Why has the CIA been Hiding the JFK Files for 62 Years?

Now that all of the principals who were alive when John Fitzgerald Kennedy was murdered in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963 are dead, there are only two reasons — neither mutually exclusive — to explain why the complete files have not been released — 1) The CIA is implicated in the assassination and/or 2) A country with influence in the United States is implicated.

While many have speculated that the CIA is hiding evidence that Cuba was involved, the CIA has no reason, in my judgment, to withhold evidence of Cuba’s guilt. I have shied away from pursuing the various JFK assassination theories, but I recently came across a video by Ryan Dawson that suggests a credible reason for keeping the files from the public — Israel is implicated.

What!!!??? That was my first reaction. But then I listened and examined the evidence proffered by Ryan. There is certainly some smoke that points to Israel and members of Jewish organized crime. Why would Israel be involved? Let me summarize Ryan’s argument — the Kennedy’s represented an existential threat to Israel:

1 Prior to the assassination, the Kennedys wanted Israel inspected for nuclear weapons. The CIA had collected evidence from Dimona indicating that the Uranium Israel was processing had been illegally removed from the US Nautilus project via NUMEC (i.e., Nuclear Materials and Equipment Corporation). 2 John and Robert Kennedy supported Palestinians right of Return. 3 President Kennedy directed Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, in October 1963, to require the Zionist Organization of America to to register as foreign agents. 4 JFK along with France’s Charles de Gaulle, who also survived an assassination attempt, supported Algeria independence. 5 Robert F Kennedy was prosecuting aggressively Italian and Jewish mobsters. Many of the Jewish mobsters played a direct role in providing Israel with weapons prior to and after Israel’s establishment as a country in 1948. Jack Ruby, aka Jacob Rubenstein, was involved with the Italian mafia.

This does not prove that Israel or some of its agents helped kill Kennedy, but there is circumstantial evidence warranting further investigation. This would not be the first time that Israel attacked the United States. Just ask the survivors of the USS Liberty. However, this provides one reasonable explanation for why the CIA wants to keep the files locked away.

Keeping the files secret no longer makes sense. President Trump is now on the record, vowing to release the files. Let’s see if he keeps his promise.

The Israeli Nuclear Arms Link to the JFK Assassination Now the Subject of Worldwide Discussion …

For ten years Israeli propagandists called Final Judgment author Michael Collins Piper a "liar" and an "anti-Semite" for charging that Israeli intelligence played a role in the JFK assassination conspiracy because of JFK's bitter secret conflict with Israeli Prime Minister David BenGurion over Israel's efforts to build nuclear weapons of mass destruction. Certain self-styled “JFK assassination researchers" scoffed at Piper and refused to address the thesis of his book.

However, on July 25, 2004, many of Piper's critics were red-faced and silent when Israel's respected Jerusalem Post carried a story headlined: "Vanunu: Israel behind JFK Assassination." The newspaper reported that famed Jewish-born nuclear physicist, Dr. Mordechai Vanunu, recently released after spending 18 years in prison for exposing Israel's covert atomic weapons program—had charged that supporters of Israel's drive for nuclear weapons were involved in the JFK assassination precisely because of JFK's interference with their ambitions.

The Israeli government dismissed Vanunu's allegations, but what he said received attention in newspapers worldwide, with the notable exception of the United States where one and only one newspaper, mentioned Vanunu's charges and that was American Free Press, the Washington-based weekly that published Final Judgment. However, as widely read Internet writer, Rev. Mark Dankof, put it quite correctly: "The Vanunu-Piper allegations about Israel will not go away."

New Evidence Ties Israel's Nuclear Weapons Program to The New Orleans Connection in the JFK Conspiracy …

As the second printing of the sixth edition of this book went to press, a source with intimate, high-level knowledge about the NUMEC nuclear plant in Pennsylvania that smuggled nuclear materiel to Israel (see Chapter 8) provided documentation to Michael Collins Piper that the family of Edith Rosenwald Stern, a prominent New Orleans Jewish leader, were key financiers behind NUMEC. Mrs. Stern was the closest friend of Clay Shaw, the longtime CIA asset charged by New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison in the JFK conspiracy. Final Judgment had already documented Shaw's ties to Israeli intelligence, so the NUMEC-Stern connection is all the more damning and, with other data, explains why Garrison ultimately concluded there was an Israeli connection behind the conspiracy. And note this: Another NUMEC investor was Pittsburgh's CIA-connected "right wing" billionaire Richard Scaife, whose protégé, Joe Farah, a vocal supporter of Israel, promoted a JFK conspiracy book evidently designed to distract attention from Final Judgment. No more need be said.

Entre 1980 y 1985 se perdieron 810 detonadores krytron empleados en las lentes de explosivo convencional de las bombas atómicas de plutonio mientras eran transportadas por el interior de Estados Unidos. Aunque se alegaron causas desconocidas, se sospechó que fueron a parar presuntamente a Israel.

El 22 de septiembre de 1979, el satélite americano VELA detectó un gran destello al sur del Cabo de Buena Esperanza. Al compararlo con los obtenidos en las pruebas nucleares, se consideró que había una determinada probabilidad de que fuese una explosión nuclear. Se sospechó que pudiera ser una prueba nuclear conjunta entre Israel y la Unión Sudafricana. El presidente norteamericano Jimmy Carter, que no quería problemas con los judíos, ordenó la creación de la consabida comisión de investigación. Ésta fue presidida por el profesor Jack Ruina del departamento de Ingeniería Eléctrica del Instituto Tecnológico de Massachussetts (MIT), que concluyó, tras largas deliberaciones, que el destello era debido a un «extraño efecto natural».

En 1986 el técnico judío Mordecai Vanunu, que trabajaba en Dimona, huyó a Londres y allí reveló al periódico Sunday Times el objetivo de las instalaciones, aportando numerosas fotografías. El Mossad envió a una atractiva agente, llamada Cindy en clave, para seducir a Vanunu. Cindy cumplió con su misión y consiguió que Mordecai Vanunu fuera con ella a Roma, donde fue detenido en una operación secreta y trasladado a Israel. Allí fue juzgado y condenado a 18 años de cárcel.

McMunn v. Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, 2017 U.S. App. LEXIS 16103 (3rd Cir. August 23, 2017) Smith, C.J., joined by Restrepo, C.J., who also joins in the concurrence.  Plaintiffs assert that they developed cancer after being exposed to excessive radiation emissions from the Nuclear Material and Equipment Company (“NUMEC”) facility in Apollo, Pennsylvania (the “Apollo facility”).

Accordingly, we will affirm the judgment of the Distrrict Court.

Plaintiffs are more than seventy individuals in a group of consolidated cases who claim that excessive radiation emitted by Defendants—more specifically, radiation from uranium effluent from the Apollo facility—caused them to develop various cancers.

In addition to the evidence about emissions from the stacks or vents, Plaintiffs’ evidence of excessive emissions fits into one or more of the following three categories: (1) evidence that the monitoring of emissions was not completely comprehensive; (2) data that there was excessive radiation in the area surrounding the facility; and (3) data showing excessive radiation being released but seemingly only for specific, and short, periods of time (such as when the facility’s incinerator was being used).

We will affirm the judgment of the District Court because Plaintiffs failed to raise an issue of fact that would allow a reasonable jury to find that Defendants breached their duty and because Melius’s conclusory expert report would not allow a reasonable jury to find that Defendants’ radiation was a substantial factor in causing Plaintiffs’ cancers.

Because the license requirement was only an administrative safe harbor for NUMEC’s compliance with the emissions maximum set at the boundary of the restricted area, it does not create a tort duty here.

It is true that demanding more than evidence of “any exposure” makes it more burdensome for most plaintiffs to recover for injuries from radiation. But the evidentiary regime that must apply in these cases necessarily requires that a jury find radiation was a substantial factor in causing a plaintiff’s injury—and requires, now, at summary judgment, that we be able to hold that a reasonable jury could so find. See Gregg, 943 A.2d at 225–26 (“We appreciate the difficulties facing plaintiffs in this and similar settings, where they have unquestionably suffered harm on account of a disease having a long latency period and must bear a burden of proving specific causation under prevailing Pennsylvania law which may be insurmountable.”); see also Fed. R. Civ. P. 56(a). We can demand no less.

Defendants are entitled to judgment as a matter of law because Plaintiffs failed to show a genuine issue of material fact with regard to duty, breach, and causation.  Therefore, we will affirm the judgment of the District Court.
