Late-night scribbles. I woke up with a fever, sore throat, cold, and aching whole body.🤒🤧 I got some programs for the evening with some friends, but I had to cancel them. I spent most of the day crawling in my house, alternating sleeping and drawing. Fever, you won't have me ( don't do like me, please, I should probably rest more, but I'm stubborn).

Picture You | Leah Williamson
Pairing: Leah Williamson x Physiotherapist!Reader
Summary: Where Leah ends up kissing the team's physiotherapist.
Note: English is not my first language!
Warning: Mention of flirting and a possible kiss!
Masterlist | Women's Football Masterlist

Leah, one of the most renowned defenders in English football, had just arrived at Arsenal's training center. After a relatively intense season with tougher training sessions, she began to feel a constant discomfort in her thigh. As usual, she decided to ignore the pain at first, believing it was just muscle fatigue. However, after a few more days of discomfort, it became unavoidable. Leah found herself heading to the physiotherapy room.
Y/n, a renowned physiotherapist known both nationally and internationally in the sports scene, was in the room finishing up with Alessia, who had complained of a slight ankle pain after stepping wrong during training.
"Lessi, don’t worry, your ankle isn’t swollen. Just apply a compress before bed and avoid straining it tomorrow," Y/n explained, applying gentle pressure to the area to relieve the tension.
Alessia nodded, trusting Y/n's advice, and soon left, leaving the physiotherapist alone in the room. Y/n began organizing her things, preparing to wrap up her workday.
It was at that moment that Leah appeared at the door, the pain in her thigh becoming harder to ignore. She had always found the way Y/n conducted her work intriguing. The physiotherapist was competent and extremely methodical, but also had a seriousness that intrigued Leah. Perhaps it was this combination of competence and coolness that made Leah throw out her cheap flirtations every chance she got.
"Good afternoon, doctor. Are you heading out already?" Leah asked, her tone slightly softer than usual.
Y/n, who was already facing away, organizing her work bag, took a deep breath before turning to face the player. Leah, with her usual relaxed posture, made Y/n feel something different—a mix of irritation and interest.
"Do you need something?" Y/n asked, her voice calm but with a hint of impatience.
"I’ve been feeling some discomfort in my thigh during training. I think you should take a look," Leah replied, a slight smile on her face.
"Alright, take a seat over there," Y/n said, pointing to the examination table while finishing organizing her materials.
Leah quickly obeyed, her heart beating a little faster than usual as she watched the physiotherapist approach. She lay down on the table, waiting for the evaluation to begin. Y/n, always focused, began lightly touching Leah’s thigh, trying to identify the source of the pain.
"Is this thigh pain something recurring?" Y/n asked, her analytical gaze fixed on the area as she applied gentle pressure.
Leah took a deep breath, feeling the cool, precise touch of the physiotherapist’s fingers on her warm skin. Her mind began to wander.
"It’s been a few days, but I thought it was just fatigue from training," Leah replied, trying not to get distracted by Y/n’s proximity.
Y/n’s touch was firm and professional, but something about the way her fingers moved over Leah’s skin made the defender’s body react in ways she didn’t expect. Each press, each calculated movement seemed to provoke more than just a physical response—something deeper was stirring within her.
"Does it hurt here?" Y/n asked, gently squeezing a specific part of Leah’s thigh.
"A little, but it’s bearable," Leah murmured, her eyes fixed on the physiotherapist’s, feeling a silent connection forming.
Y/n continued the examination, applying a cold gel to Leah’s thigh to reduce inflammation. She began massaging the area with precise movements while explaining the procedure.
"It seems to be due to muscle overload, probably from the accumulation of intense matches and training sessions. I’ll recommend a painkiller and cold compresses to reduce the pain, and, of course, some rest," Y/n said, but soon noticed that Leah was distracted, her eyes fixed on her.
You weren’t paying attention to what I said, were you?" Y/n asked, her voice carrying a mix of playfulness and seriousness.
Leah blinked, snapping back to reality, and smirked, not hiding her charm.
"I was listening, doctor, but... I can’t focus much when you’re this close," Leah replied, her tone bold.
Y/n shook her head, unable to hold back a small smile. She knew Leah had this provocative side, but she also knew there was something more behind that attitude.
"You need to be a bit more subtle when you look at me like that, you know?" Y/n said, maintaining her professional tone but with a glint in her eyes. "Even with your reputation for flirting with everyone, it doesn’t go unnoticed."
"So you noticed?" Leah replied, her smile widening. "And what are you going to do about it?"
Before Leah could process the response, Y/n took a step closer to the defender, her eyes now fixed on Leah’s lips. It was a sudden decision, perhaps driven by the tension that had been building between them over the past few weeks. And then, Y/n took the initiative, pulling Leah into an intense and unexpected kiss.
Leah, caught off guard, quickly responded, her hands moving to hold Y/n’s waist, pulling her closer. The kiss was hungry, filled with repressed desire. The world around them disappeared for a few moments. When Y/n finally pulled away, both were breathless. She ran a hand through her hair, trying to regain her composure.
"That shouldn’t have happened here," Y/n said, her voice slightly hoarse.Leah smiled, leaning forward.
"Well, if it can’t be here, we can continue outside," she suggested, a provocative glint in her eyes.
Y/n chuckled softly, shaking her head.
"We’ll see, Leah. Now go rest and follow my recommendations. And maybe... we’ll talk later... outside."
"So... outside?" Leah said, regaining her voice as she adjusted her posture, trying to appear calmer than she really was. Her eyes sparkled with subtle provocation.
Y/n, on the other hand, maintained the expression of someone still in control, though her slightly accelerated breathing betrayed her. She took a few steps back, gathering the remaining materials she would use to finish the session.
"Leah, this is work. I shouldn’t..." Y/n began, but the defender, with a mischievous smile, interrupted.
"I know. And I promise next time we’ll keep things in the right place," Leah said, winking. "But... I also know it’s not just work that makes you look at me like that."
Y/n sighed, finally allowing a small smile to escape. Leah was right, and although the moment wasn’t ideal, there was something undeniable between them—an attraction that had been building with every exchanged glance, every casual comment.
"Let’s focus on your recovery now," Y/n said, regaining her professional demeanor, but with a glint in her eyes that hinted this story was far from over. "And later... maybe we can talk about that 'outside.'"
Leah chuckled softly, lying back down as the physiotherapist applied the cold compress to her injured thigh. Even in that clinical environment, the tension between them lingered in the air, promising much more than just future consultations and treatments.

Pathetic Caleb who is desperate for ur pussy, there's not a day that goes by without his face between your thighs,Reader giving him a pussy ban and he's doing his best to not dive in whenever reader is doing basic domestic things, like make him cry and beg for it
Thank you anon let’s fucking go
It’s getting to the point where you can’t go a day without Caleb begging for your pussy. Even after a hard day of work, you come home and he’s practically salivating at the idea of drowning in your juices. Barely a step through the door to his apartment and he’s trying to tear off your clothes, guiding you to relax on the couch or the bed, it doesn’t matter as long as he can get between those soft thighs of yours. But it’s too much, it’s like he’s sucked your clit raw from eating you out day after day without break. You feel your overstimulated bud rubbing against your panties during the workday and you decide it’s time for a break.
“Caleb, wait-“ you can’t even finish your sentence before he’s using his evol to close the door behind you, pushing you against it and shoving his lips against yours.
“We need to talk.” You finally manage to speak when he pulls away to breathe. He looks at you with those classic puppy eyes and you almost relent, but you need to set this boundary, even if it’s only temporary.
“Can we do something else tonight? I love when you eat me out it’s just..” you trail off as you see his face fall, knowing his mind is reeling.
Was he not making you feel good enough? There’s no way you were faking your orgasms, he was sure of that, but was there something he was doing wrong?
You cup his cheek with your palm, reassuring his nerves.
“You didn’t do anything wrong, Caleb. I …” you sigh, realizing you’re going to have to put it bluntly.
“My clit hurts from you sucking on it nightly..”
His immediate relief is clear before he furrows his brows once again.
“You’re saying we need to stop? But-“ he cuts himself off. He’d never want to hurt you, but he craves your taste. He’d gone the whole day dreaming about drinking in your sweet slick, now you’re telling him he has to go without?
“I understand, I’m sorry, pipsqueak.” He smiles, but you can tell it’s not genuine.
***
You’re once again throwing your head back against the pillows, your back arching as he brings you close to your second orgasm of the night. There’s no doubt he loves the sight of your pleasure, but he can feel his mouth grow dry with desire. Caleb’s eyes dart downward, longingly gazing at where your bodies become one. You’re drenched in a combination of both of your liquids and he’s desperate for a taste. That’s all he needs. A taste.
He can’t control himself. You’re still riding out your high as he pulls out, giving one long kiss to your sopping cunt, desperately drinking it in as much as he can before you realize what’s happening.
“I’m sorry.” He mumbles between your thighs, the movement of his lips only causing your orgasm to be drawn out further. He’ll take a break from it tomorrow, but tonight he needs his fill.

Out of all the many chores that are required to maintain your rapidly decaying body, I hate haircuts the most. Maybe you expected differently. Dentists, for instance, are widely despised by the general population. Not so: dentists have cool tools, and sometimes they don't notice when you pocket a few of the small ones while their backs are turned.
Barbers just use one or two tools, really. Sure, there's a lot of different kinds of brushes and gels and goops and stuff, but it's not relevant to me, the guy who just wants to be followed in the supermarket by concerned social workers less often. As a result, I end up being alternately bored and terrified while some dude I paid way too much money to removes most of my hair.
Terrified, you ask? Scared... of the barber? Well, not so much the actual hair removal. That's whatever, although I certainly have had the odd missing ear-tip or overenthusiastic scissor action to look back on unfondly. No, what I hate is the small talk. For someone as plainly awkward as myself, it's always a game of wondering if it's rude not to keep the conversation going.
Let me give you a great example. Last week, I was in getting my hair shortened. The barber, a guy named Jim although that's certainly just one of his aliases he knows to dodge any reprisals from sub-standard haircuts, wanted to talk about soccer. We had a short discussion during which it became obvious I know nothing at all about soccer, and then the pause. The long, awkward, pause of disappointment.
When cops try this shit on me, I know not to talk. We have a natural predilection, our species, to try and fill any empty space in conversation with anything that comes off the top of our heads. For the police, that's usually in the form of a confession, an inconsistency, an admission of knowing a little bit more than your rehearsed testimony of a few minutes earlier. With the barber, who knows? We are of the same class. Not saying something might make his workday worse, and then we fall out of solidarity with another. We are divided by the bourgeois monstrosity above us. Crisis ensues.
I decide that I must say something.
"Do you like Plymouths?"
The ensuing conversation is not particularly great. It turns out that Jim, like many others, has confused Plymouth with Pontiac. Trying not to point this out in the middle of his conversation about the Plymouth Cavalier – itself still wrong, even more so – is nearly more than I can bear. I've grit my teeth so much I'll have to go to the dentist next. At least he doesn't expect much conversation out of me while he's trying to jam three hundred dollars in labour into my mouth.

hello! I hope you're doing well :) Its my birthday tomorrow, so I want to request birthday headcanons for some of my favourites (if you write for them, ofc): Ayato, Wriothesley, and Alhaitham!
Thank you so much! 💞
𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐘𝐎𝐔
he wouldn't want to miss out on your special day <3
a/n: hi hi!! i'm doing okay 🥹 i really hope i did your request justice seeing as it is your birthday! i might have gotten a bit excited with this and realised my headcanons followed a little storyline but i do hope you enjoy, and a very happy birthday to you! wishing you all the best for the year 💝🎉
AYATO
Honestly, a small, traitorous part of you believes that the Yashiro Commissioner might have forgotten your birthday. With him being so preoccupied with his work, and much of his days scheduled to the minute by his retainers, you secretly wondered whether he would make time for you. That is why you freeze in shock when you open your front door early in the morning to see your partner at the doorstep. Chuckling at your groggy appearance, he holds your waist and gently combs a hand through your hair to fix it. In your half lucid state you swear you’re dreaming.
Ayato assures you that all the tasks he had to do for the day had been settled, and that nothing would distract him from celebrating with you. His retainers had even encouraged the idea, leaving small notes at his desk to remind him of your birthday to hasten the completion of his work. It was one of the few plans he offered up to them that didn’t leave them absolutely panicked.
There’s no need to worry about what is planned for the day, Ayato naturally has everything prepared. If you enjoy food and drink, he has a table booked at Uyuu Restaurant with an eight course meal specially created just for you. If you’re more partial to rest and relaxation, he has ensured private baths at Aisa Bathhouse (Archons knows, he needs a spa day as well).
As for a gift, Ayato’s observant nature serves him well to pick the perfect one. On your walks about the city, he took note of the objects your eyes sparkled most at. Ones that you picked up, looked at the price tag, then put down in disappointment. In the weeks leading up to your birthday, much of his downtime was spent thinking about what would suit you best. His retainers would catch him with a furrow between his brows, staring into the distance. They would chatter about how committed the clan head is to his duties, even mulling over them during his short breaks.
In the end, he decided on getting something custom-made for you. A kimono made from a fabric you couldn’t stop admiring at the textile store. A purple silk brocade with delicate white flowers. You had draped it on yourself asking Ayato for his thoughts. Eyes trailing your body, the colours complimented you perfectly. For the first time, Ayato seemed at a loss for words.
He makes you feel treasured. Despite the obstacles your two had faced, from the critical eye of the public to the hushed whisperings between clans, Ayato’s loyalty was unwavering.
AL-HAITHAM
As someone who has proclaimed how overzealous people can be about birthdays, your excitement in the lead up to yours is actually infectious to him. The night before, he’s surprised to hear humming from the bathroom as you get ready for bed. He can’t contain the fond smile on his face at your slightly off-key tone. The book he was holding has already been stored away on the bedside table as he closes his eyes to focus on your voice.
Whilst Alhaitham always kisses you on the forehead in the mornings before he gets up, when you wake on your birthday you are being smothered with kisses. You giggle, trying to swat him away, worried about your bad breath, but he’s relentless and you concede. He whispers a ‘happy birthday’ to you after the final peck, content with the reaction he has provoked in you so early in the day.
Although it is your birthday, it is unfortunately still a workday. The very last thing you expect to see is Alhaitham walking into your work area during the middle of the day. Rushing over to him, your eyes wide in surprise, you ask why he’s here so soon. He plainly replies that he had no other essential meetings today, so he left. You’re flabbergasted, but you can’t complain. Especially since it meant more time together on your birthday.
He follows you around as you tend to the plants at the garden, making small conversation with you. You inwardly observe how he looks somewhat like a puppy — cocking his head to the side at a unique flower, curious about your craft. Arms folded, he waits for you to finish up and take your early leave (granted generously to you by the kindness of your supervisor).
Lambad’s Tavern is quiet in the early evening, the low chatter of few patrons providing a peaceful ambience to your dinner. Rounding the meal off with drinks and a customary dessert. To onlookers, this celebration would seem unusually casual. However, it’s that exact sort of comfortability with him that makes you feel so secure.
He waits until the private of your home to give your gift. Sitting on the couch, he brings out a small box containing a timepiece in it. Alhaitham remembered how absorbed you often got in your work, even forgetting to take breaks. Even though the Akasha System can instantaneously provide the time upon request, a physical object serves as a better reminder of time for you to eat and step away from work. You return your thanks to the practical yet thoughtful gift by placing a kiss on his cheek, feeling how warm they are under your lips. He’ll assert it’s from the liquor he drank, and surely not the burning affection he feels for you in this moment.
WRIOTHESLEY
Clorinde had to endure some minor lecturing after being entrusted with the Fortress of Meropide for the day so Wriothesley could celebrate your birthday. The Duke did not want to be interrupted on this day unless the situation was dire, so he made his instructions clear. Arms folded, Clorinde stopped herself from rolling her eyes (‘He’s acting like I’ve never stepped foot in here before’), but she couldn’t help chuckling at how determined her friend was at wanting to spend time with you. And so, the missive was given that the Duke would be heading to the surface for urgent matters (the nature of such matters left omitted).
It was a beautiful day on the surface, made even more so when Wriothesley sees you waiting on the street — hands interlocked in front of you, rocking on your heels. Though he did find your pose endearing, he internally curses himself at leaving you waiting on your birthday. He didn’t realise how much he ached for your presence until you looked over with a beaming smile and began running towards him. Gentleman that he is, he hurriedly apologised for making you wait.
High tea is a must to celebrate, so the two of you head to Hotel Debord or Café Lutece, finding a private corner where you can freely talk. He updates you on the affairs at the Fortress, and he listens attentively at your news about the surface.
You order different types of teas to try along with complimenting snacks. Wriothesley nods thoughtfully with each cup, but you notice with amusement that he’s holding himself back from truly commenting (“These teas are nice, but I think your collection is better”, you say. He smirks knowingly, but raises his hands in innocence, “I have to say I agree with you there”).
He’s had your gift planned since the beginning of the year. On a rare outing to the Court of Fontaine to conduct business, a silver necklace on display at a jewellery store halted his stride. It had a red oval-shaped gem as a pendant, which the salesman claimed was the jewelsmith’s symbol for passion. The jewelsmith supposedly fell in love with someone who lived far from Fontaine, and created this piece to commemorate his devotion. It was an obvious marketing technique — one that would entice any imaginative lay person. Despite knowing the salesman’s clever ploy, something did stir within the Duke’s heart.
Wriothesley sees you almost on the verge of tears when he presents the necklace to you. Embracing you tightly, he whispers promises into your ear. Every birthday feels more intimate than the last, and you can’t help but picture what a future with him would be like.

Ritsu had politely requested some of your personal time after the end of the workday. Despite establishing a tentative relationship, he always made formal requests like this. Perhaps it had grown to be charming, or perhaps you were simply used to it. Nonetheless, you agreed and were invited into his dorm room.
Ritsu kept a rigorous schedule whenever possible. He reviewed his coursework and the day's recordings, he took notes on everyone he'd encountered or beheld that day into neat profiles and behavioral models that were surprisingly accurate for most of their subjects. When all of that was done he watched opera performances before he went to bed. This overlapped with the requested personal time, and so you sat beside him at his personal laptop, taking in the performance with him.
While he demanded silence while he worked, he didn't mind some conversation during this down time, despite saying he used it to gather his thoughts. What was more unusual was that this time he spoke first.
"May I kiss you?"
That wasn't exactly what you were expecting. You were expecting commentary on the performance or questions about your feelings or your day. "What?"
"I'd like to give you a kiss. To clarify, that would be on the cheek, for no longer than three seconds."
"You--yeah, of course you can. . . ." Ritsu extended his thanks, leaned towards you, and gingerly pressed his lips against your cheek. "You're my boyfriend, you don't really have to ask me that. . . ."
As he said, the kiss lingered only briefly. If you'd been counting, he cut it close at 2.75 seconds. However, the lightly frustrated look he gave you told you he disagreed.
"Unwanted sexual conduct is--"
"It wouldn't be unwanted though!"
"Please don't interrupt me."
"Sorry." But you continued. "But it wouldn't be unwanted. I'd like it if--I consent to you kissing me, even without asking me first. As long as you stop if I tell you to."
Ritsu didn't look convinced, but considered this quietly, observing you as if seeking signs of malice. You let him analyze you before deciding the spontaneity wouldn't kill him--if you were gentle anyway--and you leaned in close.
When he jumped, you froze. You wouldn't do it if he didn't want you to. A look of conflict crossed his features.
"Body language can be consent too, you know." You remind him. "Not everything can be verbal."
Ritsu made a small sound of frustration. Then he leaned in as well. When he stopped short of your lips touching, you stopped as well. He gazed at you, uncertain and serious.
"If you truly intend to give me advance consent, I would like it formally in writing, and signed, as soon as possible."
Cool. Relationship homework. You weren't certain if you wanted to laugh or roll your eyes.
You settled for bumping your forehead against his, and pressing your lips together when he didn't pull away.

All That She Wants Chapter 2: Waylaid
Series: All That She Wants
Fandom: The Royal Romance
Pairings for this chapter: Riley x Drake
Word Count: 827
Rating: M
Warnings for this chapter: sexual innuendo, infidelity
My other stuff: Master List.

Drake Walker was nothing if not predictable.
Every morning started with a protein shake, followed by a five-mile run. He worked out regularly in the gym with the rest of his unit, but on his days off he could be found poolside.
Swimming was good cardio and a nice way to change up his workout routine.
He pulled himself out of the water and headed for his towel.
“Looking good there, Walker.”
He froze, towel in one hand, water still dripping from his body. He’d know that voice anywhere. Struggling for composure, he forced his body to move. He toweled off quickly as he turned toward her. “Hey, Brooks. What are you doing out here in the middle of a workday?”
“Relaxing. I decided I needed a little me time, so I took it.”
His eyebrow arched as he tried to figure out why she was giving him a pass for the use of her maiden name. She usually reminded him promptly and imperiously that her name was Rys now.
As if he could forget that detail.
She held up a glass of iced tea with an inviting smile. “Want some?”
Shivers cascaded down his spine at the teasing lilt in her tone. His mouth went dry as he fought against every instinct that he had not to let his eyes wander over her body. He cleared his throat and glanced away before nodding. “Sure.”
“Well, come on then, sit.” She patted the outdoor chaise lounge next to her.
He sat down gingerly as he checked her out surreptitiously from his peripheral vision.
She was still just as beautiful as she had been all those years ago when he’d walked into that bar in New York. He had made his play for her during the engagement tour.
She had fucked him on a pool table and then gotten engaged to his best friend without so much as a conversation in between.
Riley gave him a scintillating smile as she handed him his own glass. Iced tea was a drink she had brought to the palace with her from America. Not that he was any stranger to it, being half Texan.
All of which begged the question, why did she have two glasses? He glanced around the pool area but saw no one else present. Was she waiting for someone? But if so, why offer the second glass to him?
Pushing his nerves, and his questions aside, he reached for the glass, his fingers brushing against hers, sending an electric jolt sparking through him. He dropped his eyes away from her as he muttered a barely audible, “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome,” she purred. “And what do I get in exchange?”
His head snapped up, his eyes frantically searching her face for clues about this new development.
Was she flirting with him?
The thought sent a thrill of excitement racing through him, chased by a wave of pure terror.
His feelings for her had never changed, but her feelings had always been, and remained, a complete mystery to him.
She was never rude to him. She was always polite. Quite often friendly. But never flirty. Not since that night in Paris.
Had that night meant anything to her? Or did she view it as a meaningless fling? He didn’t know, and he’d never asked.
His heart was pounding in his chest like a jackrabbit on Red Bull as he sat the untouched glass on the table next to him and then leaned toward her. “What do you want?”
She leaned forward as well, closing what little distance was left between them. Her head tipped back to peer up at him with a sparkle in her eyes that he had seen once before. His gaze dipped to her lips as her tongue darted out to moisten them, then darted back to her eyes as she whispered, “What if I said…. you?”
A million questions exploded through his brain. He knew he should ask why, or at least why now. It would be prudent to inquire what exactly she meant by him. His body? His heart? For an hour? Forever?
So many questions tumbled through him, but none of them found their way to the tip of his tongue.
The heat in her eyes gave the most immediate answers he needed. She wanted him, physically, right now.
Drake Walker was nothing if not predictable and perhaps the most predictable thing about him was his loyalty to Liam Rys. Which made his next move almost unthinkable, but the deepest desire of his heart was being dangled in front of him and he was taking it.
He was afraid any undue conversation might kill the unexpected opportunity that had just inexplicably opened up in front of him. Pushing his emotions deep down inside, something he was an expert at, he returned her seductive smile with one of his own as he stood and offered her his hand. “I’d say, what are we waiting for?”

I decided to try something new. The anxiety and dread really creep up on me late at night when I can't sleep. When this happens, I get on the floor and do a sit-ups routine. I've been doing this for a few nights now and I think it's helping me channel all the negative energy and thoughts. I also joined a chat at work where people will randomly call out a small exercise during the workday and we all try to do it if we can. Encourage each other and remind each other to step away from the screen for a bit.
My body aches but it's the dumb thoughts like "do it for Frodo" and "get stronger so you can outlive them" are keeping me from rotting. I need to be strong so I can support my friends and I need to remind myself my friends will support me too. We will find a way. We will prevail. I have your back as you have mine. We won't let the fascists get the best of us.
#just rambling#im gunna do push ups too#channel my anger#we will defy those who want to repress us#we will prevail despite their efforts

96th Batch Of Fics: 5th Fill
Hanzo(/Cassidy) – Part 5/5 – hurt/comfort – Hanzo gets a bit of a reprieve for once. (hopeful/open ending)
---
The moment Hanzo gets into his private rooms, the twins burst forth. There is no holding them now. They wrap around them in crackling, warm electricity, barely letting him stumble toward the bathroom. They’re growling. Purring. Chirping. They’re making all sorts of sounds and Hanzo doesn’t know if they’re supposed to be comforting him or each other.
On his way to the bathroom, his gaze falls onto a small piece of paper on his desk. It is folded on a sharp edge and stark white. He pauses, heart throbbing in his chest and in his swollen, ruined pussy. He makes a hoarse little sound in the back of his throat, one hand sliding down, cupping himself. Feeling how wet and tacky his gash still is right against his palm.
He’d barely been able to put on his kimono before stumbling his way here. He wonders where his underwear went – it might still be at his father’s.
The twins are still, wrapped tightly around him as he slowly reaches a shaking hand out for the piece of paper and grasps it. He unfolds it and stares at the penmanship. It’s his father’s.
I have been informed about the doe eyes you are making at that bodyguard of your’s.
I do not care if you spread your legs for him or not, but I feel the need to remind you of our little arrangement.
Be obedient, or I will see about shifting my attention toward Genji.
Do not test me, boy.
Hanzo slowly lowers the paper down onto his desk again. He folds it along the edge once more, finger slowly rubbing against it over and over while he just stares at nothing in particular. His head is empty of any particular thoughts or feelings.
The twins twine around his legs, their heads lying on his shoulders. He feels a dollop of sticky semen slowly slip out of him and trickle down the inside of his thigh in a warm little slide that has goosebumps break out all over his body. At the same time, one of the twins slides out his forked tongue, tickling the edge of his jaw.
Hanzo shudders. He slowly swivels on one heel and starts moving toward his bathroom. He feels like he’s having an out of body experience; like he is just watching in on himself as he moves mechanically, kimono sliding to the floor and feet leading him into the shower. He doesn’t look at the mirror, but even the distorted reflection in the chrome around him makes him queasy, so he stares at his toes for a while as warm water hits him between the shoulder blades and slowly starts loosening his muscles one by one.
He is exhausted. The twins are purring at him. They seem to follow his lead, being all over the place with their emotions, but ultimately very affectionate with their master. It takes a while for all three to find that sea of serenity that makes them calm down again but by the time Hanzo steps out of the shower he feels a lot more human. A lot more… inside himself.
He takes his time meticulously brushing his hair and tries not to wriggle too much on the low stool he’s sat down on. Tries not to keep pressing his thighs together around his swollen, puffy cunt and get himself excited again.
The twins are wrapped around his feet, shuddering whenever a warm sizzle of arousal creeps through Hanzo’s body. It’s all confused lust with no rhyme or reason; something Hanzo has grown used to over the years. Something that will simmer on the backburner of his awareness all day until father or Genji are in need of him.
He slowly pulls himself back up on his feet and shuffles over to the door of his bathroom, pulling it open – and freezing when he sees that there is someone in his room.
Cassidy is standing there; looking different without the dark suit that he is made to wear during his workday. He’s wearing old, washed-out jeans that cling to his thick thighs and a plaid shirt that vaguely hurts Hanzo’s eyes. Have the twins not noticed someone entering the room? Or have they decided that Cassidy is no threat, so they would not alert Hanzo?
Hanzo’s head swims. His fingers curl tight around the edge of the door as he stares at Cassidy’s back.
Cassidy is in the process of lifting something up to his face. A piece of paper which he flicks open with his thumb to see what it contains. The paper from Hanzo’s desk.
“Stop.” Hanzo’s voice comes out as a croak, rusty with an edge of panic.
Cassidy immediately lifts his head and looks at him while throwing the paper back down to the desk with a flick of his fingers.
“Ah- sorry ‘bout… that…” he slows down, jaw going lax and eyes dragging along Hanzo’s body. He hasn’t covered himself up. Why should he have covered himself up if he thought that he would be alone in his own rooms in the middle of the night?
Hanzo wordlessly steps back into the bathroom and refuses to freak out. His movements are stiff and jerky, though, as he grabs for his discarded robe and pulls it on. They are movements of a person that is definitely freaking out.
He nearly cries out when he hears a soft rap of knuckles against the still slightly open door of the bathroom.
“Sorry, sir. I didn’t mean ta intrude.”
“But you did,” Hanzo hisses, his ears burning with shame. He does not sound quite as angry as he would like to have. He ties the sash of his kimono tightly and wonders if it still reeks of cum and the sweat of four horny teenagers. He wonders if he still reeks despite all the lotions he’s rubbed into his skin.
His insides feel sensitive and needy, his nipples tingling from the brush of the kimono’s silk against them with every single one of his movements. His head swims. He feels like he is going insane.
“What are you doing here?” he asks tiredly as he finally turns around to face Cassidy. He’s not quite opened the door but he is peeking inside even so because he’s a pervert. And Hanzo’s whole body lights up for it. His cunt aches, a tremble high up inside it making his knees grow a little weaker. He’s become addicted to perverts. “What time is it?”
“Uh… three. In the morning.”
Cassidy flushes dull and steps back obediently when Hanzo walks toward him. He’s a huge dog. Eager to please. Eager to please Hanzo.
Hanzo glares at him but it is half hearted. He does not quite walk past him either, deciding to stay in the general warmth of his body heat and the smell wafting off of him warm and familiar. Genji had described him quite uncharitably earlier. Hanzo is fond of his smell for some reason.
Because you’re a pervert yourself.
“Well? What are you doing here at three in the morning?”
Despite the arousal lapping through his body he can feel the energy starting to be sapped out from him. It had been a long day and he is supposed to be up again in four or five hours.
“I just…”
Hanzo looks up at the tone in Cassidy’s voice. It doesn’t sound as playful as it usually does. There’s a bit of a tightness to his easy going expression.
“Couldn’t shake the feelin’ that somethin’ was up. Had to come an’ make sure you’re alright.”
“Well.” Hanzo can’t say more. He is taken aback by the frank admission if he is quite honest. The twins, once more inside his body, are curling up together, purring and quite content with the developments.
Cassidy leans down some. He’s not wearing his stupid hat but he has his hand lifted like he’s about to thumb it up and out of his eyes anyway. This idiot. This big, bumbling…
“Are you? Alright, I mean.”
A stray drop of water slides down the inside of Hanzo’s thigh. He thinks it is water. He hopes it is water. His legs feel unsteady as he slowly nods, staring at Cassidy’s warm eyes.
If Cassidy were to ask whether he could fuck him, Hanzo would just let him. He’d just lean over the side of his couch and keen for it. He would do a lot of things to get Cassidy inside of him and the thought is as startling as it is upsetting. Like something in his head has shifted and cracked.
Like Genji and his friends have finally managed to overload him.
He nods slowly. Cassidy’s head starts bobbing along, mimicking the slow, careful up-and-down of Hanzo’s chin.
His eyes are stuck to Hanzo’s mouth. Cassidy wants to kiss him. Hanzo wants Cassidy to kiss him.
But the bodyguard huffs softly and stands back up straight without doing it.
“Alright. I’m ah… sorry for barging in.”
Hanzo steps forward, hands shooting out and curling around Cassidy’s thick wrist. Just holding on for a second before tugging on him.
Cassidy stares at him, his mouth going open and soft. Before he can ask, Hanzo says: “Stay. With me.”
Cassidy doesn’t have it in him to deny Hanzo. That much is obvious. He nods slowly and trots after him into his bedroom like the obedient dog he is.
Hanzo wishes he would ask him to sleep with him. He wishes he had that excuse to just let this big boy roll on top of him and fill him up again with cock.
But Cassidy is a perfect gentleman and does not ask, and Hanzo doesn’t have it in him to do the first step.
They crawl into bed. Cassidy behind him, curling around him and wrapping an arm around Hanzo’s hips.
“It’s just… you’ve looked like you’ve seen a ghost,” he suddenly whispers against the back of Hanzo’s head.
Hanzo closes his eyes tightly. He doesn’t know what to say. His fingers clench in the bedding and the twins relax in his chest. They unfurl, filling him up with their spirits, warm and glowing from the inside in a way they haven’t had in years. As they begin to purr inside Hanzo’s chest, his fingers too slowly begin to relax along with the anxiety that had been gnawing on him and eroding him from the inside out for who knew how long.
It’s like a punch to the gut. It leaves him blinking slowly, mouth lax as he breathes through the feeling of his entire being relaxing back into Cassidy, the twins more content than he has ever known them to be.
He feels like his voice is slurring as he says a simply “Goodnight, Cassidy.”
Cole is quiet for a bit longer. He seems to think through his options but in the end he just tightens his arm around Hanzo’s waist and presses his face harder into the nape of his neck. Hanzo can feel the vibration of his voice as he replies:
“...Goodnight, sir.”

SO! Woke up this morning, had my period. Booooooo. Already moving slower than usual.
Took my sweet time getting ready to sit down at my computer and do work. Work went well! 2 out of 4 students showed up, I took care of the few emails I had waiting for me AND I made breakfast!
I made Mr Ariel lunch bc now he can walk back home during the day and we hung out and watched Bar Rescue. This is also when I started getting reeeeeeaaaalllyyyy uncomfortable. My everything was hurting. We decided that were doing take out for dinner bc I deserve it lol he went back to work and I'm finishing up some follow up emails to students.
I also took a break to have some ziti bc I finally felt hungry for lunch and it hit the spotttttt. AND I had a creamsicle! I'm feeling better now (let's see how long that lasts) so I'm going to shut down my computer, hop in bed and spend my time reading and hanging out on here :)
I thiiiiiink, if I'm not feeling too achy and tired I'm gonna do a little spa night. Dermaplane, face mask, some full body exfoliation, the whole nine! or as much as I can manage lol.
How's your day been? Boo your job for keeping you from me but I'm glad you were getting stuff done today!
NOOOO waking up & realizing you got your period is such a mood damper but look at you pushing through! Also that’s so nice that you & Mr Ariel can enjoy your lunch breaks together - having lunch with loved ones is a big pick me up throughout the tedious workday!
And I hope you ended up having that spa night 🌚 did you buy any new products to try out? I was thinking about getting a shower oil to help lock in moisture but idk which one to get….
My day was okay! It was a public holiday so I was home but I had to study for an exam…so not really a free day :’). But I had time to make a pasta salad & cookies & I even went for a walk + listened to my audiobook

I'm really freaking angry that I didn't have the time/spoons to do things that are good for me this week. (And had way too much work). And then today during my workday I got freaking sickkkk. Noooooo. It feels like it's the same freaking thing that I had a few weeks ago and I hate it. My ear's not closed yet and I started using nasal spray to try to prevent it from closing this time, but fuck this bullshit. I was really looking forward to a weekend in which I could actually *do* fun things.
It makes me feel trapped, because my life isn't changing any time soon. I still have two weeks like this and then three calmer weeks, but after that a period like this again. Only after February are things supposed to calm down for some months.
TW: abuse, violence/homicide
I also keep watching these German documentaries in which grown-up abused kids talk about their experiences and I probably shouldn't do that. It hits close to home. One in particular, where a boy reminded me of Fox and Robin a lot. He was so desperate and open to connect. Rejected by his mother. And even as an adult, you could see the repressed tears and the not-understanding. Verzweiflung.
He ended up threatening to stab his mother as a 10 year-old, after which he was removed from the home and from all of his supports. He keeps showing up at his mother's home, desperate, begging to be allowed to stay there and not have to go back. I begged and begged as a child, before Lucas came to be.
When Fox was the main daily life part, we functioned pretty well at school and socially. Except for his Verzweiflung around my mum. What do you do when someone actively hates you? Especially when you still love them? Apparently you split. So the fox carries most of the anger and Boundary that we could not express. The boundary being; "leave me alone". I was around 13 or 14 and Bf told me many times that I needed to be mean to my mum, show her what she is like, and he said that he could help me get rid of a body and to make it look like an accident or self-defense. I'm sure he was probably joking or in a narcissistic fantasy, but in my mind it felt like the ultimate loyalty. I felt like I Needed To Defend Myself and this was the only way. The more normal way of talking about the conflict felt so unbelievably scary that this seemed like the better option. No moment for anyone to say something back. (Of course also no actual resolve of the conflict, but apparently I had zero hope for that anyway).
It went pretty far. I considered my self-harm to be practice with handling knifes. I practised the scenario by stabbing stuffed animals. I had this whole idea of how it would go.
Pretty scary, huh?
Well, it definitely scared me.
I never ended up doing it. Changed the fantasy scenario to killing my friend's mom as she killed mine. Revenge, but slightly less personal.
T asked me to hurt or confront abusers in imagination as part of a trauma processing technique and it brought up all of this scary stuff.
What's helping is to look at the confrontations in Avatar: The Last Airbender. (Spoiler alert). Katara decides not to hurt someone, even when she doesn't forgive the person. Zuko only redirects the lightning pointed at him. Aang is told by numerous other avatars to kill Ozai, but he still follows his own instincts not to and only takes away his powers so he cannot hurt others anymore.
I don't know if I'll take T's advice.

[Evan] Secret Whispers in Dense Shade (繁荫秘语)
-
It was an ordinary workday. Just as I arrived at the office, Li Manman pushed the door open and entered.
Li Manman: Oh my goodness, oh my goodness! Just a friendly warning, everyone, you absolutely have to be on your best behavior today.
Mao Ge: Oh? What happened? What scared our Manman so much?
Li Manman rubbed the goosebumps on her arms, recalling with lingering fear.
Li Manman: I ran into Director Lu in the elevator just now! He was totally different from usual today. His face was incredibly cold...
Li Manman: The moment our eyes met, I felt like I was going to freeze into an ice cube!
Li Manman: I bet none of you have ever seen that expression before. It was terrifying!!
You: Huh?
Listening to her description, I suddenly recalled something that happened during lunch break yesterday.
...
At noon that day, as per Evan's previous request, I had organized a set of jewelry design materials and delivered them to his office.
When I knocked on the office door, an unusually indifferent voice came through.
Evan: Come in.
I pushed open the door and saw Evan leaning back in his chair, his brow deeply furrowed, his eyes seeming to churn with heavy dark clouds.
When I reached his desk, he was still gazing out the window, lost in thought.
Evan: Just leave it.
You: Okay.
Hearing my voice, he turned his head, and the expression on his face immediately softened considerably.
Evan: Oh? It's you.
Evan: Sorry, I was thinking about something.
I thought of his unusual expression when I entered and couldn't help but ask cautiously.
You: It's fine. This is the information you requested. Are you... alright?
But before he could answer, his desk phone abruptly rang, interrupting our conversation.
You: Well, I'll let you get back to work then!
Evan nodded at me apologetically, so I left his office.
Was he going through something unhappy...?
With Evan's personality, even if he had worries, he probably wouldn't mention them to anyone.
...
That evening, back home, I turned on the TV and found it was playing a program about camping.
Lush, deep forests, chirping birdsongs... everything there seemed to possess a natural healing power, cleansing people's tired bodies and minds.
For some reason, I thought of Evan again.
You: There's a big forest in the suburbs of Guangqi City, and it's currently the season of clear skies and crisp air.
You: If I could ask Evan out for a walk in the forest, perhaps he'd feel a little better?
The moment this thought popped into my head, I eagerly grabbed my phone and found his familiar name.
Just as I was about to press the call button, a question suddenly occurred to me.
You: If I directly invite him, even if he doesn't want to go, he probably won't refuse my request.
You: I need to gauge his thoughts first. I can't push him too much.
After a brief thought, I dialed his number.
Evan: Y/N? Is something wrong?
You: ...Um, Evan, lately, I've suddenly become very interested in coffee.
Evan: Oh? What kind of coffee do you like? I'd be happy to tell you about it.
You: Ah... I haven't quite decided on that yet.
You: Ahem. Have you ever seen a coffee tree? I haven't seen a coffee tree with my own eyes yet! I really want to see one sometime~
Evan: About that...
Evan's voice held clear hesitation. I awkwardly scratched my head. Was my topic too strange?!
Evan: Coffee trees have quite strict requirements for their growing environment. As far as I know, the soil pH and rainfall in Guangqi City don't meet them.
Evan: So, in Guangqi City, you probably won't be able to see coffee trees.
Evan: However, next time I'm on leave, we could go to Africa together.
You: Ah? Africa? No need, no need.
You: ...Ah haha... then, then...
Every cloud has a silver lining. A flash of inspiration struck my mind.
You: What about bamboo fungus?
You: I ate bamboo fungus when I had hotpot a few days ago, and I thought it was such a magical creature! I really want to see one sometime!
Evan paused on the other end of the phone. I wondered if he noticed the performative element in my tone.
Evan: Indeed. Although information is advanced nowadays, seeing something with your own eyes always feels different.
Evan: When are you free? We could go see it together.
You: That's great!
I was waiting for you to say that!
You: This weekend, I wonder if you have time?
Evan: Hmm, I'm free this weekend.
Evan: Just going for a walk in the forest makes you this happy?
You: Hahahaha, yeah! I'm super happy!
Evan: Then have you ever tried hiking or camping before?
You: Not yet... But don't worry!
You: I've watched a lot of videos about camping online. Just leave the equipment preparation to me.
Evan: Alright. I'll leave it to you then.
Evan: Saturday morning at 10 AM, I'll drive to pick you up. Is that okay?
You: Mm! It's a promise!
Soon, the agreed-upon day arrived.
When I appeared downstairs with a camping backpack almost half my height, Evan, who was waiting by the car, showed a slightly astonished expression.
Evan: Is that...?
I looked at Evan not far away, also lost in thought for a moment.
It was my first time seeing Evan in such casual attire. The soft, form-fitting fabric made his shoulders appear even broader and more dependable, putting me at ease.
You: Haha, did I bring too much stuff? Actually, this is what I was thinking.
You: In case we can't find bamboo fungus today, we can still set up camp in the forest and spend the night.
You: What do you think?
He walked forward with a smile, taking the heavy backpack from my shoulders.
Evan: Sounds good. Your first camping trip, of course, should be enjoyed to the fullest.
The gentleness in his eyes was no different from usual. There was none of the coldness others spoke of. I secretly felt a wave of relief.
You: Then let's go!
We drove for nearly an hour on the suburban highway, arriving near the forest on the outskirts of Guangqi City.
Evan effortlessly lifted my backpack from the trunk and slung it over his shoulder.
You: That's pretty heavy. I can carry it myself, you know?
Evan: Since we're traveling together, we should each contribute our strengths, don't you think?
You: Alright, thank you then!
As we stepped into the forest, a vibrant, lush green enveloped us.
The omnipresent clamor and light were shut out, creating a secluded and tranquil atmosphere. The air was humid and warm, carrying the sweet fragrance of grass and trees. I took a deep breath, feeling every pore expand.
I looked back at Evan. He was still standing tall as usual, his expression calm.
You: Evan, the whole point of coming here is to relax!
Evan: Thank you, I am very relaxed.
You: You can relax even more! Come on, like this—spread your arms, take a deep breath, "Ah—"
He chuckled helplessly. Just as I thought he would refuse, he mimicked my actions and spread his arms.
Evan: Ah—
You: Hahahaha, yes, just like that.
I took out a map and a compass from my bag.
You: Today, I'll be the captain! I've marked all the routes we can explore. Let me see... this way first!
Evan: Alright, I'll follow your lead, Captain Y/N.
We proceeded into the forest, following the direction indicated on the map.
As we walked, we chatted about the plants and animals we saw. To be precise, Evan was introducing them to me.
Evan: I'm sorry. Is it boring always listening to me talk about these things?
You: No, not at all! Hearing you introduce them makes me even more interested.
You: Besides, when you talk about things you like, your expression changes from your usual one.
Evan: Like? I don't know if I'd call it "like." But if you like it, I suppose I should too.
He smiled nonchalantly, stopped, and took out tissues and a water bottle from his bag.
Evan: Come, wipe your sweat, and then hydrate a bit.
You: Thank you.
Just as we paused to rest, the faint sound of flowing water reached our ears.
You: It looks like there's a small river ahead. It's exactly as it's drawn on the map.
Evan: It seems Captain Y/N is leading us well.
We followed the sound, and before long, we found the river.
Clear stream water flowed over pebbles, reflecting shimmering golden light.
The wind blowing from the water was very cool, invigorating my somewhat tired spirit.
You: The cool breeze from the river feels so good! The sound of the spring water tinkling is so healing too.
Evan: There are some flat stones here, perfect for sitting.
Evan: Do you want to rest for a bit?
I decide to...
Option 1: Rest where we are Option 2: Walk a bit more before resting Option 3: Option 4: Option 5:
-
Option 1: Rest where we are
You: The scenery here is great. How about we rest here for a bit?
Evan: Of course. Let's sit here.
I sat down next to Evan on a rock by the river, stretched widely, and relaxed my slightly aching back and legs.
The nearby vegetation was sparse, and golden sunlight dappled us. The river water was crystal clear, and sunlight, passing through the ripples, left moving golden patterns on the riverbed.
Some gray shadows occasionally darted across the bottom of the water. I looked closely and excitedly patted Evan.
You: Look, there are fish in the river!
Evan: Hmm, there are quite a few. They look like perch.
You: They're so big...
I stared at the plump fish, and a hollow feeling surprisingly began to grow in my stomach.
I can't believe I'm already hungry after walking for such a short time!
Steaming them would probably be delicious! Add a bit of cooking wine and soy sauce, and the meat would be tender and full of flavor...
But braising them would be good too! First, deep-fry them, then stir-fry with soybean paste, Sichuan peppercorns, and star anise until fragrant, then add water and slowly reduce the sauce. The aroma would be rich...
I involuntarily swallowed, then guiltily glanced at Evan, hoping he hadn't noticed my rich inner monologue.
Evan: You're not, by any chance, thinking about whether to braise or steam this fish, are you?
You: ???... Take the camera out of my head!
Evan: Why would I need a camera? Your expression already tells me everything.
Evan: Steaming and braising might be difficult, but if we have a stove, we can try grilling fish here.
Hearing the words "grilling fish," I instantly felt my back pain and leg aches disappear. My whole body filled with energy.
I sprang up from the rock.
You: Grilling fish sounds great! I brought a stove! Besides the stove, I also have a grill rack and seasonings!
Evan: That's good.
You: Then only one question remains—how are we going to catch the fish?
Evan looked around and, after a moment's thought, said.
Evan: There are traces of a barbecue on the ground. It seems others have grilled fish here before.
Evan: We can search nearby to see if there are any discarded tools we can use.
You: Okay!
Evan went left, and I went right, searching along the riverbank.
Before long, I pushed aside some grass and excitedly picked up something.
You: Evan! Look what I found, a fishing net!
Evan heard the sound and walked over, taking the rusty fishing net and examining it.
Evan: If we sharpen it on a stone, it should still be usable.
You: That's great!
Evan took the fishing net to a stone and sharpened it back and forth. Soon, the tip of the net regained its metallic silver luster, looking very sharp.
After he finished sharpening it, I eagerly took the fishing net and held it in my hand. Evan looked at me with a slight surprise.
Evan: You want to try?
You: Yeah, I want to try! And I'm wearing a skirt, so I don't have to worry about getting my pants wet.
Evan looked at me, wielding the fishing net, eager to try. A trace of indulgence seemed to color his gentle gaze.
Evan: Alright, but be careful not to slip.
You: Mm!
I took the fishing net to the riverbank and quietly searched with my eyes.
Before long, a shadow darted across the bottom of the water, but before I could react, it swam away.
I observed for a while longer, gradually becoming familiar with the fish's movements.
When another fish appeared, I seized the opportunity, raised the fishing net high, and thrust it down forcefully!
The fishing net stirred up the river water, muddying the riverbed's silt. When the surface of the water calmed again, the fish was long gone, and only the fishing net was deeply embedded in the riverbed.
You: I think I missed...
A soft chuckle came from behind me. Then a warm hand grasped the handle of the fishing net with mine, effortlessly pulling it out and returning it to me.
Evan: It's okay. Try again.
Evan: Throw the net further away. Don't hurt yourself.
I nodded and took the net. Soon, I aimed at another fish.
I secretly encouraged myself, I can do it this time!
When I swung the net downwards, I distinctly felt that my aim was much better this time!
However, the fish thrashed under my net and then quickly darted away...
You: Oh, is it because I'm not strong enough?
Evan: You hesitated just now.
You: Hmm, maybe a little? When I thought about piercing the fish's body with this steel net, I suddenly felt a bit hesitant to do it...
Evan: It's normal to feel reluctant. How about I do it?
A feeling of unwillingness to give up surged in my heart, and I quickly hid the fishing net behind my back.
You: No, don't! I've only tried twice! Give me a few more chances, and I'll definitely catch one.
Evan: Alright.
Evan: Then your movements need to be faster, and you need to strike harder.
Evan: Perhaps imagine it as your enemy? Or someone you dislike.
You: Hahahaha... Well...
I thought hard for a while but couldn't think of anyone I particularly disliked.
So I turned to Evan and asked casually.
You: I can't think of anyone right now. Do you have anyone you dislike?
Evan froze, his eyelids slightly lowered, as if hiding some emotion.
I suddenly remembered that this outing was precisely because something unhappy had happened to him. His expression made it even clearer that the answer was yes...
You: Don't think about unhappy things! The person you dislike must not be a good person. I'll teach him a lesson!
He curved his lips as if amused, and that curve quickly softened a bit.
Evan: Then thank you.
I walked back to the riverbank with the fishing net, thinking about Evan's reaction just now.
A person as strong as him, what kind of things would trouble him, and what kind of people would he constantly struggle with?
If only I could truly clear some obstacles for him.
Just then, a fish slowly entered my field of vision. With this thought in mind, I raised the fishing net high and thrust it down without hesitation!
However, the sudden excessive force made me lose my balance. My waist flashed backward, and my foot slipped—
You: Ow!
Splash! Water splattered everywhere. I actually slipped and landed in the river on my bottom...
Evan: !!
Fortunately, the river wasn't deep; it only reached my waist. Evan immediately came forward and helped me up.
Evan: Are you okay?
You: I'm fine... just my backside hurts a bit. Hiss—
Evan: Slowly.
Evan supported me, helping me back onto the rock to sit down. I looked down at myself; my skirt was completely soaked, dripping water.
I gathered the hem of my skirt in my hand and wrung out a large amount of water. This was so embarrassing...
Evan: Does it still hurt anywhere else?
I awkwardly brushed my hair aside and shook my head.
After confirming I wasn't injured, Evan moved the stove to my feet and lit it. He then took off his jacket and draped it over my legs.
Evan: Be careful not to catch a cold.
The moment his words fell, my stomach growled as if urging him. I quickly covered it in embarrassment.
Evan: Got it. I'll take care of preparing lunch.
You: Then I'll leave it to you...
Evan: It's no trouble.
Evan took off his glasses, rolled up his sleeves, and picked up the fishing net I had discarded on the riverbank.
I pulled his jacket tighter around me, looking up at him curiously.
I wondered what the usually dignified and disciplined CEO of Wan Zhen would look like wielding a steel net.
As I was thinking, Evan's figure suddenly froze, making me hold my breath as well.
His gaze seemed to have locked onto a fish. His dark red eyes narrowed slightly in concentration, and the light in them instantly turned cold, like a tempered blade.
He raised the fishing net. His arms and chest showed full muscle contours, exuding a sense of wild power.
The sunlight shone on the steel net in his hand, reflecting a similarly chilling light.
I stared blankly, as if seeing a powerful and merciless beast aiming at its prey.
I rarely saw Evan wear such a cold expression. A thought inexplicably popped into my mind.
Perhaps Evan always treated his enemies this way: decisive and ruthless.
The next second, the fishing net shot towards the bottom of the water, as fast as a flash of lightning.
Water splashed everywhere, and a muffled sound echoed. I had no doubt that Evan had gotten what he wanted.
With a bip-la sound, the fishing net came out of the water. A very large fish was impaled on it, thrashing its tail continuously.
Evan's expression instantly softened as he turned to me.
Evan: Can you help me grab the bucket?
I came back to my senses and quickly brought the bucket to him.
You: One hit, one kill! Evan, you're amazing!
Evan: After all, a cold and hungry young lady is still waiting for me.
I awkwardly stuck out my tongue.
He removed the fish from the fishing net, placed it in the bucket, and then returned to the riverbank.
As the sound of the fishing net entering the water repeatedly echoed, his movements became increasingly skilled, with a sense of release in their force.
Before long, he caught two more fish, both large and plump. When he returned, his mood seemed to have brightened.
He squatted down, satisfied as he weighed his spoils.
Evan: This largest fish is almost two kilograms. It should be enough for us.
Next, he skillfully cleaned the fish by the river and placed them on the grill. I brushed the fish with the barbecue sauce I had brought.
The fire in the stove burned brightly, and fragrant smoke quickly filled the air. I rubbed my hands together, so eager I could barely sit still.
The fish was finally cooked. I couldn't wait to take a bite and leaned back in satisfaction.
You: So fresh! It's delicious! Evan, you should try some too.
Evan: Okay. Be careful not to burn yourself.
Evan said, and also took a piece of fish to eat. Under my gaze, he tasted it carefully and nodded in approval.
Evan: Hmm, your sauce is also very good.
You: It is, isn't it? This is my exclusive recipe.
You: The fish you caught, combined with the sauce I put on it, tastes better than any fish I've ever had in high-end restaurants.
Evan: As long as you wish, we can always recreate this taste.
I nodded, and our eyes met in an unintentional smile, as if we had made a small promise.
You: Evan, have you ever fished before? Your outdoor survival skills are practically maxed out!
Evan: I did spend some time in the wilderness, after all. But I hadn't used a fishing net back then. Today is my first time trying.
You: Then you must be a born hunter.
You: When I saw you fishing just now, I felt you had that kind of aura!
You: How do I put it... anything you set your sights on, you'll definitely get.
You: Unlike me... sigh...
Evan: Why the sudden sigh?
You: Hmm... I just feel a bit useless today.
You: I was the one who was craving fish first, but in the end, not only couldn't I catch any, I even made such a mess of myself.
You: The cat meme says it all, "small, pitiful, helpless, but can eat"!
Evan chuckled, shaking his head. His large hand covered my head.
Evan: I don't think that analogy is quite appropriate.
Evan: A kitten wouldn't deal with people I dislike. But that thrust of yours just now, you put your whole strength into it.
Evan: It made me feel like I met someone I can fully trust.
His voice suddenly softened, very lightly. It was so light it seemed utterly defenseless, yet also very heavy, as if all his heartfelt trust was placed within it.
It was like a drop of honey, slowly melting in my heart.
You: Of course... I'll always be your most reliable partner.
You: However, if I could truly help you, I'd be even happier.
Evan: You've already helped me.
Evan: Next time I face an opponent, just remembering your courageous appearance will inspire me.
I froze, and the only thing that came to my mind was the image of me falling into the river on my bottom. I quickly put down my chopsticks.
You: No! You should hurry and forget about that attempt!
I ate and laughed and joked with him. Unknowingly, the fish on the grill had been completely eaten.
I awkwardly put down my chopsticks, embarrassed to realize I wasn't full yet.
Seven-tenths full is also full... I silently agonized, unaware that Evan had once again taken in my every expression.
Evan: I'll catch a few more fish to grill.
You: Uh... this... it must be because fish meat isn't filling enough. It must be!
Evan: It's okay.
Evan: There's still plenty of charcoal, and it's still early before dark. And your skirt isn't dry yet anyway.
Evan: We have plenty of time to eat slowly here, until you're satisfied.
Evan: As for how many fish you ate in total, I'll definitely keep it a secret for you.
You: Huh?
You: Evan! I never realized before, you're so mischievous.
Evan: I'm serious.
Evan: Watching you eat makes me happy too.
Evan: I feel like there's nothing simpler than this kind of happiness.

Option 2: Walk a bit more before resting
You: I'm fine. Once I sit down, it'll be hard to get back up. How about we walk a bit more first?
Evan: Since we're out to have fun, there's no need to be so strict with yourself.
But perhaps he read the determination in my eyes, and he immediately added,
Evan: However, I'll listen to the captain.
You: Hehe, that's more like it.
We continued walking deeper into the forest. Lost in the variety of beautiful scenery, before we knew it, dusk had fallen.
Evan: Let's find a place to set up camp. This area looks very suitable.
You: Sounds good!
We chose an open, flat piece of ground. The next step was to pitch the tent.
I took the tent out of my backpack and spread it on the ground.
I needed to thread two support poles through the canvas and then insert one end of each pole into the small holes at the tent's corners.
But the tent was simply too big. I'd secure one corner, and the other would pop out.
I tried my best to spread my arms wide, but it was still difficult to hold both ends of the poles simultaneously. I was sweating profusely.
You: This is the first time I've ever wished my arms were longer...
Evan: I'll help you.
I turned around in surprise. Evan, who had gone to fetch water from the river, had already returned.
He set down the bucket and came behind me, spreading his arms to easily support the bent poles.
This position instantly brought us close together.
His arms were warm and firm, much longer than mine. When stretched horizontally, they could completely encompass me.
And our clothes were slightly damp against our skin. I could clearly feel the rise and fall of his chest against my back.
The surrounding temperature seemed to be quietly rising, and an inexplicable sense of panic washed over me.
Evan: Just need to secure the four corners, and it'll be done.
You: Okay...
I scrambled out of his embrace, inserting the support poles into the small holes.
With Evan's help, the tent was quickly pitched.
Later, we lit the kerosene lamp and set up the simple table and chairs... our little wilderness home was finally complete.
Perhaps everyone has a natural fascination with private spaces. Looking at that small dwelling, a feeling of happiness welled up inside me.
You: Evan, let's go inside and check it out!
I eagerly crawled in. After turning around, I realized Evan was still standing outside.
Oh no! How could I have been so engrossed in having fun by myself...? The goal today was to make Evan happy!
I thought about ways to get Evan active. Just then, an idea popped into my head.
You: Evan, since I'm the captain today, you have to listen to me, right?
Evan: Hmm, what do you want to do?
You: I want to play a game.
You: Tonight, I'll be your Doraemon. I'll make all your wishes come true.
Evan showed a slightly surprised expression.
Evan: Why do you want to play a game like that?
I pulled him over to a chair and sat opposite him.
You: You've always been my Doraemon. Today, I want to experience the joy of giving for once.
Evan: You can. But do you plan to do it right here?
You: Challenges just make things more interesting! Just tell me what you wish for.
He finally couldn't resist my urging. He crossed his arms and looked at me, lost in thought.
Evan: Alright, I'll just say one... I want this tent to be prettier.
You: Got it. Leave it to me!
This was probably the first time Evan had ever expressed such a wish to anyone.
And the person hearing it was none other than me... Thinking of this, my desire to fulfill his wish became even stronger.
I suddenly remembered that I happened to bring a small string of fairy lights today because I saw someone decorating tents with them online recently!
Suppressing my excitement, I found the fairy lights in my backpack, connected them to the battery, and flipped the switch, then suddenly held them out in front of Evan.
You: Ta-da—Look!
The night was deep. When I presented the string lights, their colorful glow instantly illuminated everything around us.
Evan's eyes widened in surprise. He gently took the string lights and examined them carefully.
Evan: You actually brought fairy lights? You really are a competent Doraemon.
The colorful lights reflected on our faces, making his smile even more dazzling.
Evan lowered his eyes, seemingly recalling something.
Evan: You know, this string of lights reminds me of holidays and festivals.
Evan: I'd walk down the street and see many homes with colorful lights hung in front of their doors.
Evan: It felt lively and warm... I really liked it.
Watching Evan carefully search for words, I felt a gentle tug at my heart.
Perhaps, this was what "home" looked like in Evan's heart...
Evan quickly came back to his senses, his gaze once again falling on the string lights in front of us.
Evan: The craftsmanship of these lights is very exquisite. Each bulb has a different shape.
You: Yes, it is! Look, this one looks like a small chili pepper, and this one looks like a small eggplant...
Evan: Right. And this one looks like you, little bunny.
You: Really! You're very observant.
You: But how come I'm the only animal? It sounds a bit lonely.
Evan: You won't be lonely. The one next to the little bunny, that's me.
Evan spread his arms, revealing the light bulb next to the little bunny. But all I saw was a red sphere.
You: What does this one look like? I can't tell.
Evan: It doesn't matter what it looks like. The one accompanying the little bunny will only ever be me.
His smile, illuminated by the lights, grew even gentler, but his tone carried a subtle, undeniable persistence.
I felt a touch of inexplicable panic, yet I didn't want to escape.
...
Finally, we hung the string lights on the tent.
The continuously flashing and changing lights adorned the tent, making it even more lively and charming. It truly felt like home.
Evan came into the tent and sat down, his eyes comfortably narrowed. Seeing him so relaxed, my heart was filled with joy.
You: Evan, it's time for your next wish.
Evan: Should we continue? I'm already very satisfied.
You: The game has just begun! Evan, you can be a little more willful, like a child.
I pulled Evan's arm, persistently trying to persuade him. It wasn't easy to get him to relax. Now that I finally saw hope, I couldn't let it all go to waste!
Evan: Hmm, then I'll make another one.
You: First, don't make it too simple! I'm Doraemon, you have to believe in me!
Evan: Alright then. I want hand-ground coffee.
He smiled calmly as he looked at me, seemingly waiting for me to admit defeat. But I smiled triumphantly.
You: You just wait and see!
Because Evan liked coffee, I specifically brought some coffee grounds and simple pour-over equipment.
I lit the stove, boiled some water, and let the thin stream of water swirl into the filter cup. A fragrant cup of pour-over coffee was quickly made.
I put the coffee and handed it to Evan. He lowered his head and sniffed it, a look of enjoyment on his face.
Evan: It's my favorite aroma.
Evan: But, it seems to be missing something.
Then, he also personally brewed a cup for me. We sat facing each other, sipping the coffee in our hands.
Even sitting on a folding chair, Evan's posture for drinking coffee was very elegant.
Everything in the forest was silent. Only the chirping of insects hidden in the leaves rose and fell, adding a touch of leisure and charm.
You: Evan, has it been a long time since we were able to escape the hustle and bustle like this, just quietly together, not thinking about anything?
You: You seem to have been very busy lately? Honestly, I'm a little worried if you have time to relax.
Evan: Thank you for your concern. Occasionally, yes.
He raised the coffee cup in his hand.
Evan: Every day during my lunch break, I just smell this aroma, watch movies, or read books.
You: Yes, I often do that too.
In just a flash, inspiration struck me.
You: Ah! I've thought of your next wish for you!
Evan: Oh? What is it?
I smiled mysteriously at him and turned to rummage through my backpack.
I happened to bring a book today, so I found it and handed it to Evan.
Evan's fingers traced the gilded text on the book's cover. After a moment, he suddenly handed the book back to me. I looked up slightly in surprise, meeting the smile in his eyes.
Evan: Since that's the case, then I'll trouble you to read a passage for me.
You: Okay.
I held the book and slowly read a passage related to the forest.
The scene seemed to awaken Evan's tiredness. He held his coffee, slowly leaned back into the soft pillow, and comfortably narrowed his eyes.
After reading a passage, I closed the book and found that he was also looking at me intently, firelight flickering in his deep red eyes.
Evan: You know, this happens to be a passage I really like.
Evan: The first time I read this book, I fantasized about being like this protagonist.
Evan: Riding a small boat, drifting down a quiet, deserted river.
Evan: Without any expectations or goals. Whether caught in rapids or spinning in place, it didn't matter where I drifted to.
You: That sounds very romantic. What happened then? Did you ever try it?
Evan: Not yet. I came to the forest many times later, but unfortunately, none of those trips were for leisure.
Evan: So, today is actually the first time.
Evan: Thank you for bringing me such an unforgettable night.
He seemed a little tired. His voice was low, like a murmur, and as he spoke, he slowly closed his hazy eyes.
His eyelashes rested on his eyelids, casting faint shadows. I quietly gazed at this beautiful scene, recalling his words, and a new plan formed in my mind.
Perhaps this wish, I could also fulfill for him.
-
The next morning at exactly 5 AM, my alarm woke me from my sleep.
I stretched widely and then looked at Evan. Fortunately, he hadn't been woken by the alarm. He was still curled up soundly asleep in his sleeping bag next to me.
I quickly washed up and quietly left the tent.
Actually, yesterday, on our way to find a camping spot, we had passed a commercial campsite that offered various camping equipment rental services.
Last night, when I heard Evan mention boating, I immediately thought of that place, so I contacted them and reserved an inflatable raft.
With the help of my phone's navigation, I walked for nearly half an hour through the forest and finally arrived at the campsite.
After waiting outside the gate for a while, the owner I had arranged to meet finally rushed out, looking flustered.
Campsite Owner: I'm sorry, I ran into some trouble and was late...
You: It's okay. But what happened? Do you need help?
Campsite Owner: Can you? Then I'll trouble you! It's like this...
...
After some time, I handed a trembling kitten to the owner.
The kitten immediately began rolling and cuddling in its owner's arms, rubbing incessantly against his palm with a pitiful whimper.
You: The little guy must have been terrified just now.
Campsite Owner: Yes, he was. Little girl, thank you so much for your help just now! Otherwise, I really wouldn't have known what to do.
You: You're welcome, it was a small matter.
When I arrived at the campsite just now, the one in trouble was this kitten, which the campsite owner raised. It had climbed to the top of a tree when no one was looking and was too scared to come down.
It was said to have been stuck in the tree for over ten hours, meowing helplessly. So, I didn't hesitate to join the rescue.
We didn't have a tall enough ladder and tried many methods before finally rescuing the kitten.
Campsite Owner: Oh right, I almost forgot your inflatable raft. This thing isn't light! Can a little girl like you carry it?
You: Huh?
I went forward and tried it. The folded raft was indeed heavier than I had imagined. But thinking of Evan's expression when he saw the raft, I felt that this weight was nothing.
Campsite Owner: Sigh, you helped me, so I should help you carry it back, but I have another guest appointment soon and really can't get away...
Campsite Owner: I'm waiving the rental fee this time! You two have fun!
You: It's okay, I'll just carry it back slowly. Thank you, boss!
After saying goodbye to the boss, I dragged the raft away from the campsite.
I hadn't gone far when I felt my arm aching a bit, so I had to put the item on the ground and sit on it to rest.
As I was lost in thought, a rustling sound came from deep within the forest.
I perked up my ears somewhat warily. The sound indicated the other party was quite large. Was it an animal? Or a person?
The rustling sound got closer and closer. Now I was almost certain it was human footsteps, and there seemed to be a hint of panic in their stride.
I felt a little nervous and couldn't help but stand up.
Just then, a familiar figure appeared at the end of the layered, deep forest.
You: ...Evan?!
Seeing me, he seemed to let out a long breath, then strode towards me.
Evan: I finally found you.
Evan: I woke up this morning and found you gone. I couldn't reach you by phone, and I was very worried.
At first glance, his demeanor was as calm and composed as ever, except that his breathing seemed a bit rapid.
This place wasn't close to our campsite. How long had he been searching in the forest? Thinking of this, I felt a little guilty.
I briefly told him about the unexpected situation at the campsite.
You: I left very early. I thought I could be back before you woke up, but I didn't realize so much time had passed...
You: Because I was busy all along, I didn't pay attention to my phone. I'm sorry for making you worry.
Evan: It's okay. Just next time, please don't quietly leave my side, alright?
I nodded, embarrassed, and lowered my eyes, but inadvertently glimpsed his shirt hem, where one button was misaligned.
I had never seen Evan's "unfussy" side before and almost couldn't hold back a laugh.
Evan: Hmm? What's wrong?
I shook my head, unbuttoned and rebuttoned the misplaced button for him. Only then did he notice his slight disarray, and he gave a self-deprecating chuckle.
Evan: ...Thank you.
I looked into his eyes, finally unable to resist asking the question in my heart.
You: This place isn't close to our campsite. How did you know I'd come here?
Evan: This morning, when I couldn't reach you, I searched the tent to see if you had left any notes or anything.
Evan: And then, that closed book gave me an idea. It made me think that our "Doraemon" game might not be over.
Evan: I remember when we passed by here yesterday, you seemed very interested, so I guessed you came here.
I didn't expect my every move to be noticed by him. I awkwardly glanced at the raft on the ground.
You: Oh no, it's all exposed...! I originally wanted to give you a surprise!
Evan: It's okay. It's still a surprise this way, isn't it? Thank you for putting so much thought into it.
Evan: Having someone fulfill your wish actually feels quite nice.
He gently took my hand. Every palm line flowed with an unusual warmth, enveloping me.
Evan: But I also want you to know that for me, just having you by my side is enough.
My thoughts were almost overwhelmed by the tenderness in his eyes. I finally managed to sort out my true feelings.
You: But I don't think that's enough.
You: You're always taking care of others and listening to their wishes, but you can't forget your own wishes either.
You: I really want to hear more of your wishes. With me, you can always be a little greedier, Evan...
He gazed at me unblinkingly, then suddenly moved closer, completely enveloping me in his shadow.
Evan: In that case, can I be greedy one more time?
You: Hmm?...
He didn't wait for my answer. He took a step forward and directly pulled me into his embrace.
His arms wrapped firmly around me. The scent of mugwort in his embrace was more lingering and overwhelming than ever before.
The unyielding, firm embrace made it impossible for me to escape. Yet, I felt inexplicably intoxicated and slowly closed my eyes.
-
Option 3: Don't rest yet
You: I think I'm fine. I won't rest just yet!
You: I want to go to the other side of the river.
You: They say the source of the small river is just ahead, a particularly beautiful small waterfall. I want to take pictures!
Evan: Okay. Some parts of this river are shallow. If you want to go faster, we can just wade across.
Next, we found some pebbles and laid them in the shallower areas. We waded across without much effort.
We walked forward for a while. The density of the surrounding forest grew thicker and thicker, almost to the point of blotting out the sun. Even the path formed by human footprints became fainter and fainter.
You: Evan, it's so remote here. We'll be fine, right?
Evan: Don't worry, I'm here.
Evan's resolute attitude made me feel much more at ease. I nodded and continued walking forward.
After another ten minutes or so, there was completely no path beneath our feet.
I stepped through roots and fallen leaves, sometimes stumbling. Fortunately, Evan was always there to steady me in time.
Finally, I stopped, filled with worry.
You: That's not right... I think I just saw this big banyan tree once before.
You: But the compass shows we haven't deviated from our direction...
You: Could it be that we've stepped into an illusion created by goblins and are just going in circles?
I had only meant it as a joke, but as soon as the words left my mouth, the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. A chill ran down my spine.
The quiet forest seemed to have changed. Tall trees surrounded us like monstrous beasts with bared fangs. I subconsciously moved closer to Evan.
Evan chuckled softly and gently put his arm around my shoulder. The pressure from his arm relaxed me a little.
Evan: Don't worry. Even if it's an illusion, I have a way to deal with it.
Evan: Unless it's another situation.
You: What situation?
Evan: Unless... I'm also part of the illusion, not the real Evan.
You: ??? You're not allowed to scare me!
Evan's expression was half-smile, half-not, made even more elusive by his glasses. I tried my best to resist the urge to back away and moved very close to him.
You: Y-you wouldn't be a fake Evan!
Evan: So certain? Want to check and see?
Evan smiled and bent down towards me until every inch of his composed face was clearly displayed before my eyes. I mustered my courage and reached out towards that face—
His Response 1
Evan: Is this... a sudden attack?
Evan: Am I really the true Evan...?
When my fingertips felt a soft touch, I snapped out of my daze—I actually took advantage of my fear to touch Evan's face...?
It was his unique cool temperature, and at this distance, I could smell the faint scent of mugwort. This was Evan, the Evan I knew.
For some reason, my fingertips lingered on his face, as if they had a mind of their own, until they were firmly grasped by Evan's hand.
Evan: Confirmed?
You: Mm...
Evan: I think if we turned back now, a certain young lady would still regret it later.
Evan: So, let's keep going forward.
Evan: I won't let go of your hand. Don't be afraid.
I nodded, holding Evan's hand tightly, my steps much firmer as we moved forward.
Gradually, the path beneath our feet became smoother. Walking further, I finally heard the rushing sound of water...
You: Evan, did you hear that!
Evan: I did.
The forest ended behind us, and the scene before our eyes suddenly opened up.
White water cascaded down from a high rock face, forming a bright small lake on the ground.
I couldn't suppress my excitement and ran to the lakeside. The wind, laden with refreshing water mist, blew towards us, dispelling the fatigue from my entire body.
You: It feels so good!
Evan stood not far behind me, raising his phone to take a few photos of me.
Evan: Look over there.
I followed the direction he pointed but didn't see anything.
You: What? Is there a rainbow? Why can't I see it?
Evan: Try standing over here with me.
So I walked in front of him and stood still. His hands rested on my shoulders, turning me to face the same direction as him.
Evan: Can you see it now?
You: I can see it!
You: It's true that you can only see it from this angle!
Evan: Then this rainbow is our little secret, just for us.
As soon as his words fell, another gust of water mist blew towards us. I felt a little cold and instinctively hugged myself.
The next moment, Evan gently put his arm around my shoulder from behind. The coldness was instantly driven away by the warmth, and it felt as if a seven-colored warm sun had shone into my heart.
His Response 2
Evan: Why are you encouraging me in return?
Evan: I'm sorry. I must have scared you.
Evan froze, then lightly tapped my forehead with his finger.
Evan: Are you genuinely scared? You're far more active than the forest spirits.
You: Hehe...
Evan: If you feel scared, just hold onto my clothes.
Evan: I'll make sure you're somewhere I can see you. Nothing will happen.
You: Okay.
After some playful banter, the fear and worry in my heart vanished. We resolutely ventured deeper into the forest.
Finally, we saw the waterfall.
After taking beautiful photos, we set up camp near the waterfall. We spent a peaceful night accompanied by the sound of flowing water.
-
Option 4: Ask for Evan's opinion
You: Evan, what are your thoughts?
Evan: I think we can choose a suitable place to set up camp early.
Evan: Because you seem to be really looking forward to camping.
You: You caught me. Then let's do as you say!
Evan had a lot of experience in choosing camping spots. Finally, we found a comfortable, flat grassy area, sheltered from the wind and sun, with a water source nearby.
After setting up the tent, dusk gradually fell. The temperature in the forest quietly dropped, and boundless darkness enveloped us. But with Evan by my side, I didn't feel scared.
We lit the stove and grilled some food. The flickering flames became the most dazzling presence in the forest, causing the surrounding light and shadows to constantly change, creating a unique romance.
For a time, the only sounds in my ears were the crackling of the bonfire and the chirping of insects, rising and falling. It was as if time itself had become viscous.
I unconsciously looked up. The stars in the night sky were like tiny crystals scattered on black velvet. Each one sparkled brilliantly, converging into a flowing band of light that stretched into the distance.
I was mesmerized and simply lay down on the grass.
Evan sat quietly beside me. After a while, I couldn't resist tugging on his sleeve.
You: Look, it's only after the lights go out that the stars' brightness stands out.
You: The scent of fresh grass is also wonderful. Evan, why don't you lie down and try it too?
He lowered his eyes and smiled as he looked at me. After a moment of hesitation,
Evan: Alright.
He moved closer and lay down beside me. So, another rhythm was added to my ears: his steady breathing.
Evan: It's very beautiful.
You: I feel like it's been a long time since I've seen a sky full of stars like this.
You: No wonder philosophers like to gaze at the stars and contemplate. I'm experiencing that feeling too.
You: Such an expansive scene makes you forget the trivialities of the present and extend your thoughts to the distant past, and the future.
Evan: So where are your thoughts flying to now?
You: Me? I'm thinking, this forest is so beautiful, maybe I should move here to live in the future, haha.
As soon as the words left my mouth, I immediately thought of something else that made me even more curious.
You: Oh, Evan, have you ever thought about where you'd like to live after all your goals are achieved?
I waited for a long time, but Evan's voice didn't come. Had he fallen asleep?
I decided to gently call his name—
1. [Record your audio] Fail to call him
I called his name several times, and Evan finally turned his head, looking a little confused...
Evan: Were you calling me? Sorry, I got distracted.
You: Oh, it's okay.
Evan smiled at me, then stopped speaking.
Some people are simply made up of mysteries. Perhaps he didn't want to answer that question right now.
2. [Record your audio] Call his name
Hearing my call, Evan suddenly snapped back to reality and gave me an apologetic smile.
Evan: Sorry, your question was a bit difficult. I got lost in thought.
You: Huh? Haven't you ever fantasized about something similar?
Evan: Perhaps it's because the current matters are too important, and I have to focus all my energy on them.
You: Hmm... I've experienced similar feelings to some extent.
You: When I was in school, I often found studying boring and very stressful.
You: However, when I was about to give up, I would fantasize about summer vacation, and then I'd find new motivation.
You: When you're feeling down or finding things difficult, just fantasize about the wonderful life after achieving your goals.
You: I wonder if this method will work for you?
Evan: After achieving my goals?
Evan: At that time, perhaps nothing else will matter anymore.
The last sentence was so low it sounded like a murmur. I wasn't even sure if I had heard it clearly.
I looked at Evan beside me, perplexed, but he didn't answer me, remaining silent as if he would merge with the earth.
I was feeling an inexplicable worry. Yet, he spoke again as if nothing were amiss.
Evan: Why don't you tell me first what your ideal life looks like? Perhaps you can inspire me.
You: Hmm... Sometimes I like a bustling city.
You: Other times, I think living in a quiet place with mountains and water would also be wonderful...
You: But there's no Wi-Fi here, and I can't eat my favorite ice cream... What to do? It's so hard to decide.
Evan: Perhaps what you like is change.
You: Hmm... But there are also things that won't change!
You: What won't change is that I don't want to be too far from everyone.
You: If interesting things and beautiful scenery have no one to share them with, it would surely lose a lot of its fun.
His low chuckle sounded in my ear, incredibly close.
Evan: I've already thought about where I want to live in the future.
You: Where?
Evan: Somewhere not far from you. Would you welcome me?
You: Of course I would! But if you say that, aren't you already by my side now?
Evan turned his head and looked at me earnestly, a faint light flickering in his eyes.
My arm moved, inadvertently touching his cool skin, but I didn't want to pull away. He flipped his hand over and clasped my fingers.
Evan: You're right.
Evan: My current life is already beautiful enough for me.
3. [Record your audio] Call him hubby, dear, baby, etc.
Evan looked at me with some surprise. I suddenly felt a pang of embarrassment at my own abruptness.
Unexpectedly, the next second, he rolled towards me, so close that I didn't even dare to turn my head.
Evan: Calling me that suddenly, are you implying something?
Evan: This area is so remote. If I wanted to do something, it would be effortless.
I was secretly startled. Today's Evan was a bit different from usual... His warm breath fell on my ear, stirring a continuous, faint tickle.
You: Hahahaha... You wouldn't.
Evan: Why are you so sure I wouldn't?
You: You're always very considerate of others and very polite. You're not... that kind of person.
Evan: What kind of person are you referring to as "that kind of person"?
Evan propped up his head with interest, looking down at me condescendingly. I was so embarrassed I couldn't utter a complete sentence, and the temperature of my cheeks rapidly soared.
You: It's just, it's just... Evan, stop teasing me...
Evan narrowed his eyes, then suddenly rolled his body over, propping himself directly above me!
Even though my rational mind knew what kind of person Evan was, my body instinctively felt danger.
His usually reassuring, broad figure, viewed from this angle, had a strong sense of oppression. I couldn't help but purse my lips, my heart pounding rapidly.
You: Evan, what are you doing...?
Evan: I'm contemplating your question.
Evan: You were just asking me where I'd like to live, right?
You: Then how does this... relate to my question?
Evan: I think your eyes might hold the answer I'm looking for.
You: You're just being illogical...
My voice grew smaller and smaller, as Evan seemed to be slowly lowering his body.
Watching those dark red eyes, filled with suppressed laughter, slowly grow larger in front of me, I panicked and tensed my body. My mind went blank...
In a moment of desperation, I snatched his glasses from his nose, rolled over, and hid them in my embrace.
You: If you keep bothering me, I won't give your glasses back!
Evan, without his glasses, paused in his actions in a daze, then smiled and moved his body away, lying back down on the grass.
Evan: Did I scare you? Sorry, I just wanted to tease you.
Evan: Thinking someone is too simple can sometimes lead to trouble.
I secretly breathed a sigh of relief and pouted stubbornly.
You: Alright, alright, I know you're not simple! Then I definitely can't give you your glasses back.
Evan: Then I'll just have to stay by your side at all times and let you lead the way for me. Do you think that's acceptable?
Evan: Hmm? Y/N?
With my back to him, I felt one of his hands gently placed on my shoulder. The warmth quickly transferred through my thin clothes, making me shiver slightly.
I could even clearly feel that he was watching me. The place favored by his gaze was burning hot. The grass beneath me was burning hot. The glasses in my hand were also burning hot.
I couldn't answer, and could only secretly hope he didn't hear my rapidly beating heart.
-
Option 5: Do none of the above
I intently studied the map, not hearing Evan's question.
Afterward, I suggested we follow the marked route on the map, going deeper into the forest.
However, the route on the map turned out to be quite unfriendly for a novice like me. By the time we finally reached our planned campsite, I was utterly exhausted.
As soon as Evan finished pitching the tent, I crawled inside and fell into a deep sleep.
-
The next morning, I woke up to the pleasant sound of birds.
Evan was already awake, dressed neatly, sitting on a folding chair at the entrance of the tent, drinking a cup of coffee.
Evan: Good morning. Did you rest well last night?
You: Very well! I slept as soon as I lay down after walking so much yesterday.
You: Oh right, returning the same way will also take a long time. Let's eat something, pack up our luggage, and set off early!
Evan put down his coffee, his expression slightly confused.
Evan: Are you forgetting something?
You: Huh?
Evan: I remember you said you wanted to see bamboo fungus, but we haven't seen any yet.
I froze for a moment and gave an embarrassed laugh.
That had just been an excuse to get Evan to come out. I had long since forgotten about it.
You: Hehe, actually, I'm not that insistent on seeing bamboo fungus.
You: I only said that before to find an excuse to ask you out to relax.
You: I heard you weren't doing so well a while ago, and I was a little worried about you.
He looked slightly startled, then lowered his gaze, a warm smile playing on his lips.
Evan: So it was because of me.
Evan: Thank you for your companionship. I am indeed very relaxed now.
You: Then you were... really okay before?
Evan: Hmm. It probably wasn't as serious as you imagine. I just recalled some old people and old events and felt a bit down.
Evan: I didn't expect to trouble anyone else.
You: How am I "anyone else"?
You: Worries shouldn't be kept to yourself to digest. Remember to share them with those close to you.
Evan: Okay, I'll remember that.
I still couldn't find out what his troubles were, but that was somewhat within my expectations.
The Evan in my memory was always so strong, as if bearing a mission unknown to me, walking a path unknown to me.
...
After breakfast, we packed our luggage, intending to leave the forest.
On the way, we chatted idly. As we passed a certain spot, Evan suddenly stopped.
I followed his gaze and saw a uniquely shaped umbrella-like creature growing in the shady part of the bushes.
Evan: Look, we still encountered it.
You: Wow, is that bamboo fungus?
We walked over together and squatted beside the small white plant.
It wore a small black cap, and its net-like white skirt of mycelium had grown quite long.
It was my first time seeing bamboo fungus growing in the soil, and I was so surprised I couldn't bear to blink. After observing for a while, I remembered to reach out a finger and carefully touched its "skirt."
You: It's damp and soft. So cute!
You: Evan, have you seen it before? You recognized it at first glance!
Evan: Yes, it was when I was a child, the first time I was driven into the forest.
Evan: I witnessed beasts hunting and escaped from the mouth of a snake. I felt the forest was full of dangers and just wanted to leave as quickly as possible.
Evan: When I was starving and exhausted, I saw a bamboo fungus.
Evan: At that time, I didn't know what it was, or if it was poisonous.
Evan: I thought to myself, in a self-deprecating way, that I might as well pick it and eat it, leaving it to fate.
You: Evan.....
Evan: Just as I was hesitating, guess what I saw?
Evan: I saw it growing its mycelial skirt. In a short while, its little skirt actually grew longer and longer.
Evan: I squatted beside it, mesmerized, and didn't even notice my legs had gone numb.
Evan pulled himself away from his memory and turned to look at me with a smile.
Evan: It was like a pure little girl, encouraging me with its cuteness and magical qualities.
Evan: It made me understand that even a dark and terrifying forest has its lively and interesting spots.
Evan: You just have to be alive to see them, don't you?
His expression was calm, yet I felt as if I was seeing the strong little boy through his placid gaze. My heart ached a little, and I gripped his hand.
You: Evan, it's all in the past. You're no longer that helpless little boy.
Evan: Hmm. I'm fine.
Evan: If I hadn't seen the bamboo fungus today, I might have forgotten about this.
Evan: It feels a bit incredible to recall it. In such dark memories, there were also beautiful moments.
A faint pang of sadness touched my heart. The comforting words reached my lips, but then felt powerless.
This person, as strong as a warrior, this person who had faced life-and-death choices from a very young age, might not be as complex as I thought.
There are all sorts of reasons to choose death, but the reason to choose life is simple, requiring just a little bit. Evan was the same.
You: I forgot who said it, but the meaning a person seeks throughout their life is just contained in such simple things.
You: Evan, maybe one day you'll feel that way too?
You: It's okay if you can't find it all at once. I'll search with you in the future, no matter how long it takes.
Evan looked at me deeply, then reached out and solemnly clasped my hand.
Evan: Okay, together.
-
PHONE CALL
Evan: I saw you went to the pharmacy earlier. Are you okay?
You: Oh, it's nothing serious.
You: Actually, after that trip to the forest, my calves felt a bit sore and swollen, so I went to buy some ointment.
Evan: Is it serious? If you're really uncomfortable, perhaps you should take some time off and rest?
You: It's not that serious. I'll just take a taxi home after work.
Evan: Some sections of the path were indeed uneven that day. Next time we go out, we can control the amount of exercise.
You: Stop making excuses for me! It's just my own poor physical condition...
You: I'll just exercise more in the future.
You: But the embarrassing thing is, this ointment has a rather strong smell...
You: It's a scent similar to musk. I actually don't think it's that bad, but some people don't seem to like it.
You: What about you? Do you dislike that smell?
Evan: No, I don't.
Evan: However, I think I know what type of medicine you're using.
Evan: I have some more suitable medicine here that doesn't have much of a smell.
Evan: If you need it, I can come find you after work and help you apply it.
Evan: Conveniently, I don't have anything planned tonight, and I can drive you home. What do you think?
You: Really? That's great!
You: Thank you. This time, it's your turn to be my Doraemon.
Evan: I always am.
Evan: I have a meeting in a bit. I'll hang up now. See you after work.
You: Mm, see you later!
-
TEXT MESSAGE
Evan: I've been meaning to ask you about this. What is a "CP" expo? You: Did I mention that in the pantry? Evan: Yes. Evan: From the volume, I could tell how enthusiastic a certain young lady is about it. You: I'm sorry. I shouldn't be loud in the workplace. Evan: At this decibel, it's still a long way from "being loud." Evan: So there's no need to be so hard on yourself. Evan: Is the "CP" expo you mentioned a type of art exhibition?
You: "CP" expo is short for "Comic Paradise" (fan convention/doujinshi expo). Official creators or readers who love the work create fan-made merchandise and sell them at booths. It's really interesting! Evan: It certainly sounds quite unique. Evan: I wonder if I'd have the honor of inviting you to attend it with me. You: Huh? You'd like this kind of exhibition too? Evan: It's novel, unique, and an exhibition you're interested in. Why wouldn't I like it? Evan: It's just that I haven't had much exposure to this area before, so I'll probably have to trouble you to give me more "science explanations." You: Every time I pass your office late at night, it's always brightly lit. You must be very busy, right? Will you have time? Evan (Voice MSG): I'll coordinate my work. No need to worry. Evan (Voice MSG): Besides, understanding the things you like is very important to me too.
-
TIMELINE POST
Evan: I took a test called "What's Your Profession in Another World?" My result was a Mage.
You: That actually makes a lot of sense! A wise and knowledgeable Archmage, teach me a magic spell for passing every exam!
Evan's Response: Is this for the company's internal professional knowledge test? Don't worry, you've been blessed.

Another thing about addicts is many of us dont just do and quit one drug one time. That's why I *AM* - *An Addict*. My body, my brain, are wired more towards addiction than others.
A lot of us do a lot of different addictive things for years and try to quit over and over.
I started drinking by my teens. The first time I remember really deciding I had to stop, I was 21. There were phases where it was all day every day, phases where it was moreso weekends or whatever. Depended on things like work.
I truly officially, I strongly believe permanently, quit about 6 years ago in my mid-30s. Before then my record was 2 years minus like Paddys Day and my birthday.
I started smoking weed when I was 16. Quickly became an all day every day thing most of the time minus moral responsibilities like during childcare workdays. I knew it was a big problem for me for years, kinda right away really, never made it more than 2 months for a drug test once until 2020. Been sober since then.
I smoked cigarettes from my teens through to 30 until I fucked my lungs so bad I couldnt even smoke.
I have been drinking tons of coffee since I was a teen and now at 40 just tackling that.
I also struggle with other stuff like too much screen time.
So when I was using, from my teens til like 30, i was doing all these things, and more. Like trying random pills or whatever.
I *am an addict*. It's part of who I am. Just like how Im diabetic or whatever. I am also someone who has defeated addiction many times and will keep fighting it and fucking winning against it until I die. I am proud to be sober.
Ive known lots of addicts and few people just do one thing and then quit. It takes a lotta tries, a lotta work, a lotta pain, luck, and HELP to quit for good.

Levi and his favorite places to have sex
Bedroom
Let's just start off with the most obvious one, Levi likes to have his privacy with you and what better way to relax after a stressful day than to have you all to himself the whole night. Your hands grip the sheets as he pushes hard into you, his hands hold onto your waist, his cock penetrating your walls. "Fuuuck.." He throws his head back, relishing the way your warm walls feel around his hard cock. Levi starts to thrusts into your pussy, his pace is slow at first unitl "Levi..harder please." You beg him to go harder, it's what you needed right now and who is he to deny his pretty girl what she wants?
His hands move down to grip your hips, his pace getting rougher and faster. "Yeah? Is this what you need?" You nod your head, your hands pull him down for a kiss as he fucks you. Your tongues dance with each other, you mess his hair up with your fingers. His cock reaches your sweet spot and you pull away from the kiss tilting your head to the side giving Levi the perfect angle to leave marks on your neck. His teeth sink into your skin, sucking on your delicate flesh as he pounds deep inside of you. Feeling your walls get tight around his cock, Levi kisses up to your ear. "Well how about that, should I feel you up with my cum or paint your pretty skin?" He whispers in your ear, nibbling on your earlobe. "Inside, please Levi. Need your cum.." You whine, your hands grabbing his shoulder as the bed moves from his ruthless thrusts. He growls and slows down when he feels you cumming around him, Levi cums inside of you, your legs shake. "Now..." He kisses your cheek. "Get on all fours."
His office
Of course, sometimes he is just too needy during the workday to wait until night, so he pulls you into his office and locks the door behind him. He is quick to push everything off his desk and set you on it, his fingers eagerly undoing your pants. Once he has slid your underwear off, he spreads your thighs and dives his head right in. "You smell so good, I am going to make you fucking scream." His tongue licks up and down your slit slowly, he hums against your wetness enjoying your taste. He starts to flick his tongue and sucks on your folds making you grip the edge of his desk as he eats your pussy. "So wet for me, just like always." He says, tongue working inside of you, his hands resting on your thighs, he squeezes the flesh gently here and there. Soon two of his fingers push into your wet cunt, sliding in and out of you as his mouth closes around your clit. Your thighs close against his head and Levi hums in approval, moving his head away from your pussy to look up at you. "Good girl, squeeze me with those thighs of yours." He spits on your pussy and dives right back in, his fingers move at a faster pace. There's a knock on the door but Levi ignores it, almost like he didn't even hear it as he is too busy trying to make you cum. He feels your hips jerk up. "Fucking ignore it, baby." You try your best not to moan but it's hard once he starts to move his mouth faster on you. Feeling your navel tighten, you tug on his raven hair, letting how know that you're close. Levi starts to pump his fingers faster, his tongue playing with your clit and that's all it takes. Your back arches as you cum with a scream of his name. "There you are, not fucking shy now are you?" He kisses your pussy before standing up, taking your body and bending you over his desk. "Now let's see just how much you can take." His cock enters you.
Tent
One of his favorites, it happens mostly when you're out on a mission, he makes sure that you sure that you share a tent with him. You have to be quiet not to wake up the others but Levi is mean, so he decides to overestimate you on his cock. His hand is placed over your mouth, your body covered with a blanket, his hips moving passionately against yours. "Shhh, you don't want to wake up other now do you?" Your pussy is dripping onto the sleeping bag below you, you have already cum so many times around him, you're not sure if you can take another. He drags his cock out of you fully, before slamming into you again. He does it a few times because he enjoys the way your eyes roll at the back of your head. "Mhh you like that don't you? Tell me what would the others think if they knew that you let your captain fuck you anywhere?" You moan into his hand as he starts to slam into you, making your whole body shake. Levi smirks slightly and lets your mouth go, he puts your legs won't his shoulder and kisses your claf before starting to fuck you hard again. You bite into your lip, a moan threatening to fall from your swollen lips. "Just a little longer, you can handle that, brat." He presses down onto your stomach and his cock hits your cervix a few times before you squirt all over him with a whine. "Good girl." Levi leans down and kisses your forehead. "Go to sleep now, I don't want to make you too sore for tomorrow's mission."
Carriage
---------------------------------------------------
Levi prefers to travel on his horse but sometimes authority is bigger than him so he agrees especially if you're going. You're on your knees as you bob your head up and down on his cock, trying your best not to gag on him. Levi holds your hair in his hands, watching your every move with intensity. "Just like that, fuck that mouth of yours was made for me wasn't it?" You nod, continuing to take his cock in your mouth. Your hands are resting on his thick thighs, tongue swirling around his head, eyes locking with his. His cock slides deeper into your mouth, hitting the back of your throat as you start to gag on him. "That's right, choke on it." You main, sending vibrations onto his cock and Levi groans taking your head into his hands and fucking up repeatedly into your mouth. Moaning, drool starts to drip at the side of your lips as his cock pushes into your mouth. He pulls your head back, his cock sliding out of your mouth. "Come here." He pulls you onto his lap and undoes your uniform. "Ride me." Levi kisses the side of your neck as you start to roll your hips on top of him, your eyes roll back when you feel his cock push into you. "Mhh...yes.." You moan, bouncing on his cock. "Fuck, you're so fucking naughty." He groans gripping your breasts with his hands, his hips start to fuck up into you, at his point, you aren't sure if the driver has noticed the activity that is going on inside of the carriage and you're too caught up in riding Levi to care. He takes your hips and starts to fuck you on his cock fast, you feel him twitch inside of you. "Inside me Levi..." You moan as he kisses you sloppily. "I wasn't planning on doing it anywhere else." His grunts get louder until he slams you down one last time, cumming deep inside of you.
Shower
Probably his favorite because he doesn't have to clean up the mess afterwards and he can take his time with you. His mouth kisses down your collarbone, he has you pressed against the shower wall as warm water runs over your bodies. Levi takes your nipple into his mouth and sucks on it, his hands explore every single inch of your body, he takes your ass into his hands, kissing up to your lips. Your legs wrap around his hips, you feel his cock rub against your pussy, waiting for him to enter you. Pulling away from the kiss, Levi starts to fuck you without warning making your head hit the shower wall and gasp in pleasure. "Fuck yeah..your pussy feels so good." He bites his lower lip, his eyes traveling all over body, admiring your every flaw. Your nails scratch down his back as his hips move more rapidly against you. "Shit, you're so tight. You feel so fucking good." Levi is almost whining at how wet you are for him, he can stay buried in you for ages and never get tired. "That's right, you love this don't you? You love me fucking you hard like this?" He grunts through his teeth, his pace only picking up, cock pounding deep inside of you. You press your forehead against his, your walls clamping down on his length. "Fuck fuck." Levi mutters kissing you quickly as he feels you cum around him, he pulls out, cumming all over your skin but it washes off immediately since the water is running. "Damn...I can't get enough of you. Turn around for me."

Nap Time
one shot | Criminal Minds Masterlist | Masterlists
Fandom: Criminal Minds
Pairing: BAU family x Reader
Genre: drabble/office fun
Words: 651
A/N- I legit hate the title for this but my brain is not working and I cannot think of anything else. Anyways enjoy!
It was already 7pm and you still had work to do, knowing exhaustion was already subduing your body you decided the best course of action would be to take a nap in your secret napping area. You were certain no one knew you’d often creep under your desk during long workdays and sneak in a little rest bite. You did a quick scan of the room to check if anyone could see you before ducking under your desk and draping a shawl over you.
Setting a timer for 30 minutes, you let sleep steadily wash over your body, curled up nice and secure in your napping nook. When your eyes fluttered open, it was not by your alarm going off, the absence of the sound was reassuring as you had yet to feel fully rejuvenated. Though your head perked up when there was a flash right before your eyes and you squinted at the assaulting bright light.
Laughing in front on you was Morgan holding up his phone, your chair was pushed to the side and realisation dawned on you that you had been discovered. The moment Morgan saw you becoming alert, he went into action mode and tried to run off. You grabbed his ankle trying to hoist yourself up and simultaneously stop him from running off with the embarrassing evidence he had just obtained. Hitting your head on the desk you still manged to trip Morgan, but he was quick on his feet to recover and threw his phone to Rossi unexpectedly.
When he looked at the phone and back to your disgruntled state a burst of laughter erupted from his lips. “Now that’s a keeper. Look you can see the pool of dribble!” He teased.
“Rossi delete that!” You called out, finally emerging fully from the once peaceful sanctuary of your desk. You power walked over to the older man trying to reach for the pesky device in his hand, but he didn’t give you the opportunity to grab the phone as he threw it to Emily. Who in turn bit her bottom lip trying not to laugh, her attempt was very unsuccessful.
With the phone seeming to continuously be out of reach you felt like you were prey in a den of lions, they had you playing a game of cat and mouse. You darted from agent to agent, losing more and more of your dignity as they all beheld the image of you sleeping peacefully.
“Reid come on!” you shouted as the phone was once again thrown, this time to JJ. Out of everyone in the team you believed JJ was the most sensible and considerate. So, what came next was a complete shock.
“I’m sorry.” She said with a tight-lipped smile looking sympathetically at you. Everyone’s phone in the office dinged and you threw her head back in frustration. Guess there was no more desk naps for you.
“I hate you guys.” you huffed, pulling out your own phone to look at the monstrous photo you’d yet to have the privilege of seeing.
Beyond pissed off you made your way to JJ and whispered in her ear, “I’m going to get you back for this later. Sleep with one eye open you beautiful monster.” A chill ran down the blonde’s spine and when she turned to look at you wide eyed you couldn’t help but cackle at the fear plastered on her face.
Yanking the phone from her hand, you walked over and shoved it into Morgan’s chest, “You’re going to pay for this baldy. Big time.”
Morgan burst out laughing and pulled you in, draping his arm around your shoulder, he ruffled your hair, “Whatever you say tiny.”
When you sat back at your desk Hotch appeared above you sporting his signature smirk, “Good nap?”
Your reply came in the form of a groan as you defeatedly smacked your head against the desk.

friends ✪ jake ‘hangman’ seresin
Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin x fem!reader
Summary: you’re just friends. but why does he keep sabotaging your dates with other guys?
Words: 3.5k
Warnings: a little bit of angst?, idiots in love, rooster meddling
A/N: heyooo, this is my first time posting a fic on this blog and for this fandom (and the first thing I’ve written in months) so please be kind! I hope you like it :)
The Hard Deck is your favorite place to hang out. You used to just go every so often, but ever since your unlikely friendship with Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin you’ve found yourself coming more and more.
Jake.
He’s your best friend. You met him during his first time at TopGun when he hit on you at the Hard Deck. You turned him down though. As much as you’ve grown to love his self assured and arrogant attitude, you were not a fan when you first met him.
And then somehow you became friends.
Now he’s back for some top secret mission and you can’t wait to see him again. You don’t get to hang out with him in person often because he’s stationed in Lemoore.
“There’s my best girl!” You know he’s smirking even before you turn around to look at him. You don’t even have time to jump down from the barstool before his arms wrap around you. Your legs are either side of his hips as he pulls you against his body. “I missed you.” A shiver runs down your spine, both from his words and your position, but you try not to show how much it’s affecting you. How much he’s affecting you.
Because you’re in love with him.
You don’t know how it happened but at some point you fell for him and his charme. But Jake doesn’t do feelings or serious relationships, he’s a love ‘em and leave ‘em kinda guy. You’ve known that from the start. Hell, that’s the reason you turned him down in the first place. But you’re glad you did, because you’re certain you wouldn’t be friends had you spend the night with him.
“I missed you, too.” You whisper against his neck. “When does your mission thing start?” You ask him after he pulled away, trying to ignore the feeling of his hands on your thighs.
“My mission thing?” He laughs and you roll your eyes.
“You know I have no idea how things work at your job.” You shove his shoulder. “So?”
“Training starts tomorrow.” He smiles. “But I’ll make sure to spend every free moment with you. It’s been so long since we lived in the same place.”
“Since the last time you were at Top Gun.” You smile at each other for a few moments, thinking back to the start of your friendship.
“C’mon, let me get you a drink.” He squeezes your thighs gently, then lets go.
God, you hadn’t been ready for the feelings that were crashing down on you now that he was here. It was easy to keep them in check when you were merely facetiming. But having him right in front of you? His scent invading your space while he looks at you like that? Torture.
***
The first few days having Jake around fly by. Everyday you can’t wait for your workday to be over so you can hang out with him. You asked him once if he’d rather hang out with his pilot friends, but Jake just scoffed and told you you’re much better company.
While having Jake around is fun and you love spending time with him, you notice that the more time you spend with him the more you fall for him. Yes, you’ve been in love with him for a while but you can deal with that when he’s not around. Spending all of your free time with him shows you what it would be like to be with him, granted you’re not doing any coupley things but just being with him is enough.
In order to not get too swept up in your feelings for Jake you decide to get back into online dating. It hasn’t been successful in the past and most of the guys you talked to turned out to be massive jerks, but you don’t really have another option… Or maybe you’ll go to the Hard Deck and try to talk to some guys. Hmm.
You check your watch, there's still a few hours left until Jake finishes his training for the day, so why not use that time?
***
When Jake enters the Hard Deck with the rest of his squad his eyes immediately find you sitting at the bar chatting to some guy. There’s a weird feeling in his chest and before he can think about it he’s stalking over to you, his hands casually in the pockets of his uniform even though he doesn’t really feel that casual. He watches as that guy tells you some story that must surely be boring as fuck, Jake assumes. He ignores the fact that you don’t look bored at all.
Jake puts on his signature smirk before he steps behind you, resting one hand on the bar next to you, his chest pressing against your back.
“Hi.” He whispers in your ear, almost making you jump. You didn’t even notice him walking up to you. Jake tries not to ponder that too much.
“What’s up, Hangman?” You tilt your head to look at him, and Jake's smirk turns into a proper smile.
“Just wanted to see what you’re up to.”
You watch as the corners of his eyes crinkle and the expression in his eyes tells you he’s up to something.
“I’m talking to Marc.” You motion to the guy in front of you who’s been watching the exchange with curiosity. “Marc, this is Jake, my best friend.”
Marc nods at Jake as a form of greeting but Jake ignores him, his eyes still fixed on you.
“So I was wondering if you have plans tomorrow. There’s this new Mexican place I wanted to take you to.”
Your eyes flit between Jake and Marc, you finally start to realize what Jake is doing. And you can already see Marc looking kind of annoyed. It’s not like you’re currently on a date with him. You just met him while keeping Penny company at the bar. Your plan of finding a distraction from Jake actually worked, well until Jake showed up.
Before you can give Jake an answer, which would have been something like: ‘Sure, but please leave now’ Marc gets up from his barstool.
“I’ll see you around.” He gives you a small smile before going back to his friends. You can just look after him with your jaw slightly hanging open.
“Well, he didn’t have much staying power.” Jake shrugs his shoulders and sits down where Marc just sat before leaning closer to you. “Do you think he’s also like that in bed? Good riddance then.” He winks and you have to roll your eyes.
***
You’re on a date with a guy you met on a dating app when you get a text from Jake. You usually wouldn’t be on your phone during a first date but when he goes to the restroom you use the time to check your phone.
H_ngm_n: pineapple
Your pulse increases immediately. Pineapple was your code word for emergencies. Your mind starts reeling with possible scenarios of what could have happened. The only thing that puts you at ease is the fact that he could text you himself. At least he’s not unconscious in the hospital. But what if something happened to one of the others? “Hey, you okay?” You feel your date’s hand on your shoulder, pulling you out of your increasingly terrible thoughts.
“I’m sorry, I have to go. It’s an emergency.” You pull a face at the sound of your words. It sounds like a lame excuse. “I promise I’m not just saying that.” You pull out your wallet and leave enough money on the table that it should cover for your meal and drinks. “I’ll text you, okay?”
You faintly hear his okay while you’re already on your way out the door.
When you pull into Jake’s driveway your palms are sweaty. You have no idea what you’re about to have to deal with now.
“Jake?”
“Living room!”
When you enter his living room you’re greeted with the sight of him on the sofa, in nothing but gray sweatpants. You gulp, it should be illegal to look like that.
It takes you a moment to notice the ice pack on his foot.
“What happened?” In your head you’re already thinking about a broken foot or a torn tendon.
“I stubbed my toe.”
You halt your movements and stare at him for several seconds just blinking. “You stubbed your toe?”
“Yeah.”
“You used pineapple because you stubbed your toe?”
He has the decency to blush at your accusing tone. “I didn’t wanna be alone,” he pouts, patting the spot next to him on the couch. “C’mere.”
“You’re a big baby, Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin.”
“But I’m your big baby.” He smirks and you roll your eyes, shoving him playfully.
“I was so worried! I thought someone was seriously hurt!” You pushed against his shoulder again.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart.” His gaze turns soft and he puts his arm around you, pulling you close and placing a kiss on your temple. “How was your date?”
You turn to look at him, “You knew about that, huh?”
“Phoenix told me.” He shrugs his shoulders.
“Well, it was okay until I got an emergency text from my best friend because he stubbed his toe.” You give him a look. You can see that he’s trying not to laugh. He’s enjoying this. “Don’t you dare abuse the power of the pineapple ever again!” You point your finger at him.
“I promise.”
***
This is gonna be the death of you.
Sitting next to Penny in a beach chair you can hope that you’re not actively salivating while staring at a bunch of half naked, thoroughly fit people playing dogfight football. When Penny invited you, you had no idea what was in store for you.
You knew what Jake looked like without a shirt, had seen him hundreds of times, but seeing him in action? That’s a different story.
Was it possible that his muscles had muscles? Because damn.
While you were shamelessly ogling Jake you didn’t notice Rooster coming up to you. During the past couple of weeks you got to know Jake's team a little bit, with them always hanging out at the Hard Deck, too, it was inevitable. And it was reassuring to know that the people Jake worked with were good people. At the end of the day his life could depend on them.
“Hi, there Y/N.” Rooster says, causing you to finally tear your eyes away from Jake.
“Hi, Rooster,” You look up at him with a smile. “What’s up?”
He looks back at his squad that was still playing for a moment, then turns back to you. “I was wondering if you’d like to go out some time.”
You almost choked on your own saliva. What?
He was good looking, no doubt, just as fit as Jake, but seeing him just didn’t evoke the same feelings as seeing Jake. And yes, you were trying to get over Jake but going out with one of his teammates? That doesn’t sound like a good idea.
“Rooster!” At the sound of Jake’s voice, Rooster has to bite back a laugh, before he puts on an innocent face. What’s going on?
“Got a problem, bagman?”
“Why don’t you back up a little?” Jake’s got his hands on his hips as he walks over, only stopping a few inches in front of Rooster. And now you’re getting angry. No, you don’t really wanna go out with Rooster, but it’s not Jake’s place to step in and get all overprotective of you.
“Why should I?” Rooster crosses his arms and raises an eyebrow.
While Jake opens and closes his mouth without saying anything you exchange a look with a very amused Penny before getting up from your beach chair.
“Okay, time to calm down, Jake.” You place your hands on his chest and gently push him a few steps back. His skin is warm under your palms, his muscles strong and you try not to let it get to your head. “I don’t need you to protect me, okay?”
Jake looks to the side almost sheepishly. “But Rooster-”
“You trust him with your life, don’t you?”
He moves his head from side to side as if he’s not sure. He told you about the tension between the two, but you know when it comes down to it he knows he can count on Rooster.
“Jake?”
“Yeah. Yeah, I do.” He looks back at you and if you didn’t know better you’d say he looks hurt at the prospect of you going out with Rooster. But that can’t be. He doesn’t have feelings like that for you.
“So what would be so bad about me going on a date with him?” You ask, your hands are starting to shake so you finally pull them off of Jake’s chest. Curling them into fists to try and stop the shaking you cross your arms in front of your chest.
Jake’s mouth turns into a straight line before he shakes his head “Nothing I guess.”
See, he doesn’t have any feelings for me.
“Okay.” You nod, and even though you were going to decline Rooster’s offer, you turn around to him and say, “I’d love to.”
***
Rooster picked you up in his Bronco and took you to a nice restaurant by the beach. You like spending time with him, but the feelings are just not there, and you know they won’t ever be there. Because he’s not Jake. Even without actively intervening your best friend finds a way to sabotage your date.
“I’m sorry Rooster, you’re a great guy but-”
“But you’ve got feelings for someone else.” He gives you a knowing smile.
“Is it that obvious?” You feel your cheeks heat up.
“Honestly? Yeah.” Rooster laughs. “There’s only one idiot who hasn’t noticed yet.” Another knowing smile.
You huff out a laugh. “Maybe he did and he doesn’t wanna bring it up to save me the embarrassment.” You stir your drink with the straw, watching the ice cubes bump against each other.
“Certainly not.” Rooster rests his forearms on the table and leans in closer to you. “He’s just being an idiot. I wouldn’t be surprised if he hasn’t even realized he feels the same.” At that your eyes shoot up to meet Roosters and you shake your head. “That’s not true.”
“Of course it is.” He insists. “Why do you think I asked you out?”
You tilt your head in confusion.
“I’m sorry, you’re beautiful and a charming person, but the reason I asked you out was to finally get Hangman to pull his head out of his ass and realize that he’s in love with you.”
You can only stare at him with your mouth agape.
Rooster raises his hands, “It’s the truth. I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t come to throw you over his shoulder yet.”
You’re surprised that Jake hasn’t tried to intervene yet either. But maybe he’s busy. Or he doesn’t care and the other times were just flukes. Maybe all of his sabotaging wasn’t really that but it was just coincidence. You try not to let Rooster’s words get to your head. There’s no way Jake feels the same about you.
Just then your phone vibrates in your pocket.
H_ngm_n: Can you come over? It’s important.
“That him?”
“Yeah.” You sigh. “At least he didn’t use pineapple this time.” Rooster looks at you confused and you wave your hand. “Doesn’t matter. He can wait.”
There’s a moment of silence, then Rooster says, “C’mon, go to him.”
“Are you sure?”
“Of course. We can continue this another time if you want. As friends.” He smiles warmly and you think that whoever ends up with Rooster is a lucky person.
“Thank you.” You grab your bag and are about to pull out your wallet but he waves you off.
“I’ve got it. Now go.”
“Thank you.” You say again, give him a kiss on the cheek and then you leave.
Twenty minutes later you’re at Jake’s front door. He said it’s important but you have a feeling it was just another ploy to get you away from your date. You let yourself in and immediately hear rustling in the kitchen.
When you turn the corner you see Jake rummaging through his cupboard. He’s wearing a white t-shirt and those damn gray sweatpants again.
“What’s so important?” You ask as you lean against the doorframe.
“Should we order chinese or pizza?” He asks and turns around to look at you.
“Are you serious?” You cross your arms, the anger starting to bubble up. You were giving him the benefit of the doubt but he’s being ridiculous. “That’s why you called me away from my date with Rooster?” No point telling him it wasn’t really a date and you decided to just be friends. “You couldn’t have just asked this in a text?”
“Uh…” Jake scratches the back of his neck. He seems surprised that you’re angry. And that makes you even angrier.
“Why, Jake? Why do you keep sabotaging every fucking date I go on? Or hell, even when I’m just talking to a guy?” “I guess I’m just trying to protect you. Those idiots aren’t good enough for you.” He shrugs his shoulders and it takes everything in you not to scream.
“Well, who is good enough for me then, huh? Because at this rate I’m thinking you’d rather have me end up alone. But newsflash, Hangman, I wanna find my person. I wanna settle down, get married, start a family. And you’re jeopardizing that!” You feel tears brim your eyes because you’re angry and frustrated and so in love with your best friend that it hurts. It hurts to tell him all this knowing it’ll never be with him.
“Y/N…” Jake looks at you for a few seconds, then steps forward, closing the distance between you. He places his hands either side of your face and then you feel his lips on yours. For a moment you’re paralyzed. Is this really happening right now?
Your insides are fluttering as you reciprocate the kiss, your hands moving to rest on his chest. He’s soft and gentle, nothing like you’d expected him to kiss.
When you pull away he rests his forehead against yours. He’s about to lean in again but you push him away a little so you can look at him.
“Jake.” You whisper. “What are you doing?”
“I’m kissing you.” The corner of his mouth kicks up into a small smile.
“Why?”
“Because I want to.”
“Why?”
You watch his cheeks turn a soft shade of pink as he smiles, “Because I’m in love with you.”
The world seems to stop turning.
“What?”
He lets out a sigh, “I’ve been an idiot. I sabotaged all your dates because I couldn’t stand the thought of you being with someone else. I thought it was just because I was afraid of losing my best friend.” He shrugs his shoulders. “But in reality it’s because I’m in love with you. All those things you want for your future? I want them, too. And I want them with you. I’m sorry it took me so long to realize.”
You can only stare at him. Surely, you’re dreaming. This can’t really be happening right now. You’re going to wake up any second and everything will be back to normal.
“Y/N? Say something.”
But you’re in a bit of a shock, unable to wrap your head around your best friend confessing his love to you, so you just keep staring at him. “Shit. You don’t actually feel the same? I ruined everything, didn’t I? I’m sorry I just thought… Rooster said- I shouldn’t have believed that asshole, I-”
Finally you snap out of it, you’ve never seen Jake like this. He’s always confident, self assured. But now he’s a rambling mess and it’s all because of you? Because he’s in love with you? You’re still not a hundred percent sure that this is real, but there’s only one way to go about this. While he’s still rambling you grab his face and pull him into another kiss. This time he’s the one frozen in shock for a few seconds, but then his arms wrap around your waist and pull you flush against him. You run your hands through his hair, trying to memorize the feeling of his lips on yours, the taste of him, the way his body feels against yours.
“I love you, too.” You finally whisper against his lips and feel him smile.
“Yeah?” He places another soft kiss on your lips. “Will you let me take you out on a date?”
“Will this date include any weird emergencies on your part?” You raise an eyebrow and Jake laughs.
“No. I promise. No emergencies. Just you and me.”
“I like the sound of that.”
