ATTENTION: Someone stole my heckin’ artwork and put in on Redbubble on their own account 🫥

It’s not just the tote bag, too— they copied the design, uploaded it, and selected yes for every single product option, allowing folks to purchase any product with this design from their site.

Folks, please do not do this.

If you want the same tote bag in green, or a hat with the same design or something, just ask the artist. I’m sure I and many others would be happy to oblige.

If you’re thinking to save money, I regret to inform you that Redbubble keeps most of the profits anyways, so you’re still going to have to pay nearly full price for the product.

Most importantly, by reuploading someone else’s work under your own name, you’re depriving artists of the credit for their hard work.

I spent the eight days leading up to the release of Octopath 2 making those countdown icons in anticipation of playing a masterpiece.

I was thrilled that people liked the icons, and even more thrilled that folks wanted physical versions of them in the form of stickers or shirts or tote bags or whatever else. That’s why I made my Redbubble page in the first place: so the people who like my art get to keep it as a physical product while expressing their appreciation. Reuploading artwork not only robs me of the profit I’d earn, it also robs me of that knowledge that all artists covet: that folks out there love our work.

In short: Please don’t steal art, friends.

That said, this person also has some other fanart on their Redbubble page. It might be their own work, or it might not. If you’re an artist who has drawn Octopath Traveler fanart, please check it out. There’s a Zelda thing on there too— a fanart of Hestu from BotW/TotK.

I know people here are good folks and I probably don’t have to say this, but please *do not* harass the person who made this page. This is partly why I haven’t included a direct link. I’d like to think it was an honest mistake.

And last of all, shoutout to @8bitayla for letting me know that they found this page! I very much appreciate the notice.
