*creak*
God damn you st-
*creak*
Maybe if i went slower
"God da-"
"Young lady."
Your eyes flew up as your lips parted in a little gasp. Before you stood a large figure. Broad shoulders and a threatening stance, it towered over you, causing you to freeze in place.
Tiny splinters dug into your frozen fingers as you gripped the stair handle, tightening your hold the more Sherlock kept silent.
I mean, is he going to keep standing there until the sun sets and the birds start churping?
Your older brother stepped aside, motioning for you to step inside. And you complied, slowly and hesitantingly.
"Youngsters ought not to be wandering about late at night, particularily when expressly told ,on multiple counts, not to slip out." Sherlock patienly waited for you, taking after you the moment you passed by him.
You felt smaller with a much bigger shadow than you. But you kept your posture straight, anyways.
Your head was feeling too heavy for your liking and you just wanted to sleep.
"I'm sorry, Sherlock, is there any way we could do this tomorrow morning? Now's not the time for a lecture." The words came in a gruff tone. And as if you weren't already in enough trouble with the man, you just headed for the room you and sister Enola shared.
"Sure...Tomorrow." Sherlock's voice sounded." Good night, little one."
"And don't think i didn't see those marks on your neck"
Fuck.
"We'll discuss it tomorrow."
--
It's tomorrow.
A pain is etching from your temple down to the hollow part that sits under your cheek.
Flashes of your....eventful evening storm in from your subconscious and a long sigh escapes your lips.
" Finally awake."
AH. You shriek, your body jerking to the uncomfortably close voice over you. Rolling around halfway, you jump backwards, shrieking at the two people standing over you.
What the hell?
Sherlock and Enola were standing at your bed, both leaning down to examine you like you're a cadaver they were just about to start inspecting.
But you weren't. So why the fu-"
"How did you get that, y/n?" The investigator's eyes dart from your own eyes to your cheek, and you unconsciously cover the said thing with your hand.
Uh....you were't sure whether to lie or not. Whether to tell the whole truth or just half of it.
"Uhhh..." A long sigh escaped your lips without your accordance as you hadn't already decided on which story to tell yet. "Uh..." You stuttered again, flustered.
You shrink in your bed, melting into the sheets as you leaned away from the figure that lowered it's upper body over yours.
"Little one, your answer better be the right one."
Sherlock's eyes calculatedly pursuited yours until they locked.
Dark and threatening, they glared into your soul. Shit. How can someone regret their decision the second they made it?
"I....I fell down the bar stairs."
Fuck. How can someone regret their decision the second they made it?
Sherlock straightens his back. "Really?"
"Y...yeah. you c-c-an ask the men th-there if you want." You got out of bed, the opposite side of where your siblings were standing.
"I was walking....I might've had a drink or two." Maybe admitting to another forbidden punishable act will help you elude the real thing? "And as i was walking down, my ankle twisted and i found myself flying down the stairs."
You brushed past both of them, heading for the door. Nice lie! If they were to go ask the men there, nobody would be able to say a single word, because all of them would have been too drunk to even know their own names.
You'd highfive yourself but-
"Alright then, show me the other bruises."
You were glad your back was facing them, as your eyes widened in surprise. Fuck! You didn't think of that. "The ones on your hands and knees, probably, as well as your hip." Triumph laced Sherlock's voice. You internally damned him to an afterlife in hell.
"What...other bruises?"
"Well of course i can't do that!" You spin around, disdain etched across your face. You scoff.
"I can't undress myself in front of y-"
Haha! Enola. You almost forgot about h-
"He'll leave the room."
You snort a provocative chuckle "You really believe i think of you any differently, Enola?"
"I'm sure he trusts my decision making by now." Your sister lifted a triumphant brow.
Enola's eyebrows relax as annoyance etches across her face. She sighs and happiness internally floods your body. Looks like you were close to win the battle. With her.
"How's this?" Anger embodies Sherlock.
Definitely only with her.
"Lie and i will make sure you...never do that again."
Sherlock started walking towards you.
"But then again, i would like for you to spare us the anticipation, i already know you're lying. Because your-"
"Because my toes seem strange and i breathed in instead of out?"
"Because your friend came running here and said you were getting yourself in really bad trouble. And that it was only a matter of time before somebody got badly hurt."
Oh..of course she did...
"Listen, y/n, we understand that you're afraid of our reactions." Enola started, crossing her arms over her chest. "But you can't hide those things from us, we're your siblings."
Adorable-not good enough, though. Not to insult Enola's attemps and efforts, but you'd never do that just because you're siblin-"That's Enola."
"On my part, if i ever find out you're lying to me about something like this, i will make your life a living hell, little girl. And trust my words, i will make sure of it."
Your head spun towards Sherlock, a bit surprised and...scared as darkness suddenly swamped his voice.
You would've rolled your eyes at him but you were already in enough trouble. You wouldn't want to bury yourself in it, would you?
"I'm sorry." The lie slipped out of your lips like butter. You're not sorry. You don't care. In fact, you're not done with those stupid bastards. And you're not one to let go easily.
Thankfully, they weren't going to know since your face was already bruised. Or are they?

I HAVE A QUESTIONABLE IMAGINATION TOO I WILL DO BETTER NEXT TIME OKI KISSIES NOW BYE BYE. ❤️❤️❤️🥀🥀🥀

hey, so i wanted to ask - i have a friend who's transmasc and just started hrt in the last few days. he's currently having a major freakout about it, and it's making him question whether it was a good idea at all. he feels like all the dudes he knows were ecstatic about finally getting t-juice whereas he's fretting a lot. in your experience... is this normal?
yeah fretting over making any big life changes is normal! but a few days isn't enough to actually feel the HRT and no one is likely to get irreversible changes for months and months. nothing changed for me for the first month or two but acne and a more stable mood and being very hungry.
psychologically though, taking a big step towards medically transitioning to a man can really bring up all your issues with men at once. i definitely had to wrestle with the issue of like, i did not like men and wasn't particularly sure if i could stand to BE a man. but it turns out that i like the man i became! but still, i think it's pretty dang common for trans men to grow up with A LOT of trust and anger issues towards men, and those feelings just keep coming up as you transition. you have to resolve them along the way, it's just as much of a part of it as the hormones.
i would definitely suggest you refer your friend to this comic:
worst case scenario, your friend turns out to be the one trans man in the world that turns Evil and he embarks on an unrepentant quest of sexual harassment. this is very unlikely. whats totally possible is he just doesn't like being a man, and transitions into a different gender or just rolls it back to start. a small percentage of people do this! it's okay! there's no permanent state of the self. it's fine to try stuff and decide you don't like it. best case scenario, he gets over the jitters and turns into the coolest man in the world and highfives a shark every morning in front of a rainbow while surfing on lava. this is much more likely than the worst case scenario.
while it's totally valid for him to just call a halt right now, and wait until he's more confident and settled with himself to try again, i would still recommend he give himself about three months on T to see what's up. by three months he'll probably have a clearer idea on what's not working, and why, or he'll have discovered that things are actually going well.

Hickey Prank
Concept: another prank on ruel but instead of pregnancy it’s the hickey prank since I love the idea of pranking him and making him freak out before being all cute with him. Like usual dm me or whatnot for a request. Also don’t worry I’ll be doing a pt. 2 for him doing the prank as revenge (Sorry that this is so long lmao, do y’all like long imagines? Or should I shorten them in the future) Hope you enjoy :)
“What’s going on whores? Y’all requested I do another prank on Rueloff, so I decided that the pregnancy prank wasn’t enough, it’s time to up the game. And you know what that means... HICKEY TIME” I screech at my camera sitting in front of me with a giant smile.
I continue my intro and what I’m going to do, before introducing Coco as my professional makeup artist for the fake hickey, both of us laughing since we know it’s going to be a good video. We joke around and film while she starts applying the eyeshadows on my neck.
“Honestly I’m so good at this, like I could be a professional. Ruel could never leave a hickey as good as me, like fuck real ones, we only rocking fakes ones from here on out bitches” Coco cheers as I laugh. Trust her to be the only person to ever say something like that, but I mean she is the best Van Dijk for a reason.
“Wait am I doing one, or like one that’s more noticeable than the others with a few scattered around? Like I guess my question is what does my brother do so we can do something he’d know wasn’t his” she questions, fake gagging as she thinks about Ruel giving me a hickey. I instantly burst out laughing, knowing she’s gonna hate what I’m about to say.
“Okay welllll you see he doesn’t usually leave any on my neck because of paps and fans trying to take pics, so he’ll know they aren’t his if they’re above my collarbones” I laugh out, covering my face at my confession, feeling it heat up under my hands. Coco chokes on air at my statement, not wanting to know what her little brother does in his free time with me.
“Wow I definitely did not want to know that but I’ll do one more noticeable one with a few light ones scattered around” she mumbles, continuing on with her makeup application on me, as I turn off the camera, deciding to just start filming again once it’s time. I put on one of my Spotify playlists, both of us just singing along and talking about how we think he’s going to react. I start to fiddle with my promise ring as my hands start to sweat, before deciding to just take it off and set it on the nightstand, making a mental note to put it back on before we start the prank.
“Honestly like I’m really not sure about what he’s going to do, like he’s so unpredictable. The fans never see it but he can get pretty angry sometimes when it has to do with people he loves.” Coco muses while setting the makeup and making sure it looks like it’s my skin and not super fake, knowing he’ll really stare at it to see if he’s just losing his mind. I ponder over what she says, genuinely unsure of what his reaction will be since it’s basically me tricking him into thinking I’m cheating.
“Yeah, I definitely get what you mean. I’m not sure if he’s going to be really sad and hurt or if he’s going to be really hurt but fucking pissed with me” she hums in agreement, knowing that there’s no way to be sure of his reaction, but just hope that he doesn’t lose it completely.
“Well no matter what I’m here, so as soon as shit goes too far , I’ll come down to make my appearance to confirm that it’s a prank since he will still be worked up a little even after you show him it comes off with water” she says, confirming our plan for when we tell him it’s just a prank. We both go around the house setting up the cameras, so that we can get footage in any of the rooms we may go into, during what we assume is going to be him pacing through the rooms completely pissed with me.
“Okay guys, we’re back and ready for this prank! Ruel texted me saying he’s on his way back from the studio, I picked up Coco today so he will have no clue anyone’s here but me since her car is at her apartment” I say to the main camera in our bedroom, placing it so that it gets a full view of the room if we come in here.
“Get ready bitches because it’s show time” Coco smirks at the camera. We both leave the room and I take her into the music room, where Ruel has his instruments and music sheets everywhere. I tell her to just hang in here while everything happens so that she can still hear it all, but will be out of sight. We both highfive and I leave the room to head downstairs to the living room, nervous for what’s about to happen. As I settle on the couch and pull a blanket on me, I hear the jingle of keys as the front door opens, before hearing footsteps head to where I am.
“Hey baby, sorry I got back a little late today. Do anything fun while I was gone?” Ruel mumbles, placing a kiss to the side of my head, before sitting next to me and taking off his shoes to carelessly toss them next to the coffee table. I lean my head onto his chest as he wraps his arm around my shoulders, throwing a quick smirk to the camera hidden in here.
“Nope, saw Coco earlier and had lunch with her, that was why I was really slow at texting you back earlier” I explain looking up at him as he nods his head and listens to my explanation. He grabs my hand and starts playing with my fingers, before taking another close look.
“Where’s your promise ring? You literally never take it off” he questions, completely throwing me off since I forgot I had taken it off when my hands started to get sweaty, but realizing it adds more to the whole hickey thing.
“Huh I must’ve taken it off when cooking this morning and just never put it back on, I’ll put it on once we head upstairs later” I answer, trying to act as calm as possible as he stared me straight in the eyes with an unwavering look.
“You never take it off? Why are you starting to now?” He decides to question me further, making me try my hardest to hold back a laugh, knowing he’s falling right into my plan. I give him a soft smile and kiss his cheek before cuddling into him even more, feeling his arms tighten around me.
“I think because it was a little messy I didn’t want to get anything on it, so I just slipped it off and placed it upstairs” I said trying to convince him, seeing him give me an unconvinced look from the corner of my eyes. I turn to look at him before deciding it’s time to get everything in motion for the big freakout.
“I missed you today” I whisper out, my chin on his chest as I look up into his green eyes, smiling at the soft love filled look he gives me. He leans down and presses his lips to mine, before lifting me up and placing me across the couch, one hand rests on my hip while the other rests on the side of my neck as he hovers over me. I try to keep everything as pg as possible, not wanting to have to cut anything out of the video since this is the buildup to everything. He’s resting between my legs as he starts to kiss around my jaw before slowly making his way down to my neck on one side, before moving to the other side that holds the hickey.
“what the fuck?” He whispers, completely freezing all movement as he stares at my neck. I turn my head to slightly cover it, giving him my most innocent look. I rest my hand on his cheek as he stares at me with complete shock on his face. He pushes away from me and stands up turning on all the lights he can in the living room, since I had it all a little dim so he wouldn’t see right away.
“Stand up.” He slightly snaps out, looking at me with an emotionless face. I hesitantly stand, keeping my hair over my neck and my chin pointed a little lower than usual. He rolls his eyes, before firmly but carefully grabbing my head and lifting it up, completely causing my neck to be exposed.
“Ruel what’re you doing? Stop it” I mumble out, pushing his hands away from my neck as he tilts my head to the side. He watches me with a look of pure betrayal, causing me to freeze up for a second at the pain he was feeling. He lets out a scoff and rolls his eyes, pacing around for a couple of seconds before turning back to me.
“Are you fucking cheating on me? Who the fuck did that?” He hisses out, eyes going from their beautiful green, to almost black. I give him a fake nervous glance, wringing my hands out in front of me before fake stuttering a reply to him.
“R-ruel you did that? They’re from last night” I say trying to reason with him as I reach for his hands, feeling him rip them away from my grip. He gives me a look of complete horror, that I’d dare try to pin this on him.
“We both know damn well I didn’t do that, I never leave them where they’re visible. Especially not fucking more than one. I can’t believe you’d do this to me” he spits out with so much pain that I start to debate whether or not to stop the prank already. Before I can tell him the truth he takes off upstairs towards our bedroom, causing me to run up after him to see what he’s going to do. He throws open the closet and starts grabbing clothes, throwing them onto the bed. In complete panic I jump onto him and stop him from grabbing more clothes.
“Wait Ruel baby stop, calm down for a second please.” I plead, trying to get him to stop so I can tell him it was just a prank and that I would never cheat on him. I guess he decided to take the angry and hurt route rather than the sad one. He shakes me off of him and tosses me onto the bed so that I land in the pile of clothes. He starts throwing his hands in the air in an exasperated manner, trying to figure out what to say.
“Don’t fucking call me baby, I’m not your baby anymore. You cheated on me, after everything we’ve ever promised to each other, you went and fucking cheated. Who was he? Since obviously he can do more for you than I can” he venomously hisses out, with hurt clear in his eyes, the beautiful green eyes that are starting to get misty with unshed tears.
“Ruel I didn’t cheat on you, give me a second to explain, please I love you and I promise it’s not what you think.” I try to reason with him grabbing his hand and pulling him to sit on the bed next to me. He pulls away from me but remains seated, running his hands down his face.
“Theres no explaining. I can see your neck, I know what it is... you never loved me” he chokes out, a single tear falling down his face. I reach out to wipe it away, knowing nows the time to stop this prank, it’s gone farther than I wanted. I never wanted it to go this way, I truly didn’t think it’d go this way or I wouldn’t have done it.
“I love you. You know I love you and that I’d never cheat on you. No other guy compares to you. Bubs it’s just a prank, I promise it’s just a prank.” I whisper to him, watching his head whip towards me with a glare. He stands up and starts pacing around, making me anxious on his reply.
“It looks real. I don’t fucking believe you. Your ring was off, you weren’t replying earlier, Coco never made a post of you together, and the hickey didn’t come off at all and when I rubbed it. Why’re you lying to me!” He shouts out, completely hurt to believe me, veins in his neck slightly popping out from his distress.
“Ruel follow me.” I mumble out, walking to the bathroom as he follows me, still in view of the camera frame. He stands against the bathroom door as I wet a wash cloth and hand it to him. He holds it and stares at me incredulously.
“I’m not touching you nor am I going to wipe your neck. We should just breakup now to get it over with” he deadpans, still too angry to believe me. I honestly can’t blame him, Coco did an amazing job making them realistic and smudge proof. I feel my heart sting at him wanting to break up, but I just roll my eyes before grabbing his hand and using it to drag the washcloth down my neck. He stands there in silence, moving my hand from his so that he can wiping at my neck, watching as the shades of red and purple slowly wash away. He sets the cloth on the counter before standing across from me and just staring at me, not saying a word.
“Are you going to breakup with me?” I mumble out, terrified at what this prank could have done. I need him, I should have known that this prank was too risky, especially when it comes to someone who puts their all into a relationship. Someone who’s biggest fear is getting cheated on or left behind. He drags his hands through his hair, giving me a slight glare before reaching out and tugging me into his arms.
“I want to kill you right now for doing this, where is she? I know Coco was a part of this prank since she used to make fake bruises to get out of pe in school.” He mutters into my neck, holding me tighter than ever. We both hear shuffling and turn our heads to see Coco standing there with a sheepish smile on her face, also not expecting this to have been the outcome.
“Hello dearest brother of mine, I love you” she says with a big grin, watching as he glares at her and walks into the bedroom. He picks up my ring on his nightstand and beckons me over to him, making Coco and I listen and walk to him. He grabs my hand and slides the ring back on, pulling me in and kissing the top of my head. I pull away and grab the camera, setting it up in front of the bed, as we sit down, ruel sitting in the middle of us.
“Well you guys that did not go as planned, or maybe it did? Like the point was to get a reaction, but I personally think it was a little too far. I hope you enjoy this wild ass prank video and you better like it, you guys almost cost me my whole ass relationship” I groan out to the camera, leaning my body against Ruels.
“You guys are all assholes, I honestly was about to have a heart attack. Not gonna lie I was about to go through your phone and find the guy so I could beat his ass, I’ve never been more angry than I was today” he states with a chuckle causing Coco and I to instantly lighten up, realizing that Ruel was fine now that he saw it was just a prank. I was truly scared this was going to affect our actual relationship.
“Honestly we didn’t think it’d go this far, it was supposed to be a simple prank, but as you can tell shit blew up” Coco states as all of us laugh and agree, knowing it was never the intention for this to all happen when we made the video, no one was supposed to actually get hurt.
“well guys that’s the end of this video and I love you all, don’t forget to leave a thumbs up and subscribe, also comment down below what you want to see next, but please spare my poor baby next time” I laugh out as Ruel nods his head vigorously, before giving me a kiss on the cheek. We all wave to the camera before shutting it off. Coco goes downstairs to shut the other ones off, before coming up to give us hugs and say goodbye, claiming this prank made her too tired to stay and hangout.
Ruel pulls me back on the bed with him, having me lean against the headboard as he lays with his chest against my back. I intertwine our fingers and rest them against his stomach, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. He turns his head and kisses my arm before tilting his head to look at me.
“I love you so much, I know you could never cheat on me, but seeing that made me so mad that I honestly couldn’t rationalize anything, like it looked so real” he says, with a small frown, upset with himself that he could even believe for a second that I’d cheat on him. I smile at him and give him a soft kiss, before pulling away to kiss his forehead.
“I can’t blame you, they looked real as fuck. Honestly it’s not your fault, I didn’t know what I’d do if I was in your place, like honestly I’d lose my shit. I’m sorry if it went too far bub” I mumble back, giving him a soft look, feeling terrible that he was in so much distress because of a prank. He laughs and presses his lips to mine, giving me a slow but love filled kiss, before pulling back to give me a smirk as I lay underneath him completely breathless. His smirk never fades as he reaches a hand up and caresses my cheek, before dragging it down to lightly tug on my bottom lip with his thumb.
“Don’t worry, it wasn’t too far. I think you did a perfect prank, but beware love, you’ve started a war. Trust me, karma is a bitch and she’s going to bite you in the ass soon” he smirks, causing me to roll my eyes at his dramatics.
I mean what’s the worst he can do?

Hiring a Local Basement Contractor: Remodeling, Finishing & Waterproofing
Tumblr media
Basement professionals lead the range of contractors. You can find a company that offers broad finishing services. Or you can find some experts who complete the job piecemeal, starting with a waterproofing company and then flooring, electrical, and plumbing pros.
You need to know how to find the right contractor, what to ask, and how to work with him. This guide can help you whether you want to finish your basement or just add waterproofing.
When You Hire A Contractor To Finish A Basement
Basement extension is often the most cost-effective option to add square feet to the floor plan of your home, but it can only work well if you take the time to find and interview specialists.
Completing your basement is a great investment in time and money, and the rewards can be even more significant. Hiring the right expert will add a significant amount of living space while increasing the value of your home by about 70% of the project cost.
Professionals hired usually take care of
• Flooring
• Insulation
• Building Walls, and
• Finishing the Ceiling.
You may need to hire subcontractors to provide waterproofing, plumbing, or electricity services. Ask your contractor if they specialize in these services in advance.
Hiring Tips in The Research Phase
Some contractors offer you the choice of flooring in the basement and help you assess the advantages and disadvantages. Others simply expect you to make all the design and material decisions. Know what to expect before hiring an expert.
When you start looking for a professional to help you complete the room, look for a few special things to help you find the right expert:
• Set Your Budget: Finishing your basement expenses between $10K and $50K and more, so it’s crucial to know what you can afford.
• Go Beyond The Price: Take the extra time to view photos of each company’s previous work to avoid choosing an inferior professional.
• Look For Online Reviews and Ratings: Especially on independent sites such as HighFive Listings.
• Check License and Insurance Information.
• Pay Attention To Communication: This is a large and often lengthy project. Make sure that the company you choose respects your wishes.
Questions To A Contractor Who Is Completing A Basement
When the first investigation is complete, contact all the companies that meet your criteria and ask several specific questions:
• What experiences have you had with the basement finishes?
• Are you registered, licensed, and insured with the state?
• Will a permit be required for this project, and can you help me obtain it?
• How much time do you think the project will take?
• Will, you offer cost options for various materials?
• Which part of the project will you complete and which will have to be awarded to subcontractors?
• Will you manage and supervise local subcontractors?
• Do you have references to previous works that I can contact?
Following this last question, you will find references for each company that still meets your criteria. Knowing which questions to ask each customer can help you to recognize the quality of the work.
• Were you satisfied with the project?
• Was the work done on time?
• Were there unexpected expenses?
• Would you use this contractor?
• Would you recommend this professional?
Find The Best  Basement Remodeling Companies
Your basement might already be finished, but it needs complete renovation work. In this case, it is worth working with an expert who specializes in remodeling.
This professional will work as a general contractor, and perform specialized tasks such as waterproofing, electrical, and sanitary work. Unless you plan to change the room layout, these tasks will not be as important as in the case of basement finishing.
What Renovation Professionals Should Look Out For:
The most important decision you make when you embark on a basement remodeling project is to select your contractors. When deciding between many companies, price should not be your only concern. Rather, take these steps to drive a balance between quality and budget:
• Set A Price Range: With an average basement remodeling expense of about $20K, knowing what you can afford should be the first step.
• Start With A Wide-Ranging Search: Write down a list of contractors in your area who can potentially do the job.
• Pay Attention To Customer Reviews: Online reviews and ratings are a great approach to narrow down your search.
• Check Your License and Insurance: Consider only experts who have the necessary papers.
• Use Your Judgment: Given the length of the project, you must be able to get along with the workers on your property.
What to Ask Basement Renovation or Remodeling Services
The first steps above should have left you a few companies that meet all the criteria. Contact them and ask some specific questions to evaluate their qualifications:
• How long have you been renovating basements?
• What formal training did you have for this work?
• Do you belong to any professional associations?
• Do you have a state-issued license and registration?
• Are you insured?
• Do you give written guarantees?
• Can you evaluate how long it will take?
• Will you offer options for different materials?
• Do you have any references I can contact?
Once you have references from previous clients, ask them several questions to get a feel for their experience with the professional.
The Choice of A Basement Waterproofing or Repair Pro
Not all renovation projects are aesthetic, some are just necessary to keep your home dry. A basement waterproofing company can ensure this with a variety of solutions, ranging from installing indoor sump pumps to French outdoor drainage.
A couple of companies offer all services, but well trained in one or the other. Some of these work is done directly within your foundation, so it is essential to find an expert with the appropriate expertise.
First Steps in Selecting A Contractor
Reputation is the key to this kind of professionalism. Any work that involves your foundation needs someone who knows exactly what it is doing. The cost of sealing your basement can cost you $10K or more. Make sure the money is spent wisely.
• Know Your Problem: It could be just a $500 solution, or you might need a new foundation. If in doubt, ask for free foundation repair estimates.
• Do Your research: How many professionals in your area can do the work you need to keep your room safe and dry?
• Check Reviews and Ratings: High ratings are great. In-depth reviews that detail the work for a client are even better.
• Check Licensing: Do not work with someone who is not licensed and registered with the state.
• Understand Warranties: Consider only companies that back up their talk of quality with a guarantee that they can solve problems.
Ask Professionals Who are Waterproof, Sealed, or Repair
The interview process is critical. If you bring companies out to make you an offer, sit down for a few very specific questions to help you determine their quality.
• What’s your estimated timeframe for the job?
• How many years are you in the business?
• Have you had faults with the systems you installed? What went worse, and how will you settle it this time?
• Would you suggest exterior or interior waterproofing, and why?
• Which sump pumps would you recommend if any? Where would you fit them?
• Why do you think your proposed project would be the right solution for me?
• Do you offer assurance and what does it cover?
• Can you provide any references for past work like mine?
Answers to these questions tell you almost everything you need to know. Look for honest answers that acknowledge past mistakes, but also a way forward to ensure that this doesn’t happen again. Experience shines via in some of the more specific questions, even if you’re not a waterproofing expert yourself.
DIY (Do It Yourself) vs. Hiring A Basement Professional To Remodel or Refinish
The first question most homeowners need to answer is whether they need to hire an outside professional. In most cases, the answer is yes. If you are an expert on one of the following topics, you may be able to save some money by doing it yourself.
Can I Finish My Basement?
You can finish your basement, but only if you have extensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general contractor. Start by contacting your local municipality to gets any essential permitting.
Be prepared to detect potential problems as soon as you start working on walls and floors. Also, the project takes time. If you only work on weekends, it is common for this sort of project to take two years or more.
Can I Frame My Basement?
Do you understand how to install a floating wall? The answer to this question is central to understanding whether you can frame your basement.
Simply installing a few 2x4s is not enough. The floor under your foundation, and therefore your cement floor, will expand and contract over time. Floating walls ensure that this movement does not seriously compromise the integrity of the structure of your home. Therefore, working with a specialist is important.
Finishing Basement Walls Yourself
The finishing layer over your wall frame needs to take floating walls into account. Whether you want to install drywall or wood paneling, you need to make sure you leave enough room for an expanding and contracting floor.
It requires precise knowledge of how much space to leave on the floor and how to anchor the wall. Most homeowners are unfamiliar with this process, so it is best left to licensed contractors.
How to Install Basement Floors
Installing your basement floor is similar to other levels of the house, with a few additional complications.
• Moisture: You must keep your floor dry in a room with potentially high humidity.
• Obstacles: You must protect the integrity of your French drain indoors or other types of existing waterproofing.
If you are unsure about both, hire a professional.
Finishing Basements With Low Ceilings
On the level below your living space. They complete the space, but they must also have easy access to all the sanitary facilities and electricity that flows into the house. That’s what makes drop ceilings so popular.
You need to know exactly how much space you need to leave, how to support all your ceiling beams, and how to avoid power lines. Work with a contractor who can help you.
FAQs
What Can I Predict From My Company For Basement Finishing?
What you can expect from your finishing company depends on the exact professionals you hire. Some will sit down to plan the detailed floor plan and choice of materials with you; others will expect you to make those decisions.
Regardless of this, your contractor expects you to clean the room and rid it of debris and clutter. Make their work as easy as possible by providing them with easy access to and from the basement. If the contractors are going to be exceptionally dusty, as after sanding drywall, get some carpet parts from a store and place them in a path to the door.
Are Basement Finishing and Remodeling Professionals the Same?
Many, but everyone, basement remodeling experts are the same or offer comparable services. Finishing specialists tend to do remodeling work as well, but remodeling specialists cannot always finish a room. That’s because the procedure tends to be more difficult and involves more subtasks. Be sure what you’re looking for when hiring one or the other to avoid confusion.
Is it Worth it To Finish a Basement?
The completion of your basement is worthwhile, both for the resale value and for the additional living space. It is the easiest way to add livable spaces to your house without building an addition.
How Should I Business With Basement Contractors on My Property?
Proper etiquette can make everyone’s job easier on a major home improvement project, and these contractors spend most of their time out of the way. It’s very convenient for everyone involved, but it’s very important to keep the lines of communication open throughout your project.
Brewing a large pot of coffee and giving a cup to your crew is one of the best things a homeowner can do when making a major renovation. It doesn’t cost you much, but it lets your crew know that you appreciate the work they do. Homeowners who bring a little warmth to their contractors often get ten times as much productivity or even small extras back for free.
How Can I Get a Cheap Basement Remodel?
When it comes to basement projects, cheaper is not always better. Low quality work can threaten the integrity of your home and pose future dangers to everyone living in it. A few cost-effective points can help you optimize your budget:
• Get multiple quotes to make sure you get reasonable prices from all companies.
• If you are qualified, you should do some of the work yourself.
• Organise experts such as electricians or plumbers, rather than leaving it to the general contractor for a fee.
• Choose your materials wisely, such as vinyl over ceramic tiles.
Where Can I Find Remodeling and Basement Contractors Near Me?
In any part of the nation where most houses have basements, finishing professionals are easy to find. You also need to make sure you work with qualified experts. HighFive Listings allows previous customers to post reviews, comments, and reviews of the company they have chosen.

The Importance of Virtual Selling During the Age of COVID-19 and Beyond
With the ongoing spread of COVID-19, businesses are going through a rapid digital transformation. While the immediate future may be uncertain, one thing is clear – the world has changed and the mind of the consumer has changed along with it. With social distancing measures in place all over the world, digital marketing and virtual selling is the way of the future.
What Does This Mean for Businesses in the Home Improvement Industry?
First, be optimistic. This is an incredibly challenging time for the world, but it’s also an opportunity to slow down and focus on how you can optimize your business and stay connected to your customers cost effectively and easily. Now is the time to dial in on your reputation as a caring, “customer first” company while optimizing your internal sales process for better longterm growth.
#1 Sell Online When You Can: Consider an E-Commerce Website or an Online Estimating Tool
If you have projects that can be drop-shipped such as home decor items, garden or patio furnishings, replacement parts or easy-to-ship consumer products, nows the time to move beyond brick-and-mortar. Starting up an e-commerce website is easier than ever, thanks to platforms such as Shopify or Squarespace – no coding or design skills required. Fast and easy payment processing for your customers can be included as well.
Another helpful website feature can be an online estimating tool. Whether someone needs a roof repair, new patio cover, a home extension or replacement windows, customers need to be able to get a quick quote on your website. Once the quote has been submitted, you can follow up with a direct video conference call with Zoom or Whereby.com to finalize the design and offer the customer a FREE 3D render of the project.
Today more so than ever, people love being able to get the information they’re looking for quickly. So this will be a great help to your business and your sales process both now and in the future.
#2 Build Trust With Video Communication Tools
Once you’ve connected with a potential customer through your website, PPC or social media efforts, it’s important to have a plan in place to help them continue on the decision-making journey. Video communication tools work far better in building trust with a customer than a standard phone call.
Training your sales team to feel comfortable using free (and paid) web conferencing tools, such as Zoom, Google Meet, Whereby, and HighFive, will be a massive asset for your sales team.
When it comes time to closing the deal, you can offer TOUCHLESS payments such as Stripe or PayPal or just take a credit card payment over the phone.
#3 In A Time When Everyone Is Online, Be Sure To Leverage Your Social
With everyone following the #SayHome movement, social media usage has gone up through the roof (pun intended ). Take advantage of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest as a low-cost way to drive traffic back to your website in order to keep the conversation going with your potential customers.
It’s important to let your customers know that you’re there for them and that you put their safely and well-being as a top priority. If you are in construction, plumbing, or in home Improvement, you may want to communicate that you are an “essential business”-- just be sure to check with the laws in your local area.
Also, be sure to take advantage of low-cost paid advertising on Facebook and Instagram. For as little as $3.00-$10.00 per day, you can remarket to people via custom audiences. No need to spend your full quarterly marketing budget in under 30-days. A conservative drip campaign will do nicely when supported by other low-cost marketing efforts during this time.
#4 Provide Excellent Customer Service – From a Distance
Reassure you customers. Be sure to mention that you offer virtual selling along with installation that requires little to no face-to-face contact on your website, on your social channels and in all other advertising channels.
This way your customers will feel more comfortable moving forward with their home improvement projects knowing the proper CDC guidelines are being followed by your company.
Whether you’re hardscaping, installing a roof, replacing a window or putting in a sunroom, make sure your team is wearing (or offers to wear) masks, gloves, protective suits or overgarments (if available), along with disposable booties if inside the home. These precautions will not only ease your customers’ minds but will ensure that your team is protected as well.
Remember, we’re all in this together. As a nation, we will be breaking a lot of old processes, developing new collaboration skills and learning valuable lessons.
When it’s over, you will have all have propelled your business forward through difficult circumstances. The added advantage of this will be that running your business during the good times will be all the more streamlined and effective.
Be sure to look forward because the dust will settle, and good things are on the horizon.

Venus de Milo (ayyyy)
Venus De Milo: Do you believe that everyone deserves a second chance, no matter what they’ve been through in the past?
hell yeah lmaoooo Jumping up in the air for a triumphant freeze-frame Highfive but then once we land we’re hit with some somber philosophy 101 ethics questions.........funny that the phrasing makes it sound like ppl being through shit in the past would make you Less inclined to give them second chances........bit different answers depending on like, who’s giving who chances, and what is it a chance at........like, people aren’t Entitled to stuff like “having a personal relationship with a particular individual” so if anybody wants to like, Not resume / renew a relationship with someone for whatever reason, they sure don’t Owe them a "second chance” or third or fourth etc.......like, safe to assume we all have these Mitigating Factors in our lives / histories that would inspire sympathy / the perspective that we’re People With Feelings and understandable motivations and like, tout comprendre c'est tout pardonner and shit, so yknow how about the perspective be about people’s Behavior as the issue to focus on, and not whether or not the person is as human as anyone else, cuz let’s just go ahead and assume that’s always the case w/ everyone, yknow. so like if someone Understands that there’s Motivations behind someone’s actions or whatever, that doesn’t mean they have to accept those actions / the treatment they’re receiving / have received......and like, the Motivating Factors behind harmful behavior is probably gonna be relevant to the person who has to figure out how to stop acting that way, but for the person who’s received that treatment, like, what’s not most important re: should they keep this person in their life and/or let them back into it is whether there was Understandable / Sympathetic Motivation behind it but like instead, has the behavior truly changed / do they have reason to believe that the person is engaged in the process of changing. cuz yknow, even if someone hasn’t done anything Egregious / harmful towards someone, that person does not owe them any personal relationship, so that applies even further if they Have been mistreated / harmed by them, b/c no one inherently deserves unlimited access to any and everyone, especially when misused in a harmful way. so like yeah when it comes to interpersonal “does someone deserve Unlimited Opportunities at A Personal Relationship / Connection To Someone” like, no, someone can Not want to be involved w/ someone else for any or No reason, and should be able to have that desire be respected/ensured, and there shouldn’t be anyone saying like oh you Have to let [whatever person] be in your life / have whatever relationship to you. and whatever matter of like, “does this person who’s done [whatever] have anything in their personal history that anyone could sympathize with / that could elucidate their motivations / influences for another person” is a separate issue.
meanwhile when it comes to like, does someone deserve a “second chance” re: [Society...] what do i do but slam the rt on pic abolitionist tweets, which maybe shows here

I had a few questions that I wanted to ask after you beat the game to avoid spoilers: what do you think Shin's relationship to the Guardians are like now that they have been humbled by the experience of losing their Light? How was he affected by the loss of Light? What is his relationship with the non-City humans like both before and after the campaign?
Mate, we are clearly on the same line of musings here [highfive]. And for the record, if you have thoughts of your own on this subject, pluh-huh-hease share, I am keen.
As far as I know Destiny 2 didn’t add anything to Shin’s story besides an acknowledgement he exists? That could be a hidden primer to summarise it for new players in preparation for material further down the line, or it could just be random puff piecing; either way, there’s nothing that says where Shin is or what he’s doing during the game, which is a little unfortunate because that would really useful for sussing out his character. A Shin who has been helping a non-Farm group of survivors on the other side of the occupied City would be demonstrating a different set of priorities than a Shin who hesitates, looking back at the flames, and then continues dogging the trail of the Shadows of Yor.
So, you know, fair warning that without that canon specification the responses below are even more guesswork than usual.
I’ve mentioned before that as much as I genuinely like Devrim as a character I would have loved to have seen Shin in his place, because that’s the kind of answer I want to give to “what is his relationship with the non-City humans?” I like to think that Shin has spent his post-Yor years focusing on everyone outside the walls, keeping tabs on the settlements still out there; offering to escort them to the City if they wish, but also offering to help them maintain the home they already have. He’ll deal with a pack of Fallen that have been harrassing them, scrummage up needed supplies, pitch in to mend a broken roof - whatever they need that he can give.
If that’s at all true, then he’d get on famously with those settlers, and also with ex-City folk like Hawthorne who grew disaffected with City life for whatever reason. He’d be understanding of her issues with Guardians and approving of her protectiveness towards others, and she’d find him more down-to-earth than those Light-blighted battleheads in the Tower who are oh so willing to go be heroes but probably couldn’t tell you the names of half the civilians who work among them. (Neither of them are entirely fair in their attitudes towards the City, but cranky kindred spirits are still kin.)
However, that could all be wishful thinking. Maybe he sees his role more as the watcher of the watchmen, the silent sentinel crouched in the distance, guarding the secret of Thorn. Maybe Hawthorne would find his story somewhat sympathetic, but judge that he ultimately still falls into that big picture blinkering that she clearly finds grating about Guardians (“it’s for your own good,” they say, and restrict access to the wilds or push you away from the fight or run away to Titan right when you need them). Maybe the only relationship he has with those outside the City are the awed murmurings of the one of their kind who rose to the Light.
I live in rueful admittance that there may come a day when Headcanon Shin and Canon Shin diverge severely enough that they end up glaring at each other in high offence.
I do think, either way, that Shin would care about the destruction wreaked on the City, and the loss of the Light would absolutely be a shock to the system. He’d be better braced for it than the rest of the Guardians - less “what am I now, how do I fight this fight when I only have one life to give?”, more “oh, back to me again”, and he’s been trained to fight as a simple mortal - but he clearly regards the Light and presumably the Traveler with enough respect that having that fire snuffed out would be a hollowing feeling. He has a very personal attachment to the Light, after all: he’s the only Guardian we know of to have consciously agreed to take the duty on. There’s also his Ghost, who is quite probably his last link to Jaren and his childhood: having it abruptly fall out of the sky would be hellishly emotional. It’s been there throughout some of the worst moments of his life, its known him since he was a boy, they shared the loss of a man and a home they loved and they shared the vengeance on the one who took them, and now it’s is crumpled and weak and maybe dying and he has no idea how to fix it. That’s gotta be hard.
To that end, I don’t know whether he’d regard Towerfall as a ‘humbling’ experience for the others. We’re getting into the finer nuances of headcanon here, but I see him as having a bit of a confused mix of feelings about the Tower and the City: there’s some real bitterness for sure, but there are also still the remnants of the hero worship of his youth. “If you had to live like we lived,” he’d think sometimes, “if you had to lose what I lost-”, and then they do and they have and there’s no satisfaction in it. He never wanted his story to be anyone else’s, not really, not truly. Somewhere, deep down, a small boy mourns for the final shattering of the dream - for the promised paradise of the last safe city, shining even in the night.
In that sense it’s almost more of a humbling for Shin; perhaps the kind that finally draws him behind the walls as more than a fleeting visitor. They are making some changes of their own, after all, with Hawthorne on board and efforts to make the Tower more integrated with the rest of the City. Maybe he’d be interested in having a voice in that. Maybe he’d have found himself with a greater appreciation for their perspective, even as they got a glimpse of his. Maybe with the Traveler blossoming a-fresh overhead he’d finally, tentatively, wary but willing, start to shuck the ‘renegade’ tacked on ahead of Hunter.
I’d kind of like to think so.

some short naegiri drabble thing
just a short naegiri drabble thing bc why not im craving naegiri also btw i just played a three hour game of monopoly that isnt finished yet (continuing tmw morning) and im loaded eat my ass togami also i wrote this on my phone which has autocorrect turned off so sorry for any typos/grammar errors and sorry this is not v good i wrote it late at night :/ It wasn't often the two of them got to be alone together, and to be honest Naegi couldn't tell whether that was good luck or not. He and Kirigiri were close, sure, but the two of them often shared awkward silences. To occupy themselves, they decided to walk around the third floor together, hoping to find something that peeked their interests. Aside from a few notes of possible weapons found in several different rooms (ones they'd make sure to be wary of) nothing came up. They returned to Naegi's room together and conversed casually, Naegi often being the conversation starter. They got to know each other a bit better, however Naegi realized something and couldn't help but speak his thoughts. "Y'know, Kiri," he started, looking up at the ceiling. "I don't think I've ever heard you laugh before." "Is that so?" Kirigiri answered, turning to Naegi. "I don't remember ever laughing around you." "Well, I was just thinking that..." Naegi started. "You just seem to keep your composure in every situation... how?" "I can't exactly guess," Kirigiri shifted a bit. "It just comes naturally." "I see... well, I think you should loosen up a little... you seem to be tense most of the time." Naegi faced Kirigiri, his expression showing childish enthusiasm. His friend couldn't help but smile at his expression. "Is this a challenge?" Kirigiri smirked, obviously challenging Naegi. "Alright, make me laugh." "Any rules?" He asked. "No constraints." The next few minutes were spent telling ridiculous jokes and Naegi attempting to do weird actions, but nothing seemed to phase Kirigiri. The odd chuckle was the best reaction he got out of her. "This is impossible!" He half-whined. "You're way too good at this..." he scoffed childishly, trying to think of something else to try. "Hmm, well if you think of anything that tickles your fancy, let me know." She huffed, still smirking at Naegi. "Wait..." Naegi paused, a sudden idea popping into his head after hearing Kirigiri's words. He cursed himself for not thinking of this sooner. Now that he thought about it, this course of action should've been the first thing he tried. "Hey, Kirigiri," Naegi mused, smirking at his friend, which in turn made Kirigiri frown back. "Can I ask you something?" "I suppose," she answered stoicly. "Are you ticklish, by any chance?" Naegi mentally highfived himself for his own idea as he watched Kirigiri's face go from one of confidence to one of slight panic. The answer was clear as day, and Naegi could see the anxiety clouding her eyes. She was blushing slightly, but she was trying to keep her composure as much as possible. "Uh..." Kirigiri trailed off after clearing her throat. "I... don't know?" "You don't know, huh?" Naegi asked a retorical question, leaning over his friend and making himself seem slightly taller. "Makoto Naegi, I swear..." she whispered as she backed herself further away from Naegi, almost falling off the bed. "Well, if you don't know, don't you think it's best to find out?" Naegi asked, raising his hands to his chest level and wiggling his fingers deviously. Upon the sight of his fingers, Kirigiri made a strange choking sound as if trying to fight back a snicker of anticipation. It's not that she was unbearably ticklish, but it was something about Naegi's tone of voice and smirk that just got to her. "I think information like that is best kept secret..." "I don't think so," Naegi said as he started lightly fluttering his fingers over Kirigiri's stomach, causing his friend to jerk and gasp suddenly. She didn't struggle too much, as if determined to hide her ticklishness from Naegi, but oh, he knew. "N-naegi!" Kirigiri gasped. "Un-hand me this i-instant!" she demanded in-between grunts and tiny squeaks, trying to squirm away from Naegi. "Hmm, not gonna happen," Naegi answered, continuing to poke at Kirigiri's stomach, concentrating on getting her to crack. He noted that she must not be that sensitive on her stomach, so he moved his fingers to Kirigiri's sides and gently clawed at them. To say the reaction he got from that was surprising would be an understatement, because he swore he just heard his normally-stoic friend squeal. "Weak spot?" Naegi asked, frowning when Kirigiri shook her head and bit her lip, preventing herself from giggling. Naegi changed techniques, dragging his fingers lightly over Kirigiri's sides. His friend seemed to be more sensitive to that method, so he did more investigating and tried moving his hands even higher. That's when the dam broke and Kirigiri's sudden loud squeak made Naegi jump. "Naegiiii!!" Kirigiri almost whined before starting to laugh, trying to grab Naegi's hands to pry them off the sides of her ribs. "I-I swehehear!! Nohoho!" "Looks like I found a weak spot~" Naegi teased and laughed along with her. He blushed upon hearing her giggles and squeaks, realizing that Kirigiri's laugh was quite... cute. And it seemed that as time passed, his friend's laugh just got louder and squeakier, which in turn made Naegi laugh because this was definitely a rare sight, considering Kirigiri's personality and stoicness. He switched from gentle touches to digging into his friend's ribs, which appeared to be effective. Naegi decided that he should just have fun with this. "Hey," Naegi said in an bubbly tone. "Hey, Kiri." He retracted his hands for a short moment, allowing Kirigiri to breathe. "Eheh... wh-what?" She tried to sound serious, but her aftershocks of being tickled kept her giggling and blushing. "I'm assuming you know about the theory where men have one less rib than women... or maybe it's the other way around? I wanna test that." Naegi smiled almost innocently. "C-can't you just look that up?!" Kirigiri was in-directly begging at this point, considering her ribs were most definitely her weakest spot. "The internet doesn't always tell the truth you know, and plus, why do that when I can have more fun testing my theory on you?~" Naegi teased, which made Kirigiri un-characteristically blush and snicker. God, she's adorable... Naegi thought as he slowly dragged his fingers across each of Kirigiri's ribs, counting them one by one, which was proving to be a good method. He could feel her skin twitching underneath his touch, and it was a feeling he found to be quite satisfying. "Okay!! Okay!!" Kirigiri admitted, folding her arms across her ribs to try and prevent Naegi from tickling them. "Nohoho more!" "But Kiriiiiii..." Naegi whined childishly. "I'm not done counting your ribs yet, and all your distracting laughter made me lose count! Now I gotta start all over again," Naegi huffed, starting back at square one, except this time he allowed all of his fingers to flutter freely over Kirigiri's ribs, which in turn made his friend nearly hysterical. "M-MAKotohohoho!! STOHOhohop!" Now she was begging, and Naegi was feeling quite satisfied with his friend squirming and laughing beneath him. "Hmm... not yet..." Naegi said, moving his hands back to where he started, the sides of her ribs. He dug his fingers into the bone, not harsh enough to be painful, but just enough to make it torturous. "Admit defeat and I'll stop." He teased, his voice just loud enough for Kirigiri to hear over her hysterical laughing fit. "C-Come on!! NAEGI!" She squeaked, rolling onto her right side to try and block out Naegi's hands. This only resulted in her friend moving both his hands to her left side, which didn't make the sensations any better. "Just- STOhohop!!" "Is that you admitting you've lost?" Naegi asked, chuckling as Kirgiri nodded. He stopped, just resting his hands on Kirigiri's ribs as he took in how adorable the other looked. She was blushing and still snickering cutely because of the aftershock. He gently curled his fingers, making Kirigiri tense up as he dragged his fingers down both her sides, getting a few last giggles out of her before finally retracting his hands. "Th-that was cruel..." Kirigiri panted, looking up at Naegi, who seemed quite confident. "I won, though!" Naegi exclaimed triumphantly, smirking down at Kirigiri. "I bet you regret putting 'no touching' in your list of constraints for this game." "Don't think you've won this little game of yours just yet," Kirigiri sat up, quickly recovering from the previous attack and Naegi swore he could see her smirking. "We still have another round, and you're the victim this time." With that being said, Kirigiri tackled her friend so she was on top of him and wasted no time in digging her fingers into his stomach. "W-Wait, nohoho!! KIRI!" Naegi squeaked before being reduced into a laughing mess, squirming around and trying to escape his friend's devious fingers. Let's just say Kirigiri got a more than proper revenge that day. NOTES: frick i didnt expect it to be this Long and i dont rly like how this came out but here take it i havent written a fic in so longgg

Ahahaha, aww.. I offer you some tissues in the form of a virtual highfive.
I can only assume based on what they've shown so far. And I think.. whether they become close friends or mere acquaintances, Taehoon would take that all in a stride. Like he usually does. After all his prime rule is to let people live however they want.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But he's not above worming his way into people's lives and personal affairs. He's coded that way. Like, he forces Hobin, Gaeul and Jihyeok to learn Taekwondo. He snoops around with Rumi doing detective work no one asked for. He invades people's personal space every time he gets a chance. It's not like you can fire Taehoon, he hired himself. But that's friendship? Allowing people certain rights (or privileges) to stick their nose into your business or cross some of your boundaries, and vice versa. If he forces Yeonwoo to lighten up and have some fun every once in a while, that's just how friendship works.
Would Taehoon treat Yeonwoo the way he treated Dowoon? I think he will treat him as Yeonwoo because he is Yeonwoo. He drew the line between Yeonwoo and Dowoon the moment he called him by his actual name.
Ah, but he will step on him too, lmao.
Taehoon makes tiny little adjustments defending on who the friend in question is, but there's like.. a standard treatment when you become one of his persons.
Eg.
Hobin = steppale, chair, will cuddle (makes funny reactions, definitely gotta cuddle)
Mangi = steppale with enough effort, too big and uncomfortable to use as chair, (not allowed near him) will not cuddle
Gaeul = looks fragile don't step on, too tiny don't sit on, cannot cuddle that might come across as sexual harassment and that might cause Jihyeok to lose his mind (I also think Taehoon's got a soft spot for Gaeul? And he has some respectful appreciation for Jihyeok? It feels like out of all the people in their group, he's had the most normal conversations with Jihyeok)
Yeonwoo = will retaliate but why not, will retaliate but why not, will retaliate but why not (likely to land a punch, worth it)
Becoming his friend is an act of bravery lol. But in exchange he'll be stupid with you.
Would he be overprotective? He is overprotective, specially to his favorites.
Would he slip and call Yeonwoo Dowoon?
I don't think getting over certain issues are instantaneous. There will always be some lingering effects. Some wounds leave scars and some people experience phantom itching on amputated limbs. If he slips and call him Dowoon, it might be because he still have some remaining sore and tender spots.
Would they argue about it? Would Yeonwoo be annoyed by it? Hurt?
Probably. Maybe not.
When a relationship reach that point of being uncomfortable for the people involved, how they deal with it dictates whether their relationship will grow deeper or if it would fall apart.
I think Yeonwoo's an understanding and generous guy though. He doesn't owe Taehoon anything, heck he doesn't know the guy, yet he still agreed to meet him halfway.
Taehoon slipped and called him Dowoon? You can't expect people to be at their coolest all the time. Everyone has their moments. I think Yeonwoo would understand that.
But I also think for all his weirdness and standoffishness, Taehoon's a very reliable guy. He effectively evaluates himself objectively. He's quick to acknowledge where he needs to grow, he knows when improvements should be made, he recognizes when he's made a mistake, he owns up and faces the consequences of his actions no matter how ugly it is. And he's willing to make efforts to learn or fix things. And he's also impressively perceptive of other people's situation and feelings. Like I said earlier, Taehoon makes adjustments for his friends. I think he actively tries to avoid hurting them emotionally? Sure he'll sit on them and give them dropkicks but he tries not to offend them in a personal way.

Aww, when you put it that way, it’s so painful, Kassy.
So allow me to think around it and pretend I’m not dead inside. I hate depresso, grandpa only likes espresso.

I received messages asking about my headcanons for hallucination!Oswald and ghost!Oswald (and accompanying ghost!Kristen), and I thought I’d post them publicly in case anyone else wants to read!  Head’s up, I headcanon Os as an angry, taunting hallucination who is out to make Ed’s life hell - so if reading about that isn’t your cup of tea, please scroll by this. <3
Hallucination!Oswald
In the beginning, Oswald only appears when Ed is about to make a criminal move. Oswald is Ed’s doubts as a person/criminal, and the lingering anger/unresolved feelings regarding Oswald’s death. He stands at Ed’s side, sneering and judging Ed’s technique, tactics, Riddler imagery, etc. Oswald appears as Ed imagines he’d look: drenched in water, seaweed and other plant growth on him, blood still dripping from his wound. Oswald mocks and taunts, snarls and screams - a condescending, wrathful hallucination who interrupts more than one of Ed’s plans.
Ed stares down the hallucination more times than not, but nearly has to look away when Oswald coughs blood in his face.
Oswald brings up the fact that Ed murdered him at any conceivable opening.  “Oh, you need a getaway car?  Too bad your only friend who used to drive you is dead because you killed me.”
After a while, Oswald just randomly appears in front of Ed. Ed will be sitting at table, eating breakfast and Os is just there, peeling an orange and making a sly comment. Ed turns to Os and hisses, “Will you just go away?” Oswald laughs, which leaves Ed more confused. Os tilts his head and gives a chilling smile that’s almost pitying. “You gotta let go of me first, Eddie.” Oswald disappears.  Ed tells himself aloud that he already has let Oswald go. (He’s lying.)
Os has a particular habit for appearing when Ed is talking to other people.  He’ll interject comments here and there until he distracts Ed and makes the conversation awkward. They don’t like you, Oswald sing-songs as Ed talks to a potential ally. You never were likable, remember? Except to me - but I’m dead, so what good is that? I don’t know what I saw in you. When Ed shakes hands with his newest ally, his handshake is tighter than he means it to be.
Eventually, Oswald’s appearance deteriorates; the more Ed can’t let go of Os, the more Os’ appearance decays. His skin is blue-green and his teeth are black when he bares them at Ed and says your days are numbered, Ed.  I’m coming. Ed knows that’s impossible, but when a door slams in the next room, he nearly jumps out his skin.
“I had to do it, Oswald,” Ed insists, his body nearly shaking with anger, just like at the docks all over again. “Don’t you understand? I didn’t want this.  I never wanted this.” Oswald gives him a sad look, tired and hurt. I didn’t either, but you didn’t listen. It’s the last time Ed sees Oswald as a hallucination.
Ghost!Oswald
aka the cracktacular adventures of Ghost!Oswald and Ghost!Kristen fucking with Ed
Oswald takes to haunting Ed in whatever hellhole Ed’s crashing at for the night, just because he can.  He’s angry that Ed killed him, and he wants Ed to know that. He starts with little things: slightly moving a picture frame. Knocking a bottle of shampoo into the bathtub.  Turning on the TV set. Y’know, Ghost 101 stuff.
The more Ed is convinced that ghosts aren’t real and he’s just hallucinating, the more Oswald escalates. Like oops, I just threw a book at your head.  You’re not going to hallucinate the headache you’re going to have, trust me :)
Knowing Ed’s a sucker for puzzles, Os leaves little clues that he’s behind the hauntings. A purple ribbon. An origami penguin, followed by an origami question mark. Any little thing to remind Ed of their time together.
Somehow, Oswald kind of bumps into Kristen in the afterworld, and at first is like “are you kidding me, of all the people I run into, it’s Isabella? Really?” and Kristen is like uhh who? And that’s how Oswald realizes he found Ed’s first murdered ex instead.
Os tells Kristen who he is, and Kristen is not here for some awful murdering criminal, and ugh clearly Ed and Os were made for each other. Os’ smile is bitter because oh, friend, how wrong you are. Kristen and Oswald form some kind of tentative kinship, bonding over the fact that they were both murdered by Ed and that sucks.
Os and Kristen are talking and then Os is like “oh hang onto that thought, I gotta go fuck up Nygma’s morning” and Kristen is like ???? os explains how he’s been haunting Edward because he’s an angry ghost. Kristen wants in. They share a smile. And that’s how they both go around, making Ed doubt whether or not ghosts exist or not.
At some point, Oswald learns how to make himself appear to Ed as a see-through, ghostly image.  Ed thinks it’s a hallucination (but strange how the last hallucinations looked so solid...). Os walks Kristen through the Process, and when she’s able to appear as well, they highfive each other.  Cue both of them appearing and having sassy conversations about Ed right in his face.
At some point, Os can feel himself (like, his spirit) being tugged away from the afterworld. He’s like “omg I think someone found me and is bringing me back to life or something” and Kristen is like “bringing you back to life?? wtf??” Os laughs like “lmao yeah that’s a thing now in Gotham, don’t ask”.  Kris is quiet for a moment and then asks if he thinks he can bring her back to life too. Os blinks, considers, and then shrugs his shoulders in a dramatic gesture like “well I mean your body is in pieces, but hey this is Gotham, I’m sure we can swing something!!!”
After putting a gun to Dr. Strange’s head, he’s able to create a clone of Kristen, and by some magic, restores her memories.  Eventually, she and Os cross paths in the world again; they kind of just smile a little, heads nodding in acknowledgement.  Here, they are destined to be on opposite sides of the criminal world, but neither will forget the time they teamed up and haunted the fuck out of Edward Nygma.
(bonus: oswald finds ed, who thinks he’s a hallucination. os is like LOL NO, GUESS WHAT, GHOSTS ARE REAL BRUH and goes in for a punch. later, kristen runs into ed and ed is so excited to see dear isabella is back! NOPE IT’S KRISTEN BINCH kristen yells while going in for a punch, THAT’S FOR MURDERING ME AND CHOPPING ME INTO PIECES WTF YOU BASTARD)
