Ok i think it s time i show tumblr my jekyll and hyde character designs.

Ok so, i was reading the book for the second time and Utterson's description comes up and, listen, I HAD A VISION. I absolutely love the "lean, long, dusty, dreary and yet somehow lovable" middle aged man description, you don't understand. This book is peak, you just don t get fire lines like "if he be mister Hyde, i shall be mister Seek" in contemporarty fiction anymore.

And, as much as i need a low budget victorian twink anime adaptation of the story, IT WOULD GO SO HARD as one of those obscure and very whimsical european animated films [those ones with an artstyle, if you know what i mean, very shape, and with lots of funky textures (maybe)]

So i took it upon myself to design the characters! I shall now yap about them.

Utterson is pretty straight foreward, he is indeed very lovable, can confirm. He is the reason i started making these designs.

Hyde was a hard one because, yes he's drscribed a lot in the book, but no one ever mentions any particular traits. Like, my bro, "deform, but with no nameable deformity" doesn't fucking help?? Instead i drew him in a slightly different art style (most notably, i gave him irises, yes, very evil trait indeed). Can't say i wasn't influenced by the MazM game with the hairstyle :3

Oh oh and also, throughout this supposed movie i imagine you don't get to see Hyde's face until what happens in the last chapter (like, his face would be cast in shadow, or hidden by funky composition idk), also because no one in the book can describe him propperly, very ambiguous litte man.

i keep seeing that post making rounds about renaming your cc with no special characters to fix your loading times, which, i haven't tried out yet but i want to! yet i keep seeing people doubting its efficacy so, if you want a solution I can confirm works wonders to run the game faster: let me redirect your attention to this mod

they aren't kidding when they say it makes the game run smoother and helps with the lag. i know personally it fixed my loading times SIGNIFICANTLY and many friends i have sent this to have confirmed me to have experienced the same. best of all? it's just a one time download!! it doesn't break with new patches and doesn't require updating

it honestly was a game changer for me and seeing there's so many people out there who also struggle with booting up their game (which, idk why i assumed it'd be a me thing) and although the installation might sound a bit confusing it's actually quite easy if you don't use any custom settings 👍

The GBG project is definitely the funniest thing Kuusuke has done.

It's incredibly cartoonishly evil.

"Familiarizing them with this technology will reduce both their fear and resistance", "gain blind trust", "encourage them to stop thinking", "the target(Saiki Kusuo)" - it's so over the top.

But aside from that, another factor for it being really funny is how he Forgot the bag with the data.

Kuusuke took a device to set up a fake phone conversation, parts to modify the shooting contest gun with, but not it.

Kuusuke deliberately came back to live with his grandparents for this project. And before that, he stated that he'll return once he thinks he can win. The GBG project was a well-prepared attempt to win. And he just didn't bring the plans for it.

ok actually here are my speculations because i'm bored PLEASE do not spoil anything if i'm right about any of this i don't want to know yet. most of this is wild speculation to be honest but i do have some theories.

now ive never read wuthering heights and i MAY be confusing this with a different book by the same author but i'm pretty sure this is the book that has an old woman trapped in the attic and theres a landlord?? who is evil? based charlotte(?) bronte moment

heathcliff randomly mentioned needing to get back to someone named cath(erine?) in the s.e.a. intervallo. i have seen a lot of sad fanart of him and some random woman so im pretty sure that cath(erine?) is his wife or gf and she's dead but his phrasing implies that he doesn't know that

the canto is called the heartbreaking so hes probably going to find out at some point that his wife is dead

his base ego seems to imply that he was in prison and killed someone in there-- did he kill the guy who killed his wife? and then was imprisoned for it? no because that would imply that he knew she was dead. hm.

there's something about a wild hunt but like isn't that an entirely different folktale. maybe it shows up in wuthering heights idk.

he also mentioned being in a syndicate so i can see this going two ways: either he joined after his wife died (again what's the timeline like there?????) or they met while he was still in the syndicate and maybe she died because of that. mafia romance but make it actually cute? i feel like his wife would be very much a lady but heathcliff seems like he's been a ruffian his whole life which i do think is cute

canto 7

don quixote is a vampire and assumedly really old based on her manner of speaking. there is a don id called "the manager of la manchaland", which is the bloodfiend theme park(?) based on what barber outis has told me. ergo don is connected to the manager of la manchaland and if we follow the trend of yi sang having the spicebush id and ishy having the ahab id, the manager is going to be a major antagonist of the canto.

there's a group of like 4(?) bloodfiends who call themselves a family (source: priest gregor attack name), but based on the outis uptie story there's some underlying tensions and possible infighting

so my theory is that the actual manager of la manchaland is the vampire who turned don into a vampire (assuming that's how things work in limbus world) and she looks up to them (hence her second vampire form(?) looking kind of like the manager id) but something happened at some point and she didn't want to be the villain anymore? so she decided to become a hero and wiped all her memories and left

the bloodfiends are possibly fighting over who gets to take over the theme park when the manager retires? and when don returns they try to stop her from getting in because they think the manager favours her and also i get the sense that they're generally kind of bitchy mean people. but don obviously won't accept taking over the park because you know she's a hero now and wants to Do Good even if the manager wants her to return to the park and their family

don's base ego is called "le sangre de sancho" and features her wielding a similar blood lance to the manager id don, meaning she based her special move off of the manager and somehow remembered this even after forgetting everything else? idk

hong lu's family is evil

his grandmother is like BIG evil i know that much. and she has a bunch of mutant pets??

his sister is presumably not evil and is maybe the guide character for this canto

in the book he marries his cousin? according to wikipedia

he gets grievously injured by a family member at some point if the new hong lu ego is to be interpreted literally

grandma is retiring and the kids are all fighting over who gets to inherit Something?? this feels too similar to my canto 7 theory so one of these is going to be wrong and it's probably not this one based on "family hierarch candidate" ishmael

there's a bunch of stuff going on at heishou and mao, which are places(?) and probably have assassins that work for hong lu's family (source: i borrowed maoust from a friend to check her out today and her attack names implied this)

theres an image of baby hong lu looking at something bad that happened like O-O that ive seen circulating so something bad happened when he was a kid. his grandma probably like killed a friend in front of him to make an example.

canto 9

i HAVE read hell screen and it was really good

since ryoshu's "art" is killing, she was probably involved in a syndicate and worked as an assassin

syndicate boss held her daughter hostage and used that leverage to force her to kill people for them? but there must have been a reason for them to go to all this trouble because ryoshu LOVES killing it's not like you'd have to force her to do it. or maybe it was more like it is in hell screen where they're just keeping the daughter close as a threat if she ever steps out of line

she's gonna be hired to do some insanely large crime, a murder of insane scale probably

i think she's gonna end up killing her daughter unknowingly. the syndicate boss will set her up to do it but she won't know who she's killing until it's too late-- perhaps she burns down a building?

the name of her base ego, forest for the flames, combines the phrase "forest for the trees" (i.e. being unable to see the bigger picture and being lost in the details) with fire, and i think that's probably how her daughter died.

the syndicate leader might end up being a member of hermann's league of nine? they'll definitely be involved here regardless.

all i know about the stranger is that meursault is autistic as fuck and kills a man and then shoots his corpse like 6 more times

i have heard people speculating that there's going to be a traitor in the crowd and most people seem to think it's outis which is ??? way too obvious if everyone thinks that. i think faust is up to something. i don't trust her. why did she gather all the sinners AND VERGILIUS i feel like we're overlooking that. this whole thing seemed to have been her project; she built mephistopheles and gathered the sinners, who are all conveniently involved with the enemies who seek the golden boughs, and she tracked yi sang down because she knew he made the mirror and she could use that, and she's kind of dante's manager and told them what to do at the start. she's up to something. she makes a deal with the devil in her original book. hello.

maybe she even hired those people to chase dante through the woods in the prologue so that they'd be forced to replace their head and lose all their memories so that she'd be able to manipulate them? feels like a bit of a stretch but also she's literally a genius who invented a bus that eats people

she has some sort of connection to other realms/other versions of herself? idk ive seen a couple mentions of an interdimensional groupchat which is. odd.
