FLASH REPORT: Central Visayas Team between 'Kai' and 'Rain' bunked down in Big 4 finale of 'Pinoy Big Brother: GEN11' [#FIRSTonOneNETnews]

MANDALUYONG, NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION -- The Central Visayas female housemates team faced a shocking defeat in last night's series finale of 'Pinoy Big Brother: GEN11' Saturday evening (October 26th, 2024 -- Mandaluyong local time). The Visayas team, which had been a strong contender throughout the season, saw their Cebuana representatives were named 'Ms. Kaisha Denniel Montinola' and 'Ms. Rainah Jenn Celmar', who were placed 4th and 2nd respectively.

Guadalupe' in Cebu City, this same name of province, ranked down in 4th place with the official and final score of 17.38%, which got her PHP200,000 (or about U$D3,415). In contrast, Rain from 'Brgy. Canamucan' in Compostela, this said city -- who nearly clinched the top position like a dodged bullet, which also a final score of 26.05% and won PHP500,000 (or about U$D8,538)

Both contestants will be awarded consolation prizes, which consist of a 2-way travel package for two (2) to South Korea, courtesy of Mitzy Travel and Tours Incorporated (MTTi). Housemate contestants and a Big Winner individual will also get a 3-month contract as an ambassador for Lazada's LazAffiliates, valued at PHP400,000 each (or U$D6,831), regardless of both consolations and big winners, and cash prizes sponsored and given by 'Ms. Ma. Linda A. Macanas' of Chrismarie Builders and Construction Supply (CBCS). And, one of the Big 4 finalists, not including the Big Winner, honors to receive an award from 'Cream Silk and Ponds Hair Institute'.

The Big Winner title went to 'Ashley Sofia Dansico-Smith' (known as 'Fyang') from 'Mandaluyong City, National Capital Region'; who garnered a commanding 30.66% of the public votes from the Philippines' leading electronic mobile wallet fintech voting partner 'Maya'. Fyang's victory comes with a grand prize of PHP1 million (or U$D17,075), a house and lot from Vista Land and Lifescapes Incorporated (VLLi), and the same travel package to this above-mentioned foreign country.

The other housemate members of the Big 4, 'Nyckolette Madelo' from 'Barangay City Heights, General Santos, South Cotabato', placed 3rd with 25.91% of the votes, and will receive PHP300,000 (or U$D5,123).

Visayas team's loss is particularly poignant, given the earlier evictions of 'Mr. Bryan Dudero Ruiz' (Brx) from 'Bacolod City, Negros Occidental'; and 'Ms. Jasmine Helen Dudley-Scales' (Jas) from Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental; who were both strong contenders inside the PBB house.

Our news team of OneNETnews learned that the Cebuanas didn't win, Kai and Rain will still receive consolation prizes effective immediately. They will eventually gain sponsorships and endorsements of the chosen runner-up housemate individual. They'll get free franchises like at 'Don Macchiatos' and 'Don Lemon', just like in the rewards given massively to the 2-time Paris Olympic gymnastics gold medalist 'Mr. Carlos Edriel Yulo' from 'Malate, Manila, National Capital Region'.

The Visayas team at 'PBB: GEN11' saw Cebu, Dumaguete and Bacolod City have fall short, but 'Kaisha Denniel Montinola' and 'Rainah Jenn Celmar' will still get consolation prizes throughout the weekend. On the other hand, 'Ashley Sofia Dansico-Smith' (or Fyang), really shone to kill, and was declared Big Winner, outdoing all her tough competitors.

QUEZON, MANILA -- The popular social experiment reality TV show 'Pinoy Big Brother: GEN11' has announced the permanent suspension of viewer voting for weekly evictions effective mid-September 2024. This decision comes in response to a significant wave of online hate comments and death threats directed at the show's housemates.

In a report from ABS-CBN News, the drastic measure is said to result from the alarming increase of negative and extremely harmful comments created on their social media platforms, a reason cited by producers for the move. It would protect the mental and emotional well-being of housemates as contestants who have been victimized, severely both cyberbullied and cyber-libeled.

Although, this said suspension of eviction voting takes effect, 'Save' voting through the electronic wallet fintech smartphone app partner 'Maya' will still be part of the weekly eviction results until the Big Night for this season on Saturday night (October 26th, 2024 at 8:30pm -- Manila local time). That way, viewers and streaming online may still have a say in the fate of their favorite housemates, but in a more positive way.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) and cybercrime authorities have actively launched an investigation into the matter, with the likes of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO). Those liable of hate speech and threats could be brazenly charged with criminal offense on both cases as above-mentioned.

Online and physical offenders for commuted cases under the law may be imprisoned for 4 years and 8 months to 14 years under 'reclusion temporal' level of The Revised Penal Code (RPC). Those who were involved could be detained at a nearest provincial jail in their provinces per one social media account with a fine of PHP400,000 to PHP1.5 million (or U$D6,830 to U$D25,613).

This issue has sparked a national conversation about the impact of social media on mental health and the responsibility of online users to maintain a respectful and safe environment. Producers for the competitive social experiment reality TV show have called upon the public to stand with housemates and refrain from harmful behavior online.
