Hello, and welcome!! Today is May 6th, the first day of the yearly PFP Art Contest, and also my 21st birthday!! To celebrate, I'm going to be hoisting an art contest with prizes to the winners!!

What is the PFP Art Contest?

The Profile Pic Art Contest, or the PFP Contest is an event where all you wonderful TMNT artists get the chance to draw me a new profile pic, and win prizes!! The winning art piece will be my new PFP for the full year until the next PFP Contest!

The PFP Contest will run from May 6th, through June 6th, and on June 7th, I'll announce the winner!!

How does this work, and how to participate?

A week ago, I had you all vote in a poll, deciding which turtle you'd all prefer. And this years winner is Donatello!!

From the start of the contest, to the end, you'll post your art, and tag me so I can reblog it, kind of like how a DTIYS works.

As this year's turtle is Donatello, that's who you'll all be drawing. The theme for this contest is reading, (as this blog is a fanfic blog) meaning, the turtle you choose to draw, from any of the three iterations (Rottmnt, TMNT 2012, & Mutant Mayhem/Tottmnt) MUST be reading!!!!

To participate, you don't need to follow me, or know me, or even have ever interacted with my blog. You simply have to follow the rules, draw a turtle reading, and tag me!! Everyone is welcome, and anyone can win!!

What are the rules?

You can only draw Donatello for this years contest. Doesn't matter the iteration (Rottmnt, TMNT 2012, or Mutant Mayhem/Tottmnt). And he must be drawn reading!! Doesn't matter what; a comic, a book, on the phone, but he HAS to be reading. This is a fanfic blog after all!!

2. Artwork MUST be square!! Otherwise I can't use it!! Size doesn't matter as much, as tumblr seems to let me use any image I'd like. But it has to be square.

3. Has to be a canon iteration turtle. No fan iterations. As much as I'd love that, lets keep it to only canon to keep it fair. Future turtles, and design headcanons are allowed though!!

4. You may submit up to three pieces!! One per iteration!

5. No NSFW, no suggestive art, and no T-cest!!

6. No AI art, EVER. That will get you banned from not just the contest, but from my blog. We love and respect hardworking artists here!! <3

7. No mean or rude behavior to other artists <3

8. Art can be from any dynamic, any color palette, any setting. Have fun, and really explore your creative options!!

9. No romantic pieces please.

What I'm looking for in art

Fully finished pieces, i.e. fully rendered, or fully colored in.

Single turtle, not multiples.

Any media of art!! Traditional, digital, I love it all! <3

Any age of turtle. Tots, teens, future turtles, they're all welcome!

Any lighting, or setting. Have fun!!

Creativity!!

Frankie:

His style is those handmade plushies, having a sewn-in nose made by thread and button eyes. I went with this because Frankie was the first character to be made, so his plushie design would show that "first try" type of look. Also, I got a lot of inspiration from the Yooztooz plushie, I will not lie...

Henry:

His style follows the one from the game mainly. There are two reasons why: The first is because it has that printed-on look, which is usually for mass production, which I think fits since he looks like he would try to get his name out there as much as he could. The second reason, though, is because of his bootleg monster plushie I have seen, which is also print-on type, which I love, and its so creepy and derpy at the same time. I love it. It fits him well.

Deputy Duck:

The ducks stype is pretty straight forward. I wanted to keep with the theme of him having that big bulky stomach like his iPad form, but I didn't know how until I remembered I have a pillow pet type dude and realized I could do something similar, where he has a pillow as a body, so kids could use him for naps. I like to think the screen on his stomach could have different types of styles and patterns on it... idk why, just like the idea.

Noob Noobs:

I got really inspired by this form from this post of mine. I talked about how much I love them and how I need a plush there, and poison-perfection in the comments talks about them having a button on them, so I added that to the plushie form. I went for the other type of mass production type for this, this being the "stiff and won't move" ones where they are more meant to be on a shelf than played with. I thought it would fit them since there are so many, and they probably wouldn't go bootleg style like Henry's does. And like the comment said, they have a "push me" button, which if you click, will make them scream.

Lucky:

I mainly added this one for myself. I made the Lucky Contestant's cartoon form a plushie, and so because of that, I wanted to add them too. They are the new form of plushies you see now in stores being sold- you know, the ones with the giant bead eyes that stare into your soul but also somehow hold that old homemade style that Frankie's types of plushies look like. I like the idea of Frankie's being handmade and trendy with people that type of style while Lucky's is trendy with the kids who buy them from stores.

Bluelock headcanons except it's the bluelock TV fandom

• rin and sae stans have crazy beef. You know they were making edits to 'the winner takes it all' by abba after the u20 match and sae stans were commenting 'womp womp' and similar sentiments

• There are 3 kinds of players regarding ships,

1. Actively feeds (trolls) the shippers (eg: hiori)

2. Unintentionally feeds the shippers (eg: isagi, rin, otoya)

3. Reonagi and ryusae

• someone started a petition to eliminate isagi from bluelock for 'unsportsmanlike behaviour' and spread it around to get signatures

• Ness has an alt account that's just an isagi hate page

• he did not start the petition but by gods did he spread it around (lowkey was jealous he hadn't thought of it first)

• ego has a tumblr blog and that's his only social media page

• the name is 'actuallyegojinpachi' but his pfp is one of those ego pictures with an edited on pink sparkly bow so no one believes him

• he actively spreads misinformation and bullshit theories so no one believes him even when he reveals real info

• it's crazy popular, and he exists as one of the starting pillars of the fandom

• literally every product yukimiya has worked with sold out overnight after his debut on bastard munchen (including a toothpaste brand for old people)

• There was a frenzied search for whatever no name brand shampoo and conditioner bluelock has after chigiri let it slip in some interview that his hair care was literally only whatever was there.

• kunigami fans have pfps of him edited with like emo stuff (think dark eyeshadow, chains etc)

• There was a character lookalike contest and chigiri's sister won as him

• there's a twitter page that's does a 'x days since reonagi miscommunication bullshit'

• aryu is a Pinterest girl kaneshiro told me in a dream

• There is a dedicated subreddit for 'bluelock TV milfs'
