1. Niat yang Tulus

Sebelum ngapa-ngapain, lurusin niat dulu. Jangan karena biar keliatan baik, tapi karena pengen dapet ridha dari Allah. Ini pondasi utama yang bikin sedekahmu punya makna.

2. Waktunya Pas Banget Setelah Subuh

Langsung gerak abis shalat subuh. Jangan ditunda. Mau lewat transfer, kasih langsung, atau simpan di amplop—yang penting konsisten dilakukan tiap pagi.

3. Pilih Jalur yang Aman dan Jelas

Nggak semua tempat cocok buat jadi penyalur sedekah. Pilih yang amanah, bisa masjid, orang sekitar, atau platform terpercaya kayak rumahberkat.com.

4. Cari Penerima yang Emang Butuh

Perhatiin orang-orang sekitar kamu. Mungkin ada yang nggak kelihatan susah, tapi sebenernya butuh banget bantuan kecil buat bertahan hidup.

5. Jangan Lupa Doa

Setelah sedekah, sempetin berdoa. Nggak usah panjang. Yang penting dari hati dan yakin. Minta yang baik-baik buat hidup kamu dan orang-orang yang kamu sayangi.

6. Konsisten Itu Kunci

Nggak usah langsung besar. Mulai dari nominal kecil, tapi rutin. Kalau kelewat sehari? Nggak apa-apa, lanjut lagi besoknya. Sedekah itu soal ketekunan.

Cara sedekah subuh yang benar itu nggak susah. Yang penting kamu niat, paham waktu dan caranya, dan mau terus jalanin. Nggak harus sempurna, yang penting mulai.

Dating Apps and the lack of CHAT

I’m sure we have all been there in this search for a spouse, the moment you are close to giving up on apps. One main reason is: DEAD CONVERSATION.

No, it’s not the fact that everyone’s profile seems to read gym, tick, coffee, tick, looking for a travel buddy, tick. Or, the glossy baby oiled pictures from the gym. Us women aren’t left out oh no, brothers are crying out about profiles that reek of Hijabi glam! Sisters contoured to the hilt, profiles full of demands pretty much like little modern day ‘Muslim Princesses’.

It’s the lack of conversation, once you find a profile you like. As if swiping right and left wasn’t tiring enough, you begin to feel you’ve reached a brick wall you are this close to deleting the app, until you get a MATCH!

Again, you exchange small talk, initial chit-chat and pleasantries. Tick Tock Tick Tock

You try to keep up jokes, and banter Tick Tock Tick Tock

You keep asking questions and giving details… AND GONE.

The conversation dwindles into thin air, the back and forth of how was your day, what are you doing, has ceased.

All of a sudden you realise, you were doing all the talk ‘they’ only went to work and back, gym in between, meal prep perhaps. No reading, no hobbies, no interests, discussions to be had memories to be shared. Just banal, monotonous chatter. That leads NOWHERE.

I’ve never understood why someone would message you daily, but share nothing substantial about themselves? Just an empty sleeve, I know your basic needs what you eat, do and like, but nothing more. And, now we must meet? Hell no. Mr/Mrs Sleeve.  

If you are looking for marriage – do that. Each conversation should serve a purpose, a sign or signal as to whether you are compatible. This isn’t a journal, a daily entry of your life, this is an effort to find a life partner! Honestly, has social media left us so inept we cannot even court anymore? Has the chase died? We no longer know how to interact, talk, converse, get to know one another. Instead, we look at empty images, hear empty information, and have an empty relationship. No thanks.

Sometimes I change things around in the apartment to feel refreshed and renewed. I haven't been able to do that at all since we moved to apartment life again. My hands are itching for some change. Maybe I'll get more plants or maybe I'll change my wall art or something? 🙈 The layout is a big open space and I had to divide it into three different spaces including a living room, study corner and a dining room. Review: Arabic blackboard

Een paar weken geleden ontving ik een arabic blackboard en bijbehorende krijtjes. Ik vond dit een top idee voor Ramadan! Ik heb dit jaar geen Ramadan hoekje, dus dit kwam wel heel goed van pas.

Ik heb de arabic blackboard in de keuken geplakt, bij de eettafel. Het aanbrengen van de blackboard op de muur was heel simpel en in een paar minuten gedaan. Let er wel op dat je je muur vetvrij maakt, vooral een keukenmuur (die vaak wel snel vettig is).

Voor Ramadan heb ik er nu de tijden op geschreven van suhur en iftar en de du'aa voor het verbreken van vasten. Op deze manier leren de kinderen de du'aa sneller uit hun hoofd in sha Allah.  Ook voorkomt het elke dag dezelfde vraag; "hoelaat is iftar?" Nu weten ze zelf waar ze het kunnen zien. De arabic blackboard is heel makkelijk te reinigen met een vochtig doekje en droogt binnen enkele seconden.

Ik mocht er krijtjes bij kiezen en koos voor bovenstaande krijtjes. Wat ik hier het handigste van vind is dat de krijtjes in een houder zitten. We weten allemaal hoe vervelend het is als je aan het schrijven bent en het krijtje breekt. Vervolgens is het vervelend vasthouden omdat het te klein is. Nu gebeurt dat niet vanwege de houder. Zodra je krijtje een beetje op is kun je het simpelweg naar boven draaien. De krijtjes schrijven heel fijn en zijn dus makkelijk weg te vegen.

De Arabic blackboard kun je voor talloze doeleinden gebruiken en op elke plek in huis. Als je het zat bent in de ene kamer, plak je 'm op in een andere kamer. Hij is bijvoorbeeld heel leuk in een kinderkamer, want hoe graag kleuren (kleine) kinderen op muren?!?!?! Je kunt er ad'iyah of qoraan op schrijven en leren in de studeerkamer, huisregels op schrijven in de gang, weekmenu in de keuken, mooie quotes in de woonkamer en zo zijn er nog veel meer ideeën. Je kunt er alle kanten mee op. Het is ook leuk om cadeau te geven nu in de Ramadan of met eid. Je hebt verschillende vormen en ook verschillende maten. Ook heb je verschillende krijtjes. A wonderful day spent with friends and my family by the Bhosporus and Galata Tower. We experienced the street life with some delicious Turkish food, fresh fish and Menengiç Coffee (there is no caffeine in this coffee!) . . . Menengic is a coffee like Turkish specialty beverage that is made from the roasted Pistachio tree seeds (commonly known as terebinth and turpentine tree). After the roasting process seeds are mashed until it becomes a paste like melted chocolate. You can either have it by itself or add your favorite Turkish coffee to it. . You will need to stir your brew a little bit longer to make sure paste is all dissolved. It is usually prepared with just milk or with water plus some sugar.
