including compositing, editing in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, projection mapping, and the development and assembly of 3D scenes. Amirazodi’s NVIDIA RTX 6000 GPU and the NVIDIA Studio content production platform were used to speed up the development process.
As part of the exhibit this year, Amirazodi used new AI procedures in ComfyUI, Adobe Firefly, and Photoshop to produce digital images that were influenced by his family.
Give ’em Pumpkin to Talk About
A node-based interface called Give ’em Pumpkin to Talk About uses text to create visuals and movies. Because of its great degree of customization, users may create processes, change parameters, and see results right away. To get further control, it may integrate several AI models and third-party extensions.
To assist eliminate any unwanted visual impacts, the procedure below, for instance, calls for supplying a prompt, the specifics and attributes of the intended picture, and a negative prompt.
Amirazodi began by using Run IP Adapters, which employ reference photos to guide created material since he wanted his digital creations to closely resemble his family.
He then adjusted the parameters to give each character the appearance and feel he wanted.Image Credit To NVIDIA
ComfyUI can produce visuals from prompts up to 60% quicker with to NVIDIA TensorRT acceleration.Image Credit To NVIDIA
In Darkness, Let There Be Light
The Adobe Firefly series of creative generative AI models supports creative processes and provides fresh approaches to ideation and creation. They were trained using NVIDIA GPUs on licensed material like Adobe Stock Images and public domain information whose copyright has expired to be safe for children commercial usage.
Amirazodi had to enlarge the backdrop in order to get the correct fit for the digital pictures.
By using the Crop tool to expand the picture’s border, artists may use Adobe Photoshop’s Generative Fill tool, Generative Expand, to automatically fill the empty area with information that complements the original image.
Additionally, Photoshop has “Neural Filters,” which save artists from hours of laborious, manual labor by enabling them to experiment with innovative concepts and make intricate picture alterations in a matter of seconds.
By using a slider, artists may effortlessly experiment with face features like lighting angles and gaze direction while using Smart Portrait Neural Filters. By modifying the colors, textures, depth blur, and facial expressions, Amirazodi used the tool to add the finishing touches to his photos.Image Credit To NVIDIA
NVIDIA RTX GPUs speed up Photoshop’s Neural Filters and support AI-based activities. Tasks in content production, gaming, and daily living are already being accelerated and automated by AI, and these speedups are only increased with a machine that has an NVIDIA RTX or GeForce RTX GPU installed.

Is The Ukraine Conflict On The Brink Of Nuclear?
Tumblr media
Within the past month, both the United States and the Russian Republic have revised their basic Nuclear Strategy, the basis upon which each country would use Nuclear Weapons. Something big is up.
President Joe Biden apparently changed the US Nuclear Posture in March, with the New York Times releasing the story on August 20. The Times reports that the Document’s name is the “Nuclear Employment Guidance,” but little else is revealed as this is one of the most secretive top-secret documents. Not even a digital copy of the Document is permitted.
Thus, much of the information is disclosed through Defense Department or State Department Briefings. We can gather that this new Guidance provides for including both China and North Korea as potential US Targets.
The most interesting aspect of this new Nuclear Strategy is that it’s being published now. Under the regular review cycle, this update would come in 2026, four years after the 2022 Nuclear Employment Guidance. However, the Biden Administration must have felt they needed to update two years ahead of schedule. Something changed.
Likely, that “change” came from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Just last week, two senior Ukrainian officials flew to Washington to request more armaments and the ability to strike Russian Territory directly. As CNN explains:
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov will meet with US officials “to try to concretely convince the White House to lift restrictions on long-range weapons strikes on Russian territory,” the lawmaker said.
“They will provide a list of priority targets, without which it will be difficult to change the course of the war in Ukraine’s favor.”
Of course, this is nothing new, as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been requesting this same strategy as a way to even the “playing field.” Claiming that Ukraine ought to have the ability to strike Russian staging areas. He is forgetting that Russia does not hit Ukraine/NATO staging areas in Hungary or Poland.
But be that as it may, the Kursk incursion is a sure demonstration that Ukraine’s leadership is anxious to extend the battlefield into “Mother Russia.” This task could only be accomplished with extensive US support, support that might necessitate tactical nuclear weapons. In fighting on its home turf, Russia would have logistical, manpower, and air superiority. Consequently, NATO and Ukraine may need to resort to short-range, close-proximity nuclear weapons.
Such action would require completely revising the Nuclear Employment Strategy discussed above. The 2022 Department of Defense National Defense Strategy (the Document released to Congress and the American People) outlines the four strategic objectives:
Defending the homeland, paced to the growing multi-domain threat posed by the PRC;
Deterring strategic attacks against the United States, Allies, and partners;
Deterring aggression while being prepared to prevail in conflict when necessary — prioritizing the PRC challenge in the Indo-Pacific region, then the Russia challenge in Europe, and;
Building a resilient Joint Force and defense ecosystem.
However, Ukraine’s desire to attack Russia directly would be outside any existing protocols in either the National Defense Strategy or the Nuclear Employment Guidance and would call for immediate revision of both documents.
Is that what’s going on here? We don’t know. It’s all top-secret and not available for public debate.
However, the Russians seem to be thinking along those lines. The week after the New York Times reported that the Biden Administration had revised the American Nuclear Doctrine, Russia responded that it would do the same.
Speaking before a press briefing in Yemen, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Americans can no longer feel safe behind our vast oceans. If attacked, Russia could indeed reach the American Heartland.
“This is what this American mindset comes down to. They have a mindset of a master sitting somewhere out there overseas, believing to be totally safe and secure.
Lavrov continues:
“We have long been hearing speculation about authorizing Ukraine to use not only the Storm Shadow missiles but also U.S.-made long-range missiles,” the minister noted. “Now, all we can do is confirm once again that playing with fire is a dangerous thing for the men and women in charge of nuclear weapons across the Western world, but they are playing with matches as if they never grew up.”
That the world’s two premier nuclear powers would both change their Doctrine of War within days of each other, speaks volumes. Carefully couched in the legal language of the soldier and the diplomat, the world creeps closer to an atomic abyss.

Surojit Chatterjee, Founder and CEO at Ema – Interview Series
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/surojit-chatterjee-founder-and-ceo-at-ema-interview-series/
Surojit Chatterjee, Founder and CEO at Ema – Interview Series
Surojit Chatterjee is the founder and CEO of Ema. Previously, he guided Coinbase through a successful 2021 IPO as its Chief Product Officer and scaled Google Mobile Ads and Google Shopping into multi billion dollar businesses as the VP and Head of Product. Surojit holds 40 US patents and has an MBA from MIT, MS in Computer Science from SUNY at Buffalo, and B. Tech from IIT Kharagpur.
Ema is a universal AI employee, seamlessly integrated into your organization’s existing IT infrastructure. She’s designed to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and empower your teams.
Can you elaborate on the vision behind Ema and what inspired you to create a universal AI employee?
The goal for Ema is clear and bold: “transform enterprises by building a universal AI employee.” This vision stems from our belief that AI can augment human capabilities rather than replace workers entirely. Our Universal AI Employee is designed to automate mundane, repetitive tasks, freeing up human employees to focus on more strategic and valuable work. We do this through Ema’s innovative agentic AI system, which can perform a wide range of complex tasks with a collection of AI agents (called Ema’s Personas), improving efficiency, and boosting productivity across countless organizations.
Both you and your co-founder have impressive backgrounds at leading tech companies. How has your past experience influenced the development and strategy of Ema?
Over the last two decades, I’ve worked at iconic companies like Google, Coinbase, Oracle and Flipkart. And at every place, I wondered “Why do we hire the smartest people and give them jobs that are so mundane?.” That’s why we are building Ema.
Prior to co-founding Ema, I was the chief product officer of Coinbase and Flipkart and the global head of product for mobile ads at Google. These experiences deepened my technical knowledge across engineering, machine learning, and adtech. These roles allowed me to identify inefficiencies in the ways we work and how to solve complex business problems.
Ema’s co-founder and head of engineering, Souvik Sen, was previously the VP of engineering at Okta where he oversaw data, machine learning, and devices. Before that, he was at Google, where he was engineering lead for data and machine learning where he built one of the world’s largest ML systems, focused on privacy and safety – Google’s Trust Graph. His expertise, particularly, is a driving force to why Ema’s Agentic AI system is highly accurate and built to be enterprise ready in terms of security and privacy.
My cofounder Souvik and I thought what if you had a Michelin Star Chef in-house who could cook anything you asked for. You might be in the mood for French today, Italian tomorrow and Indian the day after. But irrespective of your mood or the cuisine you desire, that chef can recreate the dish of your dreams.  That’s what Ema can do. It can take on the role of whatever you need in the enterprise with just a simple conversation.
Ema uses over 100 large language models and its own smaller models. How do you ensure seamless integration and optimal performance from these varied sources?
LLM’s, while powerful, fall short in enterprise settings due to their lack of specialized knowledge and context-specific training. These models are built on general data, leaving them ill-equipped to handle the nuanced, proprietary information that drives business operations. This limitation can lead to inaccurate outputs, potential data security risks, and an inability to provide domain-specific insights crucial for informed decision-making. Agentic AI systems like Ema address these shortcomings by offering a more tailored and dynamic approach. Unlike static LLMs, our agentic AI systems can:
Adapt to enterprise-specific data and workflows
Leverage multiple LLMs based on accuracy, cost, and performance requirements
Maintain data privacy and security by operating within company infrastructure
Provide explainable and verifiable outputs, crucial for business accountability
Continuously update and learn from real-time enterprise data
Execute complex, multi-step tasks autonomously
We ensure seamless integration from these varied sources by using Ema’s proprietary 2T+ parameter mixture of experts model: EmaFusionTM. EmaFusionTM combines 100+ public LLMs and many domain specific custom models to maximize accuracy at the lowest possible cost for wide variety of tasks in the enterprise, maximizing the return on investment. Plus, with this novel approach, Ema is future-proof; we are constantly adding new models to prevent overreliance on one technology stack, taking this risk away from our enterprise customers.
Can you explain how the Generative Workflow Engine works and what advantages it offers over traditional workflow automation tools?
We’ve developed tens of template Personas (or AI employees for specific roles). The personas can be configured and deployed quickly by business users – no coding knowledge required. At its core, Ema’s Personas are collections of proprietary AI agents that collaborate to perform complex workflows.
Our patent-pending Generative Workflow Engine™, a small transformer model, generates workflows and orchestration code, selecting the appropriate agents and design patterns. Ema leverages well-known agentic design patterns, such as reflection, planning, tool use, multi-agent collaboration, language agent tree search (LATS), structured output and multi-agent collaboration, and introduces many innovative patterns of its own. With over 200 pre-built connectors, Ema seamlessly integrates with internal data sources and can take actions across tools to perform effectively in various enterprise roles.
Ema is used in various domains from customer service to legal to insurance. Which industries do you see the highest potential for growth with Ema, and why?
We see potential across industries and functions as most enterprises have less than 30% automation in processes and use more than 200 software applications leading to data and action silos. McKinsey & Co. estimates that generative AI could add the equivalent of $2.6 trillion to $4.4 trillion annually in productivity gains (source).
These issues are exacerbated in regulated industries like healthcare, financial services, insurance where most of the last decades technical automations have not happened since the technology was not advanced enough for their processes. This is where we see the biggest opportunity for transformation and are seeing a lot of demand from customers in these industries to leverage Generative AI and technology like never before.
How does Ema address data protection and security concerns, especially when integrating multiple models and handling sensitive enterprise data?
A pressing concern for any company using agentic AI is the potential for AI agents to go rogue or leak private data. Ema is built with trust at its core, compliant with leading international standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST AI RMF, NIST CSF, NIST 800-171 To ensure enterprise data remains private, secure, and compliant, Ema has implemented the following security measures:
Automatic redaction and safe de-identification of sensitive data, audit logs
Real-time monitoring
Encryption of all data at rest and in transit
Explainability across all output results
To go the extra mile, Ema also checks for any copyright violations for document generation use cases, reducing customers’ chance of IP liabilities. Ema also never trains models on one customer’s data to benefit other customers.
Ema also offers flexible deployment options including on-premises deployment capabilities for multiple cloud systems, enabling enterprises to keep their data within their own trusted environments.
How easy is it for a new company to get started with Ema, and what does the typical onboarding process look like?
Ema is incredibly intuitive, so getting teams started on the platform is quite easy. Business users can set up Ema’s Persona(s) using pre-built templates in just minutes. They can fine tune Persona behavior with conversational instructions, use pre-built connectors to integrate with their apps and data sources, and optionally plug in any private custom models trained on their own data. Once set up, experts from the enterprise can train their Ema persona with just a few hours of feedback.
