Diaspora Wars: A Garveyite Perspective on Why They Are Harmful, Counterproductive, and Unintelligent
From a Garveyite perspective, the so-called "Diaspora Wars"—the conflicts and divisions between Black people from different regions, including Africans, African Americans, Caribbeans, and Afro-Latinos—are one of the greatest obstacles to Black liberation. These internal conflicts are harmful, counterproductive, and completely unintelligent because they weaken Pan-African unity, make Black people easier to exploit, and distract from real issues like economic independence, nation-building, and global Black empowerment.
Marcus Garvey’s vision of Pan-Africanism was based on the idea that all Black people—regardless of where they were born—belong to one global African family and must work together to build a united Black world. Divisions based on nationality, culture, or colonial differences only serve white supremacy and prevent Black people from achieving true power.
This analysis will explore:
The origins of diaspora wars and why they were created to divide Black people.
Why diaspora conflicts benefit white supremacy and prevent Black progress.
The historical unity of Africans, African Americans, Caribbeans, and Afro-Latinos in resistance movements.
Why diaspora wars are based on misinformation and colonial brainwashing.
How Garveyism provides the only real solution to ending these divisions and building Black unity.
1. The Origins of Diaspora Wars: Divide and Conquer
A. Colonialism and Slavery Separated Black People on Purpose
The African diaspora exists because of slavery, colonialism, and forced migration, yet instead of seeing a shared struggle, many Black people have been programmed to see differences rather than commonality.
European colonizers and enslavers deliberately divided Black people by language, nationality, and region to prevent unity and resistance.
Black people were indoctrinated to believe that their struggles were unique and separate, rather than part of the same global fight against oppression.
Example: After slavery, Black Caribbeans were told that they were superior to African Americans because they were educated under the British system, while African Americans were told that Caribbean immigrants were outsiders taking their jobs. Meanwhile, both groups suffered under racist laws and economic oppression.
Key Takeaway: The division between Black people was never natural—it was created by white colonial powers to keep Black people weak and disorganized.
B. Nationalism Without Pan-Africanism Leads to Division
Many Black people today hold strong national identities (Nigerian, Jamaican, Haitian, African American, etc.), but these identities are often based on colonial borders that were drawn by white European powers.
Some Black people take pride in their specific nationality but reject Pan-African unity, which weakens the global Black struggle.
White-dominated countries encourage immigrants from different Black regions to assimilate into Western nationalism, causing them to see their fellow Black people as “foreigners” rather than family.
Example: Many Black people in the U.S. identify as American first, rejecting their African or Caribbean roots, even though America was built on the enslavement and exploitation of their ancestors.
Key Takeaway: Colonial borders and national pride should never come before Pan-African unity and global Black power.
2. Why Diaspora Wars Benefit White Supremacy and Prevent Black Progress
A. Black People Fighting Each Other Keeps Them Distracted from the Real Enemy
Instead of focusing on white supremacy, economic inequality, and global anti-Black racism, many Black people waste time attacking each other over accents, food, culture, and nationality.
While Black people argue over who has the “better” culture, white elites continue to control the global economy, media, and political systems.
A divided race can not fight for reparations, sovereignty, or economic independence, which is exactly what white supremacy wants.
Example: Instead of organizing for global Black wealth and political power, Black people spend time arguing about who suffered more—Africans under colonial rule or African Americans under Jim Crow. Meanwhile, both groups are still economically oppressed today.
Key Takeaway: While Black people fight over differences, white supremacy continues to win.
B. White Media Fuels Diaspora Wars to Keep Black People Divided
Hollywood, social media, and mainstream news intentionally amplify stereotypes and conflicts between Black people from different regions to promote division.
Films and TV shows often misrepresent African, Caribbean, and African American cultures, creating hostility instead of understanding.
Many social media influencers and celebrities promote division for attention and clout, rather than encouraging unity.
Example: When an African or Caribbean immigrant becomes successful in America, the media often promotes the narrative that African Americans are “lazy”, even though systemic racism affects all Black people. This fuels resentment and deepens division.
Key Takeaway: The system profits from Black division and will always promote stereotypes that make Black people hate each other.
3. The Historical Unity of Africans, African Americans, Caribbeans, and Afro-Latinos in Resistance Movements
While diaspora wars exist today, history proves that Africans, African Americans, Caribbeans, and Afro-Latinos have always worked together to fight oppression.
A. Pan-African Unity in Liberation Struggles
Haitian Revolution (1791-1804): Enslaved Africans from different tribes and regions united to defeat the French and establish the first Black republic.
Marcus Garvey’s UNIA (1914-1940s): Garvey built a movement that united Black people from Africa, the Caribbean, and America under one vision of Black sovereignty.
Anti-Colonial Movements (1950s - 1970s): Black leaders like Kwame Nkrumah (Ghana) and Jomo Kenyatta (Kenya) worked with African Americans to support liberation movements.
Example: Malcolm X travelled to Africa and the Caribbean to build alliances, proving that Black liberation is a global struggle, not just a national one.
Key Takeaway: When Black people unite, they win. When they divide, they lose.
4. Why Diaspora Wars Are Based on Misinformation and Colonial Brainwashing
Many of the stereotypes and insults used in diaspora wars come from colonial lies.
A. Stereotypes About African Americans, Africans, and Caribbeans Are False
“African Americans are lazy.” → FALSE. African Americans built America through slavery and fought for civil rights against extreme white violence.
“Africans sold other Africans into slavery, so they are responsible for the slave trade.” → FALSE. The transatlantic slave trade was organized, financed, and expanded by Europeans. African leaders who resisted were killed or overthrown.
“Caribbeans and Africans don’t care about racism in America.” → FALSE. Black Caribbeans and Africans have fought for Black rights in the U.S. for generations (e.g., Stokely Carmichael, Shirley Chisholm).
Example: The entire concept of “ADOS” (American Descendants of Slavery) and other groups with a similar ideology are created to divide Black people, making them reject Pan-African unity and reparations for all Black people.
Key Takeaway: The enemy is not other Black people—the enemy is white supremacy, colonialism, and economic control.
5. How Garveyism Provides the Only Real Solution to Ending Diaspora Wars and Building Black Unity
Marcus Garvey’s message was simple: Black people, no matter where they are from, must unite as one global nation.
A. Black People Must Prioritize Race Over Nationality
Being African, Caribbean, or African American should never come before being Black first.
The only way to defeat white supremacy is through global Black unity and power.
B. Focus on Black Economics, Not Petty Arguments
Instead of fighting online, Black people should focus on building Black businesses, investing in Africa, and developing Black-led economies.
Final Takeaway: Diaspora wars are a waste of time—true power comes from global Black unity.
Conclusion: Black People Must Unite or Stay Divided and Weak
Garvey said it best:
“Africa for the Africans, those at home and those abroad.”
It’s time to end the foolishness.

Give me muggleborn students trolling eachother via howlers and voice changers but they accidentally use muggle jokes that the pureblood kids don’t understand (think Nigerian Prince scams) so it spirals out of control.
“I didn’t know your family had ties to nobility? Why didn’t you mention it?”
“Pardon?”
“You’re familiar with African nobility? Enough that they send you howlers? And you didn’t care to mention that?”
“Oh… oh yeah that’s… my bad?”
Queue every muggle raised child realizing this opportunity and making eyes that scream “do NOT fuck this up for all of us” at each other before the gossip network does its work.
Anyways I just wanna see Goncharov level of unity because they absolutely would stick to the bit if someone fell for it.
Professor Snape would die over this silently, while all the pureblood teachers are like “???? Are you well, Severus?”

Chapter 1: ‘Dance to the unified sound’
Our acknowledgment and positive response to echoes of cries for a nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.
Ekan
#endSARS was a decentralised social movement petitioning for freedom from police brutality. The series of mass protests called for the disbanding of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS); a unit of the Nigerian Police with a long record of abuse on Nigerian citizens.
Originating in Benin City, coral beads (ekan) represent power & freedom of expression in Edo culture. ‘Ekan’ is a tribute to the 12 protesters who lost their lives on 20/10/2020 using their voice to defend liberty, peace and justice.
Coral beads also represent hierarchy and dominance, the use of broken corals depicts the dismantling of hierarchical abuse of power.

The British Poem
Take some Picts, Celts and Silures And let them settle, Then overrun them with Roman conquerors. Remove the Romans after approximately 400 years Add lots of Norman French to some Angles, Saxons, Jutes and Vikings, then stir vigorously. Mix some hot Chileans, cool Jamaicans, Dominicans, Trinidadians and Bajans with some Ethiopians, Chinese, Vietnamese and Sudanese. Then take a blend of Somalians, Sri Lankans, Nigerians And Pakistanis, Combine with some Guyanese And turn up the heat. Sprinkle some fresh Indians, Malaysians, Bosnians, Iraqis and Bangladeshis together with some Afghans, Spanish, Turkish, Kurdish, Japanese And Palestinians Then add to the melting pot. Leave the ingredients to simmer. As they mix and blend allow their languages to flourish Binding them together with English. Allow time to be cool. Add some unity, understanding, and respect for the future, Serve with justice And enjoy. Note: All the ingredients are equally important. Treating one ingredient better than another will leave a bitter unpleasant taste. Warning: An unequal spread of justice will damage the people and cause pain. Give justice and equality to all.

An outstanding leader of the world revolution -special article by Dr Dermot Hudson
From Korea rises a great red sun,
The great red sun is Kim Il Sung
Its rays spread on all oppressed peoples,
Keeping them alive are Kim Il Sung's thoughts
The big red sun is not for Korea alone
Neither are its rays for Koreans alone,
It is a red beacon for the oppressed
In Africa , Latin America and Asia
The sparks that kindled the Korean revolution,
Now set the oppressed areas ablaze ,
Now it fills the oppressed world,
His thoughts radiate through
(By a Nigerian political activist -quoted in Volume Three of KIM IL SUNG Biography p 616).
When I first got interested in the DPRK and Juche in the mid 1980s I read ‘Korean Review ‘(1974 ) which referred to President KIM IL SUNG as ‘one of the outstanding leaders of the international communist and working class movement ‘. I also read the works of President KIM IL SUNG . Later , I got a day pass for the library of the University of Southampton which was not too far from where I lived . I read the wonderful Baik Bong biography of President KIM IL SUNG which was in the library. This is a truly amazing and inspirational book , full of rich material . Chapter Six is titled ‘ Outstanding Leader of the World Revolution ‘ . As we approach the 110th anniversary of the birth of President KIM IL SUNG , let us recall his great achievements as a world revolutionary leader .This is something overlooked by leftists in imperialist countries .
The great leader President KIM IL SUNG always paid attention to the question of the world revolution from an early age . When he founded the Down-With Imperialism Union on the 17th of October 1926 President KIM IL SUNG clearly defined as one of its tasks that it should carry out the world revolution and build socialism and communism throughout the world . Speaking to the foundation meeting of the Down -With- Union he pointed out that .
"Irreconcilable contradictions exist between the imperialists and people in the colonies and these contradictions are sharpening with the passage of time. Because these contradictions are antagonistic they cannot be settled by any kind of 'compromise ' and will only be solved when imperialism is overthrown"
This not only trenchantly exposed the contradictions of imperialism but showed the correct road of struggle for the people of colonial and dependent countries.
President KIM IL SUNG formed the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerrilla Army in 1932 (renamed Korean People’s Revolutionary Army in 1934 ) that fought arms in hand for independence against Japanese imperialism. However , it did not fight just for the independence of Korea but it was a proletarian internationalist army which contributed to the world revolution . It fought in defence of the Soviet Union , the first workers and peasants state , in the battles of Lake Khasan in 1938 and Khalkhin-Gol in 1939 . It also defended the Mongolian People’s Republic. Later after liberation in August 1945 President KIM IL SUNG sent the best fighters and cadres of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army to help the Chinese Communist Party and People's Liberation Army(PLA) liberate China from the bureaucratic and reactionary rule of the KMT.At the same time he allowed the PLA to use People’s Korea as a rear base . It is said that one of the five stars in the flag of the People’s Republic of China
Whilst leading the work of building socialism in the DPRK President KIM IL SUNG paid great attention to the world revolution . The international communist movement and socialist camp experienced severe trials and difficulties owing to the emergence of modern revisionism from the late 1950s onward, comrade KIM IL SUNG opposed both modern revisionism and Left opportunism and argued for unity.
In works such as "Let Us Intensify the anti-US, anti -imperialist struggle" , "The Great Anti-Imperialist Revolutionary Cause of the Asian , African and Latin American peoples is invincible " and many other works. He put forward the line of struggle against US imperialism and turning the spearhead against US imperialism .He argued strongly against the line of compromise with US imperialism which was being peddled enthusiastically by the modern revisionists who tried to impose it on the international communist movement . He pointed out that " It is wrong to try to avoid the struggle against imperialism under the pretext that independence and revolution are important, but that peace is still more precious. Is it not true that the line of seeking unprincipled compromise with imperialism only tends to encourage its aggressive actions and increase the danger of war? Peace secured by slavish submission is not peace. Genuine peace cannot be achieved unless a struggle is waged against those who break the peace, unless the slave’s peace is rejected and the oppressors’ rule overthrown. We are opposed to the line of compromise with imperialism. At the same time, we cannot tolerate the practice of only denouncing imperialism but, in actual fact, being afraid to fight it. This is a line of compromise in an inverted form. Both have nothing to do with a genuine anti-imperialist struggle and only help the imperialist policy of aggression and war "
Furthermore he put forward an excellent strategy for world revolution saying that "
"We small nations must unite and counter US imperialism’s strategy of swallowing us up one by one, by each one of us chopping off its head and limbs. This is the strategy small countries must employ to defeat US imperialism."
the 1960s and 1970s President KIM IL SUNG ensured that the DPRK punched well above its weight , giving support to many liberation movements and newly independent states .During the Caribbean Crisis of 1962 the DPRK stood by Cuba where the revisionists and big power chauvinists abandoned it. DPRK diplomats and students in Cuba armed themselves ready to fight side by side with the Cuban people. President KIM IL SUNG called for international volunteers to be sent to Vietnam and sent the best pilot of the air force of the Korean People's Army to Vietnam as well as tunnelling experts plus material assistance as well. During the 1973 October War between the United Arab Republic and the Israeli Zionists , a squadron of KPA pilots was sent to assist the Arab people in their fight against Zionist aggression.President KIM IL SUNG also supported the Grenadian revolution . He had DPRK construction experts sent to Grenada and the DPRK gave a generous amount of military aid to the People's Revolutionary Government of Grenada , in fact in per capita terms the DPRK gave more aid to Grenada than the USSR did.
President KIM IL SUNG was a great friend of the third world who sent agricultural technicians and engineers to many third world countries such as Madagascar , Tanzania , Togo, Central Africa, Benin ,Guinea, Egypt , Rwanda , Burkina Faso, Ghana and the Seychelles . Agricultural institutes bearing the name of KIM IL SUNG were established in Guinea and Tanzania . This was genuine aid as opposed to the fake aid of the imperialists which aims only to corrupt and enslave newly independent countries.
When socialism was frustrated in the former USSR and other European socialist countries owing to modern revisionism , President KIM IL SUNG held high the red banner of socialism , he made sure that People’s Korea continued along the socialist road and rallied the world revolutionary forces to defend and advance socialism by the adoption of the Pyongyang Declaration .
To conclude, President KIM IL SUNG was a great leader of the world revolution .

The cost of an Igbo chieftaincy title varies widely, depending on the specific title, community, and the level of formality involved in the ceremony. It's not a fixed price, but rather a reflection of the community's perception of the individual's worth and contributions, plus the expenses associated with the investiture.
Factors Influencing the Cost:
Title Level:More prominent titles like Nze, Ozo, or Eze will naturally have higher associated costs than less prominent titles.
Community Traditions:Different Igbo communities have their own customs and protocols regarding chieftaincy titles, which will affect the expenses.
Investiture Ceremony:The scale and complexity of the investiture ceremony, including the number of guests, feasts, and traditional rituals, will significantly impact the overall cost.
Gifts and Contributions:It's customary to offer gifts and make contributions to the community as part of the process, and the value of these gifts can vary.
Individual Reputation:A person's reputation for honesty, integrity, and community service can influence how the community values the title and the associated costs.
General Cost Expectations:
Less Prominent Titles: May range from a few hundred thousand to a few million Nigerian Naira (N).
More Prominent Titles (Nze, Ozo, Eze): Could potentially range from a few million to tens of millions of Naira.
Example:
A Nigerian Instagram post shows an Igbo chieftaincy cap (Okpu Ozo) priced at 40,000 Naira.
A separate Instagram post shows a longer, more elaborate chieftaincy cap for 20,000 Naira.
$100 CAD
In essence, while there isn't a fixed price list, Igbo chieftaincy titles come with associated costs that reflect the social standing, community expectations, and the traditional ceremonies involved in conferring the title.
Shamanic percussion, primarily using drums and rattles, is a powerful tool for inducing altered states of consciousness and facilitating spiritual experiences. The rhythmic drumming can entrain brainwaves, leading to states of relaxation, trance, and heightened intuition. This allows for shamanic journeys, healing practices, and connection with the spirit world.
Specific abilities associated with shamanic percussion:
Altering Consciousness:The repetitive beat of the drum can shift brainwave patterns, moving from the active beta state to the more relaxed alpha and theta states, which are associated with meditation, trance, and heightened intuition.
Facilitating Shamanic Journeys:Shamanic drumming is a key component of shamanic journeys, allowing practitioners to travel to other realms, connect with spirit guides, and seek guidance or healing for themselves or others.
Healing Practices:The rhythmic vibrations of the drum can help release emotional blockages, reduce stress, and promote physical and emotional healing.
Enhancing Intuition and Creativity:By quieting the conscious mind, drumming can allow intuitive insights and creative inspiration to surface.
Connecting with the Spirit World:Shamanic drumming is often used to connect with spirits, ancestors, and other non-physical entities, facilitating communication and collaboration.
Clearing and Purifying:Rattles and other percussive instruments are used to clear negative energy, purify spaces, and call in positive energies.
Community Building:Shamanic drumming can be a powerful tool for creating a sense of unity and connection within a group, fostering a shared spiritual experience.
How it works:
Rhythmic Entrainment:The steady beat of the drum influences brainwave patterns, guiding the listener into altered states of consciousness.
Sensory Stimulation:The repetitive sound and vibration of the drum can stimulate the senses and create a powerful immersive experience.
Symbolism and Intention:The specific rhythms, sounds, and accompanying rituals can be tailored to specific intentions, such as healing, guidance, or spiritual exploration.
In conclusion: Shamanic percussion, with its ability to induce altered states, facilitate journeys, and promote healing, is a versatile and powerful practice with deep roots in various cultures and traditions.
Shamanic percussion and singing are integral to shamanic practices, acting as tools to induce altered states of consciousness, facilitate healing, and connect with the spiritual realm. Shamans utilize instruments like drums and rattles, along with vocalizations and chanting, to create a resonant soundscape that can guide individuals into trance states and promote spiritual exploration.
Shamanic Percussion:
Drums:Shamanic drums, traditionally crafted from natural materials, are central to many shamanic traditions. The rhythmic beat is believed to induce altered states of consciousness, allowing for journeys to other realms and communication with spirits.
Rattles:Rattles, often made with natural materials like gourds or animal skin, are another common shamanic instrument. Their sounds are used to clear energy, accompany journeys, and enhance ritual experiences.
Other Instruments:Other instruments like flutes, bells, and various percussive elements may also be incorporated to create a rich and dynamic soundscape that supports shamanic practice.
Spatialization of Sound:Some shamanic traditions incorporate techniques like singing into the drum or using hanging metallic objects (like bells) to create a complex, spatialized sound field that can be experienced as immersive and transformative.
Shamanic Singing:
Chanting and Vocalizations:Singing, including chanting and toning, is used to further enhance the shamanic experience. Vocalizations can be used to create specific intentions, invoke spirits, or guide the listener on a journey.
Harmonic Singing:Harmonic singing, where multiple overtones are produced simultaneously, is another technique that can be used to deepen the meditative state and facilitate healing.
Humming:Humming, often used in conjunction with drumming, can help relax the body, activate the parasympathetic nervous system, and promote a sense of calm.
Benefits of Shamanic Percussion and Singing:
Altered States of Consciousness:The rhythmic patterns of drumming and singing can induce trance states, allowing for spiritual exploration and access to hidden realms.
Healing and Emotional Release:Shamanic practices are believed to facilitate emotional release, clear negative energy, and promote healing on multiple levels.
Connecting with the Spiritual Realm:The sounds of shamanic instruments and vocalizations can serve as a bridge to the spiritual realm, allowing for communication with spirits, ancestors, and spirit guides.
Personal Transformation:Shamanic practices can lead to greater self-awareness, insight, and personal growth.
In astrology, a Mercury-Neptune conjunction combined with a Mars aspect can bring about a mix of idealism, confusion, and potential for action, especially if Mars is involved. The Mercury-Neptune conjunction itself can foster creativity and new beginnings, but also lead to a lack of clarity or a tendency to get lost in fantasy. When Mars is added, it can create a push-pull between action and uncertainty.
Here's a breakdown:
Mercury Conjunct Neptune:This aspect can inspire innovative ideas and a strong intuition, but it can also lead to confusion and difficulty focusing on details. It's a time for dreaming and envisioning possibilities, but not necessarily for concrete action.
Mercury Square Mars:This aspect can bring about conflict and friction in communication. It can manifest as sharp words, disagreements, or a tendency to be argumentative.
Mars and Neptune:When Mars and Neptune interact, it can be a time of strong emotions, both positive and negative. There can be a desire to act on dreams and ideals, but also a potential for misdirection or confusion.
Overall Interpretation:
The combination of these aspects suggests a period where you might be filled with creative ideas and inspired by a vision, but you may also struggle with clarity and focus. Be cautious of taking action based on vague ideas or letting Neptune's influence cloud your judgment. It's important to find a balance between your dreams and reality, and to be mindful of potential conflicts or misunderstandings.
In the context of astrology, Neptune, Mercury, and Mars, combined with the personality type INTP, don't have a direct, universally accepted meaning. However, these elements can be interpreted in various ways based on individual birth charts and astrological interpretations. Neptune often represents dreams and intuition, Mercury governs communication and intellect, and Mars signifies action and assertiveness. When these planets interact with the INTP personality type, which is characterized by logical thinking and a detached approach, it can lead to a fascinating blend of traits.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Neptune:In astrology, Neptune is associated with dreams, intuition, spirituality, and illusion. It can inspire creativity, imagination, and a connection to the subconscious.
Mercury:Mercury rules communication, thinking processes, and how we express ourselves intellectually. It governs how we process information and share our thoughts.
Mars:Mars represents action, energy, assertiveness, and passion. It's the planet of drive and motivation.
INTP (Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Perceiving):INTPs are known for their logical and analytical minds. They are often independent, curious, and enjoy exploring complex ideas. They tend to be detached and objective in their thinking.
Possible Interpretations of Neptune, Mercury, and Mars in Relation to an INTP:
1. Neptune's Influence:If an INTP has a strong Neptune influence in their chart, they might exhibit a more creative and imaginative side than typically associated with the type. They could be drawn to artistic pursuits, philosophical or spiritual explorations, or have a heightened sense of intuition.
2. Mercury's Role:Mercury's influence on an INTP would likely amplify their natural communication style, potentially making them more articulate and precise in their explanations. It could also enhance their ability to analyze and synthesize information.
3. Mars' Impact:Mars could add a sense of passion and determination to the INTP's logical pursuits. They might be more assertive in expressing their ideas or more driven to pursue their intellectual interests.
Important Considerations:
Birth Chart:The specific house and aspects (relationships with other planets) of Neptune, Mercury, and Mars in an individual's birth chart would determine the precise impact of these planets on their personality and life path.
Individuality:Astrological interpretations are not absolute. Individuals with similar planetary placements can express their traits in unique ways.
No Direct Correspondence:There isn't a direct astrological correlation between these elements and the INTP personality type. The connections are based on interpretations and potential influences.
In essence, the combination of Neptune, Mercury, and Mars, along with the INTP personality type, can lead to a fascinating blend of logic, creativity, intuition, and assertiveness. The specific manifestation of these traits would depend on the individual's unique birth chart and astrological influences.
