📜✨ The Cathedrals of Our Time
(Scroll for Artists, Watchers, and Future Historians)
When we study the ruins of old civilizations,
we always start with the politics.
Who ruled. Who revolted. Who wrote the laws.
But when we feel those civilizations—
we’re not reading constitutions.
We’re looking at temples. Cathedrals. Frescoes.
We’re tracing the curves of an arch built to mirror the sky,
or staring at stained glass lit up like scripture.
Because long before cinema—
Architecture was how we tried to make heaven visible.
It reflected the divine order.
The symmetry of stars.
The longing of the soul for something higher.
Now ask yourself:
What are we leaving behind?
What happens when this civilization becomes a history book?
What does it look like when we fall?
We’ll be remembered, sure—
for our politics, our pandemics, our presidents.
But what about our cathedrals?
What did we build that lasted?
My guess?
We left behind film.
Music.
Television.
Pop culture turned prophetic.
Not as distractions, but as structures of meaning.
The theater is our new nave.
The movie screen is stained glass.
The script is sacred geometry.
The close-up is a holy ache, frozen in digital light.
And that means the artist’s role…
isn’t small.
It’s civilizational.
You are not “just” making content.
You are composing the emotional architecture of the era.
