Question made Natsuki FREEZE UP quicker than water in ABSOLUTE ZERO temperatures. Body tensed and breath caught -- Mind pulled away from her writing. (A RARITY in and of itself.) “Th-Three wishes?” Pastel eyes were studying the other with scrunched eyebrows and bitten lips. “I...” She trailed off. Turning her gaze back to the little notepad she always kept on her. Ready for if INSPIRATION STRUCK. Grabbing at a pink gel pen and starting to write once more. It hadn’t taken long but her dainty little atrophic hand hid her musings from view. FOR HER EYES ONLY. And her eyes made the most of it. Simply STARING. Lost. TRANSFIXED. Upon three simple sentences.

I WISH I WASN’T SO SMALL... I WISH PAPA WAS TOO TIRED TO DO ANYTHING ALL THE TIME... I WISH I HAD MORE HONEY TO GIVE...

The breathing was the first to go.  Then the stillness. And before she knew it she was CRYING. Blubbering childishly complete with breaks in her tone, and wrists and clenched fists rubbing away the tears. Leaving eyes SWOLLEN & RAW. But the tears didn’t stop. Nor did the trembling. And her breaths were only getting WORSE. Was she having a panic attack? It felt like she was going to be SICK. She had to make it stop. She had to make it stop. SHE HAD TO MAKE IT-- Torn paper finally penetrated her ears. Breaking her free of the sound of her own breathing. And the SOBS that had left her throat burning and her tiny chest flushed red. But now her paper was torn up. Shredded into ribbons. Nothing but WASTE for the BASKET. And she disposed of them as such.
